ArenaNet’s definition of grind is having to do one specific task over and over again in order to get something.

Because the game is designed to allow you to do just about any task whatsoever and get the same items as a reward, there is no “grind”.

This maybe true for when trying to get gear & items. However it does not hold true to leveling. While its not exactly the same thing over and over. It is still doing the same stuff. Running around killing mobs, completing hearts, getting waypoints, vistas, and points of interest in a type of repetitive scenario. Yes you can PVP as well for Tomes of Knowledge, but thats just another path of repeating the same stuff over and over.

Honestly when I hear “grind” I think of the long time its going to take to get to max level. I don’t think about how long its going to take to farm for certain items.

So I just used my Airship pass, and normally where the Trainer is standing next to the activity NPC, is no longer there. I’m not sure if this is intentional, but I didn’t see any patch notes on it.

I seen no mention of CPU, which is probably your problem.

How about some new Armor skins? .. Not these Outfits. We haven’t gotten any new Armor skins since last april, almost a year ago.

So My house has basically every node, except that treasure chest (but that can’t be farmed by others anyway).

I did notice there is no Iron node, nor Saffron Thread node. I’m sure there are others that could be used. Maybe a Dry top chest?

Is this collection achievement even possible to do anymore? I seem to be running into constant event bugs or NPC’s not responding.

Been sitting out in Straits of Devastation for the past few hours, and Scholar Breandan hasn’t moved or done anything.

Yeah, Black Citadel has some serious problems.

You should really turn those Master’s Salvage Kit into Mystic Salvage Kits.. 250 charges for the Mystic Salvage kit, and you only need to buy 1 fine, 1 journeyman’s, and 1 masters.. combine with 3 mystic forge stones. Better than buying a ton of master’s salvage kits

For quite some time, even just visiting Black Citadel for a few seconds.. then waypointing to another map will cause some serious FPS lag issues. I went to the Captain’s Airship right after.. and my FPS dropped to around 15. When it is normally around 80 – 90. It is only in areas that look like Black Citadel. Even Home Instance does this as well. I am pretty sure this isn’t a new thing I’m posting about. I’m just getting sick of having to restart my game client every time I visit that city.

I think telling the difference from armor type is a big issue as well. Maybe some little symbol in the corner of each item.. like M for masterwork L for legendary, ect..

Well its not really new, but it seems like the sound effects for Quip just got higher pitched?

Not sure if this will work for others. I live in the US and I was resetting my client over and over just to watch it drop down to 0KB every time. As soon as I used a proxy located in London UK, I was able to patch right away.

So maybe this might work for others.

The repair NPC on the Captain’s Airship is at the very bottom of the ship. Probably the most inconvenient place for it. I was thinking since I doubt hardly anyone uses the Daily Activity NPC, it could switch spots with the Repair NPC. Put the Activity NPC at the bottom of the ship and the Repair NPC at the top, that way when players use their Airship Pass just to repair, they won’t have to go far. Truly making it the ultimate convenience!

Would be nice to know if switching to a different class would make that difference lol

Meaning say If I open them on a Necro, would I be more likely to get light armor from them, or is it all just random?

my necro in diessa plat has no problems, and the people here dont even know that its happening, its a handful of maps, obviously the populated ones

bunch of people on my teamspeak were all like “wtf i got dc”.. and its been going on for an hr.

lol so I sold an item on the TP for 12g, the money is waiting for me to pick it up.. oh great i got DC.. log back in.. 12g still waiting to be picked up.. oh the item is in my inventory again?.. ok cool.. now I have 24g to be picked up.. DC .. oh.. this went on like 6 times lol

Yeah there was a mini rollback. I have an item I salvaged back in my inventory lol

they went in.. i started at 282.. I deposited them, the number changed to 318, got DC 10 seconds later.. come back and they are back to 282, and no ectos in my inventory or bank.

So I salvaged about 50 rares, got about 36 ectos, put them in my collection.. then during this DC chain reaction.. they aren’t in my collection.

Anyone else lose anything?

I’m all for that trait saving.. whenever I do Triple Trouble with my guild.. I do condi team, and find myself switching every day. So having something to save a set of traits would save a ton of time.

Someone was standing in camp resolve dying due to poison. This is definitely a bug.

People are getting the Noxious Gas poison condition, and they are in Camp Resolve dying.

ANet please fix this.

Just as the title asks. I didn’t find any date anywhere saying when wintersday content is ending.

Also.. Star of Gratitude.. is this only going to be available while the wintersday content is still going on? So if say someone that doesn’t play for a while and wasn’t able to login during wintersay. Are they now screwed from getting the Star of Gratitude?

This is the only tonic that will not change your skills, but it changes your race. I am suggesting something like this.

If you are waiting that long, it sounds like a you problem. I barely notice any kind of UI lag at all. And most of the time I only notice it when its my own computer’s fault.

So what you are telling me is that you never notice the fade in effect, then fade out effect whenever you accept a mini chest (above your mini map on bottom right)?

The new Trading Post. The mini chests on the bottom right. Anything that takes forever to appear then disappear. It annoys the hell out of me.

ANet I’m going to give it to you straight. No one likes waiting for their User Interface to take forever for something to appear, then disappear. Way too many useless animations on the Trading Post in order to sell or buy something. And the animations for the mini chests is quite annoying when farming out in Silverwastes. When you have a good 4 – 5 chests to accept. You click on the chest.. wait about 4 seconds for it to appear, click accept then wait another 4 seconds for it to disappear. Waste of time.

Sure some people might like this, but for those that don’t please implement a feature that can turn off this garbage.

Yeah, I figured such tonics would have endless forms. I meant it would be a nuisance to have to reuse them whenever you enter/exit zones. (I collect Endless tonics, and they’re a bit of a hassle to travel with.)

I wouldn’t mind seeing more combat tonics. Obviously, there are a lot of tonics that just wouldn’t work for that, but there’s room for some interesting player-shaped tonics that would work in combat. (For example, a Nightmare Court Tonic, Tonic of Whispers, Inquest Tonic, etc.)

It always seemed strange that the Watchknight tonic was a highly-restricted one-off.

Doesn’t mean there can’t be a tonic with a longer duration !
