The bull racing has been disabled for many months now (if it has ever actually worked? i don’t know only found it some months ago)

Why is this disabled content and when will it be working again? I’m bored of betting on moas…

Deposit Tokens (pvp, pve)

why can’t we deposit tokens from dungeons and pvp? the button says deposit, but is greyed out, as if it was a last minute change of decision pre launch.

I would love to regularly grind more dungeons instead of just focusing on one until I have enough tokens to spend on what i want then move on to the next, as keeping several sets of all token types really wastes bag/bank space.

it would really help players to be able to deposit of pvp/pve tokens.

Unlike most other forums on the net, you don’t seem to be able (unless I’m blind) to see when somebody has replied to your post or not from the /showposts/ list (the page where it shows your posts).

I know you can see this from the main forum list of every single topic, as it goes from black to grey title, but it would be nice to also have this in our own posts list, as finding a specific topic you posted on in a sea of threads just to see if it’s been replied to or not isn’t pleasant.

Please add functionality so we can see which posts have been replied to or not.

I have total sympathy for arena net trying to balance this game with all its dynamic events and scaling, it’s not an easy job!

culling is a serious issue to gamers now that we know when events will happen there are more people crowded into smaller areas, this bug/feature has been reported many times and I’m sure anet are looking into possible solutions (they have to, otherwise people will stop playing, if there is no chance of winning due to bad design)

it’s good that players provide feedback so they can see the impact/frustration it has to the gamers, but have faith that they will look into this, even if they don’t reply to every single thread posted.

I don’t believe thread bumping is permitted in these forums, as per the t&c but i could be wrong.

However, about this point, just think about what you are asking,
1.) if attack’s don’t bounce from clones, people will complain it’s too easy to spot the non clones (players)
or
2.) if they do bounce the attackers will complain it’s not hitting players.

it’s a no-win situation however you look at it, however, there is only one solution I can see which is fair to everybody.

Add additional bounce targets if it hits a mesmers clone (which it should, for equality).

there are other creatures in events (like some temples) where the bosses hit for the same or more damage in a single attack, and unfortunately unless you can predict the event coming there is little you can do about it.

thankfully most attacks just leave you in the downed state so you can be revived.

the best advice I can give is just try it again, sometimes if on the first win I don’t get the daily, i do it again and then it works, not always but sometimes, it’s better than accepting defeat!
or just do the other daily achievements, you don’t need to do every daily achievement listed to get the daily achievement completed.

Trading Post Armor Type Filter

these are great suggestions, but we must remember not to expect too many options all at once, as you all know anet have designed GW2 to be very user friendly (simple user interface) for new players coming to GW2 and for general ease of use for persistent players, we want functionality without complexity.

Castekin asked to search by specific stat type, in this post linked below, hurlockbr kindly explains the naming convention for items, which you can use to search for a specific stat type. (your example is “Soldier’s” armor, search this in the TP).

it does not block progress because it’s only a visual bug, as they said the damage is still counting, it’s just that you can’t see it.

as for other bugs, simply put, some bugs are easier to fix than others.

We don’t know the full impact each bug has on the game and how much work is involved in fixing it, so it’s sometimes difficult to understand why some bugs are fixed before others, even though they seem less significant.

Keep providing feedback so they can gauge the impact/frustration this to the users but also have faith that arena net know what they are doing, they have had a lot of experience

it could be a specific sound effect is trying to load but did not install/download properly, causing the sound to cut out.

you may want to try deleting and re-installing the game.

the problem I mention is items with the same name but different stats and runes (where applicable). most of these are basic (white) items, but there are many fine, masterwork, rare and possibly even exotic with this issue.

be thankful that the queen is actually spawning on your server, some servers (like mine) it bugs a lot and is not possible to complete the pre event.

but it sounds like (pun intended) it’s related to the issue people have with sound lagging, which is caused by culling, purposely programmed to reduce loading times and increase FPS.

sadly, I don’t see a possible solution to this until they fix the culling issues.

I guess the only way to confirm is if you are fighting the queen with very few other players around and see if it still happens or not.

this bug has existed since the launch of the crab toss game, it happens on and off as far as I have noticed, from previous forum posts I can conclude that arena net are fully aware of this bug and I’m sure are working to resolve it asap.

there are tons of bugs in arah story, none of which stop progression but cause delays in doing so,
mostly (for example) if/when people die between changing ships, or are defeated while on the old ship (dead on the floor) the ship will despawn and you will be falling for a long time until eventually dying mid flight.

also, it would be great if they allowed at least 5 seconds to loot that fire boss down below before being automatically boarded onto the ship again…

I can only speak from past experience working in other similar industries, but usually priorities vary depending on the impact to the majority user base.

ie, bugs that block progress.

to ask “when will a bug be fixed” it’s like asking how long is a piece of string.
the answer has so many unpredictable variables it’s impossible to calculate, and anet don’t want to give a time only to disappoint the users when that deadline is not met due to unforeseen events in the future.

I’m on desolation, it happens on and off between patches, or at least that’s the pattern I see, currently it’s working again now, not sure what causes it, but i talked to some ppl on my server in the zone when it happens, they say it happens to them also, so its not me my client.

I guess it must be to do with what caittus said, with the undead killing it and it respawning, perhaps the programmers can adjust how far the undead move into the base to stop this happening or something, or fix the issue when it respawns to become unresponsive again, this might also be the cause for all other reported non responsive trading post npc’s that people have mentioned.

you cannot interact with the black lion trader in firebreak fort (in mount maelstrom), its a bug that has been happening on and off these last few patches, but its been broken now for quite some time, please fix this npc.

Duplicate Item Names (not duplicates)

Not sure about the rest of you but it bugs me a bit to see so many items (armor/weapons mostly) with the same rarity, level and name as another item but have completely different stats, or in some cases have exactly the SAME stats, but for some reason are classed as a different item, even though the two items are identical.

obviously this is an issue with how anet have categorized the items on the database, but surely it’s in their best interests (to reduce server load on the TP browsing) to consolidate all these duplicate items, or at least have differently named items if they are not the same, so peoples searches are more refined and easier for them to use.

I dunno, maybe its just me, but I’ve never seen a game where there are duplicate item names quite in this manner before.

I can imagine it’s a lengthy task for anet to “fix” this, but it shouldn’t have happened in the first place….

For the “my transactions” tab of the trading post, I think having a button to clear old transactions would be fantastically useful addition to the trading post ui.

Just a simple button saying “clear” in each transaction history list (sold, buying, bought) would suffice, to clear your history so that next time you open the transactions list you will only see what is new.

or at the very least you (anet) can do is get the time right on when an item is sold.. it’s not “seconds ago” when it was almost an hour ago, is it? :/

either of these options (fixing the obvious bug, or going with the new suggestion) would help players a lot I think.

also it might help lighten the bandwidth load on your servers if it doesn’t need to load so much history every time the transaction tab is opened, everyone’s a winner!?

press O.. click my transactions.. change dropdown menu to anything else.. what’s that? it doesn’t do anything and just times out saying no results? what.. it doens’t? it’s just me? surely not..

you have to wait about 5-10 seconds every time you press “my transactions” before changing the menu to anyting (sold, buying, whatever) before it will actually work.

if you click it too quickly, you will get no results. (bug, obviously).

please fix this its quite annoying,

in an attempt to push the trading post in a more positive and useful direction, I suggest the following.

I suggest, like the gems and laurels, just have gold per account and not per character, so players can see a true amount of gold they have in their account at all times.

Get rid of gold per character and just have gold per account, after all it’s in the same account, why have it per character so you have to keep going to the bank (or using trading post trickery) to exchange money between characters? it makes absolutely no sense to me, unless somebody can explain this please?

What does the community think, would you like to see overall gold amount and spend it accordingly across all characters, or do you like having to keep going to the bank to move money in/out between characters?

(and yes I know if you don’t use alts at all this suggestion won’t mean anything to you)

as the title says, why not allow us to CLICK the titles to sort our “my transactions” tab, so that it’s easier to find things ? (like, arrange alphabetically by clicking name, for example?)

won’t this make more sense than forcing ONLY to be sorted by “posted”, which is completely broken cos it alwyas says “seconds ago” or “about 2 hours ago” etc, so its not exactly easy to find when something happened.

maybe I’m expecting too much from the trading post.. who knows, but the simple ability to arrange my transactions should be a simple enough request to grant I’m sure. (its just a gui option, after all)

what do other people think, would you find this useful?

maybe anet could introduce a daily WVW achievement which awards a fair amount of badges, so the pve players can do their “daily grind” (like the pvp players have to do for the dungeons) without having to worry about being good enough at pvp to kill players AND be lucky enough to get badges drop, just a thought.

that’s fine if you can acquire them easily through ACTUAL PVP I enjoy pvp, if that’s the case I will try doing more wvw and focus on other easier to obtain things afterwards.
(example, dungeon tokens, 3 paths, each one gives 60 tokens per day = 180 tokens.. hardly as long and arduous as pvp, under 3 days you are done)

but forcing people to do daily pvp jumping puzzles (or attempting to reach them without dying several times and restarting the whole trip) is not at all fun or anything related to pvp, hence my statement about spvp. (spvp is real pvp imo, but since the gear system is different, i understand why they made this decision)

I don’t think people are complaining about doing pvp, but the fact that it is far quicker to obtain the equivalent pve items than it is pvp (precursor excluded), so it’s not exactly fair to all types of players, at least that’s how I see it and understand it.

what bothers me is not the JP, but running all the way up the map to GET to the JP (on borderlands which are not your server home base) only to be killed/zerged and start all over again..

I don’d mind being killed, but is it really fun running.. and running.. and yep, more running.. and running.. doing nothing but running.. reach near it, and possibly die again before you get to the JP..

granted, your home base JP on BL, and EB are easy to get to, but you understand my point for the other BL maps.

also, I don’t see why they don’t allow an alternate means of getting badges for those who don’t like pvp, much like every other item you have many ways of getting it. (farming money, buying, using various token types from different gameplay types etc.)

AND if the badges are supposed to be from pvp, why can’t you get them from SPVP? I actually enjoy spvp, wvw is so boring just running around for ages before combat each time. (even following a commander)

still after many patches, this is still broken. it does nothing. check the video, if u dont believe me I’ll make another video showing exactly the same thing, try it for yourself.

It is a trait that does NOTHING in the open world, zero, zilch, no effect whatsoever.
It ONLY works in the mists.

When will this be fixed? it’s almost a year since launch and still basic abilities and traits of classes do not work.. stop releasing content updates and fix the core basic abilities of the classes please.

i don’t believe re installing the game would make any difference.

this looks more like a latency issue.

does it happen with any other weapon, like greatsword?

try guesting on a low or medium pop server (assuming u are eu), if u are usa i think they are all high pop so maybe not possible, unless you try to log in during unusual hours where there are less people online.

For rangers, if using some weapons like axe, your back item will disappear when using any axe skill.

As this game’s main focus for gear is appearance, I consider this a fairly important thing to fix, because if you like to use axes then having a custom back item is pointless, if you can’t see it.

There are other things you can do which vanish the back item, like /dance for example, though less important still a bit silly how doing anything other than standing still or running makes the back item vanish.

anybody else getting stupidly high lagspikes during crab toss..

anybody else? and sometimes i get ported to pearl islet waypoint after a game finishes.. so i gotta run all the way back -.-

but the lag spikes seriously.. make it unplayable.

with a ranger (or mesmer?) it’s pretty easy to solo anything, as you are essentially 2 players, a decoy for the mob to attack while u sneak past, but for the other classes on some champion guarded skillpoints (not all of them) solo’ing it is not an option.

yes sure, you can ask somebody in /m to pull the mob away while u take the SP, and u do the same for them, but then why have the champion there at all if nobody is planning to kill it? that is my point.

if there were events near the champion so people can see it nearby on the minimap and more likely to zerg to it then fine, or have it reset for after many days have passed of not being killed so that people can still kill it if they want to.

I just fail to see the point in having a champion camping a skill point 100% of the time

sorry but no, not every skillpoint guarded by a champion mob can be “killed around”. the one south of lights waypoint in malchor’s leap the champion mob is standing right on top of it always, and this mob teleports so u can’t even drag him away and slow him down while u quickly run in and get the skillpoint.

It is simply impossible, there is no 2 ways about it.

why design a mechanic in game like this which is impossible to complete? (without a large army of players) it just makes no sense

yes of course you can run suicidally into a base to discover the waypoint and poi, but the skillpoint challenges are out of the question

As there are not many people playing in the lower zones (especially the lower high level zones like Straights of Devastation) please implement something that will allow players to complete exploration of a map.

Maybe a simple map or base reset (or from a spawned group of elite npc’s when a specific amount of time has passed that based has been contested for)
or anything, something, I dynamic and changing world is great fun, but when you are waiting days or weeks to complete a zone because the npc’s are impossible to kill solo or with a small handful of people, this is not so fun.

Or add some more rewarding (to level 80 players) some dynamic events in these areas which are contested to allow the people on alts still wanting to complete a zone a chance to do so.

please fix this very annoying bug.

I just had to completely restart “temple of the forgotten god” because i pushed the mob into the wall and the npc “tanked” it there.. and she does almost no damage at all and i couldn’t target the mob.

this has happened in other quests also, its quite frustrating and never used to happen (many months ago I played) it must have come with some new content updates or patches somehow.

please fix it.

This was a bug which happened shortly after launch, then was quickly fixed with another patch, and once again it seems to be broken with the latest update.

Mouse over a tooltip and press print screen and you will notice there is no tooltip in the screenshot.

It is quite annoying for me mostly because I like to gauge how powerful my attacks are with an elite transforming ability at certain levels, or to bookmark certain items for later acquisition.

Or is this just me experiencing this due to my choice of graphics card/drivers with this current update?

In PVE, why don’t pets attack ground targets?

It takes much longer to destroy ground targets (turrents, bulidings, items etc..) you can tell them to attack as many times as you want but they will just sit there doing nothing.
This one turret was shooting my shark to death but he just stood there doing nothing while I slowly killed it.

I chose ranger because I assumed it’s not an entirely broken class (seeing as launch was a long time ago) but things like this make me think otherwise. I chose a pet class cos I wanna use my pets… why arena net not allow us to use pets?

I’m starting to see a trend forming with rangers where pets are (due to all the bugs and funky AI mechanics) actually a bad way to go as far as trying to use them to help you kill things…

Pet Bug(?) List So Far:
—> No risen attacking them
—> No ability to attack ground targets

I’ll keep playing and see what else doesn’t work with pets but should..
