They could make an account map mode, so you can switch between “map completion mode” and “account map”… Would be awesome to see how many times you’ve taken a given task or vista etc etc, and being able to use the way points without having issues with mapping first…
(possibly the mode should only be switchable in major towns..)

Some of us, have a very lot of friends on our list, and it is a bit hard to keep track of it.
is it possible we could get the option to sort the friend list into categories of our own design?

I have some doubts that the humans still have much of an army left, as it seems they cant even hold their own against the centaurs and bandits
Same thing could be said about the charr… i am sure the asura would win, because they are capable of high-tech golem warfare… and of turning the enemy soldiers into mindless golem slaves using inquest tech… remember when we took down zaithan? 1 golem was enough to take down the undead that took out almost an entire column of charr tanks… the chat would be pulverized by the asura xD

I think he is more on the Norn area. Kralkatorik might have damaged them a bit when he flew to the crystal desert (though there is no purple in the Blood Legion Homelands, so maybe not), but if we are going with the scenario that this is happening after the dragons have been defeated then Charr own about a third of the current map.
Jormag awoke Right next to the blood legion homelands… if there are any charr left there, im sure they are turned into mindless frozen drones… either that or they are busy fighting the flame legion… which had its headquaters there… but hey… why would they stay up there after reconquering ascalon? and why would the flame legion move their HQ down south from there, if the place was safe to be in? I strongly doubt the place is ANY kind of Living friendly…

The living story chapters is 200gems x 8 chapters. you need to go to the in game shop. the expansion is coming up sometime, but you probably knew.

At the very VERY least, they should turn the Town Clothing that we were originally given at character creation into Outfits. This one basic Outfit should then be available for free in the Gem Store. (Call it “Cultural Outfit” or something like that. Of course they aren’t going to make a Sylvari style Outfit for an Asura.)
But yes, I would love to see all of the Town Clothes Tonics turned into Outfits. The Tonics are totally useless, and I’d even put up with the ugly combination they created just to be able to wear my GW2 Dragon Logo T-Shirt again.
They didn’t take the cap away, but they seriously removed the T-shirt? xD that just sucks…

Get an invisible backpack. Place it at the bottom. Put the items you don’t want compacted, and want to be able to find easily into it. There, problem regarding finding your way around your inventory; Solved.
This is not a solution. I just need special UI without opening inventory UI.

Demo server
Why not make a demo server that anyone who doesn’t own the game, can enter? The assets of a demo server, would be that a lot of people whom are in doubt of weather they want to play the game or not, can test it out. I know a few people who don’t buy the game because, they don’t know if they will like it.
The server should have these features:
Max level: 40
Accessible areas: level 1-15 areas and major cities.
When the exp bar is filled up and the character should be level 40, the character should be locked as long as the account is on the demo server.
No black lion Gems to Gold functionality.
Free server transfer if the game is purchased.
Basic Game from the gem store for 3200 gems.
Heroic Edition Not available.
Level 30 pvp arena.

Exotic Dye
We have an interesting category of rare dyes. while these dyes would in fact make more sense as being exotic. They look different in their icon, they are crazy expensive, and they are way more shiny than the regular dyes. I simply suggest you add an exotic tier dyes. this tier should contain black lion dyes, celestial, abyss, midnight fire and midnight ice. possibly a few more, but this is the base for it. these dyes seem more exotic than rare to me.
Dye Collection
Now, this is really just a simple thing. it would be kinda cool to get some kinda reward for collecting all these dyes. my suggestion would be: Add a fine dye collection, a masterwork dye collection, a rare dye collection, and an exotic dye collection. in addition, add a “Fashionable colors” in the fashion tab, and give us a title for filling it out. Make it so that its got 4 tiers:
tier 1: 200 dyes unlocked
tier 2: 300 dyes unlocked
tier 3: 400 dyes unlocked
tier 4: 473+ dyes unlocked
For completing Fashionable dyes, which basically would require to unlock all current dyes, the reward could be a rainbow color. (not that id ever use it, but i think it would be fitting, and it would fit perfectly in with bi frost.)
Racial weapon Collection
Why is this not here already? Just wondering. I mean, sure, you get a lot of karma and it would be fairly easy to get this one, but still… its 5,985,000 karma… just for the tier 3 weapons… i think its worth something…
Joining in on a story instance
When you are in the middle of your story, and is getting your butt handed to you… you have to start over, even if you have a full party just waiting to join you… It would be awesome, if people could join someone during a story instance, the same way you can join them on a different server if you are on the same map.
It could be done the same way too, just right click their name in your party and get the option “Join in story instance”.

So Humans can use Norn or Asura or Sylvari or Charr town clothing and visa versa.
It would be awesome to have just one set as a standard unlock upon character creation… I hate running around naked when my armor breaks, the costumes deal with that… and having a standard set of costumes would be awesome…

If your stuff is infused, the difference between ascended and exotic is roughly the same as the difference between rare and exotic… Its not the stats that gives the greatest asset though… its the armor value and damage… however, the stats does have value and it would be great to be able to switch em…

I just listened to a 40 minute interview with Izzy Cartwright at REZZED and at the end he said they like the CDI’s a lot and intend to continue them.
Whether they’ll find the time is another issue, but they do mean to do them, and other devs did weigh in during previous CDI’s. So there’s hope.

You get amber in Silverwastes chests also, as well as from dust mites or silly sand in either map. Quartz, however, is only in Dry Top (and home instances if you have the node). Of course, you need the quartz to refine the amber.
I don’t know about you but I get quartz in my home instance.
Point still remains though Some gear will be 80 exotic/ascended only.
And yes, I think the people referenced as decenters would be totally ok with this.

A lot of people complained in the past about a lack of area / monster specific equipment. Stat sets unique to an area (dry top) is one way ANet solved this. Those players probably wouldn’t like losing some of those unique rewards.
They wouldn’t though, because Dry Top remains the only place you can get Amber. As long as Amber is associated with a specific stat then if anyone wants to be a special snowflake then they put amber in their gear to get that stat.
Otherwise I agree with above. The only thing that actually matters is the special skins associated with Dry Top, it shouldn’t be the stat you can get out of it.
The only thing that would mean, is that the Amber stat, would be exotic/ascended level 80 gear only. which, i think is perfectly reasonable?

This is a CDI announcement suggestion
I wanted to write this in the CDI Subforum, but decided against it since, im not sure its allowed, because id have to necropost to do it. so here it is.
Before starting a CDI, can you publish it a few weeks before its up, in the Log In News When You Log Into The Game? I hypothesis that I am not the only one, who have a lot of creative ideas, that, if I have the time to structure my thoughts for specific things. Those of you who have read my inspiration for arena net posts in the general forum , may know that I have a lot of ideas, and try to keep them reasonably organized and fairly simple to get a grasp of. most of what i have written in this “leveling spree”, probably would have been fitting for past CDI’s… but alas… the concept is fairly new to me…

Which unique rewards? o.O That equipment is available to ANYONE… o.O
However, It makes very little sense, that the stats are banded together the way they are, with 1 exception: Its simple. it is probably easier to make it the way it is now and have it Functional… And that is probably why it is the way it is… Quality sometimes demand simplicity… though that is sad to say…
That said, the uniqueness should come from skins not from attributes. at least thats what i think… :P

I’m all for revamping stat allocations and how they are made. This notion of having specific recipes and gating them behind content chafes me quite a bit.
I had an idea a while back that would be good for it, but it really does need to be revisited somehow. Even WildStar’s crafting felt better than GW2’s. :\
It would be horrible for a lot of players if they changed the stat sets now… They would have to allow all players to change all their equipment into whatever stats they want, if they did change it… like they did when they took magic find away from items… But, none the less, i am all for it.

I don’t know how other games does it. But I am Imagining the General almost being in an Real Time Strategy mode.
oh not quite what i was thinking , don’t know if i’d like that from being the general as i’m playing a mmo not a rts i’d go play SC2 or something if i wanted that kind of gameplay
bascially the raid UI gives people the ability to see the health bars of (at least in vanilla WoW) hp /mp whatever of however many groups of 5 there are (in vanilla wow it was 8 for 40 man raids) and they could be collapsed and expanded as necessary

The Generals CUI would be slightly larger though, while on the world Map, allowing some additional features. (Since he’d be commanding up to 500 players or up to 10 squads)

Expanded Portal Entry Functionality
This is probably a rather controversial thing. But I think it would be cool with Items, allowing a player to “Save” a point. upon use, the item should Teleport the player, to that point and leave behind a “portal entry” like the mesmers skill, but with unlimited range. Of course, this should not work within puzzles, dungeons, wvw or pvp.
Account Exploration Indicators
This should be, a simple little thing. Just a small number in front of each POI/Vista/Task/Skill Point/Way Point and instead of the chest from each map, appearing after you get the chest for completing the map, indicating that “X of your Y characters have completed this stuff”.
Lesser Race Companion
Some of us, miss our henchmen. and I have been thinking a lot about that. How about we get a companion, for completing our “personal story”, the part where we help out a lesser race?
The “Hero” should be able to be equipped with gear of the players choice, whoever, “Hero armor” should consist of just 1 piece of armor, granting the full armors stat set and rune set. The “Hero” Should have a full class weapons and weapon skills available, but only racial utility, healing and elite skills. It should fill out a slot in a party. In addition, it should only be available in PvE. It should Not be available during dungeons or while a world boss is on the map or when the map is 2/3rds full.
Events should react to these Heroes, the same way they do to players. It would be awesome if we could be able to name such a companion too.
These are my thoughts for now, I will probably get back to that “companion” later. Here is for level 7

Here we go again, I know I have been writing a lot recently, and some of my levels are smaller than others. This one however, is going to contain a lot of different small ideas. this one is long, so please bear with me.
The Content Guide
This option, is neat, its awesome, its epic, and its so very sad that its not more flexible. my suggestion for TCG enhancement is simple:
Instead of having 4 options in a drop down menu, the content guide could be given a separate tab. This tab could function with markable tags, for each content area, and the same as with guilds, the option to make ranks. The higher rank should always be shown with priority, if anything marked in it, is on the map.
For instance, imagine you want to find all skill points and all Way points, and then you want to find your next story step. However, you will always want any guild activity or any event nearby to take priority.
To do this with the method i suggest, you make a first make an “Event” rank. You mark all guild events and events in it and place it as nr 1.
You then make an “Exploration” rank. You mark Skill points and way points in it.
You then make a “Story” rank and mark Story in it.
Heres a short list of suggestions for items that could be individually markable
- Skill points
- Vistas
- POI’s
- Task’s
- Event’s
- Story
- Active Guild puzzles
- Active Guild rushes
- Guild Bounty hunts (Only visible After the bounty have been engaged by the hunting guild)

- Token Merchants

The Role Players Expanded Areas
The RPG Community have complained about the lack of “places RP”. This I personally think is strange, I do however have a few suggestions: We have a few strange tonics, such as turning you into a table or a chair. How about, instead of it altering the characters initial appearance, just let the character sit down on a chair, in a couch, on a fluffy pillow, or whatever, when using the tonic. this should allow things like “summon table” skills to be used. once summoned, a table should be usable by anyone. upon using a table, a character should sit down in the same manner as the original table summoner. This is just one idea though, it might as well be a camp fire being summoned and when left, it could leave a burnt out camp fire for a short while.
Additional skills could be allowed upon using such items:
General sitting skills
Summon Campfire (summons a campfire for others to use, thus sitting by the camp fire. the camp fire should have up to 5 slots available for people to sit by it)
Summoning furniture Items
These items should summon various things, with the same functionality as the Summon campfire. However, upon using, for instance, a table, people should be able to start mini games such as card games or chess or whats not. The number of people able to sit by the table, should vary from 2-5 depending on the mini game.
Sitting Item Voice Chat
In level 7 i suggested a voice chat. This suggestion could use the same function, to improve the RPG or mini game experience.
Mini Dungeons Skill Reward
Upon taking away the skill points we gain from leveling, how about adding a chance to get a scroll of knowledge, to the possible mini dungeon rewards upon opening the chest at the end of it?
This scroll should of course only be able to drop once a day pr. account for each mini dungeon.

I am going to continue my mad suggestion spree, following up on the Commander. as always, this is just ideas and thought spin. It is things I think could be cool or give good functionality and it is something I have been thinking of. It is however, not a request of any kind, nor is it any kind of ranting. If Anet chose to be inspired by these things, I’ll be happy, if not, I’ll settle for being happy with just having written it.
So here is a few thoughts about the commander
We have a commander which have a few chat commands and he can be seen on the map. Here are my thoughts for the commander, expanding its possibilities:
Commanders User Interface(CUI)
The CUI should be a long box at the side of the screen where a party is usually located. It should contain a squad list, a number indicating the amount of allies on the map, a number indicating the amount of supplies, total, in the squad and a number indicating the amount of supplies total in the general vicinity. (Within a range of 2000).
The squad list
In front of each player on the squad should be a few small icons.
Party status
The first icon, should be a number and a + or -, indicating party number x and weather it is expanded or not. When it is expanded the commander should be able to see the whole party, when its not expanded, the commander should only be able to see the number, and the +/- sign. Or possibly one player name from the party.
Double tapping on a party number, the commander should then be able to write, with blue text, underlined by yellow, as to show it’s a ”Party order”. The commander should not be able to see that party’s chat, unless he is already in that party.
None squad party members of a party in a CUI, should be shown with gray text, as with offline members in the guild. Such members should still be able to see the “order”.
Party functions
A commander should be able to move one player from one party to another. This should pop up on the players screen with “The commander’s request” and the ability to accept or reject the move. This should also enable the commander to put none partied people into parties, for better maneuvering.
The commander should be able to see supplies for the party, total, and for each member in that party.
Generals Party
A new layer of command could then be implemented and a General Commander added. A General’s party should have the size of 10, and only commanders with organized squads should be able to join it, the Generals CUI should have the same functionality as the Commanders, but it should show ALL allies on the map. As they would all be part of the General’s team. The general should be able to move one person from one commander’s squad to another commander’s squad, as a request, the same way the commander could move people into parties.
The general should be able to see if a player can tag up. In addition, the general commander should be able to make a commander request, by clicking a none active commander icon. If the player accept, he automatically tags up, with the color chosen by the general.
Generals CUI
When hitting M, the general should be able to see an expanded CUI, with an icon for each of his commanders. These icons, he should be able to put on the map, as to order a commander and his squad to a specific location, while ordering a different commander to a different location, at the same time giving them an attack, defend, or rally order.
While on the map, the general should be able to see the General’s Party Chat. Each commander in that chat writing with his/her specific commander color.
General Rally Command
The general should have a Generals Rally Command function summoning a whole squad, to the General’s location, so long as he is inside of a Keep or castle, which his world own. This command should not function, if the keep or castle, is under siege.
In game Voice Communication
In game voice communication mechanics would be awesome. It should be something easily accessible and a simple “turn on my microphone” in the party UI.
The commander should be able to turn his voice on/off in the squad, he should also be able to turn it on in specific parties. The general should however only be able to turn on his voice in the Generals Party. When a commander speak in the generals party, his commander tag should light up on the generals screen.

yeah… right… It was a MAJOR issue with low levels trying to do tasks with high levels around… you never got to land a blow before the mob you were on your way to died off… it took a low level triple the time to do the same tasks that the high levels was bursting over like a kitten… HOPEFULLY they made the scaling harsh enough for it to be the same…

Obviously it haven’t been supportive… seriously guys… get a grip… NONE sees an OPEN RP… It is as rare as having a celestial dye drop… honestly its more rare i have had more celestial dyes drop for me than i have seen RPers in game… You guys always go into hiding, so the rest of us never get a good view at the RP community and have a hard time finding it. If you want Anet to take you seriously, at least, at the very least, come out of hiding, in game, and show the COMMUNITY that you exist… then, as you make the experience of the game better for everyone… maybe, they will make the experience better, for you as well…

The Grawl’s rabbits summons ice worms, and that is kinda funny. But those aren’t corrupted by the dragons. Which is what i think would be cool :P
But of course, as you say, a different alternative could be that the ambient creatures are killed and used to spawn a corrupted creature of the same kind… o.O
I realize there should be some kinda limit to how many ambient mobs can be spawned but i think this could work out fine x3
And sir, if the spirit of hare keeps them safe… I WANT A SPIRIT OF HARE SPECIALIZATION! O.O

Theres a lot of creatures in the game that could be corrupted, but are not. heres a short list, of ideas, that might work really well, and be a lot of fun.
Icebood/Branded Rabbit
We have a lot of rabbits running around, uncorrupted and, seemingly, incorruptible.
We all know, that in Orr, even the Chickens are corrupted by Zaithan. And there are some pretty OP chickens out there, especially if they get angry with you. We all know the bunny from the fractals, which is just absurdly cute when it eats your brainz.
It would be a great deal of fun, with Corrupted Sabertooth Bunnies Wacking our butts somewhere, like up in Snowden drifts and along the dragon brand. It would be cool to give them a champion event too, with a Champion Giant Icebrood/Branded Sabertooth Rabbit. and it would make sense.
But in fact, what I’m really suggesting, is not just for the rabbits. There are a lot of small creatures that dies off so fast out there… What would be really nice, would be a “corruption skills” usable by vet Icebrood Norns and the vet Branded. It should function in the same manner as the Maize Balm But turn ambient creatures into corrupted creatures of the same kind.
What do you guys think about this?

1) we know, what is it that you are trying to say though?
2) rewards should not appear nor disappear until the battle is over. so this works perfectly fine? o.O
3) Some items are limited to the time they were released at… this gives old players a feeling of historical achievement… its meant to be that way o.O
4) this is a good suggestion im for it.
5) Most of the drops can either be sold for coin or Salvaged for Luck and Crafting materials… just calling it junk and giving coin, would take away your drop improvement and your main source of crafting materials o.O

So… based on that accord, anyone with a mind, is a Mordremoth minion?… The sylvari may be minions of both body and mind, but the rest of us are certainly corruptible by mind too. why? because the dragon domain is minds, and don’t we all have one of those, you simpleton?
There are documented cases of Zaithan corrupting living beings, there were even a witch, willingly, letting herself corrupt, Asura, as far as i remember, though i may be wrong. A human were slightly corrupted too before he tried to kill his queen. He were corrupted while still being alive. We have also seen living turning on each other unwillingly, due to the influence of Zaithans minions. Even a pact commander killed pact forces due to Zaithans mesmer servant.
The Sylvari cannot however be spiritual servants of Mordremoth like none else is a spiritual servant of Zaithan. Glint was corrupted by Kralkatorrik, and yet, she was able to both break loose from the dragons control and to reproduce afterwards. Given that she protected her offspring, holding the wisdom she had, we must consider the possibility that her offspring were not corrupted, even though it, as she was, would be corruptible. This also means we have recorded cases of Hero’s, i am referring to Destiny’s Edge, have teamed up with a former dragon minion.
I believe that it is by spiritual means that the dragons corruption must be defeated. I will personally set up a crew to study this further, once I have completed my Research on the spiritual magic… I might be convinced to join your crew too Getefix.9150 since you does not sound like a complete dimwit.
We may however have to capture a few night mare subjects for our research. if we can distort the corruption in those, we might stand a chance to purify any Sylvari.

For warriors i would love..
1. a pistol
2. a poisoned spearor go creative and exotic a bit and give the warrior something unique.
3. a boomerang,
aimed at one person but also has an option to do a group opponents circle strike before coming back to the warriors hand.4. a poison dart pipe lot of native warriors used that has some range and poison stacking strong, think about curare paralysing the opponent etc.
5. a Sai that can be thrown like sword, can block melee and can strike short range.
no new weapon types for this expansion, this has been confirmed.

I think the problem is, that the PVE’ers wouldn’t mind exploring those 4 maps… If they could do it on PVE terms. The ghosting suggested earlier would allow that, so I’m going to build onto it further:
Entering WvW in ghost mode should not make anything invisible at all. It should simply toss you into a simplified instance of WvW for exploration and learning purposes.
In the instance, the player should be commander and have unlimited amounts of blue prints. 50 NPC fighters should follow the player all over the map, with options to move them to specific places, using the commanders Map Orders. ALL objectives around the map should be owned by an opposing NPC force of 30-50 units.
This could also be used to teach new players basic WvW, how to build siege engines, what value things have, etc etc. Without having to worry about other players spoiling their exploration. this game mode would make exploring WvW, interesting, and though still time consuming, it wouldn’t be months and years without end, waiting for an opening, while being a bother to the real WvW’ers, because, you cant spy, and you don’t fill up a slot on the server… because, you’re inside an instance… and hey! when you get outa there… you know a little bit about WvW, before rushing in there…
Of the people who had to do it before you? as Bold expressed it: I am quite sure that those people would be happy, not to have to do that again… And if they are not, they should stick their legendary up where it belongs… Yes… you got it right… there are a lot of players who doesn’t care about the legendaries… But do world exploration, for the freaking sake of world exploration… to those, WvW is a real pain… and those are often the ones annoyed with it, because, hey, We wanna PvE… We don’t care about WvW or them ugly legendaries with their horrible trail(I will just stop there because otherwise i’ll write a short book about how horrible i think they are and how sad i am that theres no cool looking legendary skins)… Sure, if you want a bragging stick, go for it, but why should that have to affect the rest of us, who just want to play the game and have fun? Why the heck do we have to run around like idiots (no offense) to feel the character have completed PvE? o.O but no… those numbers are still stuck on 99% instead of 100%, because, WvW…
That said… on long terms, its no more annoying than a flee on your shoe… just step on it and get it over with…

Account Bound Equipment
So, we have a lot of account bound equipment, it is however, rather tedious to switch back and forth between character to move ascended and legendary gear.
To address this issue i have a few suggestions: I was not thinking of Ender Chests!
Account 20 slot Bag
This bag should, for all purposes, function like an invisible bag. However, if you have such a bag equipped on 2 different characters, it will function like the bank. Whatever one character puts into it, will be there on the other character.
The account bag should furthermore be an ascended and legendary equipment bag.
Account Equipment Tab
The account equipment tab should be almost like the normal equipment tab. However, it should contain 3 rows of armor (Soldier, Adventurers, Scholar), 1 for accessories (including 2 rings, 2 accessories, an amulet and a back piece), and none for weapons.
To equip account equipment, one should 1: be out of combat and 2: Hit a button in the account equipment tab.
The account equipment should take effect for stats and number values only, thus, equipping the account equipment, should have no effect on the characters looks. (This is to remove the annoying factor that we cant equip a character with cultural armor, if we cant to move it around on our account)
Unlocking Ascended or Legendary Equipment
As an alternative, ascended and legendary equipment could be unlocked, using the same idea as of the wardrobe. Once unlocked, the items would be usable, for all characters, without having to move them around.

Just how are they not relevant and viable in current PvE? o.O’ If your build doesn’t work the way you intend it to… Then maybe you should rework your build rather than complaining about it?
