just dont go putting in lots of items into the mystic toilet thinking a nice dusk will come out… ONLY ever put in a few yellows once in a while.. never any more! save save save!!! and u will have it… play the mystic toilet and you will kick yourself in the butt like i have

If you take away the cost of a precursor and just add the cost of the other parts
then you will see the selling price ( after listing fee and sale fee ) would be very little

And because its a weapon no one really wants it will take alot longer to sell and most likely be undercut by 1copper allot.

Best way to get a Legendary is to make the clovers first save up all the T6 mats, lodestones, ecto’s world completion ext ext.. then once you have “everything” other then the precursor… figure out what you want to do then.

The last thing you get should be the precursor weapon and we have Crafting to L500 coming soon that Anet have SAID you will be able to craft a precursor so by the time you have everything you may be able to craft one for under 100g or maybe even less if its more time gated.

YOU WILL NOT MAKE money that way and the money you do make will no way be worth the 200 skill points, map completion, cost of 77 clovers and all the other parts that you will need to refarm all over again to do it a second time.

Remember you only get 2 gifts of exploration when doing 100% map completion not something i would want to waste..

Do some champ farming.. in the past week and a bit ive made 300g and so has my friend from 3 hours a day only!

Ive put in 1000g worth of exotics into the mystic forge.. 1000 ecto’s to get 240 clovers. and never did i get a precursor i should have just saved up all this time but i wanted it quicker! don’t try to shortcut it .. it only makes it harder to get i learned the hard way.

You could Gamble with the Clovers and maybe get high priced t6 mats but this is a gamble.. ive put in about 1000 coins, 1000 ecto’s 1000 shards 1000 Crystals

I came out with nothing lost, nothing gained ( after selling everything ) and 240 Clovers

Will never do it again as i have enough for 3 Legendarily now lol .. yet to make 1 .. kitten u pre curser weapon lol 1000g worth of exotic weapons in mystic forge with ZERO pre cursers…Its been over a year started playing from the games release .. should it take this long to make a Legendary!

I guess they want me to buy it from the TP! .. back to farming gold then.

5000 rares = 1000g at current TP prices of 20s each LOL cheaper buying it from the TP and pocketing the rest.

Ive got about 350g saved up now and when i get to 600g i will still hang on to my gold.. when L500 crafting comes out i will jump on that and craft two precursers and make 2 legendarily at the same time. Almost got enough mats for 2 and a stack of 250 Clovers lol haha

Its the most obvious stat that wont annoy too many people
Speed or condition duration are just not as good!

A long shot could be Magic find to Gold drop
as this will keep the “most” amount of people happy

So i decided to use up a few of these mystic forge stones after hearing a rumour about better chance of exotics form rares. I had 10g at the time so i thought, “wth why not”. i bought 50 of the cheapest rares and did the 3 rares and one stone. ended up getting dawn and rodgorts flame:D i recommend trying this if you guys are gonna risk the toilet

It doesn’t improve the odds at all. If anything i got back LESS exotics

I jumped onto this about 2 months ago but only grabbed 9 stacks of 250 ( 2,250 )
at 61silver each not really worried about making a fortune or not, i just dont want to be ought out again like i was on the T6 Ancient bones i had a two stacks of 250 at one point that i sold for 65copper each lol

Mind you in the last 3 days i’ve made 173gold from farming Champs.. ( 3x Crystal Guardian GS drops ) and sold them ASAP.. price of that GS skin has droped from 150g to 40g in less then a week.

They’re also releasing kits that let you change the stats of an item, with restrictions. They’ll probably replace magic find with something useless or give out free kits.

It really doesn’t matter what they replace it with since ascended gear will probably come out at the same time.

it doesn’t matter because ascended gear? lol you do know we already have ascended gear with “magic find” on it so I’m pretty sure it does matter to those people.

Took a 2 month break from FOTM.. Got back into it and got 2 skins from 3x L48 runs
:) one Spear and one Rifle.. both i wanted woohoo.. still waiting to get a GS, Shield, Scepter, Staff..

Hope they do update it a bit more then they normally do…. heck yesterday we all got a support ticket from the chest on charmen boss after he jumps into the lava LOL .. "support ticket? … someone needs to tell the FOTM programers that the election is over

I pumped 30 rare hammers + Forge stones into the toilet yesterday and came out the other side with a chaos gun. Not bad turn around for about 8g worth of rare hammers.

:) I’m currently saving for a Ascended weapon & armor when they are released.
Over the whole “current” legendary weapons that everyone already has and is nothing special anymore… while i save i play for fun doing FOTM L48 dailies for the skins.. now there’s a reward that is WORTH going for and shows off your skill.. On my way to the1000 fractal runs achievement hehe

The mystic toilet is a horrible horrible thing.. but it works well as a gold sink for Anet and keeps the economy from accumulating too much gold.

At the end of the day what else is “everyone” going to blow the gold on if not new shinnies.

Hope Anet does create a new way to get a precurser though buying it off a Trading post “should NOT” be the way they wanted us to get it ? or is it?

1000g over 1 year into the forge .. exotics, rares, stones, named, unnamed, L75+, L80 no precursor.

The one thing that i’ve found over this time is that the more you put in there in 1 single day the worse it becomes .. almost like its got diminishing returns but ANET will jump backwards to convince you it doesn’t!!! .. we cant have our money sink being exposed.

Toss in no more then 10 of each thing a day! ( 10×4 rares, 10×4 exotics, 10x runs ext ) any more will return a less likely chance for something good. ( still a chance if your lucky )

IT WAS!!! .. T6 and lodestones or cores.. BUT! they quickly passed through some updated to Nerf it back to T5+T6+junk and then nerf it again to Normal, Rare, Exotic bags lol

They were ALL exotic.. before the nerfs people were going CRAZY for them and T6 mats HALFED on the TP

Also there were on average 50 Champs ( mostly Champion centaurs ) in the arena .. now hardly any.

Anet has stated that you have as much chance of getting a precursor weapon on your first try on the mystic forge ( or open world L80 exotic drop ) as you do on your 10,000th try! .. its the same odds every time it is a lottery in every sense

So someone could play GW2 for 10 years every day and still not get a Precursor. Its unlikely but 100% possible and there in lies the problem.

The only 100% way is buying it on the TP

Yeah a lottery is a lottery… ALLOT of people have quit this game after dumping 1600g in the forge and getting nothing… does Anet want this? why would anyone stick up for this.

The ONLY way to get a Precursor exotic weapon is to buy it from the Trading Post

THAT IS THE ONLY WAY! .. All other ways could see you spending 1000g+ and doing chests every day for over a year like me and ending up WITH NOTHING.. you could spend 10,000g and end up with nothing.

You could spend 5 years opening world chests and end up with nothing…

THIS is why I’m saying Anet needs to fix this! The only way to get one is if you farm gold or you win the lottery! with RNG …. COF`P1 farmers have purchased 2-3 precursors from the TP and have it all, the rest of us get ever increasing Precursor prices.

COF Capping has not changed the cost of a Precursor if anything it has gone up with more people hitting end game and going for one!

Started farming for a Legendary Pre courser and have been ever since

Put in about 1000g++ in the forge in every way conceivable over that time
Rares and exotics, named and unnamed, COF runs and 500+ L48+ Fractals ( no GS skin) VERY UNLUCY! RNG

I’ve had ZERO ( 0 ) precursors.. and still farming to get one.

I’m at the point of saving to buy from the TP
Wish it wasnt like that but its sooo RARE to get one that buying is now my only option.

Once you put in 1000g worth of stuff into the forge you SHOULD be allowed to have a pre curse no MATTER what!

This will NOT flood the market at all and give people who have slaved over this game like myself and have NOTHING to show for it some happiness

ANET needs to fix this.

dont worry for 6+ months of grinding you can get a legendary helmet that will be able to change stats to whatever you want..

Oh and +6 months of grinding for every other piece of armor

Or you could get the upcoming ascended weapons and armor for 1+ month of grinding “each” but those wont let you change stats! … welcomes to GWgringfest 2.0 coming to drive people Grind crazy soon!

So for those looking at saving up matts in the bank for ascended armor you will also require around 30+ days to accumulate the other require mats that can be made only once per day.

Wow the cost of these things on the trading post will be huge as anyone selling them will have needed to reach level 500 first on top of probably 250ecto’s and 250powerful bloods to get 1 mat lol

To tell you guys the truth I’ve kinda stooped playing GW2.. Anet is losing me!
After spending every day from the game launch trying to make a legendary and still not getting a pre curs i’m over it… im getting bored of GW2 and the living story just sux.. no new armor, crazy overpriced items that are made even rarer with each passing update.. no thank you.

I dont know about the rest of you but i really am looking forward to an expansion.
these living story things are in no way an expansion. Apart from the first that offered the FOTM and NEW Asended gear,

What i want is NEW ARMORE.. NEW, Weapons (Great Axe, Crossbow) new crafting and Legendary Armor.

I dont care about all these new Fluff temp content one single bit. I want near gear for my toon.

New expansion = new armor, that’s the only time we will see armor

compared to PS3 and Xbox360.. these new gen machines have a much better chance of running GW2. or making it less of a pain.

well the specs are there to be able to run MMO’s now! and with more online content there’s going to be a move to more online gameplay

If Anet/Ncsoft want to make more money then its a very good way to go about it!
No other suggestion would make as much money as selling the same game 2 more times on 2 more platforms.

Any chance if Anet could port over the PC version of GW2 over to the Xbox One and PS4, seeing as both use X86-64 CPU’s and Xbox-1 even has windows8.

Would really max out servers in GW2 a bit if it mixed with PC users but the more populated the game the better.

I got kicked twice.. one at level 22 and once at level 8 LOL

Both times my reward level was 49 and i was just doing dailies.. The Level 22 was at MAW Guild Grifted! no reason at all 45AR over 500 runs!. the the level 8 i was helping out a group .. level 8 They kicked me at the 3rd Frac.. SWAMP! .. looks like they kicked me to help someone level up kinda sux i still wanted the chest loot and MAW chest.

The boss HP has gone up 20%..Thats what it feels like to me!
That or most of the party are running MF lol GOLD farming and linking Zerker gear in the inventory lol

I’m at level 49 and i get Nothing from FOTM.. a 2 hour run gets me 80 Silver worth of greens and blues.. lol thats it

I used to run FOTM all the time and got back from 6-10g per run. but they Nerfed it into nothing.

You can buy Karma Armor from the temples for 42k Karma each and toss them in the forge..

Used to be able to salvage them for the runes and ecto’s but NOT anymore! Anet fixed that… but Mystic forging them still works fine.. 168k Karma for a chance at a exotic armor worth 2-5 Gold inst an issue for Anet. Probably better off with Orien boxes

Leg weapons are just like winning lotto… unless you grinned or played the TP and just purchased them. Neither of witch i want to do .. boring

Last time i did dredge at level 48 it took us around 50 minutes… its a long one for sure!
But Hillside is also long… and i would rather dredge because at least you get all those bag drops! Ive got a few loadstones from them.
We did swamp in around 10 minutes. and water in around 15

I find it quicker to do level 48 with pro players then levels 10+ with newer ones.

Ok yes.. i guess 500 FF isnt 500 runs! .. its 500 / 4 = 125 Chests.. 3 skins to show for it! welcome to my luck and just the other day i was in a party and 3 of the people had a Fractal great sword. I asked how many runs they had done… i got back a reply of 30-40 lol hurts when i hear that.. but then again i’m yet to get a LW Precursor or any dyes worth more then 4G or anything worth more then 4G on the TP .. playing from the start of the game and i’ve been the most unluckiest person in GW2.. ( just guessing )

ohh and it took me 500 Ecto’s 500 Coins, 500 Shards and 500 crystals to get my 80 Clovers! is that good?.. not sure

I never will or plan to ever start farming (COF) in this game.. maybe that’s my problem??
have put in on average over 4 hours a day each day every day from launch of the game playing.

At this point I’m just waiting for a better game to come along and save my from GW2 .. I hear Homeworld maybe making a comeback

almost done 500 runs. 3 skins… so far i’m winning as having the worst luck in FOTM .. i’m yet to see someone with as many runs as me to still only have 3 skins.. none that i want.

Anet wants FOTM to die.. they don’t want us to do FOTM and they will most likely Nurf it again sometime soon to make it even less attractive to run, at the moment i’ve given up playing FOTM until something changes.

50+ and more FOTM is what i want.. so many people stuck at 50 and cant go any higher all because its been Nerfed.

worst place to farm for drops or gold is FOTM .. But best place to feel like you’ve progressed somewhat! ..

I think this will be another way to acquire the “already” new flame/Dredge skins.
You will get nothing else form the dung other then something new to play.

i’m not going to waste mats on these infusions until the superior infusions come out lol

How funny will it be seeing all those people with fine infusions going crazy over wasting all those matts.

I’m going to head of to WvW for a while FOTM is just too much grind for nothing.
