Probably to solve the DR bug that made some people get less than 100 cogs form the rewards. Not sure, I haven’t read any official response about this cogs, yet.

Hei guys, we already bought the game, so (as ARENANET said before SELLING the game) the gem store should have been a plus, not their main money income.
Now they throw in the gem store high demand items, some of them total RNG also account bound.
(“no dude, you cant sell your third snowman mini, pay another 30 bucks to try finding the other ones”)
And 350 gems for a mini IS a total rip-off.
Had they done a 3-mini bundle like the halloween one there would be little to no complain.

Doesn’t matter if it’s cosmetic or whatsoever, don’t say “nobody force you to have them” because also “nobody force you to play a game” and you’ll also complain when they’ll throw in something you want and thought you could get only by playing normally.

p.s. forcing us to farm gold to buy gems (with a variable change-rate) is not playing normally.
p.p.s. nobody wants things for free, if we had a daily for 50 cogs to build the toys minis no one would have said “give them us for freeee” beacuse complaining for the impossibility to get it normally isn’t the same as not have the will to “work” for it.

Just finished with lvl 24.. got a non-infused ring.

Actually you’re partially wrong and proving your point with situation that weren’t absolutely similar te ones that create complaints in GW2.
For example Minis: 1 granted at each of your characters birthday. (Random? yes. Can go empty handed? No. Can be sold/buyd from other people? Yes!)

Wrong math: there’s a listing fee of 5% the total cost that you pay to put items on sell, then if you sell there’s another 10% tax from the coins you gain:
Glob: 26.s 66 c Listing Fee: 1s 33c (paid immediately to put the glob on sell)

Somebody buys it and you get:
26s 66c – 10% (that is 2s 67c) = 23s 99c

In fact the real profit would be the projected profit minus the listing fee (hence: total – 15%)

Probably it becomes soulbound on first use: did you use it?

It also happened to my groupo: took 1 pug and halfway the first fractal he tell us that it is late and he stops after that…. -.- He could know it was late before joining….

My girlfriend and I were ready to buy the Quaggan minipet, until we found out it was random-luck.

A dev stated that we will be able to craft 2 out of the 5 dungeon minis.

About the Cogs for making the minipets: the Devs already stated in other posts that you can only get 500 Cogs, just enough to craft only 2 out of the 5 dungeon minis.
So DON’T CRAFT the MINI as soon as you have 250 cogs, first check what mini do you really want!

For everybody who wants more than 2 dungeon minis, we’re reeeeeally “lucky” because we can find them in the gem shop for a “mere” 350 gems EACH. -.-
Everyday they will add the mini of that day (today ventari) to the gem shop. -.-

Honestly, I totally agree with the OP, I like this patch (at least 98% of it). I agree also with wasted when he says that it only lacks a themed explorable area like Labyrinth.

To me doesn’t really matter for karma (the can make a lot now) or for normal transmutation stone (you can have many of them).

The bad thing in my opinion is the lost FINE transmutation stone. You can hardly find them withouth buying them.

Sigils that activates on critical shares the same cooldown timer, so they can’t take effect togheter.
I think that on a critical:
you have 60% chanche to activate sigil of earth, IF it does not activate (the other 40%) you then have 30% to activate sigil of blood. So the sigil of blood actually has 12% chance on critical.

Maybe it is an side effect of this fix:
“-Weapons purchased with karma from vendors in Fireheart Rise, Iron Marches, and Fields of Ruin now have their intended skins instead of tier 3 cultural skins.”

I think it will be hard to fix if it is this way. (And yes, lv80 transmutation stone ARE a waste of money)

Yeah, I liked nearly all the fixes until Ia saw the engineers ones….I thought they would have done the same thing as with elementalist conjure weapons, instead they nerfed grenades….

No it isnt’t. I’ve done Lyssa/Dwana 2x each in the last week. The trick is to get people to come join in on the events. Spam map chat in LA and orr zones “doing X temple” and link the waypoint.

Done it for half an hour at Melandru’s Priest, nobody even answered and we had to give up.

About the green: it is intended that your character skin color is shown on silvary’s armor, do you have a green skin?

About clipping: you have to see the light named leggings on a humanoid character, a side of the “gown” totally enters the left leg XD

Ascended gear was quite simply a brilliant idea. it gives something to work towards for ppl that were growing bored or like the challenge of the tiered levels without giving an extreme advantage against player geared all in exotics.

the fractals are fun for a casual player as well, but are by no means necessary.

all in all, ascended has a much greater positive influence than negative. very happy that they added it, and it as in a free update at that.

The people who grew bored were the people that grinded the fractals for a week, got their ascended equipment and then started again to grew bored.
Vertical progression makes the game longer to people that can’t already play much (and people that can’t play much does not desire vertical progression).

By the way: why everyone seem to think that horizontal progression==new armor skins?
There are many things to add as horizontal, where vertical is just another tier of rarity.
-New quests (real instanced quests like the “personal” story, that can actually show you a side-story)
-New games (only keg brawl now), maybe with some prizes.
-New dungeons (not just kill-kill-kill dungeons, I’mtalking about new mechanics and new stories)

They could have made the way to get the new ascended gear a little funnnier to get. Just the fact that you have to play the fractals at least 10 hours before actually having a chanche to get a ring is pretty boring. And from there is all RNG.

Another thing on Pistol Whip: the tooltip states 9 hits but I see less than 9 (don’t remember ho many and I can’t try it now but they were about 5-6)

The no-helmet-in-cutscene bug does not happen only with Zojja.
I remember a female silvary warrior NPC with Tier 3 silvary heavy helmet going bald during cutscenes because of this.

What happens if you don’t take the money and the mail “fades away”?
I noticed that mail disappears after some weeks, for example I wanted to keep all the map completed mails so I nevere deleted them but they disappeared.
What if those were quest mails with money?

Fractal drop has been nerfed heavily and it isn’t now as it was the first days.
Now, lvl10 fractal = 1-2 rares on average
First days, lvl 1-2 fractal = 5-6 rare on average

Actually:
Personal story (lv1 – 20) —-—> Racial/order story (lv20-30) ——> Order’s story (lv30-50) ——> Trahearne’s Story (lv50+)

I stopped doing it at about lv 60, I’m resuming it slowly just to complete it but I don’t really like this higher level quest of “personal” story.

The lower level quests are done better than the high level ones.
From lv 50+ the personal story seems like an excuse to not add quests in GW2.
