That karma fight event I disconnected from 3 times and still haven’t gotten a thing.

Anet said in the November 15th patch thats harder mobs like champs and vets will always drop better items now.

Mine still drop blues and nothing.

Isnt it an odd feeling when your groul finally takes it down and run to the corpse to find nothing dropped? Its so…weird.

My favorite part of any game is farming. Treasure seeking. But to have literally release an event with a chest that dropped one item worth more then all my farming efforts is devastating.

Ugh I still feel bad about it.

They wanted to effect the price of precursors but when doing that and adding new gear with bug requirements, it sent z shockwaves thru the rest of the market.

Putting precursors in a one time event chest was a horrible idea. Which has lead directly to prices where they stand today.

The EXACT same thing is happening to me. It took a whole month of farming for me to get four rares above level 70, I used the BLTC salvage kits NONE of them gave me an ecto…this is absolutely unacceptable.

And what happened to vets/champs dropping better items, hmm? where’d that go?

Hopefully it hasnt been implemented yet. Lol

Strangely enough. A small amount of gamers get involved with the forum community.

But the forum community is hands down the most caring group of gamers there is. Now there will always be a majority and minority opinion but the people who post here are trying to help Anet make better decisions because they want to be loyal and finally turn the page on classic mmos.

And these are some of those opinions:

The gear treadmill has not begun guys. Its how long since the release? This was an idea they had long ago. And I believe its fine. If they do another gear release in 2 months server load will decrease. In a year? Id be more then happy for some new gear.

Now the nerfing has to stop. Especially on events and drops. People love the idea of dynamic events (no not one time heres a precursor weekend event). Increase the frequency and add more to every map, we love them!

Also, will it kill you, Anet, to increase the drops? A lot of people love treasure hunting. Hell, its built into us since we were kids. Taking it away is a bad idea. Not matter how much u nerf it, in the long run things will drop in price as supply goes up. So give us our fun back!!!

The next issue is, end game needs to be centered around WvW. There are a lot of flaws in the system. Server speed needs ti be increased. Matching lasts a full week. So when you pair up a T2 server vs T3s. You have a ton of people not having any fun. Theives being able to hold down supply camps with perma stealth needs fixing. Just bad mechanics.

Lastly, Anet, please focus more in fixing and improving the class system. There are kinks and bugs all over the place. I love the idea that there is no superior race in a profession and all is balanced. Just troll the class forums and watch our reports on big time problems, we will keep you informed.

Again, please dont stray too far from the original ideas you had. It was enough to make us give it a try and we want to commit. Thank you thus far for making a game I love playing.

I made a post about it which was locked.

They claimed to have buffed the drop rates for us because of mass complaining.

I have experienced the complete opposite. Cursed Shore and other level 80 areas are ghost towns compared to what they used to be.

The rate was nerfed again. All you will find there, sadly, is porous bones my friend.

The dc came at random times in several stages of the event. The post is so vague.

Took part in this kitten event. Made almost to what I understand to be the end.

Disconnected.

Went to another overflow to find them on the beach. Almost 3 hours of wasted time to get booted.

On top of that people got precursors? And I get booted.

Anet has 24 hoursnto rectify this or I will process a refund.

Yes after hours talking to old Gw1 Gwamm friend in vent last night, who stopped playing a few weeks ago, l’m thinking the frustration level is reaching a peak too.
Bored with levelling alts over the same grind cause l hate Orr drops, Dragon drops that don’t cover cost to travel there, porous bones and the same boring mobs over and over. So sick of OP risen maniacs on speed with spectral grasp and insane aggro ranges.
Not interested in doing OP dungeons, armor repairs and broken events when so much content is still broken since release so yeah, glad l’ve plenty happening in RL to keep busy. I’m playing less and less every day.

The Orr area has pissed me off like no game before. It’s kitten, plain and simple. I’ve been trying to access a skill point for over an hour now. I keep getting killed by endless piles of risen. You can’t take it step by step, you can’t rush, you can’t ninja. It’s impossible.
That’s just my problem though. We can start talking about how NO ONE wants to play there. I haven’t seen ONE player yet and I’ve been clearing 40% of malchors. It’s tedious, boring and anti-fun.

The reason you haven’t seen one player is because they nerfed the dog kitten outta Orr to the point of no return. No one even goes there anymore, only people who dont know about it, still asking why it takes so long for Plinx to spawn.

the time I did do Shelter’s Gate after the patch there were significantly less mobs attacking the base. Maybe a random fluke but we know how ANet likes to nerf profitable things.

And 2 months from now if it continues we’ll be reading about how it made them bankrupt.

Anet killed all farming. The price of Ectos is going nowhere but up. No one is finding large amounts of rares to break down into Ecto.

I really don’t care what they claimed they did, but the drops are not better at all, maybe worse.

I’m running a full MF setup with sigils, food and banners. Vets and Champions everywhere are dropping absolutely NOTHING. I mean nothing.

Likewise with other normal mobs around any map.

Ive tried all of Orr, Frostgorge and Fireheart thus far and its the same thing everywhere. Mats and blue items.

Why the hell would Anet nerf this game into the ground? I mean W T F are these people thinking? Do they honestly believe this is good for the game?

I’m going to give it another week for them to get their heads outta the dirt and do something to improve this game instead of releasing poor bugged out one time events.

P. S. Anywhere you see porous bones dropping at a high rate has been stealth nerfed or has been nerfed in the past to reduce drops. Move on from these areas as you will find nothing.

I managed to interact with all the npcs that gave out the items, yet I have no idea what to do with them. Just sitting in my inventory.

How do I convert these into the backpeice everyone is taking about? Or what the hell do I do with them?

Everyone was hoping for gg farming and karma events we could run on a new map and vs new enemies.

As far as drops increasing, I run a ful exotic set with sigils, guild buffs and food. Never changing. I have seen nothing to prove this. My belief is it was a bluff to make us believe they have buffed something instead of nerfing it. Because I think they know we are tired of nerfing and that plinx was a huge blow for people who just enjoy farming.

Get the act together before its too late. An MMO is about player enjoyment, not strict guidelines on producing in your eyes the perfect game.

There are a few maps that people hate mostly because of the enemies and respawns. This is one of those maps. Havent been back to it since I got 100%. Not planning on it either lol.

Thus far all they have done is nerf.

Buffing = increased playing time, happy players which in turn means more people buying gems. Which means more profit. Not that hard of a concept is it?

Nerfing = complaining, anger “customers”, and a lack of interest in spending real money.

I have worked ovettime all week and weekend. I was planning a week ago to buy a bunch of gems and get some stuff to show some appreciation to Anet for all the free content (yes I was grateful). Friday when I got my $1100 paycheck nothing went to Anet cuz I am pissed.

Said event is across the map. Spend 3s in wp costs or walk thru super aggressive and cc heavy mobs and get there when the event is over.

Contested wps kill map travel for getting to events. Orr is already a ghost town.

Honestly, I’m not sure with the new rules. You’d probably have to test it. They stated 55+ events should now allow you to get level 80 gear so perhaps level 42 events can still get you level 70 gear? You’re not going to get 300+ karma I don’t think though.

You’re going to be hard pressed to find a chain of events with more mob kills that runs that regularly though. I mean on my ele that I’m leveling I regularly come out with 40-50 centaur bags alone. If level 42 stuff does drop 70+ loot then that’s probably one of the best events for farming rares.

Along with almost everything thag happened with the last patch left me with a very bad taste in my mouth.

The Halloween one time event was the same. I saw an explosion and a black hole. Woke up just to have the Mad King glitch.

I let by gones be by gones and gave it a shot today only to be let down once again.

Are they ready for it? No.

Is it a cool idea? Yes.

Should they fix the current in game issues before spamming events just to mske money? Hell yes.

Quality over quantity has never been more true.

Couldn’t agree with the OP more. Been kicking kitten in Orr and getting tons of drops and I felt it was time well spent.

November 15th hit and its been nothing but porous bone fest since. I have the same setup, buffs and food pre patch. So dont tell me its bad luck.

Why in the world would a MMO company destroy farming we as players want or nerf drop rates Is beyond me.

If you dont like farming dont do it. I love farming for that chance my MF will drop that awesome item. I play for loot and coin. To me thats progress snd someday all my farming that I chose to do would give me a legendary.

Me and OP have the same issue. I work third shift 10 hour days and the weekend. I dont have hours on end to dump into the game.

I enjoyed logging on for a few hours a day and magic finding.

So thanks again ti Anet for taking away what I enjoy. Amazing.

So I tried to do the plinx farm runs for my first time ever yesterday, but I noticed there were at least 30-50 people there and most mobs were dead before the game finished loading the character model of the mobs. Even champion monsters usually died in about 30 seconds.
So please make the health of event monsters scale better. With so many people around everything needs at least 10 times as much health to make a noticeable difference.

If you want to be taken seriously to not resort to extreme exaggeration methods. We have all been to that event and it doesnt happen.

Brood mother, arena and abom all take a long time to kill. Also every time mobs spawn I can take all of them unless im way outta position.

So try working in position and what skills and class are you attempting this with?
