None of our main WvW guilds are transfering to Kaineg.. I’m a good source.

The funny thing is, you aren’t even on one of the main guilds in your server. And i don’t think you can call yourself a reliable source since you can’t even spell your server name right.

As for my other posts. Trying to make a point on how easy it is to come up with rumors. Please refrain from it, especially with no names, or any proof. You may say my guild isn’t one of the major guilds on BG. Being on BG for about a month now can do that. But don’t come into the forums especially being from a respectable guild as Hel and start spouting crap. but to clraify my post quoted was full of sarcasm, and to say im not reliable by not being from a major guild on BG was the alittle off the path i was going there. No one is a reliable source on the forums. it’s to easy to manipulate things.

In more interesting News, I heard the TC Doylak Parade was moving to Blackgate and Smokee will be the Grand Master leading the Parade. I have two unknown sources that have verified through a friend of a friend.

Congrats to JQ on the win for this week. Pulled out a great comeback to the new T1 server. Looks like BG will still be the underdogs. Poked plenty of holes in our coverage. Gaining 7 guilds during NA time definitely helped but at the same time thats SOR strong point. And the 2 during Oceanic made big improvements at that time slot. But once again congrats, ya’ll must of had one helluva time climbing back up. Almost makes me want to be on JQ during that climb. Almost. Get ready for round 2!!

Interesting morning where i saw Jade Quarry doing some very unsportsmanlike things.
I myself am simply a solo SoR thief, and was minding my own business between east supply and Hills. I make my way down the back valley towards Hills where i saw a JQ zerg all stacked up under the Vista of the BG owned Keep.

I thought, oh cool im gonna watch this, so stayed back watching and saw the commander was in PRX, and then saw a mesmer jump from above to teleport them in, i didnt catch the mesmer’s tag. I looked up and saw a bunch of BG at the top where the mesmer jumped from, it was the guild HB. The Mesmer died on his fall, which was funny.

The HB crew then went from sight, maybe to engage the JQ below, and the PRX zerg rezzed up the fallen Mesmer. The mesmer then jumps UP the cliff to the Vista and ports the whole PRX zerg up to the top. If i knew what they were doing i would have turned Fraps on.
Very bad PRX, very bad.

Then, about 20 minutes later im walking past hills again and see that its open, so i pop inside for a look around and see FOO outside the Lords room. This was pretty fun to watch until i saw exactly what they were doing. They had an arrow cart to the left of the lord room, and when i say left i dont mean just to the left so he can still view the doorway, i mean way left towards the supply hut. The guy is standing there firing his arrow cart INTO the lord room, obviously killing all the seige that was inside before they rolled in and killed HB.

So, if you win this game JQ, i would like to say grats but unfortunately i can’t as i now do not know exactly how many of those points you have cheated your way to.

Is this how JQ wants to win? They want it this bad? While calling out one or two guilds doesn’t represent the server, most would say these guilds represent JQ.

Pinot you were one of my great friends in Blackgate but no one can deny that our first trip to T1 people stopped joining. Our 2nd trip… I stopped joining because people didn’t listen to a word I said (which is why I joined a new server). Blackgate is a hell of a good server, but they have their weaknesses.

I say this because it’s truth – SoR DOES have the best NA primetime in the game. I went to SoR because I was told this was the destination of the “core members” that left the guild. I went on, talked to people, and didn’t look back. Everyone else did and made their own guild. That is why I joined SoR (to those on Blackgate wondering). I don’t have any regrets.

People showed up way more often in T2 than they did in T1. A lot of people on Blackgate did give up. After the first matchup in T1 against JQ and SBI, in which we had the lead and everyone called us Hackgate, I felt pretty abandoned. Then we fight SoR and IoJ… and people show up and we once again have queues.

There are of course the players like you, and some of the guilds like HB, Icoa, and KnT that showed up constantly and put their hearts out. But overall, I’d say that Blackgate isn’t notorious for showing up day in and day out fighting. There are of course the members that do, but I felt pretty abandoned by a lot of the server when I was fighting in T1. It’s why I kept saying that we weren’t ready for T1 and if that was the destination than there needed to be changes. People didn’t pay attention so Blackgate went right back down to T2. We fought everyday against SoR for nothing but kitten when we really should have been out there getting ready for T1. Very few did. So I refused to rally to the “call to arms” to fight a fight we didn’t prepare for. Drama happened, and that was the end for me on BG.

Now I stay away from politics but I hear from just about everyone that Blackgate BOUGHT guilds to come to the server and fight. Maybe that’s the future of guild wars, but imo, it’s sickening and makes me glad I left. I wanted to win on Blackgate by being the best, and winning every fight possible. Not because I farmed and paid for undevoted guilds to join in so that JQ wouldn’t win T1 and become “Buygate”.

But I ask you, and everyone that I’ve fought along side with on Blackgate. Do you really think all those people would be there right now filling up the queues if Blackgate wasn’t winning?

The thing about SoR is… and remember this is me being 100% honest… is I see people out there every day. Even people that aren’t WvW fanatics and simply just want to go out and compete. I see them more of the true definition of “never quit”. I see them out there everytime I log WvW. Some pulling long shifts even when they’re the ones telling us that it’s impossible to win. You guys may not like the forum posters “representing” SoR on here, but this server truly does have a great community and cares more about good fights than the drama filled politics.

None of this is to discredit players like yourself and the others that know who they are that are there everyday. A lot of my good friends I left behind. But for a vast majority… I didn’t see them show up when we weren’t winning.

Gotcha. Ya’ll could beat us, came close a few times. But y’all would fall off during the end of the week. Well and before we got a few guilds over the past couple of weeks. A break for ya’ll works wonders and can still learn as y’all fight SoS. Plenty of guilds still there with great tactics.

While yes it is a valid tactic, our guild chooses not to do it as it does create that animosity and creates disrespect for one another. There’s nothing wrong with it, some choose to do it, others don’t.

Please do not judge BG from the posts being made here. Actually on that point, do not judge any server from posts here. Might be hard to do. But BG has picked up a ton of players lately, and probably do not represent what the majority of BG stands for.

I think no one would miss thieves but thieves if they were entirely removed from WvW, much like the culling they use to achieve a 100% stealth rate. XD

Asking thieves + dead mesmers to not try and take back a keep/tower is like asking another server to not bunch up and portal bomb. It has become a play mechanic that uses the crumby culling system to be effective and its a pain in the butt.

In other words, it takes a degree of coordination and a lack of attention from the defending server to be effective. Portal bombs wouldn’t be effective with proper scouting and reporting just like defenders in towers and keep reduces the effectiveness of a dead mesmer / thief combo. Granted preventing this combo from flipping a keep or a garrison is much more personnel intensive.

Basically, it is a part of the stupid buggy mess that is WvW. Thanks anet!

You are right, but WE as the playerbase and also step up and put a stop to it. Now this will not stop players from doing it, but as major guilds that are respected, lets try and go about things so everyone has fun.

Since CnD is not an exploit, it isn’t breaking integrity. There’s a simple way to counter a CND thief…leave some necro traps, or camp the dead bodies, and spam one. In most keeps/towers there are only a limited number of walls that can hit for damage, so just spam your 1 near there, or lay some AoE’s, and you can find the thief nice and fast!

Camping the dead bodies for the 15 minutes it takes for them to despawn? No thank you. I am here asking to make this game fun, not use little “cheap tricks” to bypass they way the game is suppose to be played. We all know it takes Arena Net awhile to fix anything. So I am here asking the player base, more specifically a certain group if we can do that. but judging on the answers doesn’t look like I will get anywhere.

as for the the player we built the ram on, once again something cheap as you were getting rezzed through the gate of inner. So far just TC coming on here saying arena net allows it so therefore we can do it. I understand that. But to make someone sit there and corpse watch for a long period of time is insane. Rez and get back on the field so everyone can have fun.

Cloak and dagger is becoming one of those cheap tricks, like spawn camping with siege, or jumping on a body after your zerg just wiped one player. We know the guild doing it. Any chance of them playing with integrity?

Siege is pretty inexpensive. As a guild we run one night a week through all the jump puzzles. So we get 30+ getting siege. Transmute them all into superior and we have plenty for the following week for all our commanders.

EU I give you, NA? no….you guys got ok NA. I believe WM comes a knockin just fine PST evening most nights.

WM, though awesome, is can’t cover all maps at once – half the time the WM map is full while the others, excluding EB (which always seems to be popular for reasons I will never understand), languish with smaller guilds/pugs trying to hold out/help out. Late evenings on Kain, right before the Oceanic guilds come in, are particularly sparse – I had a fun moment the other day on TC BL trying to hold Hills all by my lonesome with only two other people on the map around 4AM CST (I’m a night owl.) Just trying to explain the situation as stands – no criticism.

I didn’t see the earlier post as qq’ing, btw. I thought it was a compliment to our oceanics, who are awesome.

It wasn’t QQing at all, but to point out KN took the one keep that gets flipped the most, even state it was a bunch of militia against meow and WM was chest thumping. No place for that here.

Well it sounds like your on a server that focuses PvE. Can’t help you there. That server got there cause no one would do WvW. Should try and join another server if you plan on WvW.

I have an issue with the cap radius. lets say you defend your keep with seige placement and you place 5 siege to counter them and thier siege. then they move to another location within the radius and attack there.. well now you cant defend with siege since your siege is still up and within the radius of the new siege you need to place to defend.

First, try spreading your siege our, makes it harder for them to focus the siege down. If you stack them It makes it easier for the enemy to aoe them down. Other points to this, you can rotate siege so when they move just rotate them. Lastly I have never seen a spot where it’s beneficial to stack that much siege in one area to defend. Plenty of wall space, and like I said before it’s better to spread the siege out.

As for the tab targeting, sadly no. Maybe Arena Net could implement something that doesn’t allow you to build siege on top of other siege, shouldn’t be that hard to create the coding.

I wish it were so. But from what ya’ll have done to us, between the 2 servers would still be a gap in coverage. WM is placed perfectly to hit our gap, but that goes the same for our European brothers hitting a gap in Kn’s coverage. Now say Bg and Kn would join, there wouldnt be any gaps.

Ya not going to call out who it is, but the player is from the server close behind us. Trying to make this a fun match and stuff like this just makes this match get thrown out, and gives bad animosity towards everyone. I would like to contact someone from the Kaineng alliance if I could about this and stopping this. Have a feeling that nothing would get done, but please prove me wrong.

Arena net please do something about this. Make flame rams not able to be placed on top of other siege. We have one person going around and doing this to all our siege on all the maps. Not calling anyone out but arena net here.

You tell them! Great match up here, hope this goes on though-out the week. Lots of action, zerg on zerg, solo, ninja parties, really, no regrets coming to T2. Also its great how despite how intense the action is, people are still very much decent. I got killed in a water fight against some BGs, it was a pretty tough fight, still they bowed afterwards. Imagine that, I fully expected my corpse to be danced on after giving them a hard time. Thanks for the great fights and the civility guys. What would it take to get permanent residence here?

What scores are you looking at? Do you mean Sorrow’s Furnace? If you read the top of the WvW matchup score website it says that this is based off of the old scoring system. Arena Net has not released the new scoring system and therefore it’s wrong.

I started reading a few posts about it and didn’t see one in the bug forum. This is definitely an issue as it affects a few hundred players a day. Hopefully by the silence from Arena Net means they are working on it. It makes WvW very lopsided for which ever server gets affected by it the most.

It seems there is a bug when someone leaves it leaves a ghost imprint showing the player is still in there stopping others from gettin in. The biggest indicator of this is as the night goes on there are less and less people in the map and yet players are still in queue. There is a post in the WvW forum but this needs to be brought up as a bug here and fixed soon. Stops players for hours of queues from playing there favorite part of the game due to this.

Doing it once does not help. It has a small drop chance from the chest so one time with a few friends isnt going to give any type of real data, keep going back and doing it.

Recently moved our guild here and it has been a blast, plenty of WvW to go around. Only seen a queue on all 4 maps on reset night, so plenty of room for any guild. Recently fighting for 2nd in T1 so lets get some people and give JQ a run for there money.

My guess is that within two months we’ll be so tired of fighting the same opponents for the 4th consecutive week that the boards will be alive with (probably the same people) begging for free server transfers to make it interesting again.

And I’ll bet gold that it’s correct.

I can see why you went there. To be honest, I thought that, too. But let’s take a look at it from the devs’ perspective(s):

Let’s say they do open up free transfers again; and maybe this time, they facilitate and screen the exodus (unlike was seen in the SoS fiasco [not to bring old wounds up—just making a point]). Would they really want to risk history repeating itself in that free transfers have the potential to create and perpetuate the…for lack of a better word..rise of dead servers?

I guess what I’m saying is that either: when paid transfers come into effect, servers will ‘belong’ into their tiers and level off, remaining in balance for months on end (which will inevitably bore the life out of most WvW players); or a new system needs to be in place to avoid both boredom and the perpetuation of putting a server against the same opponents, indefinitely.

I can see, now, that this thread has taken a tangental turn…alas: FA…good gracious, please go to sleep so I can play properly your presence is so voluminous that my computer lags like mad; that or I just need a new computer….. probably the latter

The other thing that could come to affect is servers abusing the guesting that they are putting into effect. just thing if everyone from SoS guesting for 1 week into a lower tier WvW . now that would really cause a kitten storm.

Guesting will have no effect on WvW.

It’s when you can beat someone at a sport. They go back and take steroids, and next year they are like omg freakin huge. That’s how I feel with FA. It has been an experience this week seeing the tables turned upside down on us. Let’s see how CD responds to this in the coming weeks before paid transfers
