As far as Marks to Crests, those really need a spot as there are a ton of those.
Mark (level 20)
Talisman (level 35)
Seal (level 50)
Medallion (level 65)
Crest (level 80)There are 5 of each type. That’s 25 total.
You probably don’t realize it but you just made an excellent case for them to NOT go into storage. That said, I will consider the level 80 Crests since they go into Amalgamated Gemstones, but I have almost zero desire to put all 25 into storage.
What about the different type of Lumber Cores you get from gathering?
Considering Holographic Shattered Dragon Wings is by achievement, and not an item that was for sale or in black lion chests.. I doubt it.
Hasn’t this horse been beat enough?
It’s been asked for even before HoT came out..
The gloves look nice, but idk about that shoulder piece..
I believe we have a fix for this in an upcoming release.
Does this also fix the random invisible icon when salvaging 1 thing?
This happens when it reaches 37 items or higher.
If anything, I am looking for cuts to this list, not adds.
Let’s cut then :p

Why doesn’t this:
No Instant Repair Canisters, Bank Access Express, Trading Post Express, Merchant Express, Revive Orb. Please just use these.
also counts for:
• No “components” has been my go to up til now but you will notice there are a bunch of things here that might be called “component”. The ways I softened but did not eliminate this rule is two fold: 1) allow a second tier of refinement like dowels and patches which are used cross discipline, 2) allow a number of scribing and cooking components that feel very core to the disciple and are used over and over throughout but did not have OTHER components in their ingredients which are also being added to storage (eg no herbed stocks because base stocks go in).
I’d say: if you craft 250 roux’s: use them! Otherwise, don’t even craft them until you want to use them. Same goes for the items you can buy from the MF attendant: don’t buy them (they’re next to the MF anyway) unless you want to buy them. Which is rarely enough, for the majority of people.
I don’t agree to these needing to stay out. Like Damask Patches. Sometimes I need multiple, and I only have enough material to craft one at a time, since it’s timegated, and there it sits in my inventory. Same goes for other Patches or Dowels. Or cooking Baker’s Wet or Dry Ingredients, or even Loafs of Bread. Everyone that cooks knows you make a lot of those, so making some ahead of time saves time later on. Less room this crap takes up the happier I am.
Also like things in Scribing.. “Lump of Glass” which is a component to make other things, so that needs to go in. The only things that should be left out is the final product. Things that can’t be used to craft further.
What I do agree with is that stuff like Bloodstone Shard or Eldritch Scroll, or any expensive items via spirit shards that you are going to use right away don’t need to be on the list.
However I do hope Lumber Cores get put on that list. As they are currently, as soon as I get one I instant sell it on the TP as they have no use for me. It’s more annoying then anything.

I know we can buy storage for bigger stacks. I wish stuff like: Piles of Bloodstone Dust, Dragonite Ore and Empyreal Fragments would get alot more, as its mats we get a lot of
Did you even read the front post?
Keys are being planned for something else to resolve the issue.
Blueprints are not happening because legit players that use them won’t be happy about cleaning their bags when blueprints get shoved in material storage and no way to retrieve them.
These items are already going to be added that you listed:

Reclaimed Metal Plates
Tenebrous Crystals
Philosopher’s Stones

Engi farm was a good lazy way of making some money. However there are things 10 times better in the game to make gold.
It’s not about how much it costs and how long it takes for us to farm, its about if they care about us at all. If they respect for those who supported them and can be fair for them. Paying 500 gems to get ANOTHER carpet toy is just unnecessary or paying 400 just for glider + 250 gems you spent before = 650 gems which is sold for 500 isn’t exactly FAIR you know? It’s about perspective. I’m saying, old users with toys previously should be able to buy the glider for 250 on sale.
You seem to be dismissing any fun you had with it during those years that you had it. That has value too.
And if you didn’t have any fun with it, then why would you even want a glider version of it?
I can’t exactly “SHOW YOU THE WORLD” while I’m on the ground!!!
hell no. I’m not buying the glider version unless there’s a sale for those with toy carpet. Selling both glider and carpet for 500 gem right now (price will change back to normal later I know) and 400 for the glider alone when I clearly bought the toy for 250 gems years back, just seems like neglecting and deceiving old players.
Dude it’s 250 gems. The toy I hardly ever touch. Glider way better. 250 gems takes less an hour to farm
Can you see your back item when using the glider?
Tested that for you. No, you can’t.
Dyable?
Now that we have Magic Carpet Glider. I would love a Riding Broom Glider!
hold down Ctrl-left click cancel to auto confirm.
The “bug” has been in trading post for so long it became a basic feature.
I know I used it many times for cancelling.
I would be happy for a ctrl click to skip confirm, this would definitely suitable.
But imagine how many people accidentally lost an order by misclicking.
If you are even putting your mouse near the cancel button .. how can you misclick .. you either hit cancel, or you stumble upon fast cancel. If you don’t hit the cancel button you bring up the buy/sell window. It’s a pretty big space to avoid the cancel button.
Removing this feature is dumb.
You can no longer quick cancel buy orders by clicking on the right of the cancel under My Transactions.
This used to be there, and there is nothing mentioned in the patch notes about it.
Therefore I believe this is a bug.
Sport Sunglasses. It’s been 3 years.. Come on jesus christ
Was rumored the expansion was only going to be $20 .. but we’ll see when that time comes.
Guys where am i find the Gift of Balthazar ? I can’t find in wiki and in game
Hi Snow,
Since the legendary is made of metal, my guess is its gift will be similar to Shooshadoo and Eureka. Checkout the Gifts for the last 3 legendary weapons:
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Gift_of_Eureka
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Gift_of_Shooshadoo
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Gift_of_DivinityShoosh’s and Eureka’s gifts take 4 things:
1 Gift of Metal
1 Gift of the Mists
100 Mystic Runestone
…And….Then they have their own unique 100 quantity of “x” item (Shards of Friendship or Shard of Endeavor). For the Flames of War, I’m guessing it’ll be 100 Shards of War or something. This unique item is typically made from:
1 Mystic Curio
“x” number of Mithril Ingots
“x” number of Elderwood planks
1 Tribute to"whatever" (for the Flames of War, it’s the Tribute to Lithurgy.)NOTE: You can buy Tributes to Lithurgy from the Ship NPC in Bloodstone Fen. I’m there now and he has them for sale – 10 Unbound Magic each.
I hope the above info helps. You can also try opening a ticket with Customer Service for clarification.
Good Luck!
Your conclusion is wrong. Torches are huntsman weapons so the gift requires a Gift of Wood, not a Gift of Metal.
Have you made it?
Hey guys!
For those of you reporting the crash – we’re looking for some more information to help us with the investigation. (some of this may repeat information you’ve stated already)
- Did you have other players around you in legendary armor when you crashed?
- If so, how many people do you think were nearby?
- What professions were they? (if you know)
- Were you all idling in town, or in combat (or were you using specific skills).
- When you crashed, did you see a crash report window or a small dialog box with a Code=(NUMBERS), or did you hard lock and not get any messages at all (and were sent straight to desktop)?
- Were you playing in full screen or windowed?
- What operating system are you using?
- Are you using the 64 or 32 bit client? (We know some folks override to the old sometimes)
I know this is a LOT of questions, but any of these you can answer for us will greatly help as we see if its legendary armor or another issue causing the crashing.
Thanks!
- Yes someone was wearing the armor around me.
- I’m not sure the total number of people, but it was in the Aerodome at the time.
- I don’t remember the profession, but they did have multiple Phospholuminescent Infusions on with the armor as well.
- I was currently idle, not in combat.
- The client doesn’t fully crash, but it freezes up to where the game client becomes unresponsive until you force close it via Task manager giving no Crash report.
- I was playing in Windowed Fullscreen mode.
- I am running Windows 7 64-Bit Pro
- I was running GW2 64-Bit Client.
Just a side note: There are some people deliberately crashing others. It seems its not related to whats near by, redacted. Not sure if that was in combat or out of combat though, but the people causing the crashes were causing other people in the entire map to freeze up. Watched over 90% of an entire Squad during Octovine crash.
(edited by Vegeta.2563)
So apparently, toggling a piece of legendary armor on and off can cause other’s clients to lock up and freeze..

So, I’v been waiting for the Sport Sunglasses to come back for a while now(3 years). PLEASE BRING BACK THE SPORT SUNGLASSES! I never got the chance to buy them in 2013…
It will complete my Matrix character look with my Krytan Jerkin.
Sport Sunglasses have been gone so long, that the chat link to them doesn’t have a name anymore. Totally forgotten about
I’ve seen a few already, that haven’t streamed or made GW2 content in months (some years). Yet they are still in the Partner program?
Just wondering how often this list of people is gone through, and removed if they don’t do anything GW2 related in an X amount of time?
There is a huge number of the population that cannot even login.
My game is disconnecting every other map that I load into.
kitten Fix This…
Tanetris from RedditI recently picked up a set of Molten tools from the gemstore when they were half off the other month. I’ve been enjoying the lack of running to a merch, and though I do still have a fair pile of Frostbitten Toolboxes, I’m not really worried about the tiny snowflakes enough to care about keeping track of them. To be clear, this has nothing to do with tool-based gathering bonuses.
For those that aren’t aware, since about 2014, plain mining picks that you buy from the merch get an ‘extra swing’ with each interact. When you hit F to interact, the third animated swing is actually two-in-one. For regular 3-swing nodes this is often irrelevant (unless you get an extra gather use from e.g. Power of the Mists), but when it comes to rich nodes (10-swings) it means you only require 3 interacts (4 swings from the first interact, 4 swings from the second, and you finish on the second swing of the third interact) instead of 4 interacts (3 swings, 3 swings, 3 swings, finish on the first swing of the fourth interact).
Apparently molten picks (and I’m guessing likely other gemstore infinite tools) never got this update. Meaning merch tools are objectively better on rich nodes. This seems super-silly particularly considering at this point you’d need hundreds of thousands of uses to break even on cost at these days’ gold-to-gem rates, even when you factor in the convenience (not having to visit merches) and cool (unique animation).
Seems like a bug?
Great Jungle Wurm 3 Pack
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Great_Jungle_Wurm_3_Pack
This.. and SPORT SUNGLASSES!!! It’s been over 3 years!!
Why did you guys disable the freeze rifle thing? It was PvE only and frankly it was a fun little gimmick that wasn’t actually unbalancing anything.
I can understand if you allowed its use in WvW or PvP.
Just wondering honestly what was the driving force for this one since it seems more like a “look our players are having fun, stop them!” kind of move.
It was working with the Reaper trait that gives you bleed every time you chill something. Frost gun has lots of chill. So you could get over 100+ bleeds in a matter of seconds. Pretty sure that’s unbalanced.
heh, half expansion Mike. Yeah this should be interesting :P
Good riddance.
Someone’s salty lol
When you said the 20th was the last day for SAB i thought you meant that either it would go away on the 21st, or I’d at least have till reset on the 20th. I ONLY HAD TO GET 4 MORE GREENS. I WAS GONNA GET AN ASCENDED ORANGE AND YOU’VE ROBBED ME! Why would you cut it before reset? Why?
You must be new. All festival stuff ends at 9 AM PST on the date announced it’s going to end. Not once in the history of GW2 have they ever stopped a Festival at reset time.
how ppl didnot see that the expansion was feature heavy instead of content heavy is beyond me x_x
Now it’s starting to turn over to content heavy since.
Changing this to remain open while your character is in motion would be more ideal. Since the window isn’t bound to an NPC.
I believe you spawn an invisible NPC/object which you interact with. Same thing for the Mystic Forge Conduit. I have never used Tarrktun Personal Delivery Portal, so I don’t know what makes it different.
No actually none of those spawn an invisible NPC, because you would get an error message stating already one active. At the very least they could make this option available for the permanent bank, that way it don’t matter if it people leave it open or not.
Title: Bank Access Express – Remain Open While Moving? (title was too long)
I don’t think this is too much to ask, but since the Tarrktun Personal Delivery Portal was changed to remain open while your character is in motion. I would think changing the Bank Access Express to do the same thing wouldn’t be that big of a deal. It would make it so when using single use items, and you get attacked by a mob that knocks you back and forces the window to close, using up one of your items. Makes it pretty frustrating. Changing this to remain open while your character is in motion would be more ideal. Since the window isn’t bound to an NPC.
Let us double click decorations from our inventory anywhere in game and deposit it into the guild we are representing at the time.
Also more guild slots would be nice !
Guild Slot Expansion. 1 new guild slot, 800 gems.
Make it happen! >_<
Its the community who builds the hype. I do not fault the developers for trying to sell their product..thats silly and honestly unheard of. (Yeah lets not advertise this up so we dont sell a bunch of copies) makes 0 sense.
I think they are divided on how to approach this. On one side you have people saying.. “We want communication, what is going on with the expansion?”
Then the aftermath of once the expansion comes out.. “Hey why didn’t we get this, you said it was going to be in the game?”
So as they work on it, they are planning on announcing things that are actually going to be in the next expansion, instead of making broken promises.
For most, GW2 has never been about leveling, but rather Exploring the game itself. Sure at low to mid level I don’t expect to run into mobs that are too difficult for a new player to master them. Hell if I were new around level 30 and I had to figure out what exact skills to use to beat something, and I spent way more time needed to do it. I would have ended up giving up and stopped playing. The higher level you get the more you have to think about what skills to go with. Sure world bosses are a joke, but those aren’t meant to be a challenge. However you have to look at it like this. When new content is released, for the first month or so.. no one has a clue of what they are doing. After that everyone figures it out and it becomes easy for them.
That’s another thing though. If new players ask for advice on something. I just simply tell them “figure it out” Not to be a kitten or anything, but it’s help them experience the game for themselves, instead of getting their hand held. When I started out I had no clue what I was doing. The Trait system confused me like hell. I didn’t know what any of it did, I had to figure out where to go to unlock my traits. I eventually got it figured out and learned over time. However I do give advice to new players on how to make a little gold quickly so they can progress a bit easier, but I don’t tell them how things work in the game. That’s something they just have to learn on their own. And isn’t that the point of being new in a game? Being a noob starting out is one of the best times you’ll ever have in any game.
I mean sure they could have more challenging mobs, but have to think new players are going to struggle just learning the game. You get up to level 80 maps, you have frostgorge sound, and mob with skills like chill, cripple, things like that. Silverwastes, some of those mobs you have to learn to dodge their attacks, and how to counter them.. so there is that. However once you figure it out.. it isn’t challenging to you anymore. That doesn’t mean the mobs in general aren’t a challenge. It just means you have gotten better at playing.
The Super Cloud Glider had a 24 hr count down timer over 24 hrs ago, so it’s been gone for at least the past 12 hours.
250 gems can be exchanged for around 51-52 gold, so maybe yes.
When Most Runes or Sigils are around 12g max .. you can buy those and replace over the existing ones in the gear, instead of using extractor.
You might need to give some examples. Currently SAB Blue skins are probably close..
Hero-Tron?
Job-o-Tron?
Ya know the gw2 universe “tron”?
I was thinking more along the lines of the Tron movie lol
It’s useful for players who are gold poor but cash rich. Also don’t forget two handed weapons have two upgrades and possibly an infusion slot. The extractor gets all of them at once.
Also if you realize it’s a raw deal that you would never purchase, then why care?
Wouldn’t buying gems and converting to gold then buying the runes or sigils via TP be even cheaper anyway?
I hope this update has some WvW Love.. that game mode is barely holding on.
Please remove Upgrade Extractors, they are a waste of space and money.
Honest to god question…
They are 125 gems each, that’s roughly 35 gold each if converting gold to gems. The only 2 items worth more than that are Superior Sigil of Concentration at 50-57 gold, and Superior Sigil of Karka Slaying ranging from buy orders of 41 gold to lowest listing of 157 gold.
Besides those 2.. there is absolutely no reason to buy the Upgrade Extractor on the Gemstore. It is taking up space and does no good to anyone. Over 99% of the Runes and Sigils on the trading post can be bought for cheaper and can replace the existing one in the item.
These either need to be removed, or the price dropped dramatically to be worth purchasing.
You might need to give some examples. Currently SAB Blue skins are probably close..
Did you happen to hit the salvage all options on a salvage kit before heading to the bank? Unfortunately dyes are salvagable.
Do the dyes show up in the salvage all though? Some items are excluded even being salvageable.
