Yeah, unless BG and TC log off entirely for the next 24 hours, it’s not even remotely possible.

We’ve had good fights with BG, given equal numbers. It’s a shame that we’re kind of stuck in this stepping stone position for servers that severely out-pop us on their way to Tier 2. Hopefully, next week with CD and SoS is a little more competitive.

Quick comment regarding those talking about TC doesn’t try for Stonemist…

Back in the beginning of the match I suggested taking and holding SM (We had blown several holes in the outer walls already). When I asked why we don’t hold it, I got two answers.

1: It gets all the attention on us and we end up facing 2-on-1.
2: Stonemist changes hands so often it’s not really worth it.

Now admittedly SM is only 25 points, but still, if you can hold it for an amount of time it would certainly help. I find those to be silly reasons personally, but if a lot of people think that…

It all depends on our opponents. 2 Match-ups ago, we (TC) held SM the entire week. These last 2 weeks, it certainly would have proved a futile use of resources for us to attempt to hold SM for any amount of time. Though we did wrangle it away briefly Friday and Saturday nights.

Some amazing battles last night! Zudoari and Pride did great with an overly green EB map

TV (Transcendent Veneration) – We don’t classify ourselves as an exclusively WvW guild but we have a strong and large presence in EB (20-30 in EB every day so far in this match-up though we had many more in Queue and online – 85ish). We have Commanders Zudoari, Pride and Sarangerel. We also have Giddge working on his. I know we’re not mentioned much when people talk about WvW guilds and that’s fine. We tend to be a bit low-key.

We have some fantastic commanders on TC and we love a good fight. This week is going to drag on, but we’re still kicking up a fight and that’s what matters. We’re not going to push out on the whole of the EB map; we just don’t have the numbers. While we were there, though, we did a good job of holding what was ours.

Looking forward to seeing how we do during the week now.

We’d love to get more people interested in PvE/Dungeons and s/TPvP

As a leader, I’m learning to be understanding of the concept of representing multiple guilds. I want my members to feel as though they can do that, if they so choose. But at the same time, we have very limited guild management tools. As a larger guild (400+ members), it can get hairy at times managing the roster. Actually, lets be completely honest here, I can’t manage my roster. I don’t know when the last time anyone logged on their account. I don’t know when the last time that account represented my guild.

Again, I want people to have the opportunity to be in another guild and we don’t make restrictions against that (unless we promote someone to officer). But I would LOVE LOVE LOVE some actual guild management tools hint hint

Xpiher, not really working out so far. BG was just assulting QL, Brav and VK. They’re fielding more than both teams combined at 10 AM Pacific. They’ve got the coverage that neither server has. We (TC) has been taking towers and camps and leaving them open for FA to walk in and try to get a foothold and they’re just not able to do it. We’ve seen probably 10 total FA in EB this morning and BG zergs of 30-50 … when we’ve seen them (invis is still here, yay!).

TC isn’t going anywhere. We’ll perform at the same level we always do, no matter what. But it’s going to be a long week. Might as well just settle in and stock up on the jelly.

We’re all about the WvWvW. We have 3, almost 4, commanders that keep us busy on the battlefields. Lots of members to keep things interesting in PvE as well. Leaders are older, late-20s to late-30s, and online every day. Active and involved.

There is plenty of space in the area to allow them to come out of their safety zone to fight you. If they’re coming out and able to kill your siege and run back unscathed, then clearly your siege is set up too close to that zone.

The safety zone in this area is set up so that when a team is pushed back to their spawn they have an alternate route to get out and make a stand. If you’re setting up siege between this zone/hill edge and the supply camp pictured, then clearly, you’re the one griefing here and upset that you’re not able to harass them as freely as you’d like to.

A similar thread was already locked today. I have a feeling this one is headed the same way.

There; solved. No need to involve Anet.

Problem is solved if you back off out of range. People need to learn that there is the buff. If the zerg backs off and holds out of the range of the players inside, with the buff, they’re forced to come out and fight without it.

Removing it allows for the opportunity for the enemy to get to the spawning area. That should never be allowed.

Stop asking for stupidity barriers to be lowered and instead ask players to raise the bar of thinking and tactics.

This post by Bluebizzer is why Transcendent Veneration chose TC. The community that we came here expecting has more than exceeded the level of sportsmanship and camaraderie we could have hoped for. Yes, there are differences of opinion and mistakes are made on the battlefield. But we pick up and start again and push back every single time we’re out on those grounds.

I also agree with the OP. When you look at the battle as more of an experience to be had than a contest to be won, you’re never going to be on the losing end. I think that there’s a lot to be said about a community that feels as strongly as we do on TC that it’s not just about winning. We’re here for epic battles and no matter what that score board says, we’re having them. Every night.

Armo, that would result in teams giving up prematurely to fight for second against a single opponent instead of 2. That’s not a solution either.

It’s not just friendlies and enemies invisible either it seems. We were assaulting Mendon’s yesterday and a guild member was using an invisible siege weapon. The only siege weapon on the screen for our members in Vent and in the area was already being operated. However, there were 3 other people in a line with the gear icon above their heads.

Stuff is definitely messed up since the update …

Most large guilds that are server hopping, aren’t going to be able to continue to do so once transfers are no longer free. Yes, some of their roster will cough up the gems to do so. But in a guild of 300+ with 80-100 actives they’ll be lucky if a quarter to one-third of their actives would be willing to hop at the rates that some guilds have been doing it.

Implementing the cost that has been discussed prior to release will slow down the rate of transfers, the fast vacuums that large guilds create on the servers they leave and will lead to more guilds working to better their servers instead of just jumping ship.

WvWvW, as discussed frequently prior to release, was meant as a way to instill pride in your home world. At this point, it’s not happening on the large scale that would be preferable. Right now, the going gets tough for a server, guilds ship out to a winning one. Week after week.

We’re still looking for more great players! We have about 60 roster slots available for active people.

I agree with Twinbros. We held onto our lead Sunday night despite SoS being Oceanic and having a holiday. We do have a night presence, and I’m sure they feel they could use a little more help during those hours. But I like where our server is as far as our performance in match-ups. We’re not going to win them all. And certainly not, if we’re unwilling to stoop to the levels that some servers do. I’m fine with having some integrity. And quite proud that our server has it in bushels!

Working as intended. Guilds have a “home world;” anything earned toward the guilds advancement belongs there. If you change servers and “move” the guild with you, you have to start over.
