Lol! JQ is like the most bipolar server. One minute they’re double-teaming SoR with BG, next minute they’re double-teaming BG with SoR.
That’s not the problem with JQ. The problem is that BG is a bit “weird” when it comes to tactics.
Example 1
SoR tries to take an upgraded JQ bay. BG has at least two good options.
- take an unguarded upgraded SoR hills
- take an unguarded upgraded JQ spawn tower.
BG runs to JQ bay to watch the fight or get wiped there or get some bags or whatever.
Example 2
JQ attacks SoR garrison, SoR comes to defend.
BG attacks JQ spawn tower and camp instead taking their bay back or.. getting NW tower.
Sure, you can play it that way, but it makes absolutely no sense. And many of the situations when JQ decides to go for BG are because BG just did something stupid before, like taking JQ spawn camp with their whole zerg, while JQ is pushing SoR garrison or such things.

Several times i would have love to have crushed JQ and there puny force that provoked me by hitting my towers, but i have to deal with the far larger and far more dangerous SoR.

No we take Friday and Saturday off. Now for ohter days we still play, but RK is small guild and some of our key members are not available to play at the moment so we have fewer active RK in the field and a change to our schedule now means we have no heavy 20 RK out. Instead we are doing every thing with 10-15 so we are still there only smaller.
I was the commander that lead the defense of Garrison yesterday. With about 10 RK so we are there, but out numbers are lower now.
Always outnumbered, Never wipe, Knows more about BG than we do.
Just saying, I think I’ve seen EVERY guild on SoR (or JQ/BG for that matter) wipe at one point or another. Some wipe more than others, but that’s just the reality of it.
For any guild to claim that they have NEVER wiped is simply ridiculous.
I don’t think he was claiming that we never wipe, it is more commenting on stars posts saying that IRON never wipes which are just troll posts. Everyone wipes at some point, if you don’t wipe occasionally you obviously aren’t trying hard enough in WvW to be either focused by a blob or for your enemy to put up a decent defense with a butt-load of seige.

BTw this is started when someone from BG called for a 1v1 of servers, and i was pointing out coverage gaps. That the Three of us together cancel each others out, but when its a 1v1 it really shows BG have the better overall coverage.
Yeah no we don’t counter them. There is right now only one active full time EU guild. RK and we can field 15. When Merc dose over time or HB is out with an all call then we can take the advantage back and push out, but that is not that often.
ESOL is doing there thing and have some EU, but most of the time at the graveyard hour of EU we lose every thing and get over run by the larger numbers of SoR. Iron outnumber us 2 to 1 in every fight.
Now before people start to scream about randoms. Every one knows they don’t mater in a real fight it is guilded vs guilded that decides if our pugs run or fight.
Yeah JQ still have some solid night power and that will hurt our ptt gain over all, but it is a small mater. The only big change will be that more forum warriors from SoR will be out and about beating there chest.
Well done JQ i hope you can knock us down to 3rd it would make things more interesting.

I don’t know if you’re trolling or if you’re just stupid. But if you’re in a pvp zone and run in through an open wall in our keep, you can’t say kitten about us killing you. We play to fight and are killing people all day long. If you’re dumb enough to run a lame roleplay event in a pvp zone that we’re in the expect us to slaughter you and say thanks for the free loot. GvG’s are pvp-dependet competitions between guilds. While nobody claims they aren’t “free game”, you will most likely end up being wiped by both of the gvg teams. We’ve had people trying to mess up our gvg’s before. It didn’t end well for them. But we’ve accepted it happening though because it’s a pvp zone after all and people will play the game the way they want to.
The kittened role playing dolyak crap though has no place in a pvp zone. they can just as well go do that kitten in LA or something.
The fact here is that THEY came on here whining about 6 people wiping their entire dolyak “parade” like a boss. THEY started the crying. All I’ve done is simply stating how incredibly stupid their whining really is.

In RK we run over 2 times our own number of randoms all the time. I do not make a big deal out of it because that is how it is supposed to be and i do not go on the forum and shout about MY GREAT ACCOMPLISHMENT!!!.
Managing to kill a bunch of PvE guys that where not fighting back and then going on the forum acting proud of it. That is sad.
I know you guys wish you had some massive guild you could fight and beat, but they are not on this server during EU, but taking it out on the PvE guys are kind of pathetic don’t you think.

I run a PvT hammer warrior. I have no issues at all with GS warriors or Zerker Thives and even my lowbie Necro have no great issues with theses classes.
ON the Necro i can spam Blindness with the best of them and cut down there DPS with pumping them full of DoT’s that removes there ability to survive. A warrior that is fullzerker will not have the Runes needed to survive a ton of dots.
With my Warrior i keep stunning them every time they get annoying and as the fight drags i will win and they either have to run or DIE!.
I worry more about thieves who run with enough health not to instant gib them self on my retaliation and can hit and run well.
If it reset it would make it impossible to take any thing. Your punishment is that you get less supply and that the other team can bring in more supply to there holdings and now they have more loot.

If HB can win them with inferior numbers in WvW, i don’t see why they are rejecting a GvG with IRON. A GvG can even be a 5v5 or 10v10.
Because GvG is a different game with different builds and different strategies. It’s not something you can just suddenly jump in to. You have to do some research first, prepare, and if you don’t… then you’re basically setting your self up to be laughed at if you lose.

And about GvG we say the same thing we always do. We are to small a guild and have to few European commanders to fight. If we have a 10vs10 then Iron still have 20 active atleast and even more KISS out there.
We do not have time for GvG with out 6 day wvw schedule.

Because i lead 3-4 Days a week at least 4 hours stretches and we have no other commander at the moment that can organize it. Friday is my always off day and i am not going to change it for some GvG. I am looking into it, but i do not have time to really get it running at the moment so we wont get it done.
We need to make new builds, get gear, train and a kitten ton of other things so trying to GvG would only hurt the server and our position. We do not have the advantage of massive guilds like so many others and i take 10 out for wvw i will only have one or two extra members bring bored by them self.
Does your large guild really need a reason to zerg everything? You zerg everything anyway. That’s how you hit such huge ppt. You don’t only hit JQ. lol.
Btw our usual mid-week online during EU prime is ~40ppl, and ~5-7 of them usually afk or assigned on scout duty on other borders. And we often don’t have luxury of choosing BL for long time, since we are forced to perform role of firefight team, jump here and there, strike fast and port to attack/defend other objective.
I also have to teleport around and stop attacks. The only difference is i have to do with with 10 people. Right now it is not so bad because i have some back up commanders, but most nights when it is not vacation time i am the only active EU commander outside of EB
SEA maybe, but if SoR had the same SEA as BG (they have more than JQ now) it would be that fabled “HoD 2.0”.
But I don’t think SoR needs any help in SEA right now as they have the sweetest ride in every other timezone. Only reason recently we’ve been able to break SoR’s WP’s during SEA is because ATM isn’t kicking us in the sides every night, I mean they could so easily make us lose this matchup by focusing nothing but us, but Waha isn’t a fool.
It would be interesting to see how well jq would do if ATM actually fought for points for jq, tried to upgrade jq’s keeps/border etc rather than focusing sor with yourselves.
I agree though it is what helps BG compete with SoR. Bg does ok during EU time until east coast NA starts to come on, the real problem for BG is NA and I have no idea why BG does not perform better in that timezone.

When EU comes online we have a few upgraded keeps in both BG and sometimes in the borderlands. From there we can push out from defended positions and in case of a massive zerg we can pull back and bog it down forcing you to commit more and more forces. HOW EVER your number right now are so big that at the end of the night where RK is the only on with active commanders and only have about 5-10 guilded on we get over run.
Then we go into NA with Paper borderland. From there your NA have the advantage and can defend all the way and keep the high PTT while keeping the pressure on us. The nights where we can leave EU with some Waypointed and defended Keeps our NA do quite well.
Right now with your EU outnumbering us on such a massive scale there is very little chance for us to hold a position that can be given over to NA that is strong enough to give them the fighting chance they need.

Also about JQ they do plenty of hitting my side. You where in EB yesterday you saw how JQ came and took advantage of our weakness. They are always about doing what every they see as right to win and they will hit what ever side looks the most open.

GvG is not possible. IF we where to GvG we would lose our main commander around our forces. We tend to be one of only 2-3 commanders that have any active EU forces with them that is not pure militia. The only reason we are winning is because of the guilds doing over time and that will go away next month.
I am looking into GvG, but we have no numbers for. We have to 10-15 man at the most when we are out and about. That is all we can bring to a fight so if we where to GvG we would be forsaken our duty as commanders for BG. HB have a few more, but not a lot more they are only a more hardcore wvw guild.

Lets take a break from the very entertaining but hypocritical qq about SOR’s EU coverage and lets get serious for a moment. I just read a qq thread in the wvw forum about why the State of the Game podcasts where spvp representatives directly ask the devs questions doesn’t include any wvw questions. Ignoring the facepalming idiocy of why spvp players don’t bring up wvw issues, why don’t we have wvw representatives on the show?
Apparently back in March GW2 Guru put out a call for wvw hosts to be out a call for wvw hosts but it doesn’t look like anyone responded. I know there are a ton of very passionate and knowledgeable wvw commanders and players on the T1 servers. Any of you guys and gals want to stop trolling for a few hours and step up? For many GW2 players wvw is the end game but it seems like we are the most neglected.
The issue there is the fact that you would need people with commanding experience that knows what is going on. There are very few great commanders out there with both the equipment and the time to invest in something like this for no real money.
Like in my case i lead 2-3 nights a week for at least 3 hours at a time and sometimes more. So that is 9 hours a week other then that i have schooling starting in august and there is also the time for my social life and for my other hobbies.
The time it would take to make content would make it hard to make content. That is also ignoring the money i would need to spend for a extra HD, new mic and new Camera. IN all it is both a massive cost and time investment.
Thought you guys may be interested in this seen as we were just in NA Tier 1.

The thing with SoR EU is that it is still based around Iron and the huge pug army. Kiss is a non threat at the moment as they try and improve them self and change into how fights work on a Tier 1 server vs having no one to fight.
It will take them a months time to rebuild them self and then Kiss can become a huge pain in the kitten .
The only reason we can ever get any PTT is because of how SoR moves. Large Army’s going from zone to zone. That tend to get bugged down in long fights where they lose other zones. That is only when we have the extra forces doing overtime.
Still with Kiss slowly getting better and with Iron’s massive numbers it will be hard to win in the coming months and if the rumors are true of yet another EU guild coming to SoR then it will be hard. Still it is of little concern to me because i have a few ideas how to get the best out of this and in the end i will have my fun.

What is this kitten? We don’t hide behind ac’s, we don’t exploit, we don’t run. Yet you seem intent on throwing these accusations at us. I never call out another guild/server for exploiting although we know it is prevalent in the game it is a minority on all sides who do it.
If you have evidence someone in iron is exploiting I will kick him/her. So rather than constantly flame us, prove it and it will be dealt with if found to be the case.

I have fought Iron plenty and i have never seen them use a exploit like AC’s or any thing like that. They might be jerks with jerk tactics doing jerk things while not dropping enough of there jerk bags but they do not abuse the glitches…..bunch of jerks.
right now on jq border. 29 iron and a few pugs vs the biggest blob wvw has ever seen. the bg blob covered the whole bridge to the south camp packed with people. this is getting to be kittened.
If i had 30 RK on i could more or less take any borderland i wanted and no guild would have the power to stop me.

Now the Video is actually about CD after getting interrupted when you are trying to fire of your burst. IT should not go on full CD.
Now for how a warrior survives in wvw. I am a Commander of a very Warrior and Guardian heavy guild that is a pure wvw guild. We have no big problem surviving at all and the only thing that brings us down a superior numbers.
The thing with multi hit weapons is that you should not use them as openers. That is where you use Earth Shaker or the Long bow Burst. Trying to break a front line of Warriors or Guards will only get you killed if you use multi hit.
Instead you should use stuns, disrupts, boon removers/converters and then crush them or better yet be a bit smart and go around them using Portals, veils and what not where after you hit there soft back line.
IF you get into there back line then Burst weapons can work wonders and you do not have to worry about retaliation or any thing else like that.
Thanks for the fights this evening SoR/JQ in BG bl, the engagements with NYS and ATM were great with a lot of bags for both sides. kitten , it was tight in some of the engagements- i.e. bay being swiss cheese. Thanks for coming out in open field guys.
I’m actually curious what JQ was thinking strategy wise on SOR bl. I commanded there all day for 2 days in a row. Both days I intentionally helped JQ yesterday I even opened the south gate of bay for JQ. I did this because SOR always tries to control their whole map, so if jq and bg are on the map sor can’t do that. Plus the fact that today we flipped all of sors objectives so it was all paper. This caused the bg items to be the only upgraded objectives yet jq and sor decide to push it? It makes sense for sor to if jq is cause they don’t want a t3 keep on their map. But what were you thinking jq? I guess I’m just missing the strategic reasoning behind your siege of hills.
I’m not complaining we had amazing fights all day, I’m just wondering why.
BG was/is in 1st place. JQ plays for 1st. Better to help SoR turn your stuff to paper and stop you getting points by tying up your forces.

We in BG always tend to take the lead and then we lose it to SoR along the way because of there better coverage. So now SoR will gain there numbers and strength (If the iron rumor is not true and i hope it is false) then you will be stuck having to fight tier 3 SoR for the point you need.
The right answer for your strategy is “3way fight WOOOOOOOOOOO” That is my answer every time i do things like this.
Who cares. Today i had a lovely 3 way fight with Iron and RG it was fun and it is nice to see RG around.
They will attack any one and that really helps. Both from a defensive point of view and from a fun standpoint. It is to bad i had to try and build up Garrison or else i would have brought RK into more of the fights.
I don’t understand, last week against us, BG had huge numbers in all 4 maps almost 24/7.
This matchup it seems like they just aren’t showing up.

Probably, because if he wasn’t new he would know BG gets demoralized once the weekdays hit and theyre ticking below 200 for 24 hours straight.
Really chest bumping. Yeah there is a lot things i care about, but PTT is not one of them. So what if we lose?? Who cares… Every night i have 3 borderlands to fight in. Every night i have the pick of the crop of the fights i want.
Want to defend a keep. It is there.
Want to hit a borderland and small scale hit some one i can.
It is great for recruitment and i get every challenge i could ever want. I wish JQ would come out to fight also during EU prime, but i cant have every thing.
