[OPTION] Remove confirm box salvaging Rares

After salvaging well over 3000 Rares over the past two days, I’m going absolutely insane; never before had I experienced the Runescape-esque clickfest that salvaging items could be in Guild Wars 2.
Admittedly, Fine and Masterwork items do NOT pop up the confirmation box, but they aren’t the focus of my salvaging. On the other hand, Rares are systematically asking me whether I’m sure I want to salvage them, and there is no way for me to tick a box that would, say, let me disable that “pop-up”.
In some other games, users can dig through the menu and THEY are given the ability to enable that option if they want to. It isn’t a default option, but rather one you have to search for. If that option is enabled, salvaging the wrong item is on you.
Ironically, we might need a confirmation box before we enable the option, but we at least should have that choice. Whether or not this choice should be opened for Exotic items as well can be a point of contention, but I think we should at least include rares.
I’m going insane here, more so because Mystic Kits aren’t even covering a tiny portion of my Salvage Kit demands.
EDIT: I want to specify that I’m both using the “position Inventory for faster salvage with the Rare filter on” trick as well as using Mouse Keys to reduce wrist strain on at least a portion of the clicks. It helps, but it doesn’t solve the problem at its root.

I guess I was wanting to know if there are also any new features that maybe I overlooked. I just don’t have time right now to go through 6 months of patch notes and upcoming changes.

The trait changes to specialisations ready for the new elite specialisations are the only significant gameplay changes in 6 months that I recall.

Lets not forget about that black lion key farm nerf.. only 1 key per week at low level story.

Was doing Triple Trouble with some guild members, and noticed how difficult it is to see commander tags with a bunch of people around, so I took this screenshot, and it seems player names overlap the commander tag, making it even hard to see. It would be nice if the commander tag was on top of everything else at all times, as when the commander asks for us to do something, but yet run around for a few seconds looking for it, but can’t see it because of player names covering it.

I think you guys get it, and I understand that some of you are pretty “hot under the collar” about the event. But please try to give us ideas we can work with — that’s to everyone’s benefit.

How about turning off the events of the map being invaded, so that way we don’t have to deal with the Toxic mobs nearby for example.

After I reset my router, the bug returned, but turning off my antivirus did stop it. So I guess I just need to tweak my antivirus settings. Thanks everyone!

Except that booster enchantment powder also work on combat boosters including armor, speed, rejuvenation and strength.

Since the update old boosters no longer drop from Black Lion Chests, I mean thats cool, less stuff to worry about taking up space.

What I don’t get is why do the Boost Enchantment Powders still drop from the Black Lion Chests if you can no longer get the old boosts. It’s taking up a slot on the Black Lion Chest for something else to be rolled.

Please REMOVE Them!!!

The Dreamer doesn’t work properly with Theif’s Cluster Bomb when Detonating. I fire a unicorn into the air.. hit 2 again to detonate, and instead of it splitting 3 ways in the air.. it splits 3 ways around where my character is standing instead. (really low to the ground barely can see it)

So I’m using The Dreamer on my Thief. And I used Cluster Bomb to fire the Unicorn into the air, then used Detonate Cluster, and normally the 1 Unicorn gets turned into 3, but its just disappearing instead. … Actually wait.. its being split off from around where my character is standing instead of in the air.

I tried using Trading Post, Inventories, and Characters (all 3 at once). It comes back just saying Error .. no other information.

Edit: Take that back. I can’t create any API Key.

Ok it goes a little something like this..

I have a silver fed salvage-o-matic in my bank. I go to make my Revenant. I go to my bank to pull out my silver fed, which worked. I salvaged most of the items I got from that loot box thing because most of it I can’t use. I put my Silver fed back in my bank, I switch characters only to find that its not in there. So my silver fed is now stuck in “limbo”.. and I can’t move it back.

I’ve seen this happen before at previous raids. I believe the part where the zerg disappears, and you randomly teleport means ANet is working on those servers. This isn’t something that can be helped, but I’ve seen this before in the past.

I wasn’t not at this particular event, but I attend the OCE time frame which is around 12:30 PM UTC server time (we find a map around 12:10 PM). I understand what you guys were going through, I got screwed over one time due to this exact same problem because it randomly teleported me to Sparkfly Fen right where Teq would land, and I’m thinking.. how the hell did I get here lol.

I did find out that most consumables like flamethrowers, or ogre pet whistles, fire elemental powders.. things like these show up as question marks. So they don’t have an icon yet.

Well I expected a Buff to these Bosses after they melted so fast the last Days, but now, wow. is this even just doubling the Health?, looks more like 10 times or 20 times. Another Problem here is that the Crit Spots aren’t working as intended, thus making much less damage than we could. Hope Anet can fix the Crit Spots and adjust the Health so they just have double the amount of HP they had earlier.

At most only a 25% buff was needed for all world bosses. After they removed the uncap 5 target thing or w/e that was buffing everyone, we had teq killed at a normal time around 11 mins, and this was before the condi changes. So the world bosses life were right where they needed to be.

Is sharing API Keys with other players ok to do, or should I keep this information to myself? I wasn’t sure if say giving someone an API Key would put me at risk for account compromisation, or something related to that.

The needs and desires of the majority overrule the ones of the minority.

OP, you have an easy way to bypass your problem.You turning off your chat is the easiest solution to the problem. It doesn’t require A-net to make a new rule or enforce it. It doesn’t dilute the helpful attitude that people have.

A-net have absolutely no reason to take into your suggestion of changing the rules- it would harm the community more than benefit it. It seems to me like you’re overreacting a bit to a simple problem with a simple solution.

Honestly if OP is leaving their map on, they are probably asking for advice lol

My full condi specced Necro previous to patch was getting around 16 – 20 stacks of bleeding and hitting for about 2400 per tick.

Now I get up to 18 – 22 stacks and only 2000 dmg…

Please help use bleeding necros!

They nerfed condi damage to make up for the 1500 stack cap instead. Although burning is the one that needs a looking at. Bleeding is fine.

Every condition is fine. It’s just burning that is causing the problem. Look at combat log.

Lets be honest here.. I like how the traits are on classes, the update is wonderful. I think the major issue is just the condition damage of burning, and of course quickness stacking at teq.

I am playing this game for 3 years how many time I have to unlock same traits again and again. Don’t tell me this compressed skills are new skills.

If you are level 80, its just some mouse clicks to get trained all the way back up. Quit crying..

At least they removed the trait books that you could buy, now you don’t have to spend anything, not even time to go get them.

Just getting these out there so we know we are all in agreement:

1) Conditions seem a bit strong
2) World bosses are currently too easy
3) There are some bugged skills and traits
4) There are some overpowered builds

1) Conditions are fine as they are, you should look into classes that apply them. Maybe certain conditions are OP, burning maybe?
2) While I like how it is now, I do agree on this.
3) Hard to say what ones are bugged, but then again you probably already know.
4) I think this just has to do with the condition damage. I like my build I have now

A quick update on this one -> After feedback from presenting the original hero point count – we decided getting to level 80 will give you enough hero points to unlock all the core skills and traits entirely. Doing hero challenges (aka skill challenges) will simply allow you to earn all the skills/traits earlier before level 80. With the release of HoT, there will be options to spend the excess hero points earned from doing hero challenges in the world.

There are a number of other changes on 6/23 to make the experience from 1-80 more exciting, better-paced, rewarding, and fun as well after having the time to evaluate and player feedback from the updates last year.

No it doesn’t make the bank useless.. it just allows you to use 1 permanent bank across all of your accounts instead of having multiple. Your bank still has a ton of more room, but with this bag you of course would be limited to how much you could put in it. So thats why I was saying a 10 slot bag would be more than enough.

Even if someone doesn’t have a permanent bank, they could store other items in it, like permanent gathering tools, or maybe copper fed salvage o matic, or even multiple single use bank accesses. Items they would never have to go to the bank for to pick up everytime they swap characters. I will use this as an example…

I start on my Warrior doing sparkfly fen champ farming train with my guild. One of the guild leaders decides to spawn teq and we stop and fight him. After the fight, I have to put all the items I need to use on my other character in my bank, after that I have to get on my alt character and go to the bank (or table), and pick the items up.. then I can finally go back to sparkfly and continue champ farming with my guild, before the real spawn teq shows up, so I can get another “Big” chest from killing teq again. With the account bound bag, I could eliminate the need to first off, storing the items in the bank, secondly I wouldn’t need to go to the bank to pick them up as they would already be in the bag, so I could just easily switch characters and go directly out to sparkfly without missing much action. Just think if someone has long loading times (up to around 1 minute), how much of a great help this would be for them?

Let me further explain. This would be a special bag you put in your inventory, that if you put an item in it.. your other characters can use those items as well. It would be something you could use on the fly, without having the need to go to your bank to pick up the items. Yes I know accounts have banks, even a permanent bank access contract, but you can’t expect everyone to have a permanent bank on every single character. This would be on average a 10 slot bag.

To clarify: $50 is the price of the expansion. We included the core game as a free bonus to make it easier for new players to get into it.

It WAS stated in the FAQ that players would be required to buy the base game in order to use Heart of Thorns. Now that FAQ was changed at the last day right as HoT pre-orders go live. So all those players that bought the game back when the game was 75% Off, didn’t need to buy the game back then. This is why a lot of people are kittened off. We want our $10 back!!!
