We don’t have Oceanic* comparable to SoS. While we do have Oceanics (Aussie’s and what not) they don’t have near the numbers to hold down 4 map’s at the same time like SoS can. We have SEA presence that has never been disputed. And I don’t think anyone least to my knowledge has termed any of the guilds coming to JQ as “bandwagongers” but if you want to call them that feel free it might be why your not getting guilds

Not really, just watched 18 VoTf wipe the whole FoO zerg, got a little bit of a kitten.
Our server didn’t get the guilds simply because we are #1 and have been #1 for months, we recruited what we needed to fill our coverage gaps; ND, VoTf we didn’t bother stacking all our coverage zones, now in hindsight probably should of but oh well. We’ll see next week, till then GL VotF smash em!

How am i wrong? The mass recruit happened, a minimum of 7 large WvW guilds poured in and is stopping SoS from retaking what JQ take in euro hours.

I prefer the casual nature and gank squad of lower tier. More fun, less zerging.

And less people to fight. There is still a lot you can do as a small roaming group amidst zergs of people. I and my roaming band of merry men (and woman) do so every time we’re out. Also even when my guild is not on I find others like me and group with them.

For sure people in other tiers will tell you there’s is better because they want more people.

Spent some time last night in EBG and what great fights we had, I wanted to give a shout out to RG from JQ, we at KnT have never faced you until last night, and holy cow you guys are spot on. I really just wish that culling issues can be dealt with. It sucks to have such good fights and i cant see half of you until its too late. Please Arena Net fix it!

Seriously though it was a blast, you got the better of us a few times, but we learned your tactics and started watching you and eventually like the 7th time we engaged RG we were able to break your line. Super tough and very well cordinated though guys. I can see why other guilds have fits with you. Hell we outnumbered you too for the most part. Much respect guys and looking forward to fighting you again.

I saw them jump in as SoS was about to take our keep on EB. From my first call out to them saving the day took all of 50 seconds. They are beastly. I was actually afraid of them and they couldn’t hit me!

At one time or another everyone is a pug. What does pug mean? Pick up group. Why we label random people as a random pick up group is beyond me. However, it does sound cute when ppl start calling each other puggles… I hate those dogs btw.. Anyway, in society 2 is a couple, 3 is a crowd, 4 is a group, 5 is a gang by municipal standards and if you are traveling in a group in said size you can get ticketed…at least where I grew up, it was kitten

In our gaming terms to cut things short, when you have 4+ you could consider yourself a guilded group. Anything less than that, consider yourself a pug, even if you are a leader of some self-proclaimed prestigious guild.

So, you are all pugs, get over yourselves. We have formed our guilds and groups of random people that we have met over time, just because we wear a kitten tag doesn’t make us gods. We are all Pick up Groups.

I soooo have to go create a guild called “Puggies Untie [PU]” now.

In reference to number 1, calling people that aren’t part of a big WvW guild militia is a bit demeaning.

Some of these people have been in WvW since the beginning. I believe that many of these people are the reason why servers win. Not the big groups in WvW. They may get things started and going and help to move people around, but it’s the little jobs that people do out there (outside of the big guilds) that wins the wars week after week.

I’ve noticed a pattern to our server match postings every week. Friday through Saturday we got a lot of “Good luck, great match guys! Let’s have fun” with a few trolls. Sunday we get a few “wow, you guys really threw us, fun match, See you on the battlefield” and a few accusations of hacking, or 2v1 or even zergfest comments thrown in. Monday and Tuesday it starts to be more and more 2v1, zergfest or “lulz you guys fail. No organization, pvdoor must be nice” comments.

The end of the week it’s a few “hey guys, I respect you, nice match” but mostly "blanket accusation. Blanket smack talk. Quote and totally misrepresent what you just said to make you look like an kitten "

Can we please respect each other? And stop blanket blaming an entire server because one person from that server hacks/talks smack/is a jerk?

You say that, but I doubt you’re counting your PVE players. They make up quite a bit larger of the population than a WvW person might think.

I think you read way into my compliment here. [Work] is prepared for this tactic. Our alliance is prepared for this tactic. The majority of our server is. I, however, got caught with my pants down during 1 hr of fighting. My guild’s prime time was not for another hr or so, there was NO commanders on EB, and the few guildies I had with me were just trying to stop the bleeding. I suppose it is SoS’s fault for not having a server wide TS and running training/ tactic meeting for the entire server, but we rely on each specific guild to choose to come to our server meetings, sending a representative, and we branch out that way. If militia on SoS continue to run solo or in samll guilds, we can only do so much for them in helping them become prepared about what is happening with evolution of the meta game here. They need to reach out to Kurthos, myself, Coron, Jed, any of the commanders on SoS and get involved. You can expect only so much if you just run the same old traits, log on, type B and queue for EB. We do have a community here. There is only so much you can do in map chat during a fight. As far as Commanders being disrespectful in map chat of EB or any other map… I can assure you they DO NOT wear my tag or any of the Aoi alliance, so quoting me and speaking of that in general statements doesn’t settle well with me. If you do have issues with people in chat, you can report through customer service. But thank you for your constructive criticism, and it sounds like you are from SoS; if so PM, come and voice your opinion during our server meetings… we all want to hear what you have to say, and maybe coming to it, would shed some light on what our community is doing, working on, to address this tactic. Furthermore, we do have our own server forum. Join it, come hang out.

I honestly don’t see how JQ NA can support that many primetime players. When we were there, we had 2-4 hour queues during primetime(the main reason for us leaving JQ). Yes, we left, but that gap was filled by other primetime guilds. Did the smaller/non-guilded players just stop playing in WvW or something?

I have a feeling the NA primetime queues are going to be ridiculous again, someone messed up on their math somewhere. PRX takes up a full BL on their own, and SF takes up half of a BL from what I saw(if they came with allies, then probably the whole BL as well).

Good pickups by JQ regardless if queues aren’t an issue. Wish our old server the best of luck to that #1 spot.

As we’ve said many times the queues over the weeks are non-existant. We may get a queue of 5 minutes in primetime. On reset max was 15 minutes for me. We like every other server (I believe) have had our losses of people to other games. Since we had so many people our losses may have been greater than you realise.

Our dedicated picked up and kept at it. Long after people thought that we would fold. Why because that’s just part of being a honey badger, that’s why.

We’ve been coordinating in our own forums as well, unfortunately the masses don’t go there often.

If anyone is in game please ask that they other people in LA, and major PVE areas log out for a couple of hours.

It is to the benefit of the whole server in doing so. It would mean better XP, better loot, etc from a better score.

But please be nice and only ASK that they do this.

Very true! Week after week their is an ebb and flow. Some servers to better one week, and the next they don’t. Just look at the constant changes in servers that have been in T1 as an example. Things change constantly.

[SICK] Plague is a guild that originated from DAoC, we were from many servers across the land and formed up on Gareth Mid where we rolled 8-12 out the gate, and into the storm.

When WAR was released we transferred to that game onto Ostermark where we gained new like minded members and new alliances of guilds.

When we heard about this game we looked for some of our old friends from other games and heard about the gw2relics page. Where we decided to join Jade Quarry and found our home on the Jade Quarry forums pre-release. We’ve been on Jade Quarry since the beginning and although the guild has gone through changes we’re always around.

We are a small guild of no more than 20-25 members. Three nights a week we meet up for fun, mayhem, and artichoke/anchovies pizza (not really) in WvW. We are likely out in WvW a lot more than that, but there are some official days.

It was kind of funny last night:
Raw: “You guys new?”
Us: “lol no”
Malice: “You wouldn’t know us we don’t zerg.”
Me: “Doh!”

So my hat off to the smaller aimed guilds out there in WvW. We’re doing what we do the best; being a kitten thorn in the side of our enemies.

Guilds such as:
[SbS],[SG],[CoF],[MWH],[Rev],[OPSN], and all of the smaller guilds that are with us that for whatever reason I can’t remember (sorry – brain fried too much pizza).

Jade Quarry (although in T1) is very PuG driven. We fight with what we have out there. We have a server wide TS3 to communicate better, and we go out win/lose/or draw we have fun. As you do stuff with the people out there you learn.

We get plenty of small fights in T1 if you’re looking hard enough. You also get zerged down quite a bit.

The best thing you can do is go out knowing you’re going to get rolled, then be happily surprised if you’re not.

Some guilds have big egos. There’s no getting around this. Just try to explain the situation as best you can.

If they make jokes to you, or ignore you then they are part of a problem. There is no “pro” in this game everyone gets schooled at some point. Hopefully when it happens you pick yourself up and go “wow, I got schooled. I won’t make that mistake again.”

Just make sure when you question something they did do it in a non-threatening way. Often times I have used /whisper to the commander instead to save them some embarrassment.

Why would they you’ve collected them. Should your inventory go away? Furthermore you can also just kill krait in the area and do the same thing.

They’re not hidden if you get close enough you can see them. The Ctrl feature can be used everywhere to see the names above things that are in the distance. I often do this on gathering nodes as well.

This is also how BG just got to T1 from T2, by having vastly better coverage than their opponents.

I think everyone forgot to mention that quaggans throw up white swords on the enemy keeps they go up against, which can be valuable in that it makes it look like a ninja is going down. This also effects a waypointed keep by contesting it.
