and thats pretty much everyone in all 4 maps during NA nights / early morning.

maybe you shouldnt play during NA prime time. but then again, you dont get attention drawn off of your playstyle by the larger groups playing for points.

15 attackers vs 5-10 defenders isn’t going to cause a siege battle. The attackers won’t have enough constant supply to make it one. Maybe we have different definitions of a battle? I know we have different definitions of what a zerg is. But I won’t argue any further about this topic, because either way zerg or no zerg present in a battle, a mortar doesn’t take skill to man.

We don’t draw attention? Tell that to the zergs that yell out over chat to chase us till kingdom come to kill us.

If we are fighting ET, who is defending durios, while we hold umberglade, we can sure as hell have enough supply. If we are attacking durios we also probably have some supply in our keep(It almost always has 1000), so yeah, the attackers will be able to have constant supply for siege.
So I just thought of 1 situation that happens all the time where we fit your definition of a battle and mine. Would that be fun to you?

Just to let you know, if theres no queue, you can get one person to restart their client, when they log back in they can immediately right click the party members to kick them, before they rejoin wvw and get bugged again like everyone else.

I know its not a real fix, but can be easier then recreating entire party.

Why restart the client? you can just hop into the mists and do the same.

QFT. Yesterday I was in an SoR rush to take Hills. 30+ golems. 5 arrow carts took almost all of them all down.

No one even bothered with the arrow carts. They just thought the golems were enough in number that they could bust down both gates before they all died. The element of surprise was also lost minutes before the attack. For the entire fight I was just facepalming my desk.

Its clear there is something going on here… We are so far behind yet FC or HoD refuse to make an aggressive move on each other. Rather, they are just staying neck and neck attacking our(Eradon Terrace) BL and EB territory and pushing us further behind.

The only explanation must either be one of two things:
1. FC and HoD are afraid to anger each other and not want to make a decisive lead
OR
2. ET is far more powerful than either and so they have made a joint venture to suppress ET together.

You can not get that many badges a day unless you are the luckiest person to ever play the game. You get badges from maybe 1 out of 10 things in wvw.

he claim is possible, but not from player killing alone, while I agree that badges from players is dismal at best, you can do pretty good if you can keep camp flipping up, getting around 1 badge a camp.. so he could have flipped 200 camps pretty easy in a day, if he just ran circles on them, but even then, lets say, 1 camp every 4 min (includes running from camp to camp) that would be 13 hours of straight camp flipping. And that’s doable with a good partner.

However, but necros vs a zerg? In my personal take on that, well, all the times I have seen that, they get pasted pretty quick.

Nothing against necros or anyone person, mind you, just my personal experiences.

Necros are great in zergs, but his claim is a bit much.

That is a really good story but it is impossible to get that many badges in a few hour without wiping hundred man zergs left and right.

To be fair it was most the day, was in a gaming mood after not playing for months. Anyway just constantly turned camps, get 2-4 badges a camp 1-2 badges (sometime none) on player kills. I probably had a few badges starting out but no more then 20-30 so yes 200+ badges today.

If things are slow, pick a zone with outmanned buff to save repair costs because sometimes you have to just attack a zerg for a kill or two, the badges add up fast.

Was only so long until that 1v1 would get interrupted haha. Good fight none the less, looking forward to running into your small man group this week.

Also ran into a small BS(basic) group, it was good fun they had a Mes, Warrior, and Necro. Changed to a Thief, Warrior, Mes after we got them the first time.

I was the human necro with the char warrior, good fights Mes you are the first Mesmer I have seen worth anything in WvW ever. (but dont terrain exploit you’re better then that).

ET has some solid players, got my best 1 v 1s against ET people. FG people seem to just zerg and are really really really really bad in small scale actually won 1 v 2 and 1 v 3s against them multiple times with a poorly geared necro, makes me want to invest in gear and play WvW instead of just Tpvp, see if I can 1 v4 or 1 v 5 some FG folks.

Great fights with you guys as well. I’m sorry but how was I terrain exploiting?

The perma invuln location, you backed up into to get all cooldowns up then came out of, and went back to when you were low… by the wargs. No huge deal is it was just open world roaming.

ET just seems to have good players on average Ferg not so much just zerg. Heck a thief and i actually dropped a Ferg commander in the middle of a zerg killed 4 or 5 then got away. I have not WvWed that much more a Tpvp player but getting 250 badges in a few hours solo or with 2 or 3 man groups seems like alot.

I dont have much gold so I wanted to thank all the Ferg players for the badges and crafting mats ill have all the exotic gear in no time.

• Queue-Tickets: With introducing a kind of progress bar, you could see then a green and a red queue. Joining the green queue grants faster access to WvW but costs a queue-ticket. Waiting in the red queue just takes a bit longer…

If they are going to introduce something it can’t kitten off players. Letting people cut in line might kitten off a few wvwers.

Anet needs to take a look at the Sorrows Furnace Henge of Denravi and Northern Shiverpeaks Eternal Battleground Sorrows Furnace controls the whole map its not because there better its simply because they have more people now what they can do to help fix this is give losing servers an advantage so they can fight back for example buffing there stats siege weapons require less supply to be built another thing that would work sever alliances If one server has a clear advantage allow the 2 losing servers the option to join forces and fight back as it stands now WvW for these servers is broken Sorrows Furnace has had the advantage for 2 months now because people keep server hoping I don’t know if other servers are experiencing this but it needs to be fixed asap.

I would really like to see pairing of servers in a cross-battle alliance of some sort that could be semi-random every week (or even monthly to build some camaraderie). By this, I mean allow guesting/mercenaries between server pairs such that each could play on one-another’s server’s that week in their matchups. For instance, Jade Quarry might be matched up with IoJ, while Maguuma might be matched with Darkhaven. If they share WvW benefits (or have a week-end WvW-er reward based on position), there would be incentive for each to help their partners. This would do a lot of great things:

1. It would shake up matchups a bit and give hope to the people at the bottom while challenging the people at the top.
2. It would give a boost to the lower servers evening up the matchups
3. It would increase communication and allow cross-server tactical learning
4. It could be used to even out the matchups (especially if pairings take into account coverages so that larger-tier servers aren’t upset about getting a worse-partner to pull-up, but instead have a bit of a boost during their down-times).
5. It would allow more mobility in the rankings.

It would also add queues to servers that don’t face them very often. I enjoy that on FC I can join almost any border except on reset and never face a queue. If JQ could get into wvw, even if it was down in T8, do you think they would face a queue or play? If on reset JQ has a 4 hour queue how many people do you think would flood my lovely borderlands? No thanks…

I did find it funny that what seemed like 80 FC would bunker into Hills while GoM took fully upgraded Bay and Garrison, and the rest of the map with it… while 50 or so ET just messed around inside Hills for a little while

ok, if this is the only problem, dnt do it. let the 1st server stay in tier 1.

atm wvw machups are boring. in tier 1 servers are actually refusing to fight because they are tired to fight the same teams every week. in last tier ppl look at the scores and wonder why even try? i agree with both.

u need to understand that score board and machups are separate in what i suggest. but the better thing is that EACH week there is a chance for any server in a tier to go up or down! this is exciting and gives incentive to give your best to progress. all in all, there will again be tiers since any server will be stuck at one point to progress against better servers unless it makes a bigger effort. but it will be possible and every single week it will be a new fight. even if server goes up one tier and then goes back down, chances to meet same two servers are gonna be much less. relatively all will be at the same tier as they are now, but at the same time will have motivation to actually fight. and every week different servers to fight!

So T8 is being dominated by the server that moved down, this was fortold by nearly everyone. This is perfect evidence of what happens when a server from a higher tier moves down. It does not change anything.

But GoM is only winning, at least by this margin, because of their night crew. It is truly the only reason. During the day GoM is staying right on par in PPT with the rest of T8. Last week GoM lost to ET. Was that predicted too?

I think you missed the part where I was comparing it to retaliation. In a comparison kind of way.

To simplify my statements further though.

If reflects worked on siege, I and some proportion between 1% and 10% of the WvW population would play the class that could reflect best and we would ensure no serious threat would ever come to our important objectives. ever.

Your siege would all be dead (yes, ALL of it) within a few shots at my tower and everyone would be crying for the change to be reverted within hours of the patch.

Imagine if swirling winds destroyed the siege it was blocking. That is pretty much what you are asking for and it would pretty much mean anything but a flame ram would be useless in WvW.

OK, So you’re going to treb Bay we’ll say. The other guys station a couple rangers, guardians, etc. to reflect. You counter with a few reflectors yourself to reflect what’s reflected back.
