2015-2016

Any feature that has to be selectively disabled in specific places is a feature that should not be implemented.
Game Design 101
Consistency is mandatory.
Either you enable a feature everywhere, or you don’t implement it at all. Selective enabling/disabling is disgusting and is game design failure by definition.
Didn’t know you had a Doctorates in Game Design
Also Didn’t know you were one of the 4 big decision makers from World of Warcraft…
That would be the only scenarios I can see you telling ANET how to run their game..especially in a belittling tone as you presented it. Please do link us to a game that YOU created that is doing extremely well in the market place so that we may pay homage to you almighty creator. lol
Revenant:
Currently there is not an underwater legend so…
Under Water Legendary: Archemorus
Archemorus was a Luxon hero. The Luxon Armada dwells on the Jade Sea and is one of the two vassals of the Empire of the Dragon. Archemorus is usually scene with a spear, which fits the Revenants current underwater weapon.
Skills:
Heal Skill: Turtles Blessing: A swarm of turtles swim around you, granting regeneration and protection.
Spear of Fury: Imbues your spear with the energy from Archemorus and release a devastating swarm of attacks from your spear.
Crab Hammer: A giant crab claw strikes your enemy causing knock down and stun.
Leviathans Bite: AoE that deals bleeding and poison up to 5 foes within a 300 Radius.
Elite: Amber Wave: Release a wave of amber that freezes your enemies into a block of amber, sinking them to the bottom.
or you get stuck with someone who refuses to play and afk’s 90% of the game….
Hello,
I played around with this idea for a little bit, ran it by a couple of people to ensure it would be ok. There are some concerns on this, so there will be some rules in place.
With 2015 ending and 2016 starting, I thought it would be a good idea for you guys to outline the top 3 issues that you believe ANET should address within 2016. There is a format that I do ask that you stick too:
Format:
Bug/Request/Complaint: 4-5 Word Title
CONSTRUCTIVE Couple of sentences ((no need to write a novel)) describing the Bug/Request/Complaint that you wish for them to address.
Solution:How You would solve the above:
E.g.
Complaint: Can’t Glide in PvP Lobby
I don’t understand why we can not glide in the PvP Lobby. It does not appear to be game breaking to allow this feature…. not to mention, it will give us something to do while we wait on queues.
Solution:
Allow us to glide around the PvP lobby, perhaps add an invisible wall to the starting area if you do not want people to glide to that island?
The above example is just something silly compiled so you can get a rough idea.
There are some rules for this thread, if any are broken, I will flag your post to be deleted by a moderator…. this is meant to be a constructive means to gather information, not a verbal PvP match.
Rules:
-No Profanity
-No Name Call Outs
-Keep the sarcasm to a minimal level
-Stay on topic
General Understanding:
You understand by contributing to this thread; providing it follows the rules above will be used in my upcoming weekly report on January 11th 2016. You understand that there is no guarantee or promise that any of this will be fulfilled or even worked on. You understand that at best, a developer will see this. You understand that contributing to this thread will not start a time clock mentality of “Well you guys have known about____ since ____”.
Thanks for your help and lets stay positive and constructive hopefully you guys will force me to stay awake for hours copy and pasting numerous ideas and suggestions into the weekly report.
Since Leagues have started i’ve received:
-3 Rings 1 of which was infused
-2 Armor Chests (helmet, shoulders)
-1 Weapon Chest (celestial)
Guildie who normally pvps with me received:
-4 Armor Chests
-1 Weapon Chest
Probably just bad luck or we are very lucky x)
The chat in PvP is a little too toxic. Yes, there is a block function; however, you should not be forced to turn off every chat function in the game to play it.
The Code of Conduct and General Rules for GW2 clearly prohibit any type of threats to a players being.
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/legal/guild-wars-2-rules-of-conduct/
“While playing Guild Wars 2, you must respect the rights of others and their rights to play and enjoy the Game. To this end, you may not defraud, harass, threaten, embarrass or cause distress and/or unwanted attention to other players. This includes posting insulting, offensive, or abusive comments about players, repeatedly sending unwanted messages, reporting players maliciously, attacking a player based on race, sexual orientation, religion, heritage, etc. Hate speech is not tolerated.”
We are not talking about general smack talk along the lines of “your gay” or “what are you kittened” Generally speaking, the language within PvP results in threatening other players lives and the lives of their loved ones.
The chat within PvP needs to be locked down a bit more, within reason.
What’s ok:
-Smack Talk
-1st-8th grade level of bickering ((lunch room type of bickering))
What’s not ok:
-Telling people to kill them selves
-Threatening to kill people
-Threatening to kill other peoples loved ones
-Threatening to kitten them
-Threatening to kitten their loved ones
-Threatening to kitten their pet ((i’ve actually seen this in map chat))
-Telling people to cut them selves
-Telling people to burn them selves
Don’t use freedom of speech as an excuse to get away with whatever you want, even within countries where freedom of speech exists, there are clear exceptions to the rule. E.g. saying you’re going to murder someone in public, yelling fire in a crowded building, saying there is a bomb in a building. etc.
I don’t think FSs can edit other posters’ thread titles. I’ve rarely seen the PvE FS create a thread, but I might have just missed them all. /shrug
Sorry for Double posts but just saw this after re-reading,
Forum Specialists do not have any special rights or anything.
We have the same access as anyone else on the forums, all that is different is that we have small font under our forum display names.
For those who are curious how the system works:
Forum Specialists reads forums → Gathers Constructive threads → Compiles them into a formatted document the way the developers want the information formatted.→Sent to an Email that is given to us → Wait for a response if there is one.
That’s it.
From a PvP perspective, I can guarantee that the developers are seeing the reports.
There have been some player requests and issues that have been addressed that have made it to the game ((though rarely the patch notes)) [[Mystic Forge Conduit now works btw]]
I do stay in constant contact with 3 Anet Employees. One of which I have at least a weekly convo with.
Of all the PvP issues and requests that need addressing the MF conduit being able to work has to be one of the lease significant. It’s kinda bordering insulting to fix something so mundane as glaring issues go unattended.
That is just the most recent one bug wise… other issues have been reported… just haven’t heard anything back on them. You can bug the devs for the reports if you believe none of the important issues are being reported on.
People Complain about Rng Factor of Precursors → Anet Adds Crafting for 100% Guarantee of one → People still complain
._.
I’m guessing that people who complain about price want anet to constantly update the recipes every 2-3 days to ensure the materials required is on par with what players put their precursors for?
They also stated that they won’t do a major balance or change while a pvp season is going on unless they realllllllllllly had too…
Annoying I know x_x
I would love to wear charr hide in pvp…. all of these charr guardians and warriors
Gotta remind them of their history!!! they are the prey!!! not the hunters!
Serious note though… Silver Eagle Armor please?

The biggest thing I can ask and I’m sure other FS can agree on, is to make your suggestions threads more detailed and specific.
Good Example:

A)
B)
C)
Instead
A bad example of:
I don’t like this! Refund me refund me! WoW, LoL, Puppie and cats!
Sucks that happened, hopefully they are just speaking out of anger…
Seems a little childish to say “even if they unbanned us we won’t be playing the game”
For being true guild wars fans, they are sure willing to jump ship when a screw up happens…
When South Sun Cove first came out, I was falsely banned for being a botter. Mostly because I was playing a ranger with a drake tanking. Trying to get some t6 blood for my Dreamer.
I had to spend roughly a day raising hell with Anet, when that all failed I raised hell with NCSOFT until an ANET employee relooked at the case and unbanned me. Ended up getting an apology email and compensation in the process.
Yes, you have a reason to be mad and upset if you are falsely banned; however, being a child about it and saying you’re a hardcore fan and even if you get unbanned you wont play the game again.. just LOL
Anet said they would never make Dedicated Healing Classes/Specs.
Why did you create Druid…
They could always remove Raids if that will make you feel better.
Wrong forum, but raids shouldn’t be a reason to create a broken class in PvP.
As for raids themselves, designing it to require a heal spec is just a fail on the PvE team.
Actually correct forum, on a side note you may want to read up on how this particular game is set up
Everything is synced with each other, there is no separate set of skills and traits for pve, pvp, and wvw.

Now only if we can get some hammers swinging on the toxic chat in PvP :P
((death threats have been rather high lately from salty players))Seriously you want chat banning… Block. The PvP forum specialist should also know that belongs in the PvP forums.
A player who posts on the forums should probably be up to date on what’s going on in the community. Please do make sure you are up to date on the pvp community if you are going to call someone out when it comes to PvP. You also may want to read up on the code of conduct and the general rules of what’s allowed speech wise within the game and forums. It may help you out in the long run : )
I think wishing for more than dishonor on someones cow is cause for alarm…..
PvP shouldn’t be taken to a point of wishing harm on anyone physically and if you cannot see that, you need help.
Also yes off topic and wrong forum.
The Great Job portion was sincere and on topic.
Didn’t know that adding a side note to something on topic it made it off topic
(my bad?)I’ve been here the whole time. PvP matters don’t belong in a bot farm ban thread. GG
see the second response to another player.
If adding a side note deeply offended you then my apologies

Murphy’s Law in action!
Personally, Unless you hit Legendary… the icon should not be visible in PVE/WVW
If you hit Legendary, you should have some bragging rights to run around in PVE and WvW with it on..
Diamond and below i can agree with it being hidden in PVE and WvW

What’s wrong with name dropping?
I reported one of them about 2 weeks ago and they are still queueing.
How does it make sense to report them for LFG abuse or botting? It doesn’t seem to fit.
It’s frowned upon by moderators to name drop.
It does not make sense; however, that is what we were told by Moderators and ANET devs to do…
Pretty much how every class in this game goes
“oh its utter garbage no one will play it REFUND REFUND REFUND”
Then someone thinks outside the box and finds a way to make it work.
Kudos to you
Would also suggest removing the trebs or making them a one time thing. Once destroyed, they can’t be repaired or brought back to life…. that or restrict that range to your gate only :/
Generally speaking, it’s not a good idea to name drop in the forums.
It has been advised to report them in game for LFG Abuse
I have been badgering the anet monkeys about adding a PvP specific report function but no word back yet z.z … as usual…
I have requested this in my weekly reports numerous times over the year, I have not heard anything back.
I actually like this… it prevents people from grinding pvp for 2-3 weeks and never walking back in a game, since they would have the legendary done.
I’d imagine more would come out with the next living story… the expansion is still relatively new… christmas ((sorry i meant festive times, don’t shoot me politically correct people)) is around the corner and i’d imagine they would want them to try and catch up.
They did state they were going to release 3 at a time. I’d imagine as well, that they want to make sure the first 3 are nicely polished out and working correctly before shoving the others down the tubes.
In the mean time, just work on the components that you will know for a fact you will need.
You can work on:
-Gift of Maguuma Mastery
-Mystic Tribute
-2/4 of your Legendary Gift
1) Gift of the Mists
2) 100 Icy Rune Stones
I’m still waiting on people who claim anet advertised this game as a casual friendly game to post their official sources.
Where’s the you tube videos of the game advertisement?
Where’s the official web images?
Where’s the official box art showing it?
Only thing i’m seeing is a friend of a friend of a friend who knew an anet employee said it was. Or some guy who worked at anet a long time ago said it was on an off hand conversation.
ouch… that last loss….
my condolences :X
On behalf of rangers and druids, I sacrifice a lamb in your honor for sparing us o lord from your nerf hammer….. let thy will be done…
OH HELL NO!
Kiss your strong CC goodbye! You get weaker CC like everyone else! >:(
There is no reason why bringing out your big wooden staff makes everyone around you dazed. The amount of seeds throw out isn’t blinding anymore, don’t even know how you can shoot someone a seed and blinds them…Don’t you dare say, “Please sir, I want some more.” Because it ain’t happening!
Why do you hate me so much nova </3
…..
for that i sacrifice a lamb full of salt and stds for vengeance on thy hateful soul.

1. Bad use of a pet doesn’t make the pet itself bad (you can always cancel bristleback’s F2 if neccessary).
2. You can control the smokefield. If it accidentially interferes with other fields, it is player failure and has nothing to do with the pet being bad.
3. Wyverns are even easier to counter than those two pets, even if players are less familiar with them. Just move arround and you can ignore them 99% of the time.
4. If you try hard enough you can find niche uses for everything. So the game is perfectly fine and balanced and nothing has to be changed, right?
Essentially thats the point i was trying to make with Wyverns and Fernhound before the two bromegos above decided to go on a white knight crusade of the evils of fernhound and how druid and ranger are broken because of wyvern >.< …
Tripple post, but again worth it.
Control Bunker
Look into it, it’s hilarious to knock some one off point with Glyph of Tides and have them immol off point. Free Decap, with some time… free Cap.
Hell, I’ve decapped and capped a point just in a 3v1 situation.
Knocked 3 people off point, had them immol, made progress on the decap. Heal my self back up, rinse and repeat till i had a cap.
While they were immol, had my fire wyvern cause burning and grant me might to widdle them down.
Fighting 3 people without stability and being able to decap them … That’s basically sad. That’s no offense but your opponent were awfully bad.
Another counter-argument: what makes you think you wouldn’t be able to do it with Wolf instead of the Wyvern, again? Wolf does send enemies out of point as well and it’s on demand unlike Wyvern that has only in-place knock-up on F2.
And last but not least: If you think that Fern Hound is what keeps people at 85%HP, you are most probably playing the wrong game. If you really think regeneration can keep up with Revenant’s / Thief’s / Mesmer’s or anyone’s else damage – you are definitely playing the wrong game.
CC is what keeps your allies’ HP high. Not regeneration or Fern Hound (really now…). If I wanted to get regeneration for my team I’d get Healing Spring so I could allow them to blast heal themselves. You know… “Metabattle” or “Woodenpotatoes” usually come up with builds that mostly everyone would play for efficiency even if they haven’t known any of that. Those are the builds that are efficient if you know what that means.
If a player knows what he is doing he can win even with 1 hand behind his back and not using a pet at all. But only a fool would acknowledge a terrible pet to be on par with pets that are actually useful. No offense here, but if you really believe you can 1v3 people, being able to decap them and be able to spend blasts for MIGHT and not HEALING to cap the point – that’s just a pure show of how unrealistic your experience is.
If that was possible – it would be full of competitive scene. Well you guess what. None of that happens.
Please show me in the post that you quoted, where I stated fern hound kept people at that % by it’s self. In fact, what you quoted had nothing to do with fern hound.
Eh there are a ton of bad sapphire- diamond players, there’s no disputing that…
I love how you say no offense and then include “if you know what that means”
Maybe you should watch some PvP tournies and tell me how many rangers are actually in high end teams… no offense, if you know how to get to the stream ((see what i did there, same thing you did))
I have healing coming out of my @## i can spend my finishers for might and not worry.
Again, your lack of how druids work is really showing at the moment.
I enjoy being able to do one of three things in PvP just by dropping a trait line and adding another.
1) Healer
2) Bunker Druid
3) DPS roamer
As much as other people hate them, I really love pets. They add a unique and personal touch to the class. IRL, i have a pet and when I’m in game and no one else is around >.> it’s fun to laugh at what my pet does… some times they have skriit fever and run off and attack a lonely bunny, some times they climb up on impossible to get to locations and you’re stuck laughing wondering how they got up there.
It would be very nice to see this return… I really despise that my spirits have to stand hopelessly still and wait to be slaughtered by 1 well placed aoe
I can say ‘X’ is crap in contrast to Y. In this case, X is the fernhound or any wyvern in contrast to the smokescale/bristleback combo.
NOTE 1: I can change my opinion on a matter, im not here to argue for the sake of arguing and im not arrogant. Calling someone[not accusing you] an idiot , troll or any other insult just because they do not agree with you is a really bad practice.
NOTE 2: Just a personal opinion[feel free to refute it], but I feel like the people that try to justify something that is really weak and niche are actually holding that thing back. If they instead called on Anet to buff/get it in line with other things, we might see change.
So everyone should shut up on their opinions and listen to you because mettabattle has your back. OK
You are here for the sake of arguing or you would have let people post what they felt with out insulting other pets and slavishly the people who talk about said pets.
Let’s discuss the flaws of your favorite pet combo since you enjoy constantly bringing up both Electric Wyvern and Fernhound.
1) Bristleback
Part of the meta = almost every new ranger/druid is running it.
Down fall, people should know how to counter it by now…
It’s f2 is a ton of projectiles, all you need is an ok placed reflect to watch the other team whipe from that ranger/ druid not knowing what they were doing. This goes back to a fundamental policy of Risk >< Reward. If you’re facing another rdruid, all they have to do is place Sublime Conversion then type “thank you” in map chat as you have just healed up that druids team. The animation for bristle backs F2 is very easy to spot…
2) Smoke Scale
Part of the meta = almost every new ranger/druid is running it.
Down fall, people should know how to counter it by now…
It’s F2 while nice for 1v1 and roaming, is complete garbage for team fights…. It lays down a smoke field which you can not control the location of. Because of this, you end up cancelling out vital water fields or strategic fire fields. Not to mention if it lays down its smoke field, you run the risk of it being blasted on point and having your team being stealthed on point…. thanks for the partial decap or full decap depending on the state of the point….
Now lets look at Electric Wyverns Faults:
Tail Lash: Range is 130 and does not always hit
F2: Seems to be the further away the pet is, the less of a chance it has to knock down.
Electric Wyverns faults in team fights:
Chance at lightning field over writing a water or fire field if it’s end spot lands on those fields. On the bright side, unlike smoke scale, you don’t jeopardize your teams hold of a point.
As it stands, Electric Wyvern is in a way better place than most pets for PvP.
It does have a couple of things that need to be fixed and only one of them is semi urgent…. that being Tail Lash.
I feel that people who promote a meta over anything else is really holding a class back when it comes to PvP… You’re forcing anet to craft the small class based on 1 build instead of diversifying and trying to find other niches for the class to be good at.
Lmao, so using an optimal pet = no skill?
Timing F2 spike for Bristleback = no skill?
Timing CC usage on wolf/ dog = no skill? You think the way you click F2 for pets is more skillful then?
You think you click that f2 and grant regen is such a skillful, masterful complex usage?
You think you click that f2 on Electric Wyvern to cc is more skillful than other people press f2 to activate another skill for another purpose?
What an arrogant person.
For strategic purposes yes. If you’re hindering your team by being predictable and hard countered in higher up game play then yes it matters. Please keep using projectiles from a pet in pvp, esp one that does a tone of them. Let’s put up a reflect right when see the per rear up and laugh as you kill your whole team. GG
Better yet, let me throw down Sublime conversion and laugh as you single handily heal up my team or my self in a team fight GG
Actually you defined skillful with what i put, using a pets mechanic to your advantage by fully understanding how it works. Electric Wyvern does a knock down → knowing it can interrupt a person in down state → safe stomp.
BristleBack → Hit f2 → ohhhh #’s I so pro
v
well hell… just killed my team in a team fight because of reflects
Btw, you may want to actually read my comments before posting, because I have a feeling you skimmed over a couple of sections and waved your e-rooster around while wearing your white knight armor.
My comments were originally defending Electric Wyvern, someone got kitten hurt because i included fern hound in my build. I went to defend Fern Hound, and now we are here.
Ahh… the power of literacy….
Here’s a box image for the pre-order….
Can anyone show me where on the official preorder box where it says or advertises casual?
Or do you guys mean that you were duped by a streamer or your best friend because THEY said it was for casuals?
As mentioned above, certain roles within a team do not reward points or as much points as those who run around and spam 1-2-3.
Tanks: There are situations to where tanks can go 5-10 minutes while facing only 1-2 people max. That’s 10 points.
Healers: You are not getting any credit for keeping your team alive during team fights… healing does not reward points or credit…. If you’re not able to dish out enough damage to count for tags in a fast enough pace, you aren’t going to get points till a team mate goes down for you to res them.
Generally speaking, those who get the most tags are the ones with the most points… doesn’t mean they are good at pvp… just means they are able to tag more people.
Secondly, I have 1k+ hours on my ranger/druid, over 600 ranked games on the class alone and over 1000 games played, currently in ruby playing exclusively druid [though ruby is not amazing] and have experienced and am still experiencing a linear climb. I also have high MMR and majorly get placed against opponents that understand team fights, bursting down targeted players, and rotations.
Counter Arguements:
1) See remarks
2) Druid is sufficient as a support role. What it lacks is damage/pressure, which the bristleback/smokescale combination offers. If you lock someone up down with your team, you can aid in spiking them down IMMENSLY [game changing] with just the pets. Infact, most people complain about the druid’s pets, as they reason that the druid should not have so much damage on the pets. You are removing a very OP component of the ranger atm for a rather minuscule long CD small heal.
3)The overall flaw in your post is that you assumed that I didn’t use the BM trait line[traited shouts] to bring permanent regen already to my team
Since we are going to wave our e-roosters on stats, let me pull mine out
3,867 games with Ranger/ Druid
2,008 of those being Ranked
7,310 hours on Ranger/ Druid
I also have a High MMR and constantly end up with high end teams.
I also respond to a little over 100 pms a day asking for advice in game with druid/ranger
I also write weekly reports on PvP, and reports on Ranger and Druid when requested
Climbed from Deer-Bear pre Dragon patch with just Ranger
((bunny was on my engie))
Now that we are done waving e-roosters around, lets get back to the discussion.
1) see my remarks
2) I am removing pets that everyone should know how to counter with (if not you really aren’t in a high end MMR games) with pets that offer more support. Regen and healing is something that you can never have too much of. Hell, I had a game not even 5 minutes ago to where I was able to keep my team around 80% hp against 3 Dragon Hunters, 1 Diamon Skin Tempest, and 1 Power Reaper. My little fern hound did wonders on keeping regen up. My Electric wyvern basically did a nice round of bowling when it came to knocking the other team down and allowing for easy stomps.
3) The over all flaw in your argument is assuming that people are too stupid to counter meta game play.
Now that is said, can we get back to the topic at hand or shall we continue to joust with our e-roosters?
@Wolfey
I do not see a single reason why should anyone create a whole build to keep enemies rooted and rooted and never let them move an inch just to make a pet reliable.
… Or to play a game of RNG.
Tripple post, but again worth it.

People who complain about Wyverns generally do not main Ranger or Druid for pvp…
Glad you’ve found what you think is good use from these pets, but this statement is a bit insulting. Imho, you’re gimping yourself running them.
I would say a majority of the ranger player base within PvP (rather small in comparison to other classes) prefer to use a pet that requires no skill or mental capacity to use.
It’s only insulting if there is some truth to it. If there is no truth to it, there should be no means of those words being insulting. People are generally way to lazy or refuse to alter their build to have something work.
It’s all “mettabattle” “woodenpotatoes” or “shin” builds only or go home type of mentality. If something clashes with one of the above, it’s broken or useless in their opinions.
People who complain about Wyverns generally do not main Ranger or Druid for pvp…
Here is my take on Wyverns within PvP
Electric Wyvern:
-Awesome safe stomp from their F2
-1/3 of it’s skills is a 80 range Knockback
-1/3 of it’s skills is an aoe cripple
-Nice round stats with 1,868 power, 2,211 toughness, 2,898 vitality
The power stat can be a little higher but it’s not vital to make it an awesome pet.
Fire Wyvern:
-Consuming flame is hard to understand for rookie rangers and druids, this is an f2 skill that you can NOT spam in 1v1’s and win with. This skill is a channel skill which is it’s biggest weakness. When channeling, it creates a fire field that pulses 6 times dealing 2 seconds of burning for every pulse. At the completion of the channeling, the aoe becomes a fire field that can be blasted by you or allies (staff 3 anyone?)
The best way to use this skill, is towards the start of the game at the initial mid fight. Generally in any type of fight that is > than 3. That way, your pet is able to apply all of that nice burning to the enemy team.
-1/3 of it’s skills is a 80 range Knockback
-1/3 of it’s skills is an aoe cripple
Really for the fire wyvern, removing the channeling and increasing its condition stat would make it a viable pet for rookie rangers and druids within pvp.
I have two different builds that I run, both of which are pretty successful imo.
One variation, I end up using: Fern Hound + Electric Wyvern.
Another Variation, I end up using Lynx + Fire Wyvern
One variation I have been testing is more of a condi control build that uses both wyverns. Fire for team fights and Electric for stomps + constant knock backs,
Please Anet; could you give us an alternative achievement to do for this section?
I’m not asking for it to be easier; I’m just asking for it to be possible to complete without getting sick.
I think lowering the number from 3 to 1 should be more than enough… I really mean no offense to you or anyone else who suffers from motion sickness… but if anet were to lower achievements for cosmetic items due to a health complaint, there would be little to no grind for anything.
E.g.
Headaches from frustration having to play 10+ games of Ranked PvP a day to put a dent into the Legendary PvP backpiece.
I use to get motion sickness when I was younger from playing PC games.
Some things that I did that helped
1) If you’re using a 3D monitor, get rid of it…. get a nice refresh rate LCD or LED monitor.
2) Try to modify your settings, even though it may not be pretty, having things look a little more flat would be beneficial for you.
3) Take some medication, obviously people are going to scream “I SHOULDN’T HAVE TO TAKE MEDICINE TO PLAY A GAME”
Ok, but I take 2 Tylenol before i go into a PvP frenzy… just from how frustrating people can be and the idiocy in map chat.
If it’s something you really want, you’re going to have to end up making some type of sacrifice to acquire it. I really want the PvP Legendary Back Piece, and I have no problems sacrificing a bottle-two of Tylenol to grind my way through leagues.
In regards to the shoulder skin, I do think anet should be reasonable and make it a complete once and done.
I strongly disagree with the idea of removing JP from the shoulder req.
This sets a very bad precedence if this happens… i can see it now…
“It’s too hard to pvp and my fingers hurt from pvping to much… please remove pvp from the requirements of the legendary pvp back piece”
Eh, I don’t think Dervish is a nice fit with Ranger base… maybe something unique like:
Shaman – Offensive Nature Magic – Scepter?
Warden- Heavy CC Melee – Hammer?
Scout- Evades – Main Hand Dagger or off hand sword?
idk
Anet stated on reddit ( go figure lol…) that this is being re-evaluated.
Hopefully they won’t sit on their hands too long on this….
I do feel your pain though, I had to have guildies camp the map and try to get on a different ip. After 3 days of trying and failing, one of my guildies got lucky enough to end up on a newly opened map and I was able to taxi over and have it completed.
From what i’m seeing the newbies aren’t really the issue….
3 Days camping that event and at least 75% of the people killing the event are people with 100+ masteries… 15% of the kills were from Necros running with their minions and their minions just aggro and kill it… the other 10% being newbies at level 15-20 who have no clue what they are doing.
This is mostly just kittens trolling people who really want this done….
Currently it’s nearly impossible for Nevermore seekers to mark this event off of their to-do list… I do suggest a couple of ways to fix this, both of which would help a lot and prevent 1-2 people from purposely trolling anyone who is trying to do this event.
1) Increase the difficulty of the Shaman from Veteran status to Champion Status.
2) Have the trophy be a drop from killing the Shaman instead.
The first one, would make it difficult for 1 person to solo troll the event. Currently, he is to squishy and can be rekt by a Necros minion or a Rangers Pet…
The second option, would remove grieving of any type. This would remove trolling 100% from the people who don’t want anyone to acquire Nevermore.
Something does need to be done about this…. 1 level 80 troll should not screw over numerous people who want to finish this LONG collection for a required piece of Nevermore….
