Any alternative to acquiring skins for people who have run 500+ FOTM’s would be a welcomed one!

I wasted 3 hours yesterday running a level 48 FOTM for NOTHING..

No cores.. no rares nothing at all but a stack of greens, blues, and whites all worth about 25 silver

Its Nerfed and Anet got what it wanted. i am quitting FOTM from now on i wont bother with it any longer.. no more chasing for the skins.
Goodbye horrible FOTM RNG.

Over 600 runs of FOTM and i have 3 skins ( a mace, longbow, spear ) 27 rings to show for it and 90% of those were BEFOR they Nerfed it lol

I want one massive 3 way server fight in one single small arena of inescapable death no walls.. no hills just sand of the arena… zergs pawnage. now it would be laggy and an epileptic’s nightmare but boy would it be funny as and you would score so much from spam

Ascended trinkets have been out for a very long time now… i originally did this very same thing with a ring.. i purchased with pristine fractal relics not laurels thank goodness.. i have more rings then i can count and pristine fractal relics are worthless so all is good on ascended rings… but Anet really should give the player more IN GAME info on this issue.

Just hit 400 runs on my Explorer tab.. i have 26 rings Total, and 3 skins.

1 Longbow, 1 Mace, 1 Spear.
I want a 2 Great swords a Rifle, Shield, and Scepter

I’ve run Level 28, 38, 48 for many months got two skins at 38 and one at 48

The higher you go up the more likely you are to get skins but also more likely to spend hours trying to finish a run.

lol… maybe they just finished level 0-10 and they may not know that at 10-12-14-16 they get that extra chest. best to point that out in chat from now on if your getting it happen to you 50% of the time…

I’ve run 400 FOTM’s and havent had that happen yet.. have been gifted once though. at the last level on MAW. 2 votes to kick someone is just too LOW! and it was a guild group wanting to give a fellow guildy a Free run. i worked hard for.

Yeah, had the same thing happen to me its just a glitch and you can fix it by changing to your other weapon or going in close with a greatsword, .. its one of many in AC.. along with if you stand on a spawnpoint of a burrow when it spawns you fall through the floor into an underground lake and the only way out is to repawn at a waypoint. Videogames have bugs… its sometimes good when fighting hard bosses and bad at times when trying to protect a NPC.

This PC will run Youtube and surf the net great.. Latest Gen games.. not so good!

Gw2 would be awesome on the PS4.. it would help bring so much more life into the world.. but on XboxNext.. it will be full of issues that Microsoft will create by wanting some special requests for giving them the rights to port the game.

From how complicated it is, we will only see new armor as added ascended content or expansion pack content, either way its looking like we will be waiting a while and it will be hard to get or we will need to pay for it.

If armor was easier to make we would have already got more.

I don’t think we are going to see ANY new EXOTIC armor skins EVER!., The Ascended armor’s will be out new skins!.. This will be a while off also as i think they will want to make each Ascended armor looks unique and have one unique looking piece for every single stat combo.

I have 50 rings sitting in my bank. most are infused already and all of them are just of no use to me. I would never spend laurels on a ring EVER and have enough sets of rings for more then 16 Alternative characters in the type of ring STAT i want. Shards,Globs,Vials,FOTM Relics are just stacking up and are of no use. hehe

I have doubles triples and quad-ripples of the same rings no big deal really. lol

you can try to ress a party member till 99% before the agony phase and then when you get agony you can ress him.

This is how we do every single run 40+
and you do it again once you kill the last jade Crystal.

How do you have 45AR ? ….

2 infused rings = 20
1 infused Back = 10
1 Amulet = 5
1 accessory = 5

Total 40 AR

The only way to get 45 AR is if you already have two accessory’s one from Laurels one from Guild Mission! and in that case WOW.. well done!

RNG is strange… i’ve done 10 runs in a row FOTM’s from 10+-20+-30+-40+ and got a ring every single daily.

And i’ve done 10 runs in a row and got ZERO rings from level 10+-20+-30+ and 40+ daily.
:) Word of advice.. dont worry about rings too much.. by the time you get to level 30 in FOTM your bank will be overflowing with JUNK rings lol .. and only do 20+ FOTM .. as you get "already infused rings and a small chance to get a Fractal weapon skin.

I did a FOTM Level 38 last night twice… both times Hillside was the second level and both times the NOOB’s in my group killed “everything” at the dual wrist chains and didn’t leave 1 or 2 alive on one side, ending the run.

THEY were told NOT to or its game over! many many times before hand. and OMG this is level 38 how did they get that far without knowing this.

Anyways i get someone join my level 38 group last week that was at level 1 and had never done a FOTM run ever we carried him for Swamp.. but after that we asked him to leave as he had Zero AR and its better for him to start at a lower level. noobs dont even know they are noobs!

The day you toss them away or sell them for peanuts at a vender ( Ascended rings ) is the day they make them salvageable or mystic forgivable. that’s how things work

I still remember buying way too many oranges and butter with Karma and tossing them to free us space as they were account locked.

A few days later they removed them from the Karma venders and added them to bags and the price on the market for those items went through the roof! lol I’m hanging onto my bank tab full of rings and junk this time.

Anyone who uses Laurels to buy rings is insane! ( use the laurels for bracelet or earnings only. I have 10 rings sitting in my bank… my alts have all the rings i want.. i got them all from doing FOTM level 10-20 daily and they are pretty easy to do! and cost zero laurels.. i get them FREE.. and if i dont get them i still get a token that when i save 10 of them i can just buy a ring with Fractel relic tokens

If you want to save your laurels they maybe releasing a set or ARMORE and Weapons that require laurels. but who knows when they will be released.

TP Mogal.. the people who buy up all the Abyss dye for 9g each and relist them ALL for 22g each LOL Bingo they just went from 3000g in the bank to 6000g in the bank

Ok this is my run history from when FOTM first came out.. if you think it means nothing then so be it but after so many runs its really only Anet that knows what is going on… Same thing with the mystic forge. Over months and months.

Run FOTM ( Only 1 Daily Run per day )

First run after a parch
1. 8 Gold worth of loot ( Awesome ) + ring
2. 1 Gold worth of loot ( Sometimes less) no ring
3. 1 Gold worth of loot ( Sometimes less) no ring
4. 1 Gold worth of loot ( Sometimes less) no ring
5. 1 Gold worth of loot ( Sometimes less) no ring
6. 1 Gold worth of loot ( Sometimes less) no ring
7. 1 Gold worth of loot ( Sometimes less) no ring

Patch comes out again resetting nodes and DR then i run it again.

8. 8 Gold worth of loot ( Awesome ) + ring
9. 1 Gold worth of loot ( Sometimes less) no ring
10. 1 Gold worth of loot ( Sometimes less) no ring
11. 1 Gold worth of loot ( Sometimes less) no ring
12. 1 Gold worth of loot ( Sometimes less) no ring
13. 1 Gold worth of loot ( Sometimes less) no ring
14. 1 Gold worth of loot ( Sometimes less) no ring

Keep this going for another 80 days, same thing every single time nothing ever changes.
no ring no good loot… I only get it every time i get a patch..
Im still yet to NOT get a ring after a patch!

For now everyone should just make an Alt and move all rings from the bank to the Alt. wait it out and in a year or so if nothings changed… you could just vender the trash rings “if you ever needed the player slot back”

You get lucky on a single run and decide you got DR? Even without DR … 7 rares, 2 exotics and 3 globs is a ton of drops on FotM10. Average is 2-3 rares and 0 globs.

Like i said.. this has happens after "every single patch update so far.. not a single run . every single run I’ve done have after a patch i hit the jackpot.. After that each daily run is a worthless waste of time for drops! .. wait until the next patch.. Bingo Drops like CRAZY again… this is not some random fluke its FACT!

If you look at the FOTM weapon skins people ARE spending 1000s of hours grinding for skins ! and NOT better tire stuff

Guardian or Warrior are the best farmers. hope that helps!

PS: you will also get preference for FOTM and Most Dungeons with either those classes.

It looks like diminishing returns kicks in after your first run of FOTM “any level” and resets back after a patch/update. This has happened for me now every time (50 FOTM “DAILY” runs)

My last daily run directly after a patch was more rewarding for me then the next week put together.
And that was only on level 10.
I got 3 Globs of mist, 7 rares, 2 exotics, 1 loadstone, 4 core, and an ascended ring (no MF at all) and other runs after update’s have been similar. ( all other daily runs gave me nothing but a few cores maybe 1 rare… no ring )

I’ve also had this exact same experience with the mystic toilet.
Put in 100 rare L75+ weapons after a patch and got back 9 exotics
Put in 100 rare L75+ weapons a day later and got back 2 exotics

So DR is something that stays with you for a long time until an update comes out and resets the DR along with resource node locations ext.

Good build, though I fear that you’re getting a ton of aggro with that armor.
Unless you run with good Guardians (rare, most are glassy warrior wannabes but some actually have 3600 armor so it’s non-issues)

I used to have even more armor toughness ….I still get agro “all the time” im a bad guy magnet BUT i do find that i’m very good at running and dodging allot so taking away the damage towards me is a good thing for the group as a whole!

Yeah that build would be a Juggernaut at that level that level of attack and defense.
The build would work great for WvW, PvP & higher level fractal’s where HB is useless

But PVE, Dungeon’s and 1-20 level FOTM Sustained DPS with 100% crit looks to be the best for bosses.

DeathPanel – If he doesn’t have the money and he just go to level 80 with low level items, armor.. The best thing to do is at least deck himself out with level 80 green items before he starts to FARM .. or dungeon run to get the tokens, gold or karma he needs to get exotic stuff! This will not only save many many hours but will also make things so much easier because at least he will have the top level 80 “cheap” gear to start with

Trying to save that 80 Silver is just not worth it if it makes him crippled..

The thing i dont understand with crit damage cs crit chance is that having 100% crit chance 100% of the time gets me almost the same DPS but more often. so in the long run i’m doing more damage vs bosses

14-26k HB on 60%cri 100%crit chance 3100 Armore farming cursed shore, i also get 2500 Damage on my single GS swings every time and massive damage on my Rifle all while an effective Effective Power of 4500.

Thats a really nice build but when the thing your fighting isn’t stunned your crit chance drops to 22% .. that’s really bad! your whole build requires your foe to be stunned otherwise it is a low/Midrange DPS tank build. given your attacks crit only 22% of the time

Just make do with a simple infusion for now,
They make changes about once a week.. as they also move around ore nodes on the map each week!
You can use the same stats for rings or earings.. just get one that’s offensive and one that defensive. no big deal!

I’ve made some changes to the build, Excluding food buffs as i don’t always use them.
I think this ones the overall best thing to use for PVE, WvW and FOTM

Thank’s yeah I’m still at lower a level and its not that hard.. heard only DPS is required once you get to high up levels. The reason I’m not going multi builds is because of Ascended.. and my DPS doesn’t change much from a larger crit damage and small chance to a larger chance and smaller crit damage. I guess you cant have toughness and full damage at the same time. I think once i get to high up levels i can always put in 10,20,30,0,0,0 for the added damage. I’ve also tried to save gold going for lesser sigil’s and orbs vs runes.. this game does chew up the money as fast as you make it if your not farming!

If you can afford it you can get all Exotic Endgame gear right now! but if your a normal player who has only a few gold saved up after reaching level 80 then
The best thing to do is grab a full set of level 80 Masterwork (Green) items or even Rare (Yellow) if you can afford it. Weapons, Armor and trinkets along with some crystal orbs for the upgrades. Then over time once you start making some extra gold you can start to replace each part with an Exotic (Orange) and Ascended (Pink) along with the Superior rune of your liking slotted on ( orbs are still a great inexpensive alternative to runes that even give more stats ) Legendary weapons hav no stat bonus VS Exotic, Ascended so its mostly just a skin for the looks only!

Unlike WOW there is no restriction on GW2.. you can jump to the best thing from the get go if you want. ( Ascended items are hard to get and can take time though)

You can also buy a full set of Level 80 Exotic (Orange) armor from Karma Venders for 42k Karma each at “uncontested” (open) temple’s in Straits of Devastation, Malchor’s Leap and Cursed shore. You will need to jump around to each temple to find the stat combo you like .. i had to go to 2 temples to the get Power, Toughness, Vitality armor i wanted … always ignore the runes attached because they can always be replaced.. its only the base stats you should be looking at whenever buying karma armor. Superior runes & orbs can be mixed around and changed anytime. Base stats can not be! Unless you spend allot of gold on level 80 Transmutation stones and buying new armor with the stats you do want.

Oh and you can also get L80 exotic Dungeon armor & weapons for the corresponding Dungeon Tokens. The venders are located at Lions arch near the laurel vender and FOTM portal.

This chart should help you out a little to see what the jump in stats are from each tire item..

This is my current level 80 build that i use for PVE, WvW, Fractal, Dungeon’s and everyday fun.
I only really change around skills and food buffs when required but that’s about it. Any ideas on what i could change to improve this in any way?
I do a good amount of DPS and still have over 3100 Toughness but always open to improvements. At the moment I’m only on level 20 fractal so not sure if this will be good or not for higher up levels.

The above build is great but if your going a glass cannon why not go all out and grab something like this build ?

Going by how this game is turning out
It will take over 3 months to get the two earnings

It will take about 3-4 years doing dailies plus whatever crazy amount of gold required to get the Ascended armor and weapons!

This is turning into a joke really!

GIVE ME MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRREEEEE … its not a real game until it has 24,503 currencies.. 100 times more then planet earth’s nations combined

PS: you also forgot that Ecto’s are now a Currency that you need to use to purchase an ascended accessory along with laurels

Yes this is a good way to get people out into the world! more loot is not what i’m worried about.. its one of the many good changes that have been made

You can show your support by buying in game gems…!

But I’m not sure you’ll be very happy in the long run.
Granted GW2 " OVERALL" is a great game but with allot of these recent updates has changed from Play the WAY you want to play to play the way we bloody well tell you too or you will NOT get any REWARDS! full stop
That is the reason so many people here are annoyed.
To put the cherry on top, its looking like an inevitable expansion pack will introduce a new level cap that will make "everything you’ve played the way Anet has forced you to play to acquire (Best End Gear) useless and you must now repeat it all over again ( this wouldnt be too much of a problem if WE were allowed to play and acquire that new Level 100 Ascended item HOW WE WANT TOO )

This all reminds me of the days videogames used to be on RAILS.. you could only go forward and NO you can not have Freedome to do your own thing.

I’ve been playing games for over 25 years and i’ve always liked my freedome to play how i want too.

And yes.. i guess i can still do that so long as I’m happy to stay on a level of Armor that will be 1 Tire below everyone else !!! I’m not a fan of disadvantage no matter how small

I have a Guardian’s and Warrior… for pure Damage the Warrior is great but the Guardian’s is good for both damage and defense

At the end of the day i think “everyone” shouldn’t have much trouble finishing all of them. in the 1 month we have

Heck .. a few run of the Fractal would have the kill veterans tab completed.

Can you do it with cooking? level 80 food?

Out of 8 runs i have got 4 rings.. one thing ive figured out is that if you get a ring at level 10.. you will get another one at 12.. (your odds of another ring at 10 are VERY low) if if its the next day.. you get the most reward from doing new fractals not redoing the same level
