Guild Wars 2

No I am not talking about dulling terrain or making things look crappier. I’m talking about the ability to turn spell effects off, or even setting them to Party only. When I am doing world bosses, I don’t care to see the other 200+ people’s spells. This makes it kind of frustrating.. especially for newer players.

Please come up with some kind of spell managing system where we the players can adjust to our liking. I guarantee if we can tone down the spell effects, we wouldn’t suffer from 18 fps from most world bosses. (I run a GTX 780 Ti card).

What about when buying loot to salvage for luck?

You know how you get armor and weapons and stuff killing mobs, and doing world bosses, ect ect..

I just thought this suggestion would be a great idea, and it’s very simple.

Make weapons and armor of the same type (exactly the same name & stats) stack with each other up to 250. This would save a TON of space, and would cut down on needing to stop to sell every so often.

I assume later on their will be 3 mining picks to choose from, but I’m not sure what one to get. I know molten one looks cool, but then again the watersomething w/e (too tired to look up the name), gives 20% sprocket something.. Then you got the Bone Pick… which last time I seen the effects reminded me of a different color version of the molten one.

So what one would you guys recommend?

I kinda like having a handful of people as commanders during world bosses.. so you know exactly where the group of peeps are.. helps a lot of noob players that don’t know the game yet.

Always great to see other DAoC players coming to other games. I played DAoC for almost 12 years. So I know what its like to try to find fresh content that is sort of related to DAoC play style. #/character/5JwBsD2PvdU .. Thats me.

My advice for a new player, take advantage of the unlimited harvesting tools (you only need 1 that is currently up). I would go with the Thresher-Sickle 5000 .. it works the fastest (looks the stupidest but cuts the time in half). I assume later on they will have 3 more tools up either for chopping trees, or one for mining ore. These 3 tool types are worth getting as they will save you money from buying more over time. And also are one of best investments you could spend.

Things you probably should try to avoid, are purchasing black lion chest keys, they are not worth the money.. and can easily be farmed by doing your level 10 story quest over and over. You will have to move the key to your bank… delete the character and restart. Always good to have a set of gear if you plan on farming keys. The keys will grant you stuff from the black lion shop.. nothing too major.. xp tokens, magic find tokens.. u know stuff like that.

Also as much as I hate to say it.. avoid the toys n stuff like that. They drain your wallet.. no outfits or suits… just cosmetics.. it doesn’t help you fight better, but hey if you have money to blow on game outfit details n what not.. have at it.

tl;dr – Welcome to Guild Wars 2, make sure you make the right investment on limited time only items in the shop, don’t buy stupid stuff.

I like how the old price was 800 gems, but now they made it 1,000 gems? Seems to be more than $10 per now. Just wish one day you can set exactly how much gems to buy, not be forced to buy 1600 for a 1000 purchase. Yeah I get they need to pay for servers and all that, but at least do it even. $10 for 1k, $20 for 2k, $35 for 4k (discount for buying more). At least that way people don’t over pay for something.

Even if they are, heard you can change that with the ticket npc or whatever.

I just hope these ones they put up aren’t soulbound. Rather not spend 800 gems per character.

I have that exact one already, but was youtubing the others to see what they looked like.

Hopefully this means the other 2 tools as well. I’ve been waiting a few months for the mining pick.

Never worry about breaking or exhausting your harvesting tools again! The Jack-in the-Box Scythe, Thresher-Sickle 5000, and Consortium Harvesting Sickle have all returned for a limited time. Take your pick!

Why would we need 3 tools that all do the same thing? Jack in the box Scythe works on all plants, thresher-sickle 5000 works on all plants, and I’m pretty sure the Consortium Harvesting Sickle does just the same. So why have 3 tools that all do the same thing? Maybe there will be sale on 3 different Logging tools, and 3 different Mining Picks..??

It’s a convenience item. yes it costs the same as master kit, but no you never have to visit the merch again for a a kit or have a kit run out while out exploring.

Not sure how spending $20 to get 1k gems is a convenience. And no it doesn’t cost the same, its charging at least 40 copper more per salvage, did you even go to math class?. At least with the copper fed one.. its 3 copper.. you are saving half a copper per salvage when you compare it to the one it’s equal to. The cost to salvage for the Silver Fed .. should be adjusted to 50-60 copper to be more balanced. I’m sorry but I rather stock up on Master kits vs spending an extra 10 silver.

Although I doubt ANet will read any of this.. they are just out for the money.. so they figured if you spend more salvaging using this thing.. u’ll run out of money faster.. then u’ll have to buy more gems to convert to gold to continue salvaging.

Maybe if this was Gold Fed .. and equal to Black Lion Salvage Kit with 100% .. then maybe 1 silver per salvage would be ideal.. but since its not.. anet fails..

Why is the Silver Fed Salvage-O-Matic going to cost 1 silver, and equal to the master salvage kit (rare), thats 15 silver per 25 salvages. With this thing.. its going to be 25 silver for 25 salvages.. rip off much? Not to mention you have to buy gems to get it in the first place.

I honestly do not thing it is worth the money, If the 1 silver price remains.

Here’s a tip to level up if things come worse. Just do your story quest up to the level 10 one, until you get a Black Loin Chest Key.. once you get that store in in your bank and delete the character you were just on (be sure to save your gear you used to do this with). I recommend getting a full suit of lvl 0 gear, gems upgrades n all.. mostly in power to get the job done faster. The idea here is to farm keys.. to open chests.. which those chests can give Tome of Knowledge .. which grant you 1 full level. I went from 51 to 80 within a few mins lol, but that was a lot of chests.

So I caught the end of it.. i guess the mining pick was first.. then wasp logging tool, then sickle..

So far I’ve seen at least 3-4 things expire, only to be replaced by something else that’s useless. I thought for sure once the Mini Frostbite was gone, something else would take it’s place.. but nope.. it was just removed and nothing put back there.

Been waiting a while for the Mining Pick to go back into cycle.. but so far nothing…

Just standing there in game doing nothing. Tried to change my amulet out for a Different one while standing in the mists.. and it told me I was in combat.

So i logged out and back in.. only to see my game crash at loading screen.

So logging tool was before the sickle.. but now we get discounts on skins instead of the pick?
