I would also like click to move to be an option to enable. Handicap players find this to be a great benefit. I also miss auto follow/approach targets. Press a skill and character runs at the targeted person to get in range and attack. Click to move is basically auto run but no keyboard use. You can turn without spinning your mouse or using the slow A and D keyboard turn.
Aion also has click to move and you could fly, which is similar to under water. You click on objects and terrain.

These 3 bosses need to spawn every 3 hours atleast 8 times a day. To give people a chance to attend.
The following extra-hard world bosses will occur at specific times, interrupting the standard rotation: Karka Queen (Southsun Cove)
03:30 PDT
09:00 PDT
19:00 PDT
Tequatl the Sunless (Sparkfly Fen)
04:30 PDT
10:00 PDT
20:00 PDT
Triple Trouble (Bloodtide Coast)
05:30 PDT
11:00 PDT
21:00 PDT
Megaservers are great. They really help mostly off peak ours where the population is lowest. NA prime time killing meta champs after reset has always been zergy.
Can I do the Battle on my server please?

the biggest problem is the event scaling system. Zerg or don’t win crap. 20 ppl should be able to kill atleast one night. Overflows kitten you for not having full map population.
The blue boss is NOT glitched; you need to kill the menders that spawn on the east; I solo’d them and we got the boss down.
However; the event is glitched – Killed all 3 bosses twice now and now colours spawn. This is crazy.
Our blue boss wasn’t close to menders one time that I know of.
Blue boss has a bug. It resets itself to full health. ive tried the event twice and both times it went back to full HP.
I hate having a game that offers build diversity but yet makes it cumbersome to do so. Take traits, resetting them by finding an npc in a town and paying for it. I’d rather it be free and on the fly as long as your not in combat. I think new mmo adopting these steps would go along way. Some things mmo’s do just seem outdated.
It would be so nice if ascended gear had the drop down menu to change its stats. Nobody wants to have a few armor sets taking up inventory because they need a tanky wvwvw build and beserker pve build or whatever style.
I wish Runes and sigils would be discoverable like dyes. In a way the would be unlock for your character. Then be able to select them and equip them unlimited times. This would make using more builds viable.
I’d clike to have a different menu or something to be able to switch weapons (out of combat) without needing to look in my inventory or hero panel it blocks a lot of the screen just to find weapons. Premade weapon sets by selecting them on the UI would be ideal.
Due away with repairing armor, it just seems silly to me.
Things I find weird when I first played gw2 is how every class can use ranged weapons or melee weapons. No trinity style play but trinity armor light/medium/heavy.

The thing with IP address locking to a particular worlds is, what if there are multiple people in a household playing on different servers?
My brother initially joined Sea of Sorrows, then moved to Blackgate, and I believe he is now on Sanctum of Rall because he and his guild were paid to move there. Meanwhile, I have always been on Ehmry Bay and have no intention of moving anywhere else because my guildies are awesome (and they cannot be bought).
I would imagine that such IP locks would cause issues for us… if I were still living at my parents’ place, I have since moved out. But still, it happens.
I’d say you can still play pve and spvp. But only one could do wvw if a conflict like your accounts are playing verses each other for the week. I’d say if your not in wvw guilds you can always guest to join in on pve activities. I think it would be rare people in same house both wvw on different servers. WvW numbers are low anyway but these season achievements bring out pve players more. I would also do away with map completion title in wvw needing to be done. Don’t worry nothing will likely ever change.

I’d like to see something like an IP address lock to all accounts from same IP to one server at a time. If you have multiple GW2 accounts you can only play on one WvWvW server. That way it would take more effort to spy. Than just logging in watching commander tags and sabotaging; supply/golem/buildsites.
Voice chat is a seperate issue that anet cannot police.
For me, i’m pretty sure it bugs out on a character then you have to start using another character.
I was using my warrior for the first 2 or 3 days and repeated the maps and still didn’t get credit. Now i’m using a different character going back to same maps and its getting me credit for them. 11/13 completed now.
I noticed mine wasn’t advancing as well. I came to the forums looking for answers. I read that if you switched to a different character it will count.
I switched to another character and I got a ding on a map I done before and it counted towards the achievement.
edit: I was in overflow when it dinged too.
Ok I got another one to count again.
I was doing them on my warrior to start with for last couple days. I switched to my ele tonight and have gotten 2 more previous maps to count. I have not disconnected or switch characters to get it to work/not count. They counted as soon as I zoned into the map at the start.

If they had experience scrolls that jumped you 20 levels, I would be all over that. After three level 80s, I’m tired of leveling… but I’m not tired of alts =D
Agreed!
You can find guides that show you best location for the daily category. really knowing were to go to get it done fastest is key.
I missed a few dailies from not logging on but if I am able to play I usually log in go straight to doing some that I know I need to go out of my way from my plans.
I was wondering for the people that bought the picks, were you aware you can use your karma to buy Orichalcum picks? Or was it more of the convenience factor not have to ever be troubled with running out again.
I bet they add sickles and axes too eventually.
Uh, I would still be annoyed if I was constantly in overflow. I had the same complaint when they introduced Fractals to Lion’s Arch, or with the starting zones close to launch. I want to play alongside the community I chose to be around when I picked a server, not with a bunch of strangers from other servers.
If people are being pushed out of their chosen server onto an overflow server because guests are taking up available slots, there’s still a problem, regardless of whether there’s a world event going on or not.
Then you would be annoyed simply because there are too many people on your server, in which case, they might as well remove the overflow feature and introduce queue times so that you may avoid them. Would you really want to wait in a queue like WvW rather than be given a chance to play while you wait? You can’t fit an an entire server’s worth of players into a zone.
If all the timers were fixed, there would no longer be a reason to guest to other servers, since all servers would have the event starting at the same time. You could guest to another server after yours finished, in an attempt to find a server that’s slower at completing it, but by that point, you should have already joined the event, so unless your server is overpopulated, you wouldn’t have been in an overflow.
You’re just not understanding that the timers can not all be synced. There are different pre-events for these events and when those events are completed depend entirely on when the players in each server completes them. You’re arguing for a change that can’t even work.
Not if you have an hour to complete the event from when it starts. The event fails if the Dragon isn’t defeated within that hour. Then event moves onto next timer. Jonez dies at grenth move on to next timer type of thing.
…snip…
Are you telling me its impossible?
Yes. What happens when the lowest population server boss doesn’t get killed? Will two dragons spawn? What if the dragon is up for 2 hours after spawn, then gets killed. Does that mean the server that kills the dragon has to wait 5 hours instead of 3?
Then you’ll have people wondering why there dragon isnt spawning and trying to guest all over the place to find the dragon that’s still up.
No, logistical nightmare
No the dragons disappears after the Hour i mentioned. The dragon spawns and you have the hour to kill itor it disappears (gets away) and starts toward the next timer.
Make all Timers the same on every server including overflow
Wham bam thank you mam
It’s been explained several times now why that isn’t possible. Less whamming and bamming, more reading.
Are you telling me its impossible? We’re talking about a few top events like dragon timers not all cursed shore chest events. Look at how extra content and holiday events that launch at say 12 noon pacific time across all servers. It goes live at the same time. We can’t have an internal counter that repeats this for dragons? When a dragon appears there can be a timer that starts to countdown say an hour to trigger the new spawn timer that way it gives a cushion of time so all dragons across servers don’t have to be killed at exact time to keep timers in sync. This can at a minimum stop the whole reasoning behind guesting to kill.
Now the overflow map could be trickier. Depending if its running parrallel with said regional servers can share timers or be fairly close. When we had the karka event for lost shores there were overflow servers running at about the same time together for that big one time event. Overflow should always be running and place people in overflow when maps population calls for it. They aren’t magically created when a demand from map reaches population limits. The internal clock for overflow should tell it theres a meta event going on NA overflow and should be spawned thus spawning it.
Heck I don’t know anything but seeems like theres always a way around everything if theres a will to do it. If its way off then ignotre this post.
GW1 had hundreds of overflow districts running during some holiday events.

On the mission Estate of Decay, killing the mouth of zhaitan.
I didn’t get a screen shot on the spot I was at before I fell unfortunately. I was fighting the mouth behind the first pillar to avoid his attacks. Theres a spot where the hill behind the pillar slopes, i think there is a couple short jagged rocks there that i was stuck in. After wiggling and trying to jump out I fell down into water.
I’d would love to visit the luxon and kurzick maps again. The jade sea and its music. Now cantha mainland maybe could be nicer due to the time lapse. Econimic boom so its not so poor looking.
What about the elite dungeons Urgoz and The Deep? It would be great to see a 10 party group.
What I don’t like about it is that it is completely account-based. I have 3 level 80 characters and I want a laurel necklace for at least two of them. Maybe even several of them for at least one char when I’m switching my gear…
Other than that I’m fine with it. It is a long term goal you can work towards in easy and fast steps… though I’d really like being able to do that on each of my characters…
This, very much this.
They should base it on character, or increase the rate.
The problem with making each character able to do them would be people making a character goto WvW or do them in pve. Then delete that character make a new one and repeat. They would have to create a way to stop that somehow. Maybe by making a new character unable to do a daily for like a day/24 hours after creation.
I’m all for getting gear quicker on multiple characters. I really miss that about gw1.
Guesting not guessing
I like this idea.
What i don’t like so much is being hit by anything it slows you down into combat mode. Especially in WvW if 5 people chase you and one hits you then it allows everyone to catch up and your dead. Or running through pve mobs that aggro and hit you in WvW same thing.
I was thinking about this too. Have a server for people to guest for leveling. It would help with the empty zones feeling.
I wish anet would have created home world/overflow option to click on while out in pve land. Overflow would group players in that zone up from all servers if players so chose to do so in an effort to populate zones better.
I think if a person is clearly picking the most crowded areas of the game, like trading post or bank in L.A. or a world event and spams it there its pretty obvious the person is out to annoy and looking for attention.
Kinda reminds me of Aion the power shards spam turning off and on was annoying. I think the did temporary bans for it.
However I still stand very firmly on my point that this game has been a vertical scale game from the start with some horizontal scale elements. I also stand firmly on the argument that combat should not be centered on dodge and it requires more depth to keep gameplay interesting.
.
I heard you still get a bit of vertical gear progression in gw1. Now keep in mind that when I talk about gear progression I’m talking about the ability to get better gear starting at lvl 1.
A true game without vertical gear progression – as I have stated – would be one where you are given the best gear at lvl 1 and everything you do later are for skins/money.
Can you confirm this seeing as you have played it?
Sure. Guild Wars does have vertical progression from level 1-20. When Guild Wars was first released, this vertical progression was pretty harsh due to the disparity between levels. However, there is no vertical progression at end game. Once you became level 20, the playing field evened out and the armor you had from 1-20 became useless.
This was quickly fixed in future campaigns by introducing tutorial zones. Players would level from 1-20 very quickly and the vertical progression was barely felt.
Just to add to this. Gear in gw1 was not level bound. You could get a run to a main town like Droknars or kaineng and buy max gear and wear it at low level. Which is what most everyone did especially faction campaigne. There you bought your gear from npc with cheap materials and got a basic max stat gear. There wasn’t crafting or trading post to buy it from.
