If they want to discourage Berserker they have to force sustainability. Instead of one powerful attack every 5-10 seconds enemies could attack every 0.5-1 seconds.
And fights have to last long enough
has anyone tested if there is a maximum to the stacks? I guess it would be like 25 but then defiant can exceed 25 so idk anymore. Too scared to check for myself.
25 is max.
RNG sucks, that’s all it comes down to. I had a stretch of almost 2 months doing 48’s and 38’s daily without a single weapon drop. Then 3 in 2 days. It is pretty infuriating when you have a friend that get’s one every 2-3 runs.
I would say it’s more infuriating when “I’m healer/disruptor” Warrior gets one after he has told you how you bring nothing to the group.
averaging 6 stacks of might
Assuming 25 might
Those stat gains are really marginal.
Good luck trying to make them realize they don’t represent entire player-base.
Can’t you Fear them against corner or something? That at least sounds useful to me.
That’s quite wild claim but I take your word for it.
I have also seen Simin just standing still and doing nothing.
At lower levels it’s probably worth of it. But it’s good to remember that they are Veterans, not Normal enemies.
With Swiftness you can jump over two lasers. Much more fun that way.
If full reset usually helps with the problem then rare bug (or feature) causing stronger regeneration would make sense.
Also Deep Cuts (+50% longer Bleeding) became quite crappy for OH-Sword.
Mossman usually focuses one person all the time (except ranged attacks).
Well, that would be higher than your current record.
I think all active blocks should be more controllable. Meaning it only ends after duration or if you use the finishing move, not when you get hit. Perhaps even giving different finishing move based on range.
So you can keep blocking and strike when it feels good.
So Lord Swoldermort has 104k health because your 52k took only half of it?
He is downed, you can easily see it from the red hp bar.
Downed without downed debuff?
Leman,
It seems you & I are talking past each other. Your new response doesn’t tell me anything new that I may misunderstood you but rather it does confirm my opinion that you are replacing one time gate w/ another time gate. Duration is changed, but it is still a time gate.
If it’s an account base, why can’t I bring my alt to play at my highest level then upgrade to my highest level? If it’s too descriptive for you, I can give u a very simple example in text, no fancy graphic needed:1) Char 1 level 43
2) Char 2 level 1Play char 2 at any level from 43 & above will upgrade it to level 43. Playing at any level below 43 before reaching 43, will only upgrade to that level. No time gate, no weekly gate, no nothing. Would it be a better idea?
I think the point is to be a time gate because Anet loves that design.
I think his point was that once a week you can jump a tier if you do level on that tier or above.
Just add diminishing returns for the daily chest.
Everytime I say that obal is wrong in his guides (that for some reason they think is an insult) I got a reply which defends obal and tries to discredit me.
The reason you are discredited on these forums is because you speak vaguely. You try to pose yourself as a mindful player that is only out to help and be the good guy, when your true intentions are to discredit the players that do not use similar tactics as you and Wethospu.
Players that do not even know obal or follow him as an all mighty “ZEALOT!” Trust his word over yours because you do not present yourself as useful in any way.
I’m bit interested why did you choose to bring me in?
Just to clear up any misconceptions, I use exploits. Most notably getting out of combat during boss battles. Also last night on Dredge level 79 I… jumped over the first gate…
Also I find it bit terrific if people blindly follow someone who doesn’t know some basic stuff and doesn’t bother to check it up. I mean I still get yelled at Lupicus for not stacking at range…
See Haviz, you have zealots too. All it takes is a little negativity… Thanks for proving my point.
That…. That was art.
What about my zealots then?
(edited by Wethospu.6437)
Yes, I agree with this great suggestion.
I only have one main but I was paid a lot for this comment.
Perhaps a bit stupid question but why it works randomly? Every other boon/condition works all the time.
I don’t really play PvP so was wondering if it’s somehow making sense there. At least in PvE randomness makes it much worse because you can’t rely on it.
As far as I know, FGS has been in the game since launch. So you have had plenty of time to use it. Perhaps it gets changed but I wouldn’t focus on that too much until it actually happens. Should I start crying about Warrior DPS in case it some day gets nerfed?
The whole game is all about negating the mechanics. People bring Guardian/Mesmer for that. Warriors don’t work that well alone. But in your opinion Elementalists should?
—
And to everyone saying ele has the top DPS…
Conjured weapons is a GMMICK build that works ONLY in cof/coe easy paths.Ele is infact the LOWEST dps in the game without abusing unintended stuff (you need to turn off autotarget to get those,…. quite a proff they are unintended).
Auto-targeting is quite bad criteria for what’s supposed to be intended. Am I breaking the game when I use Rush or Savage Leap without auto-targeting?
Also it seems to work wonders on Arah: http://youtu.be/0A8mLHDHiQU
or on low-end stuff like 70+ Fractals…
But I wouldn’t complaint until it’s fixed.
At the moment, Elementalist has the highest burst in game. Also Elementalists are very forgiving with the best downed state.
I’m 99% sure that for example 3 Warriors, 1 Elementalist and 1 Mesmer are faster than 4 Warriors and 1 Mesmer in CoF P1.
I know, but usually you take the screenshot from the situation. Not after, unless he has something to hide.
Or that he just edited the numbers and did only 10k.
Why are you taking him seriously? If you want a real test, hit golem with a steady weapon.
Would that 3-5% damage be able to boost me that much? I feel like I’m lacking some really important aspect that’s holding my damage back a lot. I’m looking at screenshots of 40k+ damage on lots of bosses and mobs, how do they hit like that? Ive even seen a 52k, which just makes me feel weak and useless
For example, how do you hit 40k+ on lupicus wethospu?
That was with Desperate Power-trait and with all kind of stacks.
So Lord Swoldermort has 104k health because your 52k took only half of it?
I think Weakness change affected all kind of glancing so critical hits should now also glance.
Signet-build is not that superior anymore because a) Deep Strike trait scales with level and b) Deep Strike is bugged and probably doesn’t work at all. You can still use them though but don’t expect 100% Critical Chance.
First of all, people expect Warriors to deal damage.
Two common builds (30-25-0-0-15 / 30-0-0-10-30) use 2 melee-weapons (Greatsword + Axe/X, with latter build you can also use Axe/Mace +Axe/X). Full Berserker Gear with either Ruby Orbs or Scholar Runes ( a lot more expensive but bit better damage potential). Going full offense may be problematic at start so you can have some defensive gear (Valkyrie/Knight/etc) but some people say it actually gets easier because less toughness gets less aggro from enemies.
Both build have 30 in Strength line because that has good damage traits (Dual Wielding, Axe Mastery, Slashing Power, Berserker’s Power). Both also invest 15 to Discipline for Fast Hands (important if you use Greatsword and Axe/X for better skill rotation).
30-25-0-0-15 is more suitable for solo and unorganized play because Forceful Greatword-trait allows you to get lots of Might. That’s exactly why this build invests 25 to Arms-line (+ also get that 10% more damage to Bleeding enemies). This is what I’m personally using at the moment.
30-0-0-10-30 relies on group giving you the Might. 10 points for Tactics are used for Empower Allies which gives big boost to everyone in your group (not so useful if your team has tanky players). It doesn’t stack so you have to switch to Empowered if someone else is using it. 30 points to Discipline are used to get Heightened Focus (still bugged, only giving 9% more Critical Chance which significantly weakens this build).
Regards your build, you haven’t listed what armor you use. If you are looking to get more damage, I would first replace Sapphire Orbs with Ruby Orbs (healing power is quite useless). And then proceed with rest of the stuff until you are happy.
If you have some gold you should consider getting additional (Exotic) weapons with different sigils (Force for all-around use, Night for night dungeons, Bloodlust for stacking, off-hand with Sigil of Energy for dodging)
Also it is good to carry every different weapon in your inventory (at least Sword / Warhorn for mobility and one ranged weapon).
For example: Greatsword with Sigil of Force/Night, Axe with Sigil of Force/Night/Bloodlust, Warhorn with Sigil of Bloodlust (double stacking), Mace with Sigil of Battle, Sword with Sigil of Energy, Shield with Sigil of Energy, Longbow with Sigil of Force (I also have lots of other stuff but not so important).
Your utilities are solid but in group play you should swap On My Mark! to Banner of Discipline or Banner of Strength (unless someone is already using both).
Shield is quite useful in some situations but it will work fine even without traiting. Missile Reflection works very well in some cases but you have to keep in mind that other classes (Mesmer/Guardian) are much better at reflecting and they can easily protect entire group. What I’m trying to say that you are using lots of points just for one skill (Shield Stance).
However you should really consider taking those 5 in Arms and Tactics and putting them to Strength for Berserker Power.
If you get issues with dungeons you can always search for guides and look for videos (you can check links on my signature). You can always ask me in-game if needed.
Most importantly, experiment with stuff, figure out what you like and have fun!
(edited by Wethospu.6437)
Honestly I didnt think it could be done after I saw Wethospu posting that he didnt even melee it at that level or higher. Interesting.
That’s what I’m saying. He even melees the Ancient Ooze in Arah.
I only use ranged-swap on underwater content and Mining Suit /Rampaging Ice Elemental (and I’m seriously reconsidering latter).
“At the Grandmaster level we will take Heightened Focus, as 15% chance to crit makes up for the lack of any points in Arms”
Automatic failure.
Hello,
But when rolling a warr that seemed to be expected of me, either you run a 30/25/0/0/15 or some variant of this. Anything else is viewed as sub optimal or somehow “a waste.”
For the Berserker build, you’d rather want the 30/0/0/10/30 build, supposed to be about 7% better than the 30/25/0/0/15. The 10 in tactics changes between “empowerer” and “empower allies” in dungeons (although beware: when there are many warriors in the team, “empower allies” does not stack).
I would like to see proof for this. With Heightened Focus giving just 9% Critical Chance and no Forceful Greatsword stacking Might for you it seems bit bad.
3 ways:
Go edit your video (not the quick edit), it shows up on the screen.
Like a video, it gives you a link.
Build it manually. For example if you have http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MEFdqxwazI it becomes youtu.be/_MEFdqxwazI
Well, that’s variety.
So that we can herd cows? I admit that has been missing from the game.
I didn’t know that damage was a currency.
Scepter on a Warrior?
No.
Phase 2 is already pretty much as fast as it can get. Any faster and you start losing Feedback damage.
And you have to also remember that Mesmer does a lot more damage with LH.
I’m not exactly sure about how much damage Haviz did in phase 2 but my estimate is about 100% more than me.
30/25/0/0/15 is better on pugs because you can use Forceful Greatsword to self-stack Might.
30/0/0/10/30 users usually assume near max Might stacks. Heightened Focus is still bugged so it gives only 9% Critical Chance which also makes this build weaker.
With 30/0/0/10/30 you want pick Dual Wielding, Axe Mastery, Berserker’s Power, Empower Alllies (Empowered if someone is using this already), Signet Mastery/Inspiring Shouts/whatever, Sharpened Axes/whatever, Heightened Focus.
Whenever they touch something there’s 50% chance that it gets broken.
This was changed at 25.6:
Deep Strike: This trait now scales with level rather than granting a flat bonus.
Congrats. I wish this could have been posted when Hrouda still posted in the forums.
He would have probably got a heart attack.
will you be my friend wethospu?
Of course, everyone is my friend! (as long as they can solo Lupicus)
wha… you didn’t even needed your scholar rune procs LOL
He put in the 20% while under 50%hp to replace that and empowered. Probably picked a different rune too since that 6 isn’t doing anything.
Yes, I was rolling with Ruby Orbs.
After watching the videos over and over again i actually believe swapping the ele for another warrior or a ranger would be better.
4th Warrior barely brings anything to the group and Elementalist does more damage.
(edited by Wethospu.6437)
Not sure what crit rates they’re working with, but would be curious what the extra ~4% crit chance from swapping out the bleed durations for +40 precision per signet trait, switching surge for heal sig, and using real combat to build the adrenaline.
Deep Strikes doesn’t really work at the moment. Everyone was quite close to 100% Critical Chance.

Great ending to our trilogy!

I think he meant that devs should ask us what’s needed.
…
And no offense, but I really see it as a beginner mistake if you have banner out of range against a non-moving enemy.Obal also hang around with in game idiots like me to record things only in game idiots can do. Tell you the truth that I spent more time to make my characters looks prettier than to find out how far the range of the banner would extend. Once in awhile, I made some posts to fool you guys into thinking that I know something about the game, but actually I’m pretty much a lemming. My brain runs in auto mode when I play GW2 and that’s awesome. A game to play w/o really thinking and pay attention to details. At the expense of some fancy silvers & coppers.
Would I put a banner again out of reach the next time? Guaranteed it will happen once in a while again, whether Obal invited me for the next run or not. But I guaranteed you this. If GW2 shows me a way I could made $75/hr (I might or might not make that much $/hr in real life), I would pay extremely more attention to those little things.
So relax Weth, don’t get hang up on those little small things. We all know you are expert in this game and having a group of experts to record things as perfect as it could be. I’m just happy to pay more attention at something else at the expense of being called newbie in GW2.
Edited: I’m the prettiest blondie warrior in the recording. I don’t think she died once this time.
As I said, no offense. I tried to put it as nicely as possible to avoid conversation like this. My only point was that I need credibility to change my mind and basic mistakes aren’t helping.
(edited by Wethospu.6437)
Didn’t you somewhere list it with 1,56 million? My feedback had 17 hits, 33k each. Thats 561k damage which is 35%. In an average group it would have mostlikely been 22k hits or less. So with lots of reflects (hitting max. 20) it would be about 30%.

^^ exception
Don’t ask me whyEdit
Because I don’t know why
I was thinking about using Pistol stealth-attack and just keep interrupting it after first shot. I think it’s quite fast.
But of course if in this case blocking doesn’t work as usually then it ruins my idea.
Just like with Lupicus, too many circles and game engine just stops drawing them. It is quite similar attack and if amount of projectiles scales with level (doesn’t even have to be much) that might happen.
I don’t recall having this issue on lower levels. That can’t be right. Look at all the circles dropped on the TA worm boss. Easily 50 or more. Perhaps its the type of attack that follows since the worms attack is instant poison and bloomhungers are the space that an attack will land.
With wurms, circles seem to appear when attacks hit ground so it’s not exactly same.
