I think you have it backwards. I care that if everyone and their grandma would have access to these, but I don’t care if people got them from SAB or bought keys to get them.

I bought 25 keys + 1 key rewarded = no super minis = super sad me. Super sad me would love to buy these from some other lucky duck!

It took me about 50 keys to get my first one, then after that they started coming in like hot cakes. Have all 6 (minus assassin which u cant get cuz no continue coin)

Because the mini’s are the highest wanted mini’s currently, and what better, but to account bound them, so that way everyone that wants them needs to buy keys.

Arena Net had april fools planned out way before it happened, so its not like they knew about it, and they didn’t have time to redesign another april fools in time.

Well mine arent. You might want to drag them out of your bank into your bags. IF that doesnt help to remove the account bound, try buying an unbound button from the tp and add them to a stack of 249 of yours that are bound.

Just did this last week on a new toon…..please detail the issue (and if it IS a bug, reporting it here is unlikely to get any action….report in game and in the Bug forum).

Note that the particular challenge does NOT give you any feedback on progress…..you just have to hit targets until it triggers (I’m guessing 5 to 6 direct hits?).

You should try to join on me (via account name) .. and come on to my map.. the cannons wont fire pass the wall at all.. so you can’t really see the cannon balls fly to hit the targets.. everyone on map is complaining about it being bugged.

While the cannon fires.. it does not shoot pass the wall.

Whenever I load my Gw2.exe file it crashes as soon as it loads. I can’t even click login.

Whenever I remove the d3d9.dll file it works just fine. It is only this file causing the problem.

I have tried installing GW2 fresh, along with GemFX on a fresh install.

It’s because you have enabled some feature in GemFX that isn’t supported in Dx9.
Godrays and 2 other – uncheck it and game will load

Ok then explain why it was working before, yet I changed absolutely nothing in my GemFX settings, or even on my GW2 game at all. Even with a fresh install of GemFX it still crashes my game.

Yeah I seen that, but that was related to the client not initializing.

My problem is due to GemFX not even letting the game load at all. Meaning as soon as I load GW2.exe .. it crashes immediately before I can even press login.

The game is crashing for me instantly if I have GemFX in my GW2 folder. I can’t even bring up the login screen its that bad.

Recently, and this just started happening since yesterday.. If I have GemFX in the GW2 folder.. my game won’t even load at all.. it instantly crashes on the part right before I can even login.

Has anyone else experienced this yet?

HA I’m not the only one that got precursor from CoF.. I was on P2, and got Spark from one of the chests

Would be fantastic for other players to copy their character over to test out what could be bugged and what is working right ect ect. At least this way when it does release on live servers there would be that much less for them to “fix”

So far bugs are still being fixed from the new patch.. yet 90% of them could have been avoided if Arena Net had some kind of test server.

“One of the most loyal” does not imply not being chosen means you’re not considered a loyal player, it just means a person who got invited is literally just one of the people considered eligible for an invite. They’re not saying they’re inviting everyone who is “loyal”, just a random few, so it’s only natural there will be people who are left out.

And congratulations to everyone who got invited, I hope you all have fun even if it’s likely there will be bugs and crashes galore (not a dig at ANet, just how early betas usually are).

I was searching for a new weapon to use on my warrior after I hit lvl 39, and I noticed some of the item upgrades already in the weapons do not have stats. I even noticed items like earrings, or rings, or amulets themselves with certain upgrades also were bugged.

I provided a screenshot. I even submitted a bug report, but I can’t screenshot to attach it while mousing over the item to display the bug..

Press Y, switch to invisible then back to Online.

The feature that lets you report bugs in game does not work.

Also my human male warrior is shouting random stuff, and not just in female voice either. My Human male warrior, can also sound like a Charr !

Now the vendors only sell the limited equipments that only the said class can use. I only have one mesmer character that’s in Vigil and now I can’t buy the Vigil Rifle skin anymore because of this change.

This is not intended. This is a bug, and we apologize for the confusion. The team is aware of this issue and will be correcting it as soon as possible.

You truly are not (supposed to be) required to use a specific profession to purchase items for that profession. Even if an item is not intended for use by a particular profession, you still can (or will be able to, once the fix goes through) purchase the item for use by another character/profession. For example, your Elementalist is welcome to purchase Engineer gear, although obviously the Ele cannot equip it.

If someone is having difficulty downloading, consider completely closing the GW2 window and logging back in. If you have part of the download you will not start over, but merely pick up where you left off. I find this is helpful, at times, in getting a download to complete on what is (as I’m sure you can imagine) a very busy day for the servers.

Would be nice if WvW had its own Skills & Traits to use, so you don’t have to swap them out every time you go back to PvE. I can deal with switching armor & weapons.

I mean if you can do it in PvP, why not WvW too?

Again, you keep mixing your own definition of what a grind is, and what Anet sees as a grind. You aren’t required to kill the same thing over and over to advance the game and/or have fun.

For Pete’s sake! When did I ever say I had to grind to advance the game??? I said that you’re required to grind to collect enough silk scraps to complete a set of ascended armor in under a year!

I know you can collect some silk without grinding. I know I can stick to low level fractals without grinding. I’m saying that if I want to participate in high end content with my guildies any time in the next six months I’m going to have to grind to collect enough silk.

I know I’ll get some silk without grinding, but it won’t be enough silk. The fact that grinding is so rewarding has inflated prices on the TP beyond the reach of most non-grinders. In most cases, I don’t care because I tend to gather what I need along the way. Silk, however, is not readily available through the course of normal play. Unless, that is, your course of normal play is grinding.

I don’t grind. That’s why I only have 48 gold and no silk scraps. I’m at 3/6 ascended pieces. At current prices I can dump every last cent that I have into silk. That’ll complete one more piece for me and half of another.

To be clear, I have Mawdrey. I have all ascended rings and the amulet. My story line is complete. I have 100% map completion (WvW maps included). I’m not complaining about any of those things. I know I don’t need ascended armor to get any of them.

Here’s my complaint: I do not have silk. That’s what this thread is supposed to be about. It’s not about whether or not I need BiS armor. It’s not about whether the story line can be completed. It’s about the fact that ArenaNet’s manifesto made the claim that BiS armor shouldn’t be a grind. It’s about the fact that Colin reiterated that claim last month. It’s about the fact that the sheer quantity of silk required to craft ascended gear in conjunction with the low availability of silk through normal play has made grinding the only viable means of crafting ascended gear in a timely (< 6 months) manner.

Contrary to what’s been stated, I don’t expect a full set of ascended armor in a day. I don’t even expect it in a week. Getting it within six weeks of hitting level 80 would be reasonable in my mind. Having to gather silk for a year and a half, however, isn’t so reasonable. When the choice is between having to wait that long and having to grind, one of these promises is being broken:

I know that some will contend that grinding is fun. I respectfully disagree.

I know lowering the cost of how much silk is required to make Bolt of Damask isn’t really the answer, but how about getting more silk from salvaging light armor? Instead of 1-3, you would get like 4-6 silk per piece. And depending on what level it is (level 80 giving highest of 6 per) you’d get more silk. This might lower the cost on silk, but still keeping the requirements the same to craft ascended gear.
