Something I want to add since I think Roy may actually read it here is that displace is an awful skill in pvp, whenever I get displaced I wonder if I’m lagging, it is very jarring and not well implemented at all, for a game with such a great combat system that plays so smoothly this skill is the one thing that is ruining it, if I wanted to play a game and feel like im rubber banding all over the place I would connect via a vintage 56k modem… this is how it feels…

I think glint and jalis will be a great combo, however I think right now there is not really a good power dps build partner for shiro and shiro also lacks a logical ranged weapon, I’m sorry but using hammer as a ranged weapon for shiro is just wrong in my mind, maybe I’m to roleplay, but it needs something more assassin like shortbow.

Where is the option to decline this service? all I get is constant “Remind me later” or " accept" options…

I want a legendary shortbow that fires pheonix’s (like the ones that fly out when you use the molten gathering tool)

If I remember correctly the first time we were able to DEMO Heart of thorns in our homes it was a veteran player invitation only, or in their words was something like “we would like to invite our most loyal players to the upcoming beta event” , I forget the exact wording but it was based on loyalty, anyway, this didn’t go over to well and a lot of veteran players who didn’t get invited got annoyed. So the point I’m trying to make here is that they already tried the invite veteran players approach.
Since that wasn’t received to greatly they then offered invites based on luck and grinding for the heart of magumma portal, people also complained for various reasons about that, and lastly they just went with the easiest approach, let everyone into beta that pre purchases.
So the moral of this story in my mind at least is that arenanet have once again tryed every approach they can think of to find the right one, as they have a history of doing that since release, they try something if it doesn’t work they try something else, they are not affraid to get things wrong in the process.
Finally I just want to say that as a vet with almost 10k hours played and having been in every beta event I don’t think it really matters who gets in or not, as these betas are just glorified demo’s anyway, I don’t believe arenanet are taking much feedback into account with them, they are mostly for marketing purposes and to keep the hype levels up, but that’s just my opinion ofc.

I can’t stand the displace mechanic, when it happens to me I feel like I’m rubberbanding (Lagging), I would like to see that skill changed completely, anything has to be better than it is currently.

Shino is not in [GLAD], and tbh it would surprise me if any [GLAD] member was using hacks since they have been on AG for many years and are well respected, it is far more likely that the Mesmer just perma invis inside the towers and keeps, you know that’s what mesmers do :P

The first mastery line in the Pact commander track that gives the tag should be moved much higher in the tiers, it will be far to easy to get and then be abused, by moving it to a higher tier then that person has at least proven a little bit more that they put some work into it, right now they may as well just hand it to you when you log in.

No thanks, I want to craft a breather, and it makes no logical sense to have it as just a skin, that is not simplifying anything, it would make it more confusing for new players.

No, not ignoring, I promise! I don’t watch chat while the show is live. It’s way too distracting. Mark tries to keep an eye on it from the production desk, and copypastes questions onto the monitor that I can see when he’s able.

So even when chat’s blowing up I will only see it once–if/when Mark has time to feed it to my monitor while producing the show.

As far as the question itself, I had to check on that and it takes extra time with so many people away at gamescom. Something that I mentioned during the show is that there are some questions that we simply can’t answer with certainty yet because developers are still doing work on the Mastery System. We haven’t decided how we’d like instant loot to appear in WvW yet, but we’re looking at lots of ways to make sure this is accessible to players there.

Alright, thx Rubi, I sort of came to the conclusion after not getting a straight answer the first time we asked that auto loot in WvW maybe added into the wvw masteries instead, so I’m going to assume you will make it available that way, it does make sense, because I can imagine the qq of people saying they don’t want to PVE for it, so yeah I see the logic.

Best thing I can suggest to you is work it into your color scheme for your character, that’s what I plan to do anyway, prob easier if you make your charcter all white or all black, that way any color would match it.

When I tuned into todays POI this was the only thing I wanted to know, and despite chat blowing up asking it, we still have not been told. /sadface

Auto-loot should be standard and not tied to a mastery.

Just be happy they are giving it to us. For me this is one of the best things coming in HoT and I’m quite happy to grind some xp to get it unlocked.

I cant say I like the idea of waiting even longer to finally get a manly legendary shortbow (at least I hope it is) but I do like the idea of it having some epic story involved in getting it. I think a lot of people were asking for that the first time around and were disappointed in gaining it through the forge.

I was surprised when I realized the Rime-Rimmed Rebreather was not an actual skin, it should just be made to a skin that unlocks in your wardrobe and can be applied to any other aquabreather.

I wanted to point out if you go to the vault in the new Lion’s Arch (where all the black lion weapon skin merchants are), there is a Boost Enchantment Researcher in there that sells all types of boosters for coins (XP booster, WvW booster, Gathering booster, etc.). These are the very same boosters you can buy in the gem shop, except you can buy them for silver/gold. The merchant also sells that Boost Enchantment Powder as well as letting you convert boosters into other boosters for coins. I think the Black Lion Trader (Armorsmith) does this as well.

Since we can get gem store consumables (boosters) for coins from a merchant of some kind, I think it would be nice to do the same for transmutation charges.

You cannot buy boosters for silver/gold, you CONVERT boosters for silver/gold.

About the transmution charges, as many have said there is a lot of ways to get them already, I go through so many having 16 level 80 and yet I still have loads left, do more spvp and map completes sethy :P

1) Does the Pact commander use a Melon Hammer?
2) Does Auto loot mean I will not have to press F to loot and it just goes straight into my bag? and does this also function in WvW? (I’m praying for a Yes)

I have had my own one man guild since release and tbh I’m not worried about the process of obtaining a guild hall because you can be sure there will be groups of people selling them in LFG, just as dungeon runners sell paths, selling guild halls will become a thing.

Just go farm Dry Top, that’s the whole point of having different currencies for different zones, so that you play that zone…. If you are wanting to complete the amberite weapon set then yeah you are going to have to work for it, the best tip I can give you is just play the last 20 minutes of each hour for the sandstorms, as events during this time give the most geodes.

I’ve wanted this from day one, I played SWTOR before GW2 came out and it had the option to keybind per character, so when I started playing this I was disappointed from the start.

Already in game pretty much, just would need to be activated for spvp.

The whole golem event was a cunning plan to make people go play spvp instead, since that’s the only way to get your pvp fix on atm.

What makes you think they will? Companies rarely admit they made on error in their ways. I don’t expect this company to be any different. It is in. We either go along and play, or sit it out.

Because Arenanet have a history of making mistakes and then admitting it and fixing it, most recently the whole pre purchase extra character slot they gave out after realizing their mistake, or if you look further back there was also the flame kissed armor issue where people blew up the forums demanding refunds and they also admitted that mistake and corrected it, there has been other times too I just cant remember off hand, but 3 or 4 times over last 3 years they have admitted fault and made corrections, so yeah that’s why…

I wonder how long they are going to sit with egg on their face before they put their hands up and admit they made a mistake and stop this event.

Maybe you didn’t notice all the other threads taking this whole thing seriously, but I think its pretty clear to see most people are not finding it fun.

Why don’t you have an internal dev event where you fix the wvw achievements, it wont even take a week.

Call me cynical but I do think there is some underhanded motive behind this whole golem event.

The crazy thing is Josh even suggested that maybe there could be other types of siege events, which is just plain ludicrious imo, sometimes you just gotta shake your head and wonder what they are thinking.

No this was Josh Davies idea, he is a cool guy but he should prob just stick to spvp ideas, he is not a wvwer.

I’m not even sure where my shards are coming from but they still seem to be going up steadily even though I don’t notice them as drops, I got a feeling that they just enter your wallet without being seen sometimes, guess that’s why they called spirit shards, cos you don’t always see them :P
