Agreed. This DR is just as bad as the previous one. It might even be worse.
Old DR – do nothing for 30 mins – get full rewards for 30 mins
New DR – do nothing for 30 mins – get DR right off the bat or after 15 mins

The way you and your party are playing is wrong.
For something titled “of Kings”, it is much too small and plain.
With a good group (the type of group dungeons are targeted at) they feel great, very fun. With a bad group they feel bad.
That’s cool but jumping into the water stops the birds. Why do you immediately blame the design instead of maybe asking if there’s anything you did wrong? If there is something that should be fixed it’s making jumping into the water a much more obvious solution.
DR kicks in much faster and decreases rewards much slower. Can’t draw any conclusions yet.
I just did CoE with 2 guardians and warrior meleeing every encounter and it was very easy. I’ve done every dungeon where melee characters were quite successful. BTW melee does more damage than ranged. What does this say about your thread?
You said it yourself, your party members ignore you. There is no problem with the crystal. Tell them what to do or play with better people.
As long as I get money and xp and possibly transmute stones, I couldn’t care less what mats I get- it’s all going on the trade post anyway.

Anyone attempting a holy trinity is being very inefficient and a bad group. I would really hate to be in a group with people who think that’s a good idea.

Even if you can’t sell it on the TP, you can still mail it.

So you had no problem getting to the troll and then you couldn’t beat the troll. That’s kind of strange, considering that it’s a very easy boss, albeit with too much hp. If I recall correctly he only has melee attacks (melee aoe?) so he shouldn’t be harder than the miniboss at the start. In any case, a bonus event is just that – a bonus event. You don’t have to do it. Not sure how you managed to spend 3h on that.
You can refill the group, not sure how you realized that you couldn’t.
It’s unfortunate but this is an exception. Most groups have no problem completing story mode afaik.
I agree that the first dungeon players do should be fairly easy. Then again AC IS easy, except for the Lovers.

Well if you’re complaining about the staff specifically, then you have to take into account that it needs 250 dyes (10 gold) instead of 100 lodestones (70g).
It takes 3 runs a day for 10 days to get a full set + weapon of “prestigious” dungeon gear. PLEASE DO NOT make it any easier than this. It’s already way too easy. 9 paths per day for 10 days = 3 complete dungeon sets. Hope the expansions will have sets that are actually hard to get. The only sets that indicate any sort of effort on the players part are Arah and WvW.
I don’t care about the karma DR but the farming DR and dungeon DR make getting gold an extremely frustrating process. I just wish I farmed as much as possible before they were added. Instead of 2 weeks to get the necessary gold I’m looking at over a month. If you think getting karma is hard wait until you realize how much gold you need.
You can preview them you know? Yes daggers will clip through most armors. Pistols clip through most armors as well. Pretty disappointing.

I did. Even the worst servers can have 1 or 2 forts/towers easily. One corner of the map has what, 3 pois that require ownership to get?

I don’t understand why you haven’t mentioned the fact that WvW rotates and you get different positions on the map every time. Eventually you’ll get to start in all of the corners and have all the pois.
It’s one of the most fun bosses in the game and definitely well designed. Sorry you’re horribly bad.
HotW path 2 is doable in less than 16 minutes. My group timed it. Just saying.
If 2 players do path 1 and 2 and NOT 3, and then form a group with 3 players who have done path 3 and NOT 1 and 2, what happens?
I tried Lupicus with 2 friends with voice com and 2 randoms. We spent about an hour trying, around 12 attempts. We used DKP’s guide and told the randoms what to do. Couldn’t beat 2nd phase. It was like 2-3 hours wasted total (yay 7 shards). It’s definitely not always doable even if you know the strategy. I’m afraid of even trying it again without some sort of good group. Really tempting to say 3 players in my group were quite bad though so idk.

You know there’s more than one 15-25 zone? There are way more hearts than you could possibly need to level properly.

Disagree. Leveled a character to 80 during the last week and the zones were full of people and had a lot of events. Leveling a guardian now, starter zone has players everywhere and many events. I did the stampeding minotaur event 3 times while leveling to 5.
What the 2 posts above me said. I can kill 4 enemies easily. Actually it’s even easier without grenades. Try using a pistol and running away from monsters. You know, so they don’t hit you. So you don’t take damage and don’t die. See how that works? I don’t understand how someone can have trouble with this.

I played Engi and Necro so far. Almost every engi skill is instant cast or < 0.5 seconds. Almost every necro skill takes 0.5 – 2 seconds to cast. These are the skills that AREN’T channeling. Just the cast time or animation time. Feels super slow and bad. Only skills that I get satisfaction from using are deathly swarm, wells and flesh golem charge, because they don’t take kitten forever to happen.
And of course I agree with OP, Engi can do everything Necro can and better. Besides some condition manipulation and tanking I gotta admit. But then again, I find it easier to survive with an Engi than Necro so idk. Engi can immobilize and then stun, and during that time do 25 stacks of vuln, long chill, poison, optional blind, some bleeds along with massive damage(12k+) all in less than 8 seconds, and only the cd on the elite skill (stun) is significantly long. Oh and all of this is aoe besides the immobilize. Even if you don’t do this combo you’re left with good damage and massive amounts of utility skills. What can Necro do? Some weak bleeds, poison, maybe chill, blind, weakness (I think weakness is pretty good actually). Maybe you’ll be able to do 5k damage in 10 seconds, with weaker conditions than the engi. Seems like necro only has Wells going for it atm, very strong and good area control. But as soon as the enemy dodges out of it that’s a long cd skill wasted.

If there is going to be a 30 minute limit on how fast we can do dungeons, can you please make them take at least 30 minutes? Because it’s pretty dumb if we clear a path in 20 and then have to wait 10 mins to get standard rewards. It totally ruins the point of actually being good and clearing dungeons fast too.
My suggestion is to remove the time limit and make the dungeons hard/long enough so that they take a reasonable amount of time, which is indeed the initial problem.
