This forum really is a comedy goldmine. Anyway here are some stats from this week;

- JQ should be thankful to their Asian & European support; their NA prime squad would’ve lost the match to SoR by 3.5k points (18:00 – 02:00 EST).
- JQ’s off-peak presence generated a 50k+ point advantage over SoR.
- No notable changes in performance since Monday morning compared to the weekend; biggest being JQ gaining 1.15 percentage point.
- Compared to last week: JQ +1.75 percentage point, SoR +0.43 & BG -2.18 (ouch).

Data: Millenium.org, time in EST, ticks include downed cows and sentries. X-axis values represent the average tick in a given hour (p.e. 23:00 means 23:00-23:59).

If the match was in doubt we wouldn’t have had any issue pushing hard in NA prime. I know I for one took the past two days to sort of relax and do some PvE/Guild Bounty’s and I know Strike Force did a lowbie night. Both of which wouldn’t have happened if the match was close.

I think people might forget this sometimes. I’m a sucker for stats, and all the power to you for analyzing server performance, but when evaluating JQ, the data is only useful if they are giving a match everything they got (in terms of numbers), which I personally don’t think they’ve done once throughout and entire week since the JQvBGvSoR matches began. JQ puts in just enough effort to win comfortably, and that’s about the extent of it. This is how BG got their win. The lead was left too slim and BG made a sprint at the end of the week that JQ couldn’t react to in time.

BG pushed us and deserved that win. You hit us square in the face and we didn’t recover and props to those involved it was crazy definitely led to a crazy fun reset as well. I know BG was a little worn out after the push but it was easily the craziest two weeks of WvW i’ve ever been a part of even if PPT /Score etc doesn’t reflect it.

For others sure… for me, I have the guild roster which gives both the members and a count of the members we have online. Unless there is a known bug in both that and in the teamspeak display….

That’s the crazy thing about someone else’s perception of things, it isn’t yours.

My guess is that Raw’s numbers are including friends.

In fact at one point last night I think I called out something like – “Yeah it’s like they called everyone, their friends, neighbors, countrymen, and their moms. Yes their moms!” <Not pertaining to TW as I don’t believe we were on the same map but yeah.>

TW doesn’t field anything even remotely close to 50. Like I said, at peak we are 15-25 people total each night. I think I would have much better perspective about that than you considering I know first hand. We don’t even have that many active players, even if you do throw in the recruit guild of people applying for membership. I do appreciate ou thinking we have 50 people though :p

It was the first I heard about it as I’ve been on fairly infrequently but I after chatting to my guys they have stated they only went over to say ‘GG’ etc, talking about the match in general. One of my guys chatted with calm little buddy, so there is your witness. If you have anything to disprove it otherwise, provide it with evidence and I’ll see it rectified. Otherwise you’re just spreading false rumours.

If BG wins this match, was it the siege griefing that made the difference? Most likely not, but it will always be there as a cloud over what was otherwise an awesome match.

It’s funny I have pictures of TW and TWL more than a few trying to take Bay. And there was a little Asuran in white clothes with a commander tag from TW. You may want to ask your guild again because they obviously left you out.

Edit: It wasn’t your usual size and was definitely a mob of pugs, but they were still out.

It is true that when SOR pushes they are a great NA team, I don’t see anyone denying that, at least I am not. Those four days you guys pushed and lead in much of NA.

The problem is, you guys don’t understand that when BG pushes they lead NA in PPT and when JQ pushes they lead NA in PPT. lol All three of our NA teams are very close. And it depends on how rested each time is, and how much they show up, like always, bodies.

1st off we only had about 15 and the rest were random. At most we had 25-30 total. Might have seemed like more due to how quickly you died. So I can forgive your blatant exaggeration.

2nd – FEAR was not invited to your little “casual” event so we felt slighted and acted accordingly. Next time it would behoove you to possibly send us an invite.

3rd – We were farming badges all evening (all week for that matter) and seeing that the map was rather quiet we went to where the badges could be found. It’s WvW my friend so complaining about being killed in any BL is rather pointless.

4th – yes we were bored. Thank you for providing us with a laugh before we logged for the night.

Map was quiet? We had Hills; we had our tower, camps, plus NE tower. Our PuGs were wiping you time and time again last night. Maybe not at first, but you would die just the same.

In fact you sat next to S camp for a good 2-3 minutes before finally heading south into the GvG. You must’ve been waiting for the most opportune time. Stay classy!

LOL we came up with a fun way to counter that mark craziness. Worked about 50% of the time at least.

It was good fun whislt in BGBL. The first time that I saw SF doing it was when we were taking Hills and I was watching inc coming from N door as people came in the door they just melted on the ground.

Then Briar same thing, but that pesky Asuran Mesmer got through.

And the multiple hold on Lake was good fun.

I don’t see any golds there indicating a first place.

The first two weeks on that site don’t seem to have scores for the NA matchups. So it isn’t exactly fair. I personally don’t remember which server won those first two weeks, but they were probably HoD. I seem to recall them winning like a couple week-long matches before their alliance jumped ship.

HOD was my original server. We were in Tier 1 but never came in 1st. I came to Blackgate in mid Oct.

They might have won those 1st couple weeks that aren’t listed on the medals chart but I really don’t remember winning them. I remember a long streak in the beta and I think that’s the number they are referring to when they said they went 7-0. The medals page is only missing the 1st 2 or 3 weeks not 7. As for the 30-0 against other alliances/servers I’m not sure what they meant by that either. Spvp maybe. The whole post doesn’t really make sense. I started on HOD on release day.

The game released the end of August they started with the short matches then went to three days, then went to the week matches of which the first two weeks were not recorded on MoS. HoD won all the short matches. Also I do believe they were including the beta weekend ones. And also the first two weeks I believe.

Our off-hours team is just getting destroyed. We don’t have enough people to have scouts on the map and our small 15 man team just keeps running into JQ’s 25 man teams over and over again.

At this rate it we’ll be lucky to get 5 people into WvW in the morning hours by the end of the week.

I agree it should be lowered. I always thought three groups make a nice strong grouping in WvW. I think it should be limited to 15.

What he is saying is that it isnt important what they say. Blackgate will prove its worth on the battlefield one way or another. Honestly you shouldn’t be concerned about what trolls say in this thread or any other.

The spotlight is always on T1 servers, and how each server reacts to those that deal with situations like this is important. At the end of the day just make plans to dedicate yourself to showing what BG is made of on the field, and not in the forums.

Most of us can’t wait to get a server that will fight. We are very happy to be receiving BG again.

I say we all fight for as hard and as we can for as long as we can and let the score fall where it may. Win, lose, or draw it should prove a fun time.

Say what you will about JQ, but at least the core guilds don’t hop around searching for greener grass. At least not that I recall. JQ didn’t crumble just because we placed second or third several weeks in a row.

Sorry, I’m usually nice and don’t like to stir up trouble, but this server hopping thing is just silly (especially now that an entire guild has to pay for it). Stick to your server and do your best…don’t go jumping around and then be proud of your “victory”.

And before anyone says anything….I am directing this towards the guilds that joined JQ as well. I personally didn’t ask for them (nor did I want them). While I will continue to fight alongside them they will always hold less respect in my eyes, compared to those of us that picked one server and stuck through from the beginning. Nothing will ever change that.

I’d like to ask you to put one thing in to perspective. JQ was a dying server at one point in time. The time some of us chose to join JQ was a quote, unquote “time of need.” The coverage gaps were there, some of us guilds that you speak of that are newer transfers came from the same type of situation and didn’t want to see those we have spent so much time with in game suffer like we were elsewhere. The big thing is not having anyone to play with. That’s some serious kitten right there. How would you feel being a lone team out there struggling against mass numbers getting your kitten handed to you by zerg after zerg? Does that sound like fun? Well…for our team it kinda was..for a period of time, but it gets old and stale being whipped like an animal with having multiple guilds on you, because you would be one of the last few teams out there for your server. Think about those teams that did transfer and where their home was before the came over before you make a generalization of a lot of us.

The majority of the teams you have with you now came from a similar dying situation and did not want to go through that anymore. It revived the game for a lot of gamers and made things a lot less tense. It’s a good feeling. Hell, on a personal note, I can finally do PvE content and get called names in PM’s for it now

Just somethin’ to think about man, a lot of us have been in that dire straights situation, to where your funometer is running low due to lack of people to game with. It’s a different gaming experience on a populated server that is WvW focused than one that is not.

I wouldn’t get at all upset about it. The guy openly refuses to be a part of the community that he has played with since the beginning. He has only his frame of reference and not that of the community as a whole.

He’s one of few people that believe the way he does.

Apology accepted, and I did credit you with the statement that we are in need of some reorganizing of some of our guild strategies. We are still growing and learning as guilds and a server to play this game. I mean, with all this talk I feel like we as SoR sometimes forget that we have only been in T1 for a short time compared to these other two servers. We still have a long ways to go in terms of competing with these battle hardened guilds, and we are progressing nicely IMO. I think we can stand toe to toe with any SoS or JQ guild in the open field, but we now need to start focusing on other aspects of the game in order to be more competitive if we want to stay here in T1.

This is a really great message. I applaud you for it and believe you have a very level head on your shoulders.

I apologize for lumping all of SoR into that claim, certainly just because I’ve never seen a choo or TW commander leading anything but a ton of other choo or TW + accompanied (PC Term) “militia,” doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen: anecdotal evidence is rarely relevant.

The point was that if SoR wants even fights, they needed to learn to split single guilds into multiple BL’s, to match their opponents movements, instead of just whining about their opponents not wanting to fight. They’ll get their fights, and they might actually get some PPT too.

I’d rather use PuG’s, militia is demeaning.

I dread the day they ever even think about putting something like this in. Keeping track of peoples k/d ratio does nothing but kill good fights. People are to worried about their ratio to ever fight a fight unless they know they are going to win.

Track total kills all you want but never track K/D ratios.
