the way things are now is perfectly fine, huge content patches every few months, along with LS updates which include minor patches, I wouldn’t have it any other way… spent hundreds in the gem store already to support further :P
Auto login/play is non-functional (other than when you log in it will go to game,) pre-update it would automatically login and play for you, now you have to log in manually.
On my i5 3470, 550 ti, 8 gb ram, I was able to get about 45-60 on highest(1600×900), and on an 860 w/ i7 4710 8 gb ram I get around 100 fps highest(1920×1080), if that helps at all. some areas were worse on the 550, namely one of the fractals.
Same issue here. Auto login will not automatically login, though I can hit enter and it will proceed fine.

ctags are fine the way they are… why even pay attention to them in pve? I tag up in pve just to tag up.
it’s been "approved’ it doesn’t modify the game, it’s just an overlay. I use steam overlay on gw2 myself.
Wait, I’m confused. What part of the game is this post about: PvE, PvP or WvWvW?
Players can’t kill other player in PvE, so that’s out.
In PvP there’s a spawn where the enemies can’t enter -> killing at spawn is impossible.
In WvWvW you can’t enter the enemie spawn either because of legendary defenders. Also the spawn has multiple exits, so camping them all requires quite the manpower.And isn’t zerging single players or smaller groups a legitimate tactic? Why would A-Net do anything against that? And what does this have to do with camping corpses? Is there some secret way of standing up again after being defeatet that I don’t know about? Except of Revival-Orbs, which are way too expensive for repeated use.

I like the new leveling system, never seen this pole before. add me to like new leveling changes.
So, as you’ve probably noticed ANet, a very big part of the community is unhappy about some of the changes introduced by the feature pack, including:
- New leveling system
- Personal story rework
- Re-introducing bugs
- Camera auto-adjusting and moving on its own will
- Gone minis
- Non-sense nerf on particular skills
- Breaking auto-login
- Stealth changes to HotW story mode, CoE story mode, Arah Path 2, toggling the paths to be impossible to complete
- Stealth changes to Twilight Arbor Up where the Nightmare Tree doesn’t do AoE spike attack and the number of Nightmare turrets is significantly reduced
- Stealth changes to Fractals
As well as not addressing problems that have been around:
- No rework on the terrible traits system
- Bugs that have been reported repeatedly and are yet not fixed
And if I have to be honest about the feature pack, I have to admit that I’m absolutely loving the fact that you merged guild instances that were spread out, but apart from that, the whole feature pack seems more like “Lets get stuff out while throwing dust in their eyes by changing the UI”
As a QA team leader in an IT company and a passionate PvE player of GW2, I have one very simple question to ask: What does your QA/Testing team consist of? There’s no way, a person could miss the newly introduced Arah pt2 bug. The only logical explanation to me would be that either your team performed very simple unit testing and passed on the regression testing as a whole or that they’re the worst PvE players I’ve seen if they can’t do the skip to Belka (Solution: Give them guardians running in full nomad and 4 hours so they can kill all the mobs to Belka if you have to!).
Please, ANet, realize that many of the changes are unwanted and unnecessary. I love this game so much that I used to spend 10+ hours per day on it but now I just feel disappointed and discouraged to play it any longer. Please, listen to your player base.

To echo what Gaile said in the aforementioned thread brought up by Healix, key farming is not considered an exploit.
You say its not an exploit, but you sure made it a much more time consuming process. I almost feel like this is the only reason you changed the story content, as there is no positives from limiting players from accessing content immediately upon starting the game… Its a real shame your going that route to trying to push people to pay for keys who were never going to buy them to begin with.
Hardly any more time consuming than it was before, you can still farm dungeons for the gold or high level fractals in about the same amount of time to get keys via gold.
The key is… Bosses scale based on your map size, if you have less people it will still be doable, infact, easier.
So basically you want to join the most popular world all the time? Just stay on the world your on and try to beat the boss.

I see no problem with adding a reward track that gives a black lion key at the end. It defently consumes more time than key farming. But the questions is, is there anything good in it for pvpers? We only want the weapon skins, so maybe let them add the tickets as reward. But then the question ist how much time should 1 ticket consume because normally there would be the rng envolved.
So I like the idea but I think it can’t be implemented.
Considering sPvP was streamlined with pve equipment and what not; all in all you’re still going for the same reward; what else is the point of the vet/champ boxes that just give mystic clovers/obsid shards/etc, those regularly arent’ usable in pvp.

it’s kinda painful especially since you can only tp 10 items at a time, opening it during a dungeon really feels sluggish when you’re trying to quicksell some stuff, you have to make sure you have 3 free seconds; when you shouldn’t need to wait any period of time…

Is this normal? Upon pressing o, the game freezes for 2 seconds while it opens tp; it didn’t used to do this in 2013 but now it does…

You can use all other bundle type objects while transformed, you could be a princess doll with a sniper rifle, or a candy corn giant with a bomb, and so forth; why can’t you use instruments while transformed? I’d love to play my harp as princess doll.
first time I’ve ever heard of this bug, but clicked this thread because it happened to me today :\, I like to keep 5-6 slots for my inv window, and for some reason it reset to 4 and looked really awkward.
I hope a dev checks it out, it’s such a strange bug… all sound is unable to be heard except the one looping sound, whatever it may be, I suspect a memory leak of some sort… every time before the time I listed it happened in pvp I believe… but it’s so random I can’t really say what triggers it.
It was a conscious effort on the part of Anet to introduce more content where the mentality of “ZERG THE kitten OUTA ALL THIS kitten” leads to failure.
And it kinda worked. The 20-50 man zerg-a-boss-at-a-time strat takes upwards of half an hour. I’ve sat through that, and never want to again.
Flipside, I’ve been in a map where the commanders were very concise about their requests, leaders communicated with themselves and the rest of the players. 1 gold and 2 very close silvers, before I had to scoot off. I could’ve burst out into song, I was so amazed at how well it worked.
And I giggled as my inventory ’sploded with loots. (Mostly greens, but hey, that salvaged into some good T6 mats!)
our group, I commaned shurakk, 1 commander for each zone, maximum of 10 per zone except boom, who must be 9 so that heal turrets don’t spawn, 5+ golds in a row, I lost count.
To do this event we get all bosses to 10% and then wait for someone to yell off burn, then we burn them down to 0 at the same time so that they don’t have the added abilities. If you can’t cooperate with that, the most you’ll get is silver, once in a blue moon.
I concur; it gets contested if you’re not in the zone, which makes no sense since it can’t be contested?
Every now and then randomly one sound will play over and over, and if you try to leave game by conventional means (exit to desktop) the game will not leave, and instead freeze. Last time it happened it was during aetherblade hideout fractal during golem battle, and it was an elctric throbbing sound nonstop
Just finished figuring out the beginning of my favorite catchy tune from Angel Beats. There’s two notes on the last two lines that physically can’t go high enough so they sound slightly off, but it’s still immediately recognizable by any fan.

champ boxes make sense since they’re exotic to begin with, and exotic ones only drop t5-6, but the regular loot boxes too?

…Only scale the masterwork+ item to your level and the rest of the loot be level 80? Seems to happen every loot box I open, I thought it was all supposed to scale to your level; but opening on my lv 10 I get the level 14 masterwork item, then tier 5-6 mats and lv 80 weps/armor

I think at the end of every reward tier inside the vet/champ box should be a BLK, If people can still farm bLK’s why aren’t there other ways to get them? (other than map complete)
It is a hard game to quit because it is addictive.
One reason for the disappointment is the realization that no matter how much time one spends in this game there would be another carrot coming to tempt you and there would be seemingly endless carrots after that one. Why would one lose time for rest and sleep over it?
If the game is addicting then you like it and nothing needs to change.

I was actually having a reasonably good time doing the crown pavilion even with the crappy loot. It’s nice they listened and buffed them!

It was. Are you referring to the anti-zerg? It’s been getting more and more coordinated and it’s actually very refreshing to do small group coordinated assaults. People were hating on it at first because it took forever and gave garbage loot, but that’s less the case now.
coordinated open world is the worst thing Anet tried, it doesn’t work. People don’t listen, guild have to create overflow because they don’t want to deal with random people. 6 champions bag for 10-30 minutes? which will most likely be greens and blues.
Last year pavilion was much better, I remember farming destroyer and bandit and actually getting something decent and having more fun than those annoying bosses ( when people killed 5 bosses and are all scaling the last one with all the buffs.
Looks like the only decent way to make gold is still dungeons and selling arah.

I hate doing events Commanding and then getting Suppressed.
Today I was commanding the bandit Boom Boom boss I was also looking out for Heal Turret and would Post (Not posting skill) but actually typing out “heal” or “turret” or “Fight here” to not get Suppressed and sometimes I still would, this is ridiculous we need to be able to call something out more than 2-3x in a 10min period.
100% agree, it’s the only mmo I know to do this, What is the point of an MMO if you can’t communicate between players?

When I saw this in patch notes, I thought they did away with suppression… Honestly, I don’t feel the suppression system is handled right, Let people talk/say what they want, if they go out of line report/block them as you see fit, but let them talk and coordinate. it’s insane how quickly you can get suppressed in any battle, or any situation, even saying thanks for being revived.

I don’t believe it ever backtracks. Once you have reached a certain percentage of the amount needed, it matters not how much you keep in your bank. Else, we would have all lost our Golden Title with the release of the Wallet. Lol.
This is correct, I haven’t had close to 200g since that day, waaay behind, but it’s always irking me to get the 200g when I can’t get anywhere near that atm xD
Or you can get closer to completion for another achievement. It shows the 2 closest to completion achievements.
Also, you can complete any and all achievements at any times, not just those in the summary panel.
yeah; but it’s convenient to use summary panel to see what achieves you’re close to is it not? and if this one is blocking it that’s one less I can’t see.
Is there a way to not track certain achievements? At one point I amassed about 194 gold, but wasn’t even aware of the achievement; now when I try to look at achievements that I am close to completing it’s always there, taking 1/3 of the slots, and I can only see 2 that I can complete at a time; is there any way to turn off the tracking for certain achieves?
I literally cannot think of a single situation where it would be easier to type that then to move my mouse “all the way up”. It’s not that far. Really. It’s not hard.

maybe not you, but I type 200 wpm and it’s much easier to type that than to navigate the mouse while i’m in the middle of combat; Besides, it’s inconsistent. You can create join and leave parties with chat commands, and you can leave and join squads with chat commands, but not create.
There’s a /squadleave /squadjoin, etc, but there’s no way to put your tag up with a chat command which may be a bit more convenient in some scenarios than moving your mouse all the way up to create; any plans to make a /squadcreate command?
tbh that kind of things should be hot fixed instantly , this only show how badly is this game disegned
Sorry if you think that way; but coding is a lot harder than you think.
If you get gold reward (have 3-6 commanders split up lead groups, or have players themselves split up between all, ) the bosses scale to players fighting them and less players = way less hp, you get way more reward.
If you really want to do this, just tag up before you enter spvp, and your blue commander tag will appear to all your teammates in game, you can simply issue orders like you would normally.

Some games have a timer in spawn so that you can’t sit in it for extended periods. Perhaps have something similar, if you sit in spawn for X amount of time you are kicked from the game and get dishonor. It’s not a perfect system because they could just leave spawn but in addition to a report for leeching option it would be helpful.
If that happens there could be a /surrender option that the team that just lost a player can use that give the other team a win but doesn’t give them a loss. Nothing is more annoying than having to fight a losing battle because you don’t want to get dishonor.
system is already in play; is it not? If you sit in spawn for 2 minutes or so, you’re kicked to main menu, and if you don’t return to game before match ends, you are dishonored.
