PvE is just too easy. That’s all.
I’m op. If that’s what you are asking.
Generally people are calculating effective power, something like:
(attack + critical immersion) * (critical chance + 50%) * (2 * toughness + vitality – 5) + (healing shouts/scholar runes + 0.41)^2
This gives you a number that allows you to compare damage, assuming you aren’t elitist.
Fixed.

I can hold my breath longer than that. Not impressed.
Omg, you didn’t let him play as he wanted.
Keep it up guys!
Assuming Desperate Power triggers at 50% (haven’t checked if fixed), a build with Desperate Power + Empower Allies is the best. Unfortunately quite tricky to play (so don’t bother).
The person who said its 750 power is wrong. If it was 750 power to an individual player that is one thing. But individual damage doesn’t scale like that. At most if another player in the party has like lets say 3500 Attack. Giving them 150 Power is like giving 2-3% more damage. When doing that the warrior will lose like 25% damage.
Giving stacks of Vuln also effects the whole party if I put 10 Stacks of vuln that boosts everyones damage by 10% which is way better than 2-3%
I rather throw out a banner and use for great justice those 2 things are more contribution than anything.
I hope you realize “attack” in this game doesn’t mean anything. With 3.5k Attack that’s 2.5k Power so 6% more damage to everyone.
Rending Strikes won’t give 10 stacks of Vulnerability.
And you can use utilities even with Empower Allies.

Yea, the pug tactic seems to be stack on her while she is immune and everyone eats bleeding. Once stacks go down people disperse due to low health.
Just dance around her until stacks go down and then burst.
Maw would be a lot more interesting if it had 2-3 times more health but it would target every party member (or 5 random targets) . Then also add Irukandjis which would eat Crystals and explode for massive damage.
I like negative posts.
It has been quite on/off for past few weeks because transitioning from old host to the new one didn’t go as smoothly as planned. Now dulfy is hosting it so it should stay stable for a while. You can access it with either www.gw2dungeons.net or www.gw2dungeons.com
Changes:
- guides for new Fractal paths
- all around content tweaks for better quality
- slightly improved UI which should work bit better on smaller resolutions
- new section (by Target) for builds and general info (early stage)
- health data added to enemies which includes Fractal health algorithms (lots of values still missing)
And as always, I’m looking for tips, feedback and people willing to help!
When I did it long time ago I also tried that spot first. Then I moved a bit and it got much easier (especially when boss took naps during the fight). http://youtu.be/g1ueITzdX2c?t=6m13s
Not sure if that works anymore.
Oh wow interesting! I didn’t try it there no, also hmm do you think healing surge would be better to use? I know I failed to keep my hp above 90% for the majority of the fight so it definitely seems like it but I’m not sure about Frenzy… I feel like it’d mess up my timing because I was relying on whirlwind for a lot of the evasions.
Either way cool stuff thanks for sharing =D
As said, it was done a long time ago. Back then Quickness was still 100% and Signets weak which made Frenzy good option for DPS. Oh, and Healing Signet was crap too.

You are cutting so many corners I would label your work as a black magic.
If you honestly think your calculations are correct then you should take few steps back and learn the basics properly before trying to do any advanced stuff. I’m sorry for being so harsh but not much else to say.
No problem. With no mathematical support you are simply entirely irrelevant.
Let’s put it this way. I can prove that my build is objectively superior. You cannot because you objectively have the weaker build. If you ignore me you simply underperform permanently. It is to your own disadvantage to not listen to reason. This is true of any situation in which one ignores reality.Talking about ‘basics’ and ‘advanced’ is a good joke. I’m used to being underestimated, but the degree of underestimation here is just amusing.
If you want to go into skill rotations, using Burst to proc Fury on the Greatsword, etc… I can go into rotations as to multiplier per second on all the attacks in the rotation against every specific boss target in existence in the game. This can and will involve the dynamic nature of the 3% damage bonus as people dodge. The amount of adrenaline generated per second relative to the amount of adrenaline you can spend from Eviscerate, Kill shot and Arcing slice for the two builds. The synergy potential relative to any of the 7 other builds in your party. The damage gap simply widens even further. But I don’t want to spend any more time at this point to people who simply do not want to improve, and talking about multiplier per second per target applications is easily greater than 80 times the length of the discussion thus far.
The discussion thus far is sufficient for new players with a view to min-maxing to decide for themselves, current players who insist on being suboptimal are not my business as arguments are meant to persuade – talking to someone who has already decided on what to do yields a zero positive result, and costs me a lot of time.
This will be my last post on the topic, for my own sake. Rejoice if you will, ignore if you will, but reality will not change.
Goodbye.
P.S. Svetli, I hope you got what you wanted, one way or another. The time I spent here is for your benefit really.
Looks like I did the right thing for not trying to educate you.

Stop hating. You can use Rifle Butt for cleave damage. I think.
Oh, and effective power doesn’t work with different skill rotations.

Nice one guys. Perhaps they will now do something to some specific skills.
Why would you stabilize an in-game video? :O Bumpy ride?
Pugs and soloing.
Are you guys serious?
If only Dwayna wasn’t so easy and boring to kill

I really hate to see how you guys complain about every little change. Why would they bother with any changes after this?

Full ascended gear, I assume?
Perhaps one day I get mine and do bit faster time with Defiant Stance! Or did you test does he still heal?
You can also try…. wait for it…. dodging!
Actually the way Chill works is that it adds 66% to cooldowns. So 2 seconds take 3.32 seconds to recharge. In other words, in 3.32 seconds your skills lose 2 seconds of cooldown which is about 40% less.
By the way, you can just put gw2dungeons.net without “Wethospu’s guide”. Actually make it gw2dungeons.com and it works magically!
So a question to those of you who are asking for a gear change (celestial not withstanding). What exactly are you going to change into? If Zerker gear was highest DPS before, and as I understand it, it will still be highest DPS, what specifically do you want to change into?
This is a serious question. I’m having a hard time understanding the reasoning behind this request.
Some people crafted Ascended Assassin gear for ultimate min-max. After the patch Berserker will probably be the best in all cases.
Is 25k “lower end” of Warrior DPS?
I have talked to him.
The rules were set in a meeting. You just have to respect their decision and accept that they won’t be able to fully please everyone.
I think some people would change from Assassin to Berserker.
Wethospu I guess. But mostly for doing the solo stuff before others’ publicized their efforts and attempts, so it’s not really valid anymore.
Nike is probably more up to date. But to “idolize” is a bit ridiculous.
Nemesis for necro.. why not spoj
+1 Spoj4prez.
I’m still waiting for any Warrior to take down Subject Alpha or AC end bosses
Didn’t Goku do AC path 1, I know he used some items that can’t be used in dungeons anymore but still
Also it’s between Wethospu and Goku for me
I checked his channel and yes, there is ACP1. But it’s 10 months ago which means it was done before the overhaul when whole path was much easier.
Anyways, quite hard to decide who is actually the best when the game is so simple and lacks any really hard content.
Well all on Crit-Damage Sigils will be bumped up to 100% chance to procc once their internal cooldown expires. So they will procc for more reliably.
A while back someone calculated that Sigil of Fire was a 7% DPS increase on a Zerker build…..on single targets. It’s probably much more if you account for the AoE.
With one attack every 0.5 seconds and 100% Critical Chance it should proc every 5 + 0.5*10/3 = 6.667 s. With about 1.5k damage (sounds bit high to me, perhaps with decent buffs) that is about 0.23k DPS (or 0.3k DPS with perfect procs).
With 5k single target DPS (low damage) that means 4.5%/6% more damage.
With 10k single target DPS (more likely with those buffs) that means 2.3%/3% more damage.
However, the damage isn’t really the issue. Wasting sigil cooldown is (not to mention fire effect clutter). But we will see how it goes after patch.
I think for a zerk elementalist, 5% more dmg is bigger than 3 stacks of might, even though I personally cannot keep up 20 stacks of might. It is because we have access to more damage modifiers than most classes, which boosts our effective power.
So for dungeons, I keep Force+Night, Force+Energy and Undead Slaying+Energy (Lupi) or Force+Undead Slaying in MH and OF weps. I’ll probably add Force+Night for staff.
3 stacks of Might is 105 Power. If you have more than 2100 Power then 105 Power is less than 5% damage.
However, the thing with Battle is that it carries over to second weapon set (yeah, doesn’t apply to Elementalist) which basically doubles the effect. Actual number depends on damage difference between the sets (weaker weapon set should have Battle so it carries over to the stronger one).
Example: 2100 Power, first weapon set does 10k damage, second 5k damage, 50% of time spend on each set. Without sigils 7.5k DPS. With Force, 7.875k DPS (5% more). With Force + Battle, second set gets 5% more damage, first set gets 5% and 5% more damage which results in 50% * 10k * 1.05 * 1.05 + 50% * 5k * 1.05 = 8.1375k DPS (8.5% more).
Also for example Warriors can swap much faster resulting in double stacks.
Doesn’t battle have an ICD right now, so that the warrior’s swap reduction advantage is almost nullified?
ICD is 10 seconds. With 5 sec swaps two swaps take 10 seconds which matches perfectly.

I honestly don’t mind if things line up better with PvP. That should make balancing bit easier. Also I don’t really mind when stuff changes (game should become bit harder when time to kill increases). Only issue is the ascended gear because I’m pretty sure they won’t offer stat change for Assassin users.
Edit: Good to keep in mind that some of this is actually balancing. Some gear had way too much Critical Damage because of rounding.
(edited by Wethospu.6437)
You can use ranged weapon at melee range.
And after that 10% nerf? Nothing changes. And then what? Another 10%?
Wethospu I guess. But mostly for doing the solo stuff before others’ publicized their efforts and attempts, so it’s not really valid anymore.

I’m all for reducing health of Warrior and Necromancer but giving Death Shroud huge PvE buff (or other active defenses). Also armor classes could be removed.
At least Warrior would be less forgiving.
Immersion points 10/10
People run full DPS because of faster clear time. That’s all. Also exaggerating usually hurts your credibility (people just assume you have no idea what you are talking about).
At the moment I don’t really gearcheck people because I know my damage can carry and the run goes pretty fast. But if my damage gets nerfed I have to gearcheck to ensure we get decent DPS.
(edited by Wethospu.6437)
I just wish the longest ones would come first…
And I really can’t understand how people except anyone to take them seriously if they admit that they think “4w+g or 5w” is the best setup in PvE (not to mention people who barely even understand how the game works).
People just seem to mix random stuff together (sometimes issue is classes, sometimes stacking, sometimes gear, even in the same sentence) and offer random solutions which would break lots of things.

Warrior solo videos, lots of different dungeons!
sword/warhorn is a garbage weaponset except for skipping. you need to have a mainhand axe to maximise DPS because of the extremely strong AA which you use after using your 2h sword burst (HB-rush-WA); good offhands are mace and sword (to lesser extent warhorn).
shoutheals and banner heals are kitten and won’t save your team. go with a good 30/25/0/0/15 meta build and help your party by providing good DPS and all the support (save weak heals) as those inferior builds.
if you’re intent on more support run a build with 20 tactics for EA. 30/0/0/20/20 (kitten crit chance) or 20/30/0/20/0 (no 15% modifier) all of which lack fast hands are decent options though the heavy DPS loss may not be worth it.
Greatsword + Sword/Warhorn is awesome for leveling in open world.
I doubt you took every jumping puzzle though
What about to the last drake?
I doubt anyone has ever cleared whole Arah (even when excluding respawning enemies).
Stacking is not hard to fix. For example Spider Queen. Make her melee to do 120% of berserker Warrior’s health without target limit. Or alternatively, buff her health a lot. Or alternatively, add few extra Spider Queens.
It’s a joke to face a one enemy which barely does any damage and which people can quite easily solo.
