To be fair, when FC was match with IoJ and DR we did much better than we did this week or against GoM. We did better because ET doesn’t take as big a shot as we do. It hurts us more when ET can’t roll with the third server.

If people would transfer down to ET (or FC) I would be really grateful. It would help us both out more than you can imagine.

Question for you, Would you say GoM and HoD can field similar numbers? I’m curious.

I would say the numbers are very similar. GoM had much better zergs. They had more of them that each outnumbered us. HoD has one big zerg, which works but not as well.

How many people would you say that you had on each map for reset? Also, can any ET person guess how many you had rolling around?

Anywho, fight club tonight at 8 est anyone? More fun than the zerg fighting. I think that we might get a better turn out being that it is a Saturday.

I think that as we all know how this is going to go, we should have a fight club in HoD border Saturday or Sunday on top of the usual Thursday fight night. Maybe 8pm est Saturday?

I gotta say GoM has top quality gif action and seem to be the better server. If NSP wants to convince anyone but themselves that they are better they need to step their gif game up.

I like the 1000 badge cost best. It is doable but not outrageous. 50 is a bit much.

NO, you will be shot on sight by the enemy; every time. Do you fix SPvP matches for wins?

WvW is PvP, and if an enemy sees you; you will be attacked. Given the low population in the JPs, I’m shocked that a veteran SPvP player is having problems.

Of course I’m not having problems. It’s just a waste of time. For everyone. I’ve noticed that I have to kill a lot of people to get even one badge. It’s just not worth it.

If you are not having problems stop wasting everyone’s time by making a silly thread.

Personally, I’m starting to think server merges/partial merges are in order. From the WvW perspective at least, there are FAR too many WvW servers present yet FAR too little WvW players willing to spread out evenly to create any long term balanced match-ups outside maybe tier 1. In the end every next tier is drastically more stacked then the previous one, and some are worse than others. Not that tiers mean much anymore though.

There is absolutely no meaning in pitting a significantly smaller WvW population against a much higher one with the only incentive to play against them being rating points, especially when gaining rating points just increases the odds that you will face a stronger server than before.

when the new matchup mechanic was announced, there were some people that were hopeful. they were saying that perhaps people would spread out across the servers more instead of stacking the “winning” server in a stale matchup so much…

i’m not sure if that’s actually happening in the higher servers, but it sure as heck isn’t happening all the way down in the basement where i’m sitting. people who were already teetering on the edge of “this freaking sucks” jumped ship at the idea that we’d potentially be facing servers even stronger than the ones that have already whipped us. (i hold no ill will toward those who left, by the way. i play for fun, and if the game is no longer fun because of the matchup they are in, i respect them leaving it.)

i laughed pretty darn hard when i saw what our first week’s matchup was… and i don’t mean i laughed in a good way. i’m surprised and proud of my server we did as well as we did against what we were facing.

i’m in it for the long haul… i won’t be leaving ET unless 1. my whole guild leaves (lol ain’t happenin’) 2. i quit playing (not any time soon) 3. servers merge (who knows when/if that happens, and even then, i technically haven’t LEFT my server) or 4. the game shuts down (probably not any time soon either)

BUT… as low as the WvW pop is on ET, and presumably on FC right now also… i am not opposed to the idea of a merge.. if only it wouldn’t fubar the tiers. SF is strong enough on their own, tho. howzabout Eredon Crossing?

I kinda like Ferguson’s Terrace. That seems like a nice play to be.
Sadly our servers will never be merged because that would mean four other servers that are all larger than us would be merged. It wouldn’t make much sense to do that.

It is very very different. ET and FC did very well last week. This week is a blowout. FoW and Vabbi always do poorly.

They are going to lower the chance of people fighting higher tiers soon. They are trying to find the ratings that each server should have. What those are is a mystery to me, but that is what Devon is saying.

It really depends on the day. From what I’ve seen of ET lately the max they got was about 40. That falls away rather quickly. Have they had a bit more turn out this week with SF?

what if during the tourney there was a population ( one in,one out system) that capped the population to the team with the lowest numbers. Ie Ferg has 200 players on all maps, so the server they are fighting is only allowed the same.

I know it creates a queue that people dont want..but then the battles come down to the players ability and not being swamped by over pop

If you want to be realistic we would say at most 100 Fergs can get on to play. If we want to be fair only 30 people could play because ET would need help. 30 is a gigantic number for ET. Sounds like that would be a fun tourny.

We already know the outcome. One of the T1 servers would win. No one else could compete. Not much fun having a competition if only 3 servers have a chance.

A direct comparison of Berserker stats on rings:

Red Ring of Death (Ascended):
One hundred three Power.
Sixty eight Precision.
Eight Critical Damage.

Ruby Orichalcum Ring (Exotic):
Sixty seven plus twenty five -> Ninety two power.
Forty eight plus fifteen -> Sixty three Precision.
Three plus three -> Six Critical Damage.

This would be a fun match up if ET didn’t roll over to SF. I commanded WvW tonight and wiped SF zergs every time we met up only time they won was when we tried to get our keep back and they had acs everywhere. So with ET not pushing SF, they only focus on us and ET has their little groups running around our BL instead of SF. Thought since you had 10 points tonight you would want revenge of SF but guess not.
