When we had anchorage I was making 40g on week days. Made 100G on a Sunday
Now with invasions I’m at least 10G on weekdays, though I never sell my ectos so it could be higher.
Weekdays I farm for about 4 hours.
Not to pick on you but 40g/4hrs is like making half of minimum wage if you turned it into gems and then gold.
Currently you can make ~3.7-4g for every 100gems
80gems=$1
minimum wage is $7.25/hr before taxes which is about 21.5g
even after the average 25% cut from taxes its ~16g/hr

For guiding guilds on events and missions, yes it’s worth it.
For commanding strategy on WvW, worth it.

Well since we are kinda lacking in other ways to deflect damage i think the blocks are fine the way they are. Remember we can’t get protection like guards can. On the other hand i definitely agree with you that some of your skills could use a nice boost or change, your example is the one i think of the most. No use for it since basically everyone has near perma fury already. You have to agree though that they have made changes for the better for your class lately so i would say stay patient and keep giving them suggestions of what we want. The nerf/buff you see might just be your own

I hate to beat a dead horse here, but it really does seem like Anet did not think the price through.
If this not case and they did think it through, then I find it insulting that they think I would be dumb enough to fall for this.

The only thing I don’t like about ascended weapons and change to legendaries is that we will loose sigil slot for infusion slot. While cool I believe that +4/5 power or something instead of sigil is a bad deal.
I mean some specs rely on sigils. Some sigils give you way extra damage than mere +5 power, right?

This is going to be another WoW again where we work so hard for our weps/gear next thing we know a new patch comes out with new stronger weps/gear and our old weps/gear we work so hard to get are worthless now.

…and dawn just went from 540g to 1111g. these people cant actually expect anyone to pay that price surely when they can buy sunrise outright for 1750g.
Flippers do odd things sometimes. This person/persons maybe thought that because of all the farming the last few weeks that they might be able to get a big return on controlling a market but they might have over estimated.

The mention I recall is that the plan is for some precursors to become craftable. No mention of the time frame nor the method. No details that I’m aware of.
I would guess lots and lots of the time gated materials we are going to get…… At least now we should have a better vision of how long it will take to get a precursor other than buying it.

Sorry but ascended weaponry will be a requirement if you don’t wanna lag behind others in WvW… It’s already bad enough you can feel slightly hampered being in exotic trinkets if your enemy has ascendeds… Imagine if the gap is enlarged by weapons as well which are the biggest chunk of effectiveness when it comes to gear.
I have eight characters with multiple weapon sets. Even if I were to fork over 50 bucks for enough transmutation crystals to keep their looks (which I’m not happy about), the time-gating component means that it’s going to take an eternity just to get my characters up to par again.

I still dont understand why you can charge only one per day. I mean… it’s already limited due to the fact that theres only the nodes in home instances left, so why couldnt they just remove that additional limitation? You have to admit, it’s really kind of silly.
You can buy them off the TP so the home instance node doesn’t limit much. Of course there is not as much as when the four winds was happening but unless we need it for all the upcoming ascended weapons we will never run out of quartz on the TP.

Since you missed Four winds the only way you can get quartz is off the TP. This is also where you get the recipes to make the celestial items. Also know that you have to get a recipe to get the inscription and than also another recipe for each specific item. So if you want a full set of armor for your ele you will need the inscription and than the 6 specific armor recipes.

if you put in 3 rifles and a mystic forge stone … you’ll have a higher chance at other named exotics (which includes precursors).
Source for this data, please? I assume that using a Mystic Forge Stone does not affect your loot table chances at all.
I had always thought that forge stone does not increase your chance and that it only counts as the highest level item you put in. So putting in four level 75 axes has the same chance to be a precursor as 3 level 75 axes and a stone.

Yes. Symbol of Swiftness only adds one second of swiftness if you already have swiftness. Always save it for when your swiftness falls all the way off. Use Greatsword leap or sword 2 on rabbits to catch up when you already have swiftness.
If symbol of swiftness( and other placed swiftness lines) acted differently our perma swiftness would be alot alot easier. Also i would how many critters i have killed in the name of keeping up with people. oh well those kitten rabbits tried to get me killed in gw1.

I love knockbacks/launches, and I wanted to use a hammer. Warrior knockback is a pitiful distance… Also, I wanted to shield stuff from treb attacks in WvW with Sanctuary, but I hear that doesn’t work anymore :S

No that is not how they work. Anything can go in any of the bags. How ever when you first loot something it will try to go in the appropriate bag if there is space. So for example you have one of each of these bags (by the way you can have more than one) and you loot a exotic it will not go in the first available slot in your inventory it will go in the first available slot in the exotic box.

This is totally our fault, we dropped the ball on this plain and simple. We planned to have this messaged ahead of time to be fair to everyone, communication broke down between those who knew it was supposed to be messaged, and those who were supposed to message it and it simply didn’t happen.
As game director this is ultimately my fault first and foremost, and I’m sorry for those who potentially lost some karma as a result. It is our policy to message these kind of changes ahead of time with lots of warning, I’ll do everything possible to make sure this doesn’t happen in the future.
I’d recommend not using your karma consumables yet, give us a day or two to try and see what options we have available to help mitigate the issue.

The Queen’s Gauntlet is that thing upstairs, I think that’s what the update notes are referring to. That change was likely made in light of Deadeye farming and such. Killing the bosses around the rest of the pavilion is just like killing any other champion. That’s why they drop stuff in the first place, they’re champion mobs.

Any idea how to farm him as a ranger? I go full zerker, but I can’t do anything but 1 gambit (hamstring) or I die instantly. GS/LB atm
I would stick to the charr in tier two if you are set on farming with your ranger. You will be making alot more money per hour this way.
