We had just as many in our LA today waiting for WvW to reset.

We use it as a place to gather and plan where each guild is going and to have fun.

I don’t see the purpose of this post.

I need this badly. Can’t seem to get it on Darkhaven.

Maybe we can use this post as an ongoing thread for servers doing Hydra Queen or have it currently.

Investing money in items before a patch.

I knew this but did it anyway. Most likely going to take a 50% loss on my investing gold.

Really pisses me off too, I was close to buying the lover. Last thing I need for dreamer…

Party chat also gets deleted when you are kicked. Imo it prevents verbal abuse toward other players.

Cant tell you how many times ive been bootes before maw or a final boss for nothing and wanted to give someone in that party a piece of my mind but couldnt.

I built a brand new cpu.

I have 21 fps during events like this. Skills don’t work. I do manage to get enough auto attacks off to get credit.

Its not going back to the old way. This is the new camp events. A month from now these wps will be perma contested and no one will be around.

Same thing happened to Plinx now. All he does is stand there all day til someone who knows nothing about it says “event up by R and D”. RIP Plinx.

Also there was more outrage and people quitting when Plinx was nerfed and guess what?

Do they reset by tier or all at once?

They are and thats what I want. But their are other aspects to this that need to be account wide.

Example getting the carry more supply buff. Or the more permanent skills and abilities.

Which will be unlocked with World Exp Gains and that is what I want account wide.

It hasn’t really been said which way it will go. But in my opinion however they do the rank progression in WvW, it should be account bound not character bound.

The over prestige level should be account. If you do it character bound you force people to pick a main hero for wvw and stick with it. Becoming very alt unfriendly.

For example. I am a commander on our server, if there are a few commanders on each map I will elect to follow them on my alt thief because I can do more for the group and honestly my tag isnt needed.

This is just one example. Everyone knows each class has a different purpose in WvW. On a daily basis I find myself using 2-3 different alts in WvW. It may not be true for the casual WvWer but for some it is.

Abilities and skils will differ imo. Idk how this would work unless you apply world exp gained to every hero. I can live with this being character bound.

Easier way of saying this would be: do it the same way achievement titles work. Any hero thats on the account can wear that title. Because apparently we will rank up and while doing so get more titles.

This is my opinion. They might be doing it this way already. But if Anet isn’t, this is a plea to change that.

And I lag in open world. Skills are delayed. 2 weeks ago this never happened.

Laurels & gold ?

Laurel conversion to siege is a joke. Ill burn through 2-3 dailies worth of laurels to take one fortified tower.

Completely missing the point here. PvE is NOT WvW.

Guild Missions reward players with up to 50 silvers, so I don’t see how that’s much of a gold sink either. lol

As far as I can tell, the only thing this patch did to encourage more gold-spending is by making unlocking Guild Missions cost a ton of influence. So, guilds may be motivated to buy influence with gold.

That and you have to spend gold with guild commendations to get earrings.

How don’t mat sinks reduce inflation? If im to lazy to farm and burn 300g in mats for a legendary thats one hell of a sink.

What you stated above actually helps stop sny inflation before it happens.

More mat and gold sinks the better.

Think about these Guild Missions. They require you to move all over the world. Full guilds of people 500+ burning silver with way point costs.

Any armor or weapons you have that are race bound, how will they be converted? Completed story lines. Mail from you destinies edge companion.

The list goes on. If it was gonna happen it would have been part of the total makeover kit.

Ive been thinking this for a few weeks now. WvW needs its own daily category.

PvE and PvP have their own and they are geared toward them.

WvW dailies can reward players with siege and badges as a reward instead of karma and coins.

Tasks can include:

Camps flips
Control Point Flips
Supplies Used
Players Killed
NPC Kills
Damage Done To Siege
Enemies Repelled / Defense
Tower / Keep Captures
Events

If you have more ideas as to what daily items can include feel free. Rewards are fair and geared toward WvW. I think its a great idea!

Of course this will work the same for a monthly catagory as well!

I think some of you miss my point.

I don’t mind better loot

I do mind if great loot comes from events as easy as this.

If you’re going to increase loot this much, at least make it challenging, not be able to afk-zerg it in a minute.

I don’t mind dungeons, fractals, or Guild Missions giving out good loot. They are difficult and takes time (Except CoF 1).

But world events? No way. They are too easy. Again, at least make them HARD if you’re gonna guarentee rares.

The big point you’re now missing is, in this game hard doesn’t exsist, only massive health pools.

Wont work in WvW either im assuming.

I like the ability to chose which dailies I want to do. But I do wish the ones you listed above could still be part of the choices.

Dailies are about things you do on a daily basis. They shouldn’t be about forcing you to change how you spend time in the game.

Also there should be a WvW Daily just like pve and pvp have their own.

If you help a guild complete its guild mission will you receive the rewards they do? Items and commendations?

Or will you receive a different reward or none at all?

What requirements during the mission itself will you need to meet to trigger the reward for yourself?

Those of us who frequent world bosses such as Jormag, Teq, Shatterer, etc know about the great dragon timer site.

My question is now that those chests have been limited to once a day can we have some sort of official server event timer?

We are only able to do it once a day so the potential for abuse is non exsistent. Also, since it would be official in game there would be more pin point accuracy as to when they will spawn. Instead of relying on other people resetting timers.

Great idea instead of parking 80s or wasting time waiting on a hour and a half spawn time window.

I hate ti say this but I believe they give you freedom of choice as to what class you want to pick. But one way or another you will be forcee into what they want you to do and what to play.

And that class is not the ranger.

I dont understand why they would use Ecto? Its just going to raise the price in the long run. Should have used a different crafting mat that was sold for near vendor price.

Reason for this: they are going to let us use achievement points to obtain items and other things in the future. Enjoy the 13th currency type Guild Wars has to offer!

The rest of us would like the hundreds of bugs and issues fixed with the game as it stands now before we get expansions dumped on us.

Ya this story is so slow that I didnt even bother doing it and I most likely never will. Same thing with the Wintersday, it was just so boring.

Also agree it should have been a new dragon!

Everything that is available via laurel vendor should be available via badge vendor.

Fractal gear should be obtainable with dungeon tokens as well. There is just no way the current system can remaim this way.

I think the core issue with ascended gear is that it’s not available through crafting professions, dungeons or WvW. I doubt there would be half the complaints if all of the ascended pieces weren’t only available from very specific PvE content and the only other option to get them was just stupid.

And since some random Joe is gonna come here and complain about non constructive whining, here’s some suggestions:

- Add Ascended to craftables NOW. Not after 5 months.

- Add Ascended accessories to dungeons. Amulet 500 tokens, Backpiece 500 tokens, rings 250 tokens/one and earrings 200 tokens/one seems like pretty fair conversion rate.

- Add Ascended accessories to WvW NOW. Not soon™. (Okay, this might be covered by March patch). Also don’t make the badge prices stupid.

- Add Ascended items to world drops.

- Make Ascended items always be account bound so I can at least use the same piece on all my characters instead of having to grind a year (yes, I acctually counted) to get all my characters ONE stat set.

- Give me the ability to do daily and earn laurel with all my lvl x+ toons. Make it so that anyone can do one daily/account. But if you have 5 lvl 80s you can earn a laurel with each of them. There’s no reason why gearing up multiple toons should take more time than gearing up one. (Do note that I’m still willing to work 5x more than a person with only one character.)

- Decide and make a very public announcement of what you want from your game. Before release you gave the impression that maxing stats was easy and progression would mainly be about pretty skins. Now you have added ascended that has higher stats than other types of gear, yet you haven’t added any MF recipe pretty skins.

The purpose of this post is to hopefully open the eyes of the developers of this game to see the flaw which ascended gear has become. I am not asking for complete removal but for some changes to be made.

Fractals of the Mist and Ascended Gear:

One would think that the two would go hand and hand. Everything started great and I believe the community as a whole would agree that FoTM was sweet. RNG is RNG and that was our way of getting rings from the maw chest. They subsequently are account bound so you can use the ring you find on any hero. Great!

Then came the weapon skins which was an awesome add on. All obtainable from FoTM.

Then out of nowhere obtaining new ascended gear lost the focus of what it really was about. FoTM the dungeon and AR. Now instead of dealing with the RNG of a chest to obtain my amulet, I have to grind for a month straight doing something that has nothing to do with FoTM. And on top of that gain no additional AR to complete higher level FoTM.

RNG in a higher tier FoTM would been a beter option for amulets but we will let it slide.

Now WHAM Guild Wars players. HOW ABOUT YOU GRIND 60 DAYS WORTH OF DAILIES FOR THE EARRINGS YOU WANT! Or do some guild activities which have NOTHING WHAT SO EVER to do with FoTM. Again RNG in a higher level FoTM would have been ideal for the accessory.

TL DR Version:

Ascended gear has completely lost all focus and its original meaning.

We cannot even grind RNG to get full Ascended gear for our alts, let alone our main. We have to watch day by day as we gain one extra laurel.

Ascended gear implemented thus far and in the future should have one main focus only and that is for additional AR. Extras stats simply a bonus.

Ascended gear should also be obtainable in tje dungeon it was made for. Who even came up with the idea to not have it this way? Fire him.

Ascended accessories should cost 10 laurels max. ANET you realize thats 60 days worth of dailies and 100 ecto for 2 freakin earrings?

Looking at this from the outside in I cannot figure out how or why its even gotten to this point? Devs read this because you need to. Feel free to email me in game with an extended offer to join your team and help make this game better.

Any additional comments on how to save this system are appreciated. Thanks!

Never was I once able to put my finger on what was goin on here. But as I followed you sentence to sentence I felt the weight of everything I need to do in game come crashing done.

Maybe not so dramatic but wow does this sum it up.

Im also going to add that for the first time today I watched several people literally quit and give everything they had away. We’ve all seen the posts but I witnessed first hand someone pack up and say screw it this isnt what I signed up for.

It is really that bad.

Loot is all sorts of messed up. Porous bones are back in full force.

The champs come with 5 people in the event. Sometimes they spawn with less then a minute to go and disappear and drop nothing when the event ends.

Im a warrior with gs and dual axes during these events and ill hammer on a vet the second he spawns until he dies and guess what? THEY STILL DROP NOTHING! If you do manage to get a drop its a blue or even worse salvaging items and porous bones.

Im really starting to get turned off with gw2 because of all this. The last farm spot we had. And all the issues with bugs and loot tables and how they cannot fix thwm.

Man I love this game but gosh this is getting sooooo olllddddddd.

You guys are probably going to get banned for this.

Well since the camp events in cursed shore were super popular and a lot of people farmed there and it was worth while, it was nerfed.

Now the patch has only been out for a few hours but its already very apparent that something is out of place here.

My guild is out here with me and we’re all getting the same results. First lets look at the way the event works.

Both camps are now flooded and I mean flooded with vets and champs alike, spawning with almost every mob group. This is fine and all, but wasn’t some scaling supposed to go on now? I was just 4-5 of us at one even. 3 waves later we wiped when the cavalry arrived.

Secondly, some of the champs that are spawning don’t come until the last 30 seconds of the event. 30 seconds to kill a champion? Well you’d need 10+ with full dps to achieve that, so he falls to the ground and drops nothing or disappears.

The champs and vets drop tables are still broken. They sometimes even drop porous bones and level 76 salvage items, its insane! It doesn’t matter how long the patch has been out this should never be happening now. I thought they were blue or high guarantee? I don’t want an exo every time, a rare here and there would be nice. But under level green bows do not constitute an increased drop rate. I’ll be the first to say its not working.

Then if you look at the normal mob drops. Yes there is still the t6 and t5 mats that drop regularly. But the rest of what their spitting out is borderline kitten. Level 70 salvage mats and white items. Blues here and there. I feel odd being out here now, you can see the change almost instantly.

All I want to know is, was this intended? We all know after 5 months that Anet will nerf anything that people enjoy and make money off. But come on now, this was really THE LAST PLACE WE HAD.

INB4 ppl flame and say its too early.

I have no problems with this fight on any of my characters.

Wipe are few a far between even with pugs. Fight is not broken.

Sorry but work on dodging or dont build glass cannons?
