Those who don’t want to touch crab toss or just suck at it are able to get 1 ticket with out ever touching it by finishing all the achievements (not counting crab toss)

Those who are good at crab toss are able to get a 2nd ticket by getting the last 5.

But then, who would have bought their crates ?

If we didn’t want players to be able to farm, we wouldn’t have put in the huge (and free) magic and gold find buffs for Southsun Cove. We wouldn’t drop loot from the giant mobs of creatures that appear in upscaled events. We certainly wouldn’t have put in chests that appear after events which cycle every 8 to 10 minutes. How quickly all of that content goes completely forgotten in the angered responses to a simple change to an area that was clearly bugged. :/

The thing is this isn’t the first time something has been “modified” which, as a result, prevents people from farming: Cursed Shore (Plinx, Penitent, Shelter), World Boss chests, diminishing returns… Even if you say there’s always a reason for doing it, you can see how people could consider all of this a tactic to prevent them from farming.

Only a small percentage of the players would buy those anyway.

I can understand that Anet didn’t have the time to make new armor and weapon skins. No big deal. But the stats? Come on! Almost nobody is going to use these.

How about this, Anet?
Just lower the density of ALL mobs in the whole game.
Put a long respawn time on them or whatever.
No “farming spot of the month”. No nerfing. No raging on the forum.

Yeah, they are only fighting each other for the sake of the living story. Once the story moves on, the instigators events will most likely disappear.

They’re talking about after you finish.
You’re teleported back to the entrance and karkas start attacking them even before they finish loading the area.

IIRC The Karka Queen chain of events is permanent.

Exploiting literally IS gaming. Anything you leave in the game for the playerbase to exploit to their advantage, we will, and no one should ever be banned for DEVELOPERS mistakes.

If you want to prevent these things from happening in the future, do what most major MMOs do and Create a Public Test Server.

You’re the kind of person that if you find a wallet full of money, with an ID, you’d just take the money and throw the wallet away, right?

It’s the duty of the dev to make sure everything works correctly.
But it’s also the duty of the player to report anything that doesn’t seem to work correctly.

Just stay at the entrance and use the two land mines there. Disarm them as soon as you can.

A lot of people just want to get the achievements. They’re just starting crab toss so they’re not good at it. They end up playing against people who have been doing it for days and dominate them match after match (not necessarily the same person). You have to understand they can get frustrated.

In case you can’t tell I LOVE this minigame and I really don’t understand why some many people dislike it.

Maybe because of all the lag? Sometimes there will be a 2s delay to launch a skill. Sometimes your character will just stop moving.
And no, the lag isn’t gone. Just played a minute ago. Still a crapload of lag. And that’s the only thing in this game where I lag.

And the fact that there 4 achievements around it? That’s a joke, right?

If you have a 0.1% chance to loot an exo, a 200% boost still only makes a 0.2% chance.

Does ArenaNet have a gambling license?
Cause it sure feels like we’re gambling with these boxes (and with real money).

The monthly achievements aren’t supposed to focus on just one thing. They’re SUPPOSED to take you out of your comfort zone. They’re SUPPOSED to encourage you to try something new.

Instead you just whine about how you have to do something new.

That’s 2 months in a row. I think people who hate fractals have been out of their comfort zone enough.

I would have loved it if it was actually an epic solo quest.

If there’s a problem, the devs will be aware of it BUT they will take time to figure out how to fix it and then it will take time to patch the game.

There is no “here and now” when talking about a video game.

It’s called gambling.

They can’t change their appearances because some people did like how they looked and crafted them. All they can do is add particle effects.

If someone crafted a legendary and was disappointed at how it looked, then too bad, he should have waited to see how it looked like before going for it.

People complain because this is NOT a gambling game and you shouldn’t be able to spend hundreds of dollars and get nothing in return. It’s not normal for a video game.

If GW2 is a gambling game, shouldn’t Anet have a gambling license or something?
