I know about the strights and the centaur bridge in kessex hills.
Are there any other fast event chains and where do they start?

Northern Gendaren fields you can bounce between the centaur rock hound event, kill 2 veteran event, defend the town(name escapes me but its west of the 2 veterans), and another event to the far west to kill a champion+2 vets.

Norther Harathi centaur event(4 event chain with ~10-15 minute downtime after) absolutely tons of kills for loot and xp. It cannot be soloed.You can then take the southern waypoint and there is a camp there that gets attacked every 5 minutes or so.

Southern Bloodtide there is an event to defend the camp from risen followed by an escort(you need to start it) to get some eggs. ~5 minute downtime iirc after escort then the defend event starts again.

Southern Sparkfly at the dragon area there is a krait event that happens very often and an event to defend a gorge that happens often as well.

Those are the ones I know of off the top of my head. Populations are dwindling though so some might be harder than others depending on a class.

Is this the centaur king event where you have to defend camos. Kill the giant pets, then kill the earth element and the king?

I did this event 2 times at a lower level and im wondering if its worth returning to?

Do the events in lower level areas drop gear at level 80 stats? And is the karma about 370 per completed event?

Im trying to find an area I can mf rares then break down to ecto while farming karma. I just dont know where to do it. The more the merrier.

Hands down my favorite thing about MMOs is magic finding. Hitting big mobs and bosses in hope of that one amazing drop.

So the best thing about the event in LA is:

They only take condition damage.

No one can cast anything correctly, have to spam then skill for about 30 seconds for anything to work.

Well me and a group of about 10 people just did the Arah event.

Banners, food and full MF gear.

Took us 45+ mins to do this event.

Gained about 900 Karma. 25+ Porous Bones and unlimited blues.

45 minutes of game play and I’m done for the day. Thank you for taking Plinx.

Upset. Its very upsetting to know what the requirements are for legendaries, then to follow up with a nerf on one of the most fun and rewarding event chains you have to offer. Plinx. Might have had it with nerfing the fun outta guild wars 2.

Wait … Plinx was fun? Have I missed something?
For me, it was the most tediously repetitive grind imaginable following one guy around spamming auto-attack to get a few hits in before things died.
Sure, you get decent rewards, which was why people did it, but it was not even slightly fun.

Money and Karma gain = fun.

Put it this way. Before I begun my Plinx journey I was level 80 with rare weapons and armor. Masterwork trinkets. All basic power precision crap.

After I worked the magic Plinx really was, I had a full exotic mf set with rare trinkets and sigils of luck in exotic weapons. I have 2 set have pvp gear all exotics. Several different weapon sets all exotics. All exotic trinkets.

Not to metion several stacks of ori, mith, dusts, ancient bones, enough hard and regular leathers to supply darkhaven, silk and goss. In top if that almost 100 ectos and 50+ gold.

This may seem like nothing to some people. But the last few weeks I have been so into gw its insane. All becuz farminf this event has allowed me to get gear I would have nevrr gotten.

I have a son, wife and dog. Full time job with mandatory weekends. A harley and a truck with monthly payments. My only hobby is MMOs. Farming Plinx may seem annoying to some but not to me. Im sad to see it go.

Plinx was a Bot haven, this nerf isn’t surprising at all.

Personally i think its a good thing anyway, this game is huge go find something else to do other than one event chain over and over again. Event farmers are the reason Orr is so unenjoyable because no one ever gets to take part in the events as they were intended.

plinx gave us something to do. A fun and very rewarding something to do. I logged on to this nerf and had absolutely nothing to do.

I tried the tunnel events. Wow I sat there forever hitting the 3 random mobs at the door only to drop porous bones with a full mf set.

Went to give plinx another shot. Stood there for 20 kitten minutes emoting with other upset players with nothing to do.

Grind dungeons? Please.

Punish real life players becuz bots frequented that area? GET REAL.

Ban bots and let us enjoy the one thing worth while for level 80s.

This nerf really messed things up. If I continue ti be this bored playing, my time left in thisgame is limited.

I don’t know what the solution is but having 50-60 invisible culled people killing mobs within half a second of when they spawn at pre-determined locations that are being bombarded with AOE damage in anticipation of when the mobs spawn is just awful gameplay. There is nothing remotely epic about it. Right now arriving in Orr is a massive shock for a new player who is used to a game that is actually a game not whack-a-risen.

They need to find some way to incentivize people to spread out over the whole map instead of just farming 1-2 events over and over. Diminishing returns by event would make sense, as well as a stacked karma bonus for completing different events within a given time period. I.e. a +10% karma gain for each unique event finished within a 1 hour period.

My guess is that the Plinx farm route will be extended to include more surrounding events now, perhaps the infamous tunnel camps defense and further away, escort mission more camp defense, then back to Plinx.

Just give it a couple of days and your local farmers will have an optimised route figured.

Farming is necessary in the game, either for gold, tokens or karma… but they just made it a bit more difficult because they want you to hang around a bit longer.

This Plinx nerf was a bad one. I usually back most of what they do but come on…this was the only big farm event we had…

Same here. It was downloading the update and just stayed at 0% complete so i restarted and now i can’t even get it to start to log in. Just says connection errors.

If you manage to get to the downloading screen, even if it says 0% and remains there for some time, do not click out and try to restart. They update will start to download as soon as it can.

I waited a few minutes then mine started up. Best non-Dev advice I can give anyone.

There’s ways that let people you know you’r not a bot. Occasionally typing something in “say” and using commands like /dance while waiting for plinx to respawn are fairly good indicators.

You honestly think that bots cant, in random intervals, emote or dance while farming stuff? Not a good method.

I average 3-5 rares per plinx run. Tag everything. Food and banners. Big time karma and loot.

Personally, even though it seems like you dont want to go this route, warrior is the best class to farm with.

All rare mf gear with power, precision and MF. I use the 2 exotice Orrian MF axes with the luck sigils inside. Reasons being:

Power precision kills things way faster the cd.

Axe/Axe has 3 great farming utilities. 3 can give you range to get a hit on a far away enemy about to die. 2 is amazing for grouped up enemies and 5 is best of all when you have to move and slice at the same time.

If you farm alone you will kill things faster.

If you go down and lose your luck boost, you only have to kill 13 enemies to refill it because you have 1 sigil per hand.

Also the warrior has swiftness buffs in skills.

In my opinion its the only way to go. With full mf gear, food and the guild boost I drop on average 3-5 rares per plinx run. As well as crafting mats up the wazoo. I have to carry multiple salvage kits to make it thru one run.

Well of course bots work the TP. If played correctly its the number one way to make money.

Also bans arent instant. It takes time. Be patient and keep at it.

There’s been this sort of mismatch at different times and different levels for a while. Last time I looked tier 5 mats were cheaper than tier 4. This is because T5 mats are very common in the most highly farmed areas of the game, but people don’t farm the areas that drop T4 much at all. Those zones are almost empty on my server. It very well could just be supply and demand.

Again no. No matter what angle you look at it, thr game as it stands now does not use it enough ti skyrocket the price.

So there will most likely be vistas, poi’s and heart quests on the map you will have the chance to experience.

How will it effect those who already have 100% explored? Its obvious that everything on the map will be added to total completion to those who dont have 100%, but what about the rest of us?

I’m pretty sure they were making up a random number but they could be playing the Gem markets, buying Gems(for gold) at their lowest price and selling the Gems(for gold) when the price was higher. Basically buy low, sell high; I’ve turned 3g into 7g or 8g by doing the same.

Edit: Just be careful when doing this, its a RISK but if you do it right, the reward outweighs the risk.

WvW is extremely rewarding in itself. Ive personally never had this much fun pvping on any MMO ive played.

Op if u want badges and siege eq, do the jumping puzzles which reward you with that.

When your server gets the item drop boost go magic find for awhile and you will reap the rewards of WvW yet again.

Sure a title would be nice or a detailed match history with big break downs would be cool.

All in all I enjoy wvw.
