I have hard time to think how it would since it would be optional to select and use the title or not. Secondly it would give some idea of the experience level of the player in the way that you do not need to question if he/she has some siege mastery or knows the basics how siege golems work.
The current system is that we know the ranks of our enemies in wvw as we see them, but we don’t have an idea how high rank our guildies or fellow players on the same side are. I would also rather hang in LA showing my wvw rank than any of the pve “achievement” titles since I’m focused on that part of the game.
+1 for visible www,pvp ranks , why they arent placed around around char picture ? or even there should be option to show it in party bar . But lets forget about it ,game which was supposed to be pvp one is afraid of what pve farmer will say .
Worldbosses? I thought they were removed from the game and replaced with a farming factory. Since the megaserver worldbosses aren’t any fun anymore, it’s just 50 people spamming the same spot with no. 1 attacks for 5 minutes and watching a healthbar slowly disappear. With the smaller bosses you don’t even see what you’re shooting at anymore. The worldbosses have just become giant piñatas for loot farmers.
I hate how they’re made to appear in a set order. Make them appear at random so that people can’t make a system out of farming them. Maybe that’ll make them actually play the game instead of just systematically teleport from one piñata to the next.

We really need party leader system , in many games leader exists and nobody cries about it . I am really sick of it when I create lfg, i check gear of every member and when we are 3/5 two random idiots join who things "full speedrun party I will join , they want 2 eles but probably they wont notice that they have condi engi instead " and what ?! they open dung and even kick me becasue I told them to switch to ele or leave . It is MY party , MY lfg , MY dung , dont like it ? create your own with only necros or whatever you want but it is my party and it will be done how I say .
I can understand why Duke is upset , right now he is protected becasue he starts dung but after this change probably every party even 2k ap heros will kick him because they know bearbow ranger is crap . Maybe Anet should enlarge lfg bar so everyone will see full description and before joining you will see that description in separate window and you will have to confirm that you read it and you still want to join it . I have seen so many exped full zerkers who cant kill spider queen in ac becasue after 10 sec queen still has 75% of hp.
pure healer in game where entire pve is based on pure dps , it wont work .www,pvp yes but on pve it would be suicide .
but i think if you read my solution on my first post you will c i did suggest a change for the opener leaving, so obviously i do see a problem with that, as for kicking the opener? the only problem i see with that is the opener can be kicked at all, in gw1 i had total control of any party i created no questions asked no exceptions, thats the way it should b here.
In GW1 if you formed a party you can kick someone at any time and nobody else would leave the party just because you kicked them. Did you even play GW1? Lol if the party leader leaves a mission or explorable zone, nobody else is kicked from anything.

I can understand why he wants party leader because it is just annoying when I start my speedrun group,it fills with casual idiots and I cant kick them becasue "easy man it is just a game " and then I feel that I have wasted time doing this party but on the other hand I am also tired of all "EXPED ZERKER group from arah where opener starts lfg beeing inside because he sucks and he would be kicked during first boss . I think we need party leader who can kick,inv etc but 4 votes should force him to take over leadership . come on when entire party doesnt want you there must be something wrong with you . if i start the party then it should be up to me who stays and who goes, il admit if i want to LEAVE the party then they should get their own instance but if i get kicked then yes the dungeon should close.
Sounds like you can’t decide what you want. You’re okay with leaving your dungeon-mates to fend for themselves in a dungeon, but don’t want them to continue playing if you’re kicked. Don’t forget that it takes only two people to kick someone; that leaves two others who may not really get a say in this. This update is for those two others who may not have wanted you kicked, but got kicked anyways.
Sure, there are plenty of griefers in PUG runs, but I’m not okay with being kicked from a dungeon simply because the owner D/C’ed or abandoned his teammates.
i know exactly what i want, i never leave anyway and its TOO EASY to get kicked in the elitist dungeon community, this update will just isolate even more people from dungeons and give thos pugs more power that htey dont deserve, this is a far bigger problem than the opener leaving as we would assume the person who put hte effort in to form a party would be the most dedicated
You seem to be forgetting that not everyone who runs dungeons are elitist speed-runners dedicated to, well… dungeons. I may not run dungeons regularly, but I do enjoy teaming up with guildmates and friends to clear some paths. It’s tedious to have to restart an instance simply because the dungeon owner “left” for one reason or another.
Besides, the dungeon owner is ONLY the person who initiates the dungeon run. They do not have to do a thing to recruit party members, even if many do. They could be the least dedicated person in the party, but if they start the dungeon, they have all the power. Not cool.
This update definitely takes things in the right direction, allowing players to keep their progress if the dungeon owner leaves/DC’s/gets kicked/whatever.
starting the party is more work and requires more time than any1 else and starting the dungeon means that you can’t leave while every1 else mills around in lions arch or even does a boss while they wait for the party to fill, so it is a bigger commitment and does take dedication, if you need proof of that just look how fast the 5th person always shows up in a fractal at 4 in the morning, the 2nd person takes 30 minutes sometimes but the 5th person is always there seconds after the party hits 4 ppl, why? because they DONT WANT TO MAKE THE COMMITMENT OF WAITING IN A PARTY!!!!
i can accept that the owner of D/cing should not close the dungeon, but we can do that WITHOUT changing the system simply by making the dungeon last aslong as the original owner isnt kicked, nobody deserves to hijack my party, not if they think im bad, not if they dont like me, not if they think im slow because it is MY party and it is based exclusivley off of MY standards. if they dont like it they can make THEIR party and base it off of THEIR standards.
so much dedication , iam looking for party members and somebody only join my party and run through portal to open dung , such a hard work . We need party leader who can kick , inv etc not dung opener who becomes god doing nothing . party leader should be changed after 10 mins of beeing offline then next person get it and party keep going . I think that we just need party leader and if party leader goes offline , lead is taken over after 5 min , becasue I dont get it when i create MY lfg with MY description I open MY dungeon why i have to suffer becasue people cant read/dont ping gear or they are just iditos . I think matchmaking is based on rating because ranks doesnt count (90% of pvpers are 80)
just decrease eotm wxp for 70% and it will be fair , I think visible ranks are cool , you can finally target somebody and see pvp rank80(maybe unlimited ranks like www) www rank1400 and you know that this guy is experienced player . I noticed that most players who are whining about ap,ranks etc are low lvl guys who think that they are gona be discriminated cause of their low rank . After 1500 hours of cmding I dont care anymore , they dont like my leading , i tag down , we switch ts to guild one and keep leading guild raid without tag .

maybe give boss(and maybe players) stability after every stun,push etc so when you stun boss he gets stability for 10 sec and you have to remove it before you cc it again .

Glad you can talk for everyone. Do you know that Guild Wars 1 players were completely against ascended gear (for the most part). Many left this game when ascended gear was released.
Pretty sure the reason(s) GW vets left the game en masse were other than a layer of gear grind. It might have been the last straw for some, but surely not the sole reason.
I know people who loved this game except for that layer of gear grind and yes, left solely because they felt betrayed. One of them use to run a fan forum. That was simply a deal breaker for him. I think you underestimate the sense of betrayal that caused.
LOL quiting the game because there is armor for high level fractals , just LOL there is no difference between ascended/exotic on pve,www . Much bigger difference is in jewelery or even weapons so why they didnt leave in the begining of fractals and agony ?

All NCSoft needs to do is take some of the design team from Wildstar (the people that design the dungeon and raid encounters — NOT the rest of the game) and sit them on ArenaNet for 6 months to teach them how to design challenging, unique PvE encounters. I am sure they will figure out how to make it work within the existing constructs of the GW2 game and vision.
I want the polish and aesthetics of GW2 but with some well-designed and challenging PvE small-group content.
No no no. issue is not that the guys at anet don’t know how to make them challenging counter.
Let me explain:
Any of the current dungeons would be working amazing and be mega fun with a trinity ( as fun as the trinity is also I am not asking for the trinity ) and also hard. It not complicated to balance stuff around that you know what to expect. Issue how ever is instead of one or 2-3 guys dealing damage you have 5. Instead of 1 person taking care that no one dies to the random AoE ( which is a lot if you ever played the dungeons how they are intended you’d notice they are quite hard hitting and require good movement and use of dodge to be avoided ) all can keep themselves topped of with no problem. Add to that the AoE’kitten through walls and certain skills have a hit limit also on boss ( most basic attack of them only hit 3) as non of the dungeon bosses has a phase kitten of a prevention to just burst them full on down. It is the most safe and effective to just go full dps. That’s to what the game lens due to the everyone takes care of themselves mentality. Add stuff like Protection ( 33% dmg increase no matter what your armor is ) , Might ( up to +875 power and condition so you will hard no matter what you do as long as you do damage ) and vulnerability ( up to +25% damage) and you’ll end up a system that was designed with the idea in mind that people can’t dish out all there damage so if they do it horribly breaks. There is no hard cap as far as I am aware so There is no need to spread out or approach it tactically more power = more damage as long as you keep hitting. As long as that doesn’t get addressed addressing stacking is impossible.
It can be challenging but all we need is fixing zerker+corner meta maybe then full berzerk party wont be the most effective because they will wipe so many times that people would preffer to take tank+healer to dont wipe so many times . Everyone will be happy becasue with every party setup dung will be doable but only parties which cooperate will be efficient . But let be serious they cant fix fgs for over a year or longer and fixing it is easy as hell (fgs#4 only targetable like mesmer skills DONE)
Why in earth would you ask for 2 warriors?
2 eles for bows + fgs and 2 warriors for easy dps ,playing warrior is easy mode just facerolling keyboard , they dont melt so easly and have many good party skills (baner+on my mark+fear me etc) and i am guard , stability+reflection+buffs . Almost every boss dies in 5 sec .
I must agree with OP.It just seems like game develops too slow.I like LS and i prefer it lot more then expansion but feature patches need to make end game better.First feature patch fixed account stuff.Second patch will fix PvP it seems but still there is nothing that add on end game.Most wanted features are still not even close to release ( duels,guild wars,guild halls etc..).I love Gw2 but last month or 2 i play it just like Skyrim….when LS is released i play it for few hours and wait 2 weeks after,thats how i play Skyrim when i add new player made mode and burn its content fast.
Anet needs to add those features that people want,need to focus on that as well as to add end game content like new dungeons,new things to do in Tyria,to give us reason to replay back all those events that we done wile leveling.Rewords need to change as well cause most players already are happy enough with skins they have and they dont need new skins at all.
excatly I have the same opinion that first they should rebuild base of game +endgame content to give us reason to play everyday .right now I always speedrun through daily and then turn it off becasue there is nothing to do , leading pugs on www became boring and no updates only make it worse , playing pvp without full party is horrible , many players cant play and only whine that they were killed and lets dont forget about horrible balance (about pve i dont wanna talk because it is really bad in my opinion )
I do 7 paths(or more) for gold everyday and always create lfg like" READ FIRST full speedrun need 2 ele+2 warriors (gear check)" and almost always I have 1 friend or 2 so we kick everyone who refuses to ping gear , we preffer to wait 5 minutes more for party then wasting over 1 hour on one ac path . But lets be serious pve difficulty level is really low but cheer up anet promised you that there wont be holy-trinity so they gave you holy-zerkers

there shouldn`t be option to just leave the game we already have enough 4vs5 games . Just block people and keep playing .
First there should be option to untag some idiots specialy for www(but also pve voting to tag down and this person cant tag for next 10 min ) and reduce number of tags running on single map . Lets say they add 4 colors+different guild tags(visable only to guild mates+cmds taged up on border). And if there is blue cmd you cant tag as blue cmd . Lets be serious I have never seen event which requires more then 4 tags so even if they give us 5 it will be fine . PVE cmds are best one LOL it looks like map full of brainless farmers.

People seem to be conveniently ignoring all the PvP focus that this game has gotten. They make it sound like PvP is some ignored aspect of the game that is finally getting attention… Lets put some perspective on this…

*ALL armors were obtainable in PvP, MUCH easier than in PvE up until 4 months ago when Anet removed that ability. Another example of Anet’s backwards priorities. They actively removed the content and ability to do this. However the majority of PvP players have already unlocked most of the PvE armor skins using that system.This whole idea that PvP is some ignored feature of the game that is finally getting some love is absurd. PvE players would LOVE to have some balance and maps added, but all those resources go directly to PvP.

I am the one in the camp that believes standard models are the wrong approach to foster better, more sustainable competitive PvP.
Competitive PvP players like to look unique as much as your standard PvE player. But to be honest they are more aware of the surroundings.
What is needed, from my point of view, is enemy cast bars, and target of target support. That will help the game mode more than making everyone look the same ever will.
oh yes better enemy bar so you will see all pasive skills,effects and casts . I hope one day on all gametypes we will se enemy health,armor etc not only bar which is full or empty even stupid % on health bar .
Agreed, but I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see downed state removed from PvP…. there is absolutely no reason such a system should be in a competitive game….
I beat you, fair and square in a 1v1 and downed you, thats it, I won the duel.
Now in this game, some kid gap closing on me while I was stomping and stuns me because I used my stability during the actual duel with the guy I just downed… Now I’m freaking dead… That’s utter nonsense and totally a reason as to why a lot of MMORPG PvPers stay away from GW2 PvP…. get rid of downed state and I have a feeling there would be a huge surge of Pvp players…Imo downed state is one of the things that makes GW2 pvp interesting.
It opens the fights for a lot of nice plays and turn arounds in the actual teamfight.I have to agree with the response. It adds another layer to the game that most other games don’t have. It’s the most fun to play when you can get back up and turn things around when it looked as if you were dead. It promotes great team work too.
it is great mechanic but needs a balance some classes have too op skill#2 and for example ressing is too fast

It would help to cooperate and let other people see that you just use wall of reflection or healing field and it is good to stick around your for few seconds .
Dung armors were pve unique for almost 1,5 year . Bilions skins like dry tops masks,backs,gloves everything and they add 1 armor which cant be reached spaming 1111 on world bosses , thats the only way to seprate noobs from good people if there is some unique hardcore content it should has special reward, you cant get this ? wipe your tears and go on , you can always try to get this . www should be the most profitable game type because you have to spend time,effort,money and reward isnt guaranteed . If you cant understand it that some players who are better in something then you have better reward , go ask your parents maybe they will explain you that but stop whining on forum that cruel devs cheated you and you cant get something .

I created thread about voice communication yeasterday and people said that they dont need this (spaming 1111 on world bosses rly dont need it but www,pvp or fractals does and pug group can obtain much good from it ).
But what is the problem to talk with teamspeak group and let them created plugin to gw2 , it would work Anet only has to give us voice servers and they saved a lot of server space from megaserver .
More languages =no more 2 week content or maybe you have and idea how to do that ?
2 years of pure pve development it was fine for pvers , 1 update for pvp . Whining,rolling on the floor with tears in eyes it is just pathetic . YES you wont be able to obtain every armor for just standing on world boss spaming 111111 it is so sad . Anet pls give pvpers options to show off :unique armor,visible ranks outside pvp(www).
One of the best changes to GW2 yet. I don’t really care what my opponents look like, or how they perceive me, but I completely understand the problem with prestigious armor and standardized models.
Being able to choose individually what races should use standard-models would imo the the ideal solution. Because tbh at the moment there is only one problem, and that is Asuras.
If that won’t happen I’m still happy with this change.
Iam still for it but anyway I think that they should give us option to choose race etc. right now it is all or nothing it sucks a bit and dont forget that it is gona be only in team arena . why no solo or hotjoin why ? They have system but dont implement it ,just why ?
Something like voice chat in DC universe , you can switch between written chats but also between voice chats . It would help with cooperation and it would be huge impact on www . No more asking pls enter ts to listen . Every player will have auto push-to-talk, only cmds will have ability to talk without button . I think every aspect of the game will benefit from it , even eotm .
