What I would like to see is remove having to go to the trainers to reset traits, give us an option to save trait templates and let us change our traits either when we’re not in battle or when we are in a outpost, kind of like GW with our builds.
I don’t mind still having to pay, they can still charge us to change our templates.
Yes,
Crafting Taken to 500!
We’ll expand all crafting professions to allow them to reach a new milestone: 500 points!
At 500, crafters will be able to craft ascended weapons and armor.

I don’t know if this would be possible, but maybe they can introduce a new salvage kit that could salvage random level mats from drops of any level. Sure it’s RNG but it would be optional to use such a kit and give us a better chance of getting lower level mats.
I hope they do something about the cloth and leather by the time they roll out the ascended armor. If they use the same recipe format they used for the weapons, we’re going to need a good amount of wool, cotton, linen and the cured leathers.
The problem I can see coming is that we get level 80 drops or drops equal to whatever level we’re at in all the zones, we’re going to have a hard time salvaging the rest mats we’ll probably need.
What? of course its living story… You can see it in the video….
And out of balance?
It was definitely unbalanced before.. This is their answer.
That doesn’t mean they got it perfect this time either, from what I can see, they may have went too far in the other direction.
Having 80ish or so people and having them work together isn’t going to be easy.
they will show up in the cash shop, you’ll have to buy them to fight them.
My three ;
-Constant nerfing of everything ( damage , loot drops ,content . )
-Stories and characters that made GW1 memorable like repairing Gwen’s flute or bringing her flowers .
-
This, I’m playing thru GW1 again and the story and the way it’s presented is so much better.
And the 3rd is the skill system, I would like to pick and choose my skills for weapons.
What I would like is the ability to save different trait setups/builds and be able to change them in the open world without having to visit our trainer, it doesn’t matter to me if we get charged or not
i started getting bad lag, pausing and disconnects last week in cursed shore, seems to be ok in other zones though.
same thing started for me this morning and still happening tonight.
These dailys are not tedious, these are easy and fast to do. Look at the other mmo’s out there and their dailys. Now those can be a real grind and you’re not going to get those done in 20-30 minutes.
i don’t know what to tell you, compared to other games, these are a breeze.
Well, after this update I finally have a reason to leave Orr and visit other areas…
Yep with this update I’m actually going to other zones and doing other events.
sigh, they really need to do something about this, i think it’s great that they don’t pull the servers down but trying to download these bigger updates takes forever and that’s without these connection issues.
Top 3:
Wayfarer Foothills – I usually like the winter zones in games and I always seem to like the starter areas most.
Queensdale – Again it’s a starter area, and there’s usually activity here.
Timberline Falls – Reminds me of spring, some areas with snow, some with grass, pretty zone.
Bottom 3:
Dredgehaunt Cliffs – Don’t like all the dredge either, only good thing here is Granite Citadel, (nostalgia from GW1)
Southsun Cove – Wouldn’t be a bad zone if it wasn’t for all the vet Karka’s and the normal mobs being difficult, I won’t even go there for ori.
Lonar’s Pass – Just seems very boring to me.
i was getting credit on some vets, but not on others.

yea this is getting ridiculous, last 2 patches have taken forever to download. 45 minutes and i’m at 470mb or 3% downloaded on a 20mb download connection.
I don’t think some people are getting it, yes the cash shop/rl money to gold is optional but it seems that Anet is kind of trying to push people to use the cash shop with DR and farming nerfs. They seem more concerned with nerfing ways to make money than fixing bugs so far.
For people who started playing the game from day one, getting exotic gear was easy, but for someone who buys the game today and starts playing, it’s not going to be as easy because of the nerfs and higher costs for mats.

None will ever compare to presearing
got that right.
i don’t care much for the sylvari and ausra zones, favorites are human and norn.
sigh, so all the time i spent grinding for mats and gold i spent to craft/buy exotics for my 4 toons was pretty much a waste.
guess we’re going to be chasing the carrot after all.
@enzoh, yea it came from the chest. I didn’t notice it until I looked in my bags.
I got the greatsaw skin after maybe 10 runs
did it on my guardian after getting him to half health on my ranger before giving it up. figured i could do it on my guard if my ranger can get that far.
Ok, I feel I need to put in my two cents worth. People who are comparing this to GW1 events fail to take into account that GW1 had two campaigns over which they could spread this, where as GW2 has a single event in a single campaign. Even that being the case, if they were able to spread it across time zones, there’s no way EVERYBODY is still going to make it. I can remember several years in GW1 where it was impossible for me to participate in holiday events simply because I work nights on the east coast, USA. If you can’t make it, you can’t make it, but quit complaining that ANet isn’t trying to take everybody into account, because that’s not the case.
Single vs multiple campaigns has nothing to do with it. When it was just
Prophecies in 2005, they ran the events at multiple times also.
What ever happened with how it was done in GW? They would have the event every 3 hours and run it for 24 hours.
If it were to have an effect or change in the world, that could wait until this event is over before kicking off.
God I hate games using real money economies.
Just like Diablo 3 we’re seeing nerf first, worry about players enjoying themselves way later.
Agreed.
I knew a nerf was coming with the drop rate being so high, but I don’t agree with them nerfing it into the ground like this.
There’s no happy medium in this game, everything gets nerfed into the ground. You want to farm to try and make some money, well guess what, we have DR on the drops, want karma, we’re nerfing that to with DR.
The more I play this game, the more I’m convinced that it’s not so much about controlling the economy, but that it is designed more to try and push people into buying gems so those can be converted into gold so people can afford things.
As of right now the chainsaw skin is 49g 50s, either way you’re screwed. Take your chance on keys or spend about $80 on gems for it.
It is sad with the way games are going today, you buy the game and either pay a sub or pay through the nose in the cash shop. I won’t buy map packs for FPS games when they used to be free and I’ll be kitten if I’m paying for this.
Rangers took an arrow in the knee.
Why do I have to work 2x harder then most classes to achieve the same
in Ranger

i have a level 80 ranger and guardian and that’s what i’m seeing. the guardian just plows through mobs and takes little damage. when i gathering in orr, i feel much better running around on the guardian.
i also have a level 48 warrior and the dps is insane and the survivability, while not as good as the guardian, it just outclasses the ranger in both cases by a huge margin. what’s sad is the warrior’s longbow skills are so much better than the rangers. if anything they skills sets should be switched.
yea wow’s pet system is the best, they survive and you can cast more than 1 skill for them
I’ve pretty much lost total interest in playing this game, logged in the past two nights and stood in an outpost in Orr doing nothing, no desire to do the events knowing the karma/loot DR’s will kick in.
In the process of loading MOP and waiting for Rift’s expansion next month. Instead of buying gems, I’ll pay a sub for a DR free game.
@Wildcat, who are you to say how people should enjoy playing? Some do enjoy farming, others don’t.
I think a lot of this is because of the cash shop, never trust a game that has the option to convert rl money to in game money
(edited by Widowmaker Z.4802)
Yea it’s kind of messed up how this is set up, you do a chain of events, this is how the game was designed, and before the chain ends you get hit with the DR.
I was planning on buying $10 worth of gems every month or two since there’s no sub, (already spent $120) but with this DR thing, I might as well pay a sub and play a game that doesn’t have DR. I do know I won’t be buying any more gems as long as this is in place.

At level 80 it costs me almost 4 silver to get to a lot of places, that is keeping me from travelling to different zones, on my level 80’s I basically go from Cursed Shore to LA and back, but only when I need to empty my bags.
I really don’t bother going to other zones and explore or do other things because it’s just not worth the cost. The cost of travel negates any reward I would receive.

The servers need to be reset once a day at this point. After Tuesday’s patch everything was fine, then as the week wore on, more and more stuff broke. Right now half the events on Cursed Shore are broken, you can’t even get into Arah because the event chain is broken.
Today I was on Cursed Shore, maybe an hour, and all of all sudden my karma rewards from DE’s started dropping, like by half for each event, 301, 151, 71. At this rate, you can’t play the game normally without getting hit.
This whole anti farming stuff is getting ridiculous, why have karma boosters and magic find when we’re not allowed to farm basically? What’s the sense in having the boosters in the cash shop when we can’t even get the full duration before the anti farming codes kick in.
This game is loaded with gold sinks, but yet they don’t want people to make gold.
yep, still not working, stuck not being able to talk to crusader deborah
Sigh, same here, she won’t talk to me.
