I completely agree. Melee bosses should instantly reset if people exploit them at range.
It’s a really good skill in PvE. High damage attacks, predictable mobs.
It means 90% of the time Blind has no effect. So you get hit 90% of the time.
Who wants to teach me?
I would happily welcome a reset at this point.
Just ragequit a pug 38 group because everyone was ranging the champ ettin in the harpy fractal in PVT. The other warrior was also camping rifle and WASN’T using banners.
Christ…
Not a big issue in my opinion. Pretty much every pug does this.
Mace mainhand is also pretty good. If boss without defiant is about to kill you with well telegraphed attack while you have no endurance, health or blocks left, you can interrupt it. No other mainhand can do that, except Rifle which is also pretty good.

So now we can’t even lie to other players? I hate you elitists!
Just increase mob damage and health. Problem solved.
I just find “revive” problematic as people quite often think it as rallying. Devs also seem to mix up the terms as downed skills talk about healing instead of reviving.

Holy mother of misinformation…
<SNIP>
Thank you, Proxy. This is the only fully accurate post in this thread, listen to this man.
Actually it’s not. As I said, it heals downed players instead of reviving.
Scale 49 legendary enemies have 22% more health than at scale 30. Champions have 23% more health. Normal/veteran enemies have 39% more health.
It doesn’t revive people. It heals downed people.
Nah, people skip because they are evil.
At least in PvE, Defiant Stance is really good.
You don’t have to dodge with stability. Without stability you just get crystallized mid-dodge.
0.5 secs is quite fast cast time so you really have to react fast (hardware, internet, etc. can easily give you latency of 0.25 secs).
You don’t trust me???
Please don’t suggest stuff like this. They might actually implement it, pat themselves on the back for a job well done and keep ignoring bigger problems.
Pugs don’t understand engis.
Stability works against every CC but stun breaks won’t. For example petrify from Simin/Bloodshard, crystal from Alpha, black projectile from Nokk and ice from some hotw bosses.
So you have use stability before getting hit. No worries, crystal has a cast time of 0.5 seconds!
Lupicus has his kick in phase 1 and his melee claw attack (similar to kick) in phase 2.
The crystall should be destroyed by teammates if you dont go solo, but if you go solo just learn how to dodge
Are you telling me to “learn to dodge”? o.O
Who cares about the personal story?
Who cares about race change?
People who try to do jumping puzzles with Norns.
It’s always amazing to see…. a dull axe!
I would say Guardian actually has the most demand on pug teams.
As the real best necromancer in the game, I’d also like to point out that Spoj…
Ok ok, I confess. I have never even played necromancer
Enemies will never get a good AI because of hardware restrictions. If you want them to consider your ideas you should try to keep them simple. For example giving enemies reflections make them seem smarter even if they just spammed them on cooldown.
You can use two characters with different ranks and just multiply damage with defense to make them comparable.
Perhaps loud noises should “blind” or even stun Dredge?
Random dodges wouldn’t really add anything. If you were able to predict it then you could use skills correctly and even interrupt it. Punishing blocks would also be nice forcing you to pay attention.
And then perhaps some devastating AoE effects forcing you to more around. For example blind every second.
You can always weaponswap out of Rush. But I think normal movement should be enough if you time it correctly.
IIRC, when I did Mage Crusher I used Mace/Sword to block his attacks. Hard to remember when it was so long time ago.
By the way, if you want to have good time go to solo Subject Alpha (excluding first encounter). AC end bosses are also pretty nice.

Added that (Necromancer Molten Bosses scale 10).
Also:
Cliffside Scale 20 Mesmer Delvert (38 mins): http://youtu.be/xGunBqtyxkg
Swampland Scale 10 Thief Delvert (7 mins, full run!): http://youtu.be/WtneIZw45tk
Ancient Ooze:
He actually has two attacks. One is used at close targets and one at distant targets. If you quickly get close after his attack he will only use one of them giving you time for DPS.
You can check my Arah p1 video for demonstration. Took me about 5 minutes to kill with really unoptimized setup, only 9 months ago! (http://youtu.be/Y5QtE9WXDwA?t=3m).
Mage Crushers:
I think if you clean up closest risen hands they may appear somewhere else (can’t really confirm). Then of course keep side stepping at all times to make them miss. Defiant Stance might work really good allowing you to tank stuff.

Anet invented GW2 though. Or at least I hope so.
Anet is not one person cool generalization you’re making here, infact just like how that wood carver is doing his job, so are Guild Wars 2’s Art Designers, Does that mean the art designers DEFINITLY have to know how to play? nope they’re just following whats being requested of them, like how the publisher owns the whole piece of kitten.
I don’t think anyone here is asking their art designers to play. Unless of course those art designers designed Underground facility.
Anet invented GW2 though. Or at least I hope so.

Wood carvers can make a full chess set, doesn’t mean they’re any good at chess.
Woodcarvers didn’t invent chess though.
Keep in mind that questioning developers may instantly give you a two week ban and 1 hour flood control/topic creating removed/private messaging removed for months.
As they have said here: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Guild-Wars-2-Forum-Moderation-Updates
So I suggest keeping it nice.
Elitists don’t have human rights.
I will update my solo compilation tonight. I promise.
Good job, as always.
Wouldn’t I then be correct, not mistaken? :P
Oh, didn’t realize they had fixed weapon strength (weird game design tbh). That definitely makes it much easier as you only have to hit once.
The simplest way is to just focus on either minimum or maximum damage.
If you want to be certain you should focus on both minimum damage and maximum damage. Then you can use weapon damage range to calculate potential values and to check whether your tests have big enough sample.
For example Greatsword with 1,045 – 1,155 damage shows that maximum damage should be 10.5% higher than the minimum damage. Sword A is expected to have 5% higher damage then sword B.
If sword B hits for 1000 damage you can say that potential maximum damage is 1105. If sword A hits for over 1105 damage you can conclude that A is stronger.
If sword A hits for 1100 damage then you have to test more. Either until sword B hits for less than 996 or that sword A hits more than 1105.
If at any point sword A hits so low that it’s potential maximum damage is less than 5% of B’s tested maximum damage then you can conclude that A is not 5% stronger than B.
This may seem complicated but you can usually see difference quite quickly. Hit 10 times with both weapons and write down minimum and maximum damages. See if you can conclude anything. If not, repeat until you get something.

That happens if someone uses the second waypoint before he activates the portal.
If you mean those destroyable barricades they made them bit taller.
Should invulnerability also work on specific direction?
If you get out of dungeon during his speech (I don’t remember how it exactly works) patrols shouldn’t appear. It’s been like that forever.
Dolyak Signet didn’t break a stun which made it unreliable to use.
Oh yeah, forgot about that electric thingy.
Arah 1 can also be done with 4 players (Shoggroth needs 4). Aetherblade path in TA is also doable (even with 2 players but needs specific classes for ooze escort). CoF 1 is also doable with an engineer (may also work with ranger pets, etc) or with long AoEs (painful) assuming you can still jump over the gate.

Good job! i remember reading a comment by wethospu saying he couldn’t do this boss on warrior, real nice job
Ye, I tried it before Endure Pain got a cooldown reduction. Almost got it done back then but that RNG was just so stupid.
Not very fun fight tbh.
Haha, it was really freakin hard that’s for sure… I would have used endure pain too but sometimes she’s such an kitten and just stealths every few seconds. Surprisingly 3 stun breakers sometimes wasn’t enough… that is, until I started going “sissy mode” and running away to bide time for my cooldowns.
Well, Endure Pain is a stun break. Just didn’t have Stomp or Dolyak Signet back then.
