Many players have posted that OOM crashes stopped completely after switching to the 64bit client.
You should try it.

My Graphics are turned down to an absolute minimum. I will not change my OS to 64 bit, and the 64 bit clients are running into the same issue. I have played GW2 since release on this computer with one exception. I did change my video card months ago and that is not the issue.

I can play games with higher requirements on my system than the System Requirements of GW2 HoT.

If I compare my system to that system specs of “Can I run it”, my specs more than clear the benchmark for playing Guild Wars 2.

So for someone who does not work for ANet to comment is either trolling, or a busybody who actually does not know what he’s talking about.

1) Continue to crash and wait for some fix sometime in the future
or
2) Upgrade your system

It is your choice.
And please show me the posts of players using the 64bit client with at least 8 gb ram running into OOM crashes. I’m genuinely curious about that because most say that the crashes stopped completely and I personally have seen only one such post.
And in that case the log suggested that the error was caused by something else.

I’m telling you to post the crash log so that I can confirm that you get indeed OOM crashes with that pc.

You’ve removed the first part which is import since it shows the cause of the error.
My best guess is that you have an OOM crash and are you using the 32bit client.

Your best bet is to upgrade your OS to 64-bit. Many Windows keys allow you to do this at no cost.

And then the guy right below you posts he is crashing with x64….

But since he didn’t post the crash log we don’t know for what reason.
Crashes can have many different causes. If people don’t post the full crash log it is impossible to tell.

The cause of the crash for Tungsten Monarch is that he is using 32bit which causes an OOM error. He will also very likely need to build more ram in his pc.

Post the crash log.

Could you post the crash log that happens when you use “-repair”?

According to the crash log you are still using the old client.
Did you follow these steps or did you do anything else?
•Download the 64-bit client.
•Copy the downloaded program into your Guild Wars 2 game folder.
•Update any shortcuts to the game to point to the new file instead.

Have you tried running the game on the new 64-bit client? Doing so has solved a vast majority of the problems people were having with DS crashes, from what I hear.

There are plans to add further elite specialisations in the future but you will be only be allowed to use one at the same time.
That’s why you can use them only in the last slot. You might notice that this one has a special border which differentiates it from the other slots.

That’s because you have a completely different error according to your screenshot here.

If the error log doesn’t have the line “Module: HMIPCore.dll” this won’t help you.

HMIPCore.dll is causing the crashes.
You should remove that.

You need to equip the tempest specialization.

Deactivate High-Res Character Textures if you are using it and set Character Model Limit to Lowest.

The new maps seem to be more resource demanding.
Are you crashing in the old maps too after such a short time?

Changing your OS to 64bit and building more ram in your pc is probably the only thing you can do if you have already turned the graphics to absolute minimum.

2 GB of memory per application. The only real fix would be to install a 64-Bit version.
