You’re still lucky, you need only 3 run of the citadel to regain the 180 tokens. Path 1 takes only ~15 min.
1/ Fractals should be more accessible. This will be changed as per the update notes
2/ all exotic items should be upgradeable to ascended with an MF recipe requiring crafting profession “gifts”.
3/ Many MF recipes should be ascended quality per default. I’m thinking of Ilya/Lyss, Triforce Amulet and other extremely expensive MF skins.
4/ Requirements should be both dropped and spread out. 20 karka shells/passion flowers are more than plenty. Ecto requirements should be rebalanced too. Making specific gems over crafts would also be a good idea.
5/ Every zone in the world should have an internal goal that leads to a unique ascended piece of gear. EG: 250 green wood plank + 250 copper + gift of nobleman + 100 centaur gems (1 per event in queensdale) should lead to the Crown of Queensdale.
6/ Personal Story should give you all the materials for an ascended class item. Not required to save them up, you can make gold of them but the drops should be tailored to your character, not random.
I like these (except for the 100 gems, 1 per event, a lot of farm for only an Helm)
The game is great.
But I would like to see some of the stuff they promised they’d add. Because many of the things I bought the game for (personal home instances for example), haven’t been implemented yet. And some things I specifically DIDN’T buy the game for (gear threadmill), were implemented.
So let me rephrase: the basis for this game is great. If the stuff that was promised gets implemented, it could go to brilliant.
THIS.
And: actually necromancer DO HAVE a lot of bugged skills/traits or bad design choiches (forceful jagged horr if you spend 5 points in Death Magic?).
Engineers also do.
It doesn’t mean that everybody dislike their class, just that this game need to be polished.
I answered this post 2 days ago to show my complain about the issue ( only need about 90 Gold to complete my Legendary ) and they just delete my post and put me a infraction, i dont swear or insult anybody, i can quote the same post that here how proof , the most offensive that i wrote is that i was begin grow tired of only read things like “we are looking ….” by developers for weeks/months in the sames issues ( legendary weapons transmutation, pvp, etc..)and never a clear answer or a fix, but it seem that they dont like it, i wont post in a topic where they delete the things that they dont like, sorry.
It happened to me too, the mod deleted it because it was “off topic” (it wasn’t).
I took the old post, copy/paste and removed everything could have been vaguely seen as OT and reposted. Now ther isn’t any excuse to not answer direct and clear questions.
Except if the topic isn’t upped anymore by other comments.
Even though the stats on the new gear will not give you any advantages, if you want 1-3% increase go for it.
Wrong, an ascended ring has 11% higher stats than an exotic ring and they’re gonna release all tipe of ascended equipment.
Not just “1-3%”
Lol, you have an alienware but you don`t have a mouse xD
By the way, necromancer is actually the toughest class of the game, on par of warriors, if you use wisely death shroud.
and most of the invites I got were for Explore mode (even though I specifically signed up for Story mode and couldn’t get inside).
You can enter explorable mode without having done story mode. Only the player that starts the dungeon need to have done story mode to select explorable.
I was tired of their vague response to this problem so I tried asking very specific questions about this on this topic https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Transmuting-Legendary-Exotic-Merged/page/2#post1171256
Please support me there, so we can at least have a clear answer
If, by “max hit” you mean the maximum damage you can always pick the maximum damage of the hits on the dummys and multiple it by (150+Crit.Damage) %
Probably it is not the case, but, just to be sure: were you trying your kits?
Because when you equip a kit you lose the stats on your weapons (and if you have precision on your weapon you los critical chance)
Hi Jason, I don’t think this “transmuting legendary problem” is a bug, it’s just a design choice problem.
Maybe the designer didn’t thought about the combination of legendary equip + transmutation + new equipment tier.
The players only need a definitive and clear answer on this issues:
1) do you intend to upgrade the stats of legendary with the power level of every new top tier? (I presume the answer is yes)
2) do you intend to block the possibility to use transmutation stones on legendary items (I presume the answer is no)
3) do you intend to upgrade the stats of legendary items transmuted onto other weapons?
4) If the answer to 3 is no, do you intend to give the opportunity to players with transmuted legendary weapons to revert the weapon back to it’s original legendary status?
Especially about 4, we don’t need to know when, but we need at least to know for sure if you will or you will not adopt that solution.
I bet most of, (if not all) the players would be happy of at least be able to revert their weapons back to the original legendary stats.

by the way: resetting your traits at level 80 costs 3 silver 50 copper instead of the 2 gold you paid for the manual
Wonderful tale chap, but your one single terribad experience in a PUG of all things does not imply the entire path is kitten.
Never said that, I was just stating that skipping the bridge often makes the next part only HARDER with a possibility to have you actually LOSE TIME instead of gain it.
This is pure speculation, but since there is a Gift of Ascension available in a Merchant on the FotM, it may be possible to upgrade certain luxury goods like the Triforge to Ascended, when the new Ascended items come out, using this gift.
I like this idea but I’d prefer less fractal-oriented ways to come up with ascended gear. I want to go out there in that HUGE map, not close myself 24-7 in the Fractals….
Talk with every explorer you see on the map (the ones with the telescope icon) they will show you undiscovered hearts
They should put a door in at the part where they’re trying to execute crea irontooth so that you have to kill the mobs on the bridge before it opens, similar to arah path 3 with the door before the first 2 bosses.
No they shouldn’t.
Yes, they should. Picked up a couple of PUG, they just ran after the bridge pulling also the champion in the room with the 2 ads and the imps spawned by the flame shamans near the turrets. Never wiped in that room before that and you just need 2 more minutes to clear the bridge. -.-
….
And from when on this forum devs answer about future plan.
….
They do it very often on the forum. For an example Hrouda answered about the upgrade of movement sigils in a topic where a player asked about the 10% movement speed sigils.
I think it makes sense to upgrade the Triforge Pendant, not just because it is highly priced but because it’s a complex recipe that requires you to craft 3 other amulets that require a good amount of material (one of them also have the same stat of a normal berserker amulet) that is stats only, no skin (so you can’t compare it with the “nice skin mjolnir”).
Arenanet will also gain another “free” ascended recipe for the mystic adding another non fractal way to acquire ascended items. It seems win-win to me. Or they could at least add a second recipe to upgrade it to ascended. (hoping it doesn’t involve AGAIN 250 globs of ectoplasm)
While I appreciate and thank you for working on fixing this encounter, the fixes you describe don’t encourage me enough to risk another 12 hour run.
This… The fixes described won’t make me spend another 9 hours inside this path too.
This, same for me.
You still need a specific party to pull it out, the regeneration is ridicolous and the time she is visible is too low.
The first time (after the first stealth) Simin remain unstealthed for ~60 seconds, after the that she stealths after only ~40 seconds.
With an high dps team with 2 ranger, 2 eles and 1 mesmer we were only able to knock it down every time to the same amount of health.
During the 9 hours of this path, before quitting, we switched the mesmer (he had to go) also with a thief and with another elementalist.
No one of the party members was a pug, we were all players from the same guild, we know each other pretty well and were coordinated with vocal chat, everyone has done every path of every dungeon multiple times except this one and we also entered the dungeon with a second exotic berserk in our inventory on purpose to switch into it at Simin.
The problem definitely wasn’t the sparks. It can easily be solved by adding some seconds to the time she remains visible after the first one (something like ~44 instead of ~40 seconds) or slightly reducing her regeneration. At least to the point it becames doable with every class on berserker armor (even if I don’t like the idea to force an entire build for the entire group because of a boss)
Please ask your team to run this path with 2 ranger, at least 2 elementalist and NO HEAVY class. Then come back to tell us how much they tried before ragequitting.

Use a stuffed Zucchini to try that. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Stuffed_Zucchini
Wow, didn’t know that one. It’s surely faster and less expensive that my idea XD
Someone on a topic said that fractions of seconds gives a chanche of an additional tick (to not waste condition duration on low duration conditions).
Example 1: 1 stack of 3.25 seconds of bleeding does 3 ticks with a 25% probability of a 4th tick
Example 2: 1 stack of 5.75 seconds of bleeding does 5 ticks with a 75% probability of a 6th tick
Example 3: 2 stacks of 3.5 seconds of bleeding does 6 TOTAL ticks with a chanche of 25% of 0 additional tick, 50% chanche of 1 additional tick and 25% of 2 additional ticks (combined probability from 50% chance of extra ticks for 2 stacks)
Pick a weapon without attack bonus sigils, go into AC, attack the first breeder with autoattack and write down your average damage (separating non-critical hits from critical hits).
Put the sigil on the weapon, re-enter AC and write down the new value.
If the damage is the same it is day (or the sigil is bugged).
If you do more damage, redo it every 30 minutes for a couple of times to be sure it doesn’t switch to day. If you do it without exiting the dungeon it’s better.
Anyway I presume it’s always night in some dungeon (like AC)
I hope Arenanet doesn’t focus too much on fractals, I didn’t bought “Fractal Wars” hoping to hole up all the time inside dungeons.
There’s a HUGE and vastly unused world to make more appealing, with some things like story-quest chains (they can continue many interesting things you partially see in your “personal” story)
Nothing against your suggestions, I’m just against the idea to develop the fractal more than the rest of the game
Probably you have the same runes equipped in PVP. A bug shows the total runes you have equipped between pvp/pve but you’ll only receive bonus from the runes you’re actually equipping.
….also, i really, really think you need to make arah easier, it took me a week to find a group for storymode noone wants to play arah
It’s not because it’s hard, it is because it’s long and with little reward. Like every story mode.
Please, tell us when you’ll be able to reach Simin. THAT will be funny to read xD
It doesn’t seem too much of a serious exploit: You should still reset your points everytime you want to do this and you start the combat without points (no points→no stats and no traits)
Why arent we good for conditions?
We can mantain 100% uptime for burning and stack 20+ bleeds easily. I tested…bcoz conditions builds need a great base survivability. Necros has a 15K base health.
Necros have a 18K base health (like warrior) PLUS another rapid-fill health bar (death shroud)
About Glyph: It revives dead NPC because they don’t have a downed state, but on players it revive only downed ones, not dead.
I agree it needs a shorter cooldown.
No bug, you’re supposed to kill the acolytes while in animal form.
Killing the acolytes stops him to regain health but you need a lot of people to do it succesfully.
This is where you show your support for the game and buy them .
(or transfer gold to gems)
He already showed his support buying the game.
I also already showed my support by buying the game.
To me and many old GW1 players this doesn’t seem the same game company anymore.
You can check if the target is in skill range:
if you have a red line under the skill it means that the target is beyond the skill range.
The recipe is:
1 princess frame doll
250 cogs
250 wad of enchanted stuffing
250 drops of magical glue
Did you put in the mystic forge also the stuffing and the glue?
The most difficult part is the beginning, where you need to kill the random ads.
In my guild we often run AC explorable with 2-3 players on their low level alts (lvl 35-50 usually)
If the player know how to play at lest a bit (and is able to dodge Kholer attacks) it usually doesn’t make any difference and we also usually don’t skip.
I think XGhoul is right with the things he wrote in his last post, every time I get an “don’t worry, I’m a tank/healer guardian!” in a dungeon group the run takes about 20-25% longer WITHOUT making it simpler, because a boss that isn’t dead means more attacks to dodge/block/heal.
Totally different from the runs we make with a guildmate that run a DPS Guardian (not Glass Cannon but Power oriented stat-wise), with groups of mobs disappearing one after another.
It’s true that going full-defense-no-attack doesn’t support the group really well (unless you’re running CoF path 2), it’s better to always have at least some attack power.
….for Tou/Prec/Pow and Pre/Tou/Pow jewels…..
Actually they’re both tough/prec/pow, being toughness the major stat.
If you don’t equip any condition damage, like Cond.Dam/prec/tuogh from the dungeons equipment (condition damage main stat) or a Rampager (Prec/Pow/Cond.Dam. with Precision as main stat) I suggest to equip some piece of equipment with Power as main stat to not drop too much attack.
My main is a Necromancer as well and personally I don’t find Toughness very useful, at least in PvE. Most of the time I die it is due to the health degeneration effects of conditions such as Burning, Bleeding and Poison
You’re a necromancer: push that kitten F1 (or whatever button you bound to death shroud) once in a while!
Or remove them by placing them on your enemies with staff 4 or many other necromancer skills!
A necromancer has ~18.000 base hp at lvl 80 (same as a warrior, the 2 high hp pool classes) PLUS a second rapid-charge second life bar (death shroud) and many way to remove conditions from yourself.
1 point of toughness in a class with the most health bar in the game is worth way more than the 10 HP you gain from 1 point of vitality.
Yes, it does not offer additional resistance to condition damage but, it’s also true that, unless you’re a minion master, probably you also don’t have more than 100 points of toughness from traits while having at least 100-200 points of vitality from Blood Magic.
All that is required is usually to keep trying and you’ll be able to transfer.
If you’re talking about wintersday skins it’s probably cheaper to just buy a bunch of skins and apply a new one every time you need it instead of using a transmutation stone.
Usually the best priced one is the one you buy pieces and build it yourself.
If you choose your parts smartly it will surely be better of an equal-cost off-the-shelf one.
Mix with Knight (tough/prec/power), Cavalier (tough/crit damage/ power) and Berserk (power/prec/crit damage) balancing with the amount of defense/offense you desire
If to keep that ratio you have to stack vitality then you’re probably an elementalist, a thief or a guardian.
I saw the math behind this reason and that is the simple “rule”.
The complete one consider also the amount of health that you can heal (adding it to total health) and the % of condition damage that you think you’ll take in the area you’re going (removing it from the total health).
The point of the formula is that vitality= 10 health points and the damage you take from an attack is inversely proportional to the amount of armor.
Double the armor is the same as double health, so you can compare them finding out that if the health is less than 10 times the armor i gain more hp from vitality because the equivalent hp from toughness are less than 10.
If the health is MORE than 10 times the armor 1 point of vitality is still 10 hp but with one point of toughness the equivalent hp you gain are more than 10 hp.
Low hp class like eles, thief and guardians will surely benefit from vitality more than from toughness, (and vitality gives more resistance to condition damage also) so if you use one of these class and you have to choose between toughness and vitality choose vitality.
With medium hp classes like mesmer, ranger and engineer you have to balance it around also considering the eventual condition damage vs normal damage ratio.
Warrior can also be grouped with medium hp classes because of high hp pool and high armor.
With Necromancer (high hp pool, low armor) you’ll likely benefit more from toughness rather than vitality.
Don’t go TOTALLY FULL defensive, it initally seems you’ll survive better but in reality you’ll drag the fight longer without really controlling aggro. In party also the other players will notice the difference of damage done (or NOT done) by you.
Even with a defensive build it’s always better to balance it adding a bit of power/precison, trust me, you will barely notice any drop in your defense.
Cleric ( Heal/Tough/Pow) with Knight (Tough/Pre/Pow) are nice stats for this with some minor piece (stat-wise) Berserker (Pow/Pre/Crit dam) or Soldier (Pow/Vit/Tough) due to having power as their main stat.
Totally agree with Sky
You can’t complete ALL toys minis by playing. The Cogs/Stuffing/Glue reward is one time only for each dungeon, for a total of 500 cogs and 1250 stuffing/glue.
In addition to that there are 250 cogs by mail gift from arenanet and another 200 cogs from tixx.
The 200 cogs from tixx were meant to refund some people that got less than 500 cogs from the dungeons due to a bug.
The 250 cogs from the mail were a refund because some people couldn’t receive the reward from tixx due to another bug.
Initially we should have been able to craft only 2 out of the 5 toys minis, thanks to the bugs we are able to craft 3 of them by buying the missing stuffing/glue on the Trading Post.
There’s no way to craft more than 3 minis, you can only buy the others on the gem store.
I’d love if they also reduce the % of dropped non infused ascended rings along with the number of “special” fractal tokens required to buy it to have less randomness with about the same drop rate.
I did the 10-18 daily nearly 20 times without getting anything (more than 10 times were before the path with the token)
So I got a letter in the mail today with the new present, so that’s awesome….HOWEVER, my husband, who did not experience the initial glitch, received the same gift…meaning he now has TWO of the 15-slot gift boxes…so everyone who got screwed over….still gets screwed over? By only getting one?
Better two 15-slot bags than someone with 3 minis and someone with 2. This is the fastest less discriminating way to solve it and a 15-slot bog doesn’t cost much.
oh noooo!!! I received a gift on my mail today
but I was in a middle of making character so I just looked ta it and ignored the mail.then because I was just testing this character I deleted it. BUT! when I log in on my main account I noticed that the mail with a gift from tixx was gone!!! OMG!!!:( I’m so sad
It should be impossible to delete a mail with attacched items.
What type of portal? Mesmer or Asura? Because the Lifetime Survivor reset when you change maps, so if you’re talking about the asura one you’d better not use it.
They aren’t forcing you to buy them so why complain?
They aren’t forcing you to play, your logic is not valid.
The problem isn’t acquiring Foostivoo, I think the problem for most people is that I could acquire 6 mini-Infinirariums, 2 mini-festive golems, and Foostivoo, never once seeing a mini-snowman.
I agree, most of the problems would have been solved by not making them account bound.
