For me, yes. I wanna get the achievement cause I like to collect them. And the fastest way to do it is by the method I am currently doing.

Not by playing it normally, having fun and doing it to win a match.

I would like to know why everyone is so big on Tengu?
Personally I find them uninteresting. I don’t see a reason why I should find them interesting.

They are humanoid bird people who hide behind their walls, protecting their culture. Deciding not to fight until victory is close at hand which is when they will join the fight to get the credit probably.

They go by the quote “We are gonna join but not sure which side to ally with just yet”, which makes no sense, only sides that exist are the dragons and their minions. Neutral lesser races. And everyone else who is fighting the dragons as allies. They currently are neutral. And they can’t join the dragons side and hold on to their free will (not like the dragons are recruiting).

So which brings me to my question. Why is everyone so much in love with the Tengu? Did I miss some juicy piece of lore about them that made everyone fall in love?
Well I shouldn’t say everyone… but majority of people.

If I could put a vote for what a new playable race should be I would put it on Largos or maybe even Kodan. Those I find mysterious and interesting. I would love it if they did some huge underwater expansion related to Largos and Krait and all of those lovely underwater things that escaped their homelands from the Deep Sea dragon. Granted they did some revamp on underwater combat and stuff first.

So by your logic MMOs should be released only as a base game and no expansion EVER after that cause it will be considered “Pay to Win”?

Pay to Win means buying items with real money that are so overpowered and not available in any other way than through real money.

And honestly, my personal opinion, even if the new skills, new profession, new specializations are only available to people who purchase the expansion and extremely overpowered to a point where it makes no sense to play ‘vanilla’ professions anymore I wouldn’t care. If you could buy GW2 at some point in your life, you can as sure as hell buy the expansion. Even if you are struggling with money you can save a dollar every day, starting today and you should have more then enough by the time the expansion lands.

I really hope Logan dies at some point in the expansion. Would be awesome if he is already dead. Sacrificed himself to save the others and stuff like that. I was so happy when I saw him die at the end of Arah story but nooo, he just had to come back…

Just throwing my 2cents here, I would prefer it to be 1spec/prof. I would consider multiple specs per prof a major fail. Took them almost 3 years to balance what we have currently in game for PvP. I don’t even want to imagine the number of years required for balancing all of those specializations if each profession has multiple.

Not really interested in Guild Halls personally. We already have many places that we can go for all sorts of vendors and all crafting stations, some for free (Heart of the Mists) and others for a few silver.
I also don’t see the point of meeting in the same place and communicating in a same place. You can communicate via chat from anywhere, no need to be next to someone.

But I see many don’t share my point of view that Guild Halls are pointless. Possibly cause I don’t have a serious guild that I am into. I jump between several depending on my needs, one PvP guild, one for dungeons with people who know their stuff, my personal guild and a 4th one for the lulz, a place I can use to troll randoms cause they invite anyone

Since I’m sitting on a stack of tomes I will use them on him. I don’t believe in the “I want to level it the hard way cause I want to learn the class”. You only truly learn the class once you hit the level cap and have everything available to you.

I also had this issue, but for two days. Well more accurately last Friday and Saturday. Played GW2 whole day on Sunday and no Black Screen happened.
EDIT: I did update my graphic driver though, maybe that had something to do with it?

Hey guys, I have a question. Like most, I have my personal guild bank. Where I put.. well a lot of stuff I don’t want to carry. Most of them are some very expensive things I collected over time, limited items that didn’t reappear so the prices are huge now.

So my question is, worst case scenario, I get hacked and they delete/sell/trade all my items from the guild bank. Anet will do a rollback on my character, will they do a rollback on my personal guild?

My vote goes to no, they won’t. Cause that guild is not really labeled to me even though I’m the only member there. But does anyone know if it’s possible for them to rollback those items from the guild bank if I provide a screenshot or something?

Someone just scared me with this saying that if this scenario happens I will lose it all (from the guild bank), so I just wanted to know if someone had some experience with this or read something about this type of a problem. Or if some staff member could enlighten me about this.

I am not afraid of being hacked, my security is high on both my client info and my email. But you know… “What if?” moments.

Anyone else experiencing a sudden black screen in game and there is nothing you can do but alt f4 or just close the client?

Last night I had to quit my PvP schedule cause I was constantly crashing. Nothing changed in the morning when I woke up. Same thing now.

What is interesting I don’t always just get the disconnect error, sometimes my screen goes all black and there is nothing I can do in game but alt f4 it.

Yeah I also agree about the journal thing. Character progress should be seen on the character login screen, if that’s too much of a bother then at least in game journal that tells you stuff like where you are with what profession, which dungeon paths you did with that one or story and so on.

And I totally agree with the amount of items that keep clogging the inventory/bank slots. Yes I’m a hoarder, yes I like to collect limited stuff, or things that will remind me later about some previous patches that I enjoyed (I still keep the Polla doll, cause of reasons).
Made a thread about this but I’ll mention it again. Endless tonics. They were a rare thing to appear before Season 2, now two of those come out per patch. I can’t keep all of those on my main character cause there are so many. A tab for them would be excellent, like a tab for mini pets/finishers.

And don’t get me started on Geodes/Bandit Crests and other currencies that should go to the account wallet cause they are… currencies. Carrying around several thousand of those for whatever reasons is really a bother. We had this problem before with Dungeon Tokens and then you made the wallet. Expand on the wallet please.

I would be swarmed with stuff if I didn’t buy several of those Storage Expanders, sadly they don’t work for inventory, only deposit.

Buy ascended trinkets for alts?

I don’t need them. All my alts are geared just the way I like them at the moment, plus these trinkets I had to buy for the collections are currently wasting my inventory/bank slots cause I have no use for them yet.

So I have a question that probably won’t get answered by the devs since “Nothing is off the table” type of a thing, but here goes regardless.

Will they add something new for Crests? I bought everything I wanted for them, all Carapace Armor boxes, all minis and potions. So I’ve been wondering if it’s safe to spend all the rest that I have on the keys and be done with that?

I remember during season 1 they told us that we can safely delete some stuff and that some we should keep, like Blade Shards. Other stuff from the Lost and Found (if I remember correctly) that we can safely delete.

What are the rest of you who are done with the current Bandit Crest vendor doing with your remaining Crests? Keeping them for future uses or spending them all on keys?

I am also willing to pay for the expansion. Please make it happen. Even better if it’s boxed
As far as I know people still buy GW1, either to try it cause they only started from GW2, or just as a part of a collection. Same thing will happen with a boxed expansion. The money for it will keep on coming for years to come.

It’s been 3 days since the patch got released, personally I think it’s long enough, if you haven’t played it yet than too bad. That’s my opinion at least.

Let’s be honest, exotic trinkets are useless in general. Ascended ones are so easy to get.

The problem is that outside the coat box and the few achievements there’s not really much reason to do Vinewrath. AFAIK, there’s no rare, exciting drops in that chest to look out for, or even a mini. This would’ve been the perfect spot to put those Mordrem weapon skins in to keep replayability high, but no, gemstore. Few bandit chests in same spot, but other than that, the same old 2 blues and 1 green from that box.

I’m not 100% but I’ve seen people link Endless Mordrem Teragriff Tonic after the looting of Vinewrath’s chest. So I’m guessing it drops from there. But the prices on it are dropping fast on the TP it seems so it won’t matter soon.

I think they have but I’m not 100%. I know I bought Kasmeers Staff when it was first in the gem store and I’m sure it came back at least one more time after that.

I mean that the Sylvari race does appear to be rather traitorous, based on the cutscene (all of them basically turning on the Pact and killing everyone).

Wynne had the Seal. It is not that far-fetched to assume that Caithe got the seal from her.

Or it might simply be a case of the cave simply being controlled by Mordremoth and thus its servants can enter freely.

But they are not traitors, they didn’t betray anyone. Their free will was taken from them and they are now forced to do that, basically slaves.

If the cave is controlled by Mordremoth why did his minions run away when we opened the gate? The NPC’s say something like “they are scared of the divine fire”. But we had it all along, why did they run right after the gate opened?

They did say that around season finale we will learn the identity of E. I’m expecting an epilogue after this which will reveal it.

I’m around 20 runs, 16 wins, 2 failures 2 DCs. No box yet. I did everything else in between, so now the only thing I am missing to be done with this patch are those 2 boxes.
The only reason why I’ll come back to Silverwastes after I get those two is to spend all my crests on keys (yes you get a lot of crests from Vinewrath, especially if you have no luck to get the coat box) and join some chest farm map.

How did the Shadow of the Dragon get inside as well? Is there some back entrance or something?

How exactly did Caithe get inside the Mystery Cave?
Was she already inside before we entered (connecting the “Someone was here recently” that someone from Destiny’s Edge v2.0 says when we are about to break the seal)?
Or did she simply just walk in right after us?

If she was already inside then how did she enter? If not, where was she this whole time with that egg?

The ‘cinematics’ of Canach are likely glimpses of future content found in HoT.

Waypoints provide near instantaneous travel within Tyria and are part of the lore. News would spread very quickly when waypoint travel combines with word of mouth.

How exactly are the Tyrians using the waypoints again?
If they could do it like us players then it would be very amusing. For example, the Pact noticed they will wipe against Mordremoth and suddenly all of them waypointed to a safe location

So it seems that whenever the is some mess in the lore they can always use the “AHA! But Caithe already knew cause of this or that from her past! No mess created, we have it all figured out”.

15 runs, 0 boxes. They are the last thing I need for this collection. Never coming back to Vinewrath after as well. I just hope I finish it soon.
