Expect more RNG chests, then.
With Dragon Bash they probably didn’t have the time to do more.
They must have put their B team on it.
RNG from dungeons and PVE in general isn’t the problem.
The problem is when people actually support the game and buy gems with real money, they shouldn’t be slapped in the face with crappy rewards.
The guys at Anet thought people would do the events because the queen gives 2 guaranteed gold items. The fact is that it’s such a hassle to get all camps at the same time that 2 rares aren’t even worth it.
If I go to a casino and lose money is it the CASINOS fault or mine?
Except that a casino is clearly a casino, while this is a video game (and not a casino themed video game).
I didnt say it shouldnt take time… im saying after opening not one but thousands of boxes i would at least expect 1 ticket. Dont you agree with me?

It doesn’t matter if you open 20 or 20.000. Your chances reset each try.
And yes, it sucks and Anet shouldn’t be encouraging such gambling.
I, for one, won’t be spending any more money on this game.
Maybe it’s time to completely change the face of Orr, then.
I think it’s clear ArenaNet doesn’t want your “ideas”.
They want you to have a hard time getting a ticket from the regular coffers so that you might buy rich coffers.
I’am just going to assume we will see a “Library” section in our collectibles down the road?
Or they’re just gonna add more of them so that they take more slots in our bank so that we’re more inclined to buy bank space in the gemstore.
I have a feeling that since it’s only a month long event, Anet is just going to stay silent on the matter and act as if they saw nothing, until the event is over and nobody complains about it anymore.
Bought 80 coffers, used my thief with +100% magic find, got another ticket. Some will deny it, I think it helped. Or they adjusted it in todays update.
It’s not that “some” deny it, it’s that a dev (or somebody else from Anet) explicitely said that MF doesn’t have any effect on anything else than drops from mobs.
The patch notes says “Starting Thursday, June 20th. The last two missing suspects can be found in the Snowden Drifts and the Caledon Forest”. So like yesterday, it’s probably gonna be available in less than an hour now.
And yes, we were already showed their location in-game (you know, the animation where they show you the map and circle some areas). Except that when you go there right now, there is nothing.
So you just kill holo’s.
I actually think it’s faster to farm regular mobs. Even yellow mobs.
They die way faster. You don’t have to run a mile between each of them. You can go to low level zones to kill them even faster.
Sometimes, it’s useful to read the patch notes.

Use your legs.
Use guesting (3 effigies instead of one).
Use a low level character.
Blame ANet by forcing PvP down the throats of those who do not want to do it thus making the experience worse for the PvPers who do enjoy it and want to do it.
Nobody’s forced to do it. Dragonball doesn’t count for the wings. All you get is a few achievement points.
We can dance if we want to. We can leave your friends behind.
Cause your friends don’t dance and if they don’t dance, well they’re no friends of mine.
Opened 2000 dragon coffers, got 1 skin.
This game is amazing but its the RNG that really destroys it for me. I’ll be on to the next game once it’s released.
For once I would love to find a game that I can play for years and enjoy it — like the old games. Played DAoC/Lineage/Lineage2 for several years but here lately in the past… 5 years, I jump from game to game like a kitten frog.
I believe this is going to be the trend for most of the future games as well. Free or buy to play is becoming the norm. And if a game starts up ast pay to play, it does not seem to last very long. Cash shops are a great revenue maker for games because people spend more in the cash shops, than they do for a monthly sub.
Cash shop doesn’t mean RNG. A lot of MMOs just have skins that you can buy directly.
Decided to go with something that would look like a jade armor to go with the mace (which is a lot more green than the shield). The closest green I found is Evergreen. As a bonus, it goes very well with the priory shield too.

I just don’t get it why they don’t make Draong Bash ‘’you can’t leave during the match’’. It’s pretty annoying when people leave during the match. Sometime it would end up with 1vs5 or 2vs5 and it happened a lot of time (PvP had this issues before but then now they as for volunteer and I wish they do that or system like in Tournament: 5vs5 and the game starts) .
Leavers aren’t the problem. It’s AFKers.
If I’m dropped in a game whith AFKers in my team and I can’t leave, you can bet I’m not even going to bother playing and I will just go do something else while waiting for the end of the match.
It’s been said enough: DON’T BUY RICH COFFERS.
Taffies will not drop to 1c. People would rather buy food with them and sell the food later.
I’ve done a few 500-480 matches. Those few ones were fun.
But yeah, you’re generally dropped mid-match and/or with AFKers and you know you’re gonna lose no matter what.
You could use an alarm clock…
I dont know why they are avoiding this question, seems like every other question gets answered.
Not really.
Did they say anything about the AFKers in Dragonball?
Think about it this way: if there’s like a 0.1% (1 out of 1000) chance to loot the wings, having 300% MF gives you 0.3% chance. You wouldn’t see a difference unless you killed thousands and thousands of mobs.
And then we all have a friend who gets more tickets than he wanted and says stuff like “hey, if I could I would trade it to you”. And we hate him so much for that.
No. They must not be reverted. They must be changed further.
They should take way longer to reload, and spawn several waves of enemies for much longer, and more enemies on each wave, based on ho many players are around, and there should be a veteran in the last wave.
People would just gather a big group of guildies and friends, activate the hologram and just tag all the endless waves of mobs comings out. Hey, 30 coffers in just one hologram, how awesome would that be?
My advice is that since we have a whole month, don’t buy the coffers from the trading post right now. Just open the ones you loot and maybe later in the month you can consider buying them if you have had no luck.
It just shows how much Anet thought this through.
I don’t know why people keep buying taffies since buying the wings is so much cheaper.
I got mine by killing a lvl 20ish baracuda, btw.
I played a game where the opposite team was full but only 1 of them was active. Needless to say, we won but there was no fun at all…
It really kitten es you off when you can’t get one ticket from thousands of coffers but then your friends get 2 from less than a hundred.
The problem is, NCsoft is the one managing the gem store, not Anet
Well yeah, the boss is ultimately the one making the decisions.
Still, Anet’s job is to do what the boss asks, which is coming out with ideas to make money. Our fun is not their priority.
nobody (except Anet of course) knows why the RNG factor of weapon tickets is in effect despite widespread dislike of it
Because if you buy gems (with real money) to buy rich coffers and don’t get a ticket, you’re more inclined to spend more money to buy more coffers.
Instead of selling one coffer with a 100% chance ticket, they’d rather sell 40 with a 1% chance.
Can low levels actually solo them now?
Just don’t buy them.
or PUGs that Akitten.
Of course there’s a solution. Auto kick for being akitten more than x seconds.
Farm them in high level areas…
This doesn’t even count for the wings. Maybe if more people knew that, there would be less AFkers.
AFKers = immediate leave
Incomplete team = immediate leave
I’m not going to waste my time playing a game knowing I will lose no matter what I do.
Don’t have enough gold? Just buy gems and trade them.
Come on, you know that’s what Anet wants you to do.
Does ArenaNet have a gambling license to sell these boxes anyway?
Etiquette is only valid for people who follow it.
You can’t force idiots not to be idiots.
500 coffers : 0 ticket
A friend of mine opened 30 and got his ticket.
Weren’t these rich dragon coffers supposed to have a better chance to give a ticket?
Or throw them in the mystic toilet and pray that the RNG god gives you something good.
