Random respawns = lag.
It might not be on the server’s side (which is why other palyers don’t have a problem). It might not be on your side (if you can do any other thing on the internet without problems). It might be one of the links between you and the server.
Try to do a traceroute to the server’s IP when that happens.

I haven’t a clue as to what you are referring. All I know is this content is on a timer and nothing exists in-game to help direct your time. I read on one of the achievements that I am supposed to open presents. I saw tons of presents around LA but none with which I could interact. What am I missing?
It’s not on a timer. At some point a NPC (there are actually 2 different NPCs) will spawn next to the crafting stations. An event will begin. You’re supposed to give him money until the bar is full, then the dolyak will start walking. At this point you have to follow it and protect it from the skrits. It will drop gifts on the ground from time to time.
It was easy for me until my character bugged and had to finish the entire jumping puzzle with my character lying face down on the ground. -_-

All the things you’re describing definitely come from lag.

A year ago I wrote a little guide to teach people how to effectively beat toypocalypse linked below:
A few things have changed from last year, you only need to get 1 dolyak through so without further ado, the updated guide:
Step 1, grab candy cane (good for destroying things)
Step 2, smash everything
Step 3, build anything that drops right next to where you pick it up
Step 4, build only snowmen and catapult, litter the map with them. Walls and ballista are pretty much worthless.
Step 5, dont upgrade siege till wave 3, even then only upgrade to repair your siege. Mega siege cannot be upgraded and cannot be repaired.What happens is the toys ‘aggro’ the snowmen and catapults and the catapults and snowmen kill them really quickly, when toxx spawns she will run between all your placed siege and ignore the dolyaks. Keep in mind that toxx has a few aoe attacks this year that will wipe out your siege, which is why building your catapults and snowmen everywhere is the best idea. If you pack it in tight little balls toxx may ruin it.
Few other tips: Use hay to heal your hurt dolyaks, its not too uncommon with the above method to make it all the way through with 5 full health dolyaks to show for it.
You can heal yourself by standing next to the middle pillar with the dolyaks.

I would understand the argument about the exploding presents if you didn’t get an area to stand in and wait. PPL should not be complaining. Yes, it’s random. Don’t try to figure it out. Just be the first to go (usually just before the blue presents show up) and you won’t have a problem.
Or if you see that everybody is lazily waiting, just choose the 3rd option and reset the presents for everybody. You’re losing 2 gifts but you’re saving time.
One team just standing around, while the other takes all the presents back to their base. When you ask why, they say this game is only for achievement points and they want to go the fastest possible and if you want to fight other people, go PvP. If you do play normally you get insulted.
For something so expensive, it’s really surprising.
Like I said in another thread: There was no reason whatsoever to time gate charged quartz to begin with. Celestial gear is not special.

They’ve always been just OK. Nothing more. And no real changes to the class since the beginning so they can’t be more than just OK..
There is nothing “Legendary” about buying Excalibur in a Bazaar…..

Since it seems the devs don’t want to make big modifications to the guardian and more and more people grow tired of it, let’s imagine what would happen if they all re-rolled another class. In your opinion, what would happen? Would it even matter?
When are people going to realize that warriors are not the only good dps class.
In heavy armor?
Legendary is the same stats as the highest possible item. So, a legendary weapon has the stats of an ascended weapon and a legendary armour would have the same stats as ascended armour. Thus only worth getting if you like the looks (if you already have ascended armour/weapons).
You forget that you can infinitely change the stats on a legendary weapon.
A legendary armor would most likely have the same feature, which I think is worth a lot.
INSANE amount of materials needed for this
Especially compared to the gain.
Again, with ascended armor, the gain is so small, I don’t think it’s worth the money and the time crafting them.
So basically, just play a warrior?
I used a transmutation stone on my torso. I did transfer the rune and the skin of my exotic to the ascended.
The skin was the Priory, btw.

Yes, he’s saying that what you get in-game is rarely as good looking as the concept arts.
Because if they can sell you a helmet for 500 gems, why would they take the time to make the whole armor just to sell it 800 gems?

People seriously still complaining about healing signet? How many months does it take for someone to counter it? Bit of poison and you are done for.

Play an asura warrior. Can’t see what they’re doing since they’re so small.
It has never been OP in WvW or PvE
WvW means different situations. Sure, in a zerg so many things are happening at the same time and a hammer warrior might not be considered OP but in small group roaming or solo roaming you basically end up in the same situation as in PvP.
Outings with my guild. That’s it. The rest is just grind.

There is CERTAINLY a possibility to get a PRECURSOR from 4 RARES, but at BEST the chance is 5 times less than 4 EXOTICS.
And since rares are minimum 30 silver and exotics 1 gold 20 silver, it’s probably better to use exotics.
If I were ArenaNet, I would have decided not to use these mats. To stop rich people, who bought all these mats when they were dirt cheap, from becoming even richer.
Yep, definitely happens to me too. It’s not lag because you can still move but all skills stay inactive.
A new player will also have a lot more difficulty leveling his craft because ascended gear had the effect of making lower tier mats really expensive.
It’s very hard to gear all your characters with ascended weapons when you have more than one or two. I expect it’s gonna be as hard (if not harder) for armors.
This alone makes me think that ascended gear is too expensive right now.

I used to, when I was still supporting ArenaNet. Now that they’ve changed, I try to buy with gold first and if it’s not enough I’ll buy gems.

The problem is not just population. It’s coverage. Servers that have guilds playing during the night will always win against servers that don’t.
Commanders griefing, for instance insulting or belittling you for not doing what they “ordered” you to do, should be banned for a few days. Provided we have some kind of screenshot of the conversation.
I know we can’t get rid of bad commanders but at least they’ll think twice before acting like d*uchebags on the chat.
Yeah, if the gate has an opening at the top, you can cast line of warding. You can’t put it very far but it’s enough to annoy the people inside. If somebody comes close to the gate, you can cast it behind him and trap him for a second.
I’ve never seen anybody abuse it by continually casting it with the help of several guardians. Besides, the line is just a line, you can just go around it…
