Yeah this has been stated many many times that the rewards system is rather bad especially that you get nothing for escorting. I dont think it will be changed anytime soon because the devs have better things to do…… like repair mastery and traps……..

The ascended items are exactly the same. The only difference between the merchants is they sell different infusions. All the other items behave the same way.

Oh ok well you should go look on the wiki they are the highest level stat-wise items. Currently there are only trinkets but eventually all slots will get ascended items.

Honestly if you want T6 materials than it is a lot faster to farm gold and than buy them unfortunately. For example do one run in CoF and it takes about 8-10 minutes (more or less depending on your group). That run will get you about a gold so if you want the most expensive mat which is about 30 silver so you get 3.33 mats for that time. There is nowhere were you can get that kind of return.

If you are asking if the ability to change regular quartz to charged at a place of power will stay than yes. They would not make this go away at the end of this event because than no one would be able to get a full set of gear.

Sorry to say i think the only thing you can do is destroy them. Since they cant be salvaged, mystic toileted, or sold. so only other option is destroy. first see if you can salvage it because the back piece you have might be salvageable but if not destroy that bad boy. Just making sure this is not an ascended item right?

As esplen said if it is 70+ and rare you can get 0-3 ectos . Also to your question about chest or helms, as both are rares and 70+ than they give the same chance at ectos so get helms or gloves not chest because it is a waste of tokens.

What is the item? If it is a karma one than i believe you can’t sell those.

You are correct in your calculations how ever now we get mystic forge stones for free from the achievement chests which would make mystic kits a lot cheaper.

I believe that you have to log in each day to get one chest. So after 3 days you will only get 1 chest. I believe, i will be able to confirm this tomorrow as i will not be able to play until than. (i have not played since this patch).
Edit: Just confirming that you DO only get ONE chest per day.

Well From Evas response and the fact that you still have to have a character in the order and than have to use two transmutation stones i would say it is definitely okay to do this. As someone already said if they really didn’t want people to do this than the armor would be order bound.

I have 8 different characters (one of each class) and am thinking about making another warrior and guardian and am working on kiting them out. I am planning on doing exactly what you said. Get about 150-200 gold put it in my personal guild bank and not take any money out of my other bank or characters. Not sure how long it is going to be until i actually start doing this but they are only cosmetic items so i’m not in a rush.

Hello everyone i have not been able to get on yet, so i have two questions about these chests. First can you really only open one chest per day or is it starting on the day they came out you only get one each day. As in if i log in on the third day they are out can i get three chests or just one. I believe it is the latter but just checking. Second does everyone get mostly the same thing from each chest? On the wiki it says what you get from the chests but i am not sure if that is all the possibilities or if that is everything you get. Thank you in advance for your time.

Ummm first OIIIIIO the triforge AMULET is not a backpiece. Second the quivers and books need a vial of condensed mist essence which you need to get in fractals. Third the sclerite karla shell you had to have SETTLERS stats. So unless you are running apothecary or clerics than there is no backpiece that you can get without doing fractals.
:edit as articluna stated the backpiece is not clerics but settlers stats.

Yeah you get pve drops in pve and pvp drops in pvp, but this system of rewards is account wide so it gives rewards for all aspects. Sorry that you don’t do pvp, but i think having a system that rewards evenly is a lot better than making people that pvp and pve have to pick which ones they want the rewards for.

Yeah not sure why they thought leaving bluff in was a good idea but this should be taken out.

Celestial will have more points over all but they are spread out over every attribute so it is balanced. For an already in game example look at ascended rings. The celestial one, NOT counting the magic find and crit damage has 258 stat points. While other rings have about 230 points. So yes over all they will have more, but for most builds you want to be specialized rather than “ok at everything but great at nothing”.

Have you tried going on the character that first got the other chests?

Probably the inanity and grind associated with the associated titles. Oh, and progress on those titles being broken for much of the event.

Honestly of all the ‘PvP’ minigames, I found Crab Toss to be middle of the road. There were better (Dragon Ball) and there were worse (Snowball Fight).

Wait a minute so in your eyes the mini games ranked best to worse is dragon ball, crab toss, and than snowball fight. Well i guess we all have different a different opinion.

You are only picking the first one you get im pretty sure you are going to unlock all rewards eventually you just get to pick what order you get them in. I loved that they did it this way and not like the HoM where they picked what was unlocked first, second, third, etc. Really looking forward to the radiant armor on my guardian.

Well i think this is the way Anet is going to be releasing new gear from now on. Think about all ascended gear, every single piece is time gated in some way. Either do daily fractals, guild missions, or dailys for laurels. All of them are time gated.

Yeah its true. There is no way for the game to see how much gold you have on other characters so it is free. You can also put your gold in a personal guild if you have one.

Your personal level doesn’t change how much it takes. The only thing the matters is which crafting you use i believe that jeweler and chef are the cheapest to use. i believe that usually it takes about 2 or 3 gold to level a craft to 400 which will get you 10 levels.

I believe that Colin said that the weapon merchants in the back of the black lion trading company will be permanent. So no they are not going away.

Only one a day unfortunately, and you may ask why, well because getting two things in one day is to hard for Anet to fathom.

Yeah there is another achievement tied in to doing the EB puzzle. I guess Anet really likes ganking players, or watching people get ganked. But really its only an achievement that you dont need to do and if you really want to than you can use the fountains for stealth, get a port up, run during slow hours, or go with a group.
