Leave it to A-net to decide whether the suggestion is possible or not.
(edited by Zelanard.5806)
It may be in game but truthfully, lore wise, it makes no sense. Why should any god bless an atheist? How does the Charr statue give a boon when boon giving at a statue is a god like attribute. Why would making a statue of a mortal, no matter how famous they are, give the statue or the dead person the ability to give a blessing? Why only Charr statues then? Why wouldn’t statues of famous Humans, Norn, Sylvari or Asura give a buff too upon request?
But, no matter. You just want shrines and statues that give buffs and whether or not it makes sense is beside the point.
/shrug.
I’ve said a few times now, and allow me to cut it out in neon for you The Buff Does Not Matter! It Is Not Important!
No one care about the buff… it’s a minor effect… What we care about is the Flavour and the Lore… And it makes perfect sense. Why would a god not bless ANYONE who chose to worship them, regardless of which race they belong to?
Kneeling in front of a shrine = sign of worship. Thus the god would bless you, regardless of which race you belong to…What you want is already in the game for the most part then since you are ignoring boons. Go to racial cities and you will find statues, labs, and whatever. Well, not the Sylvari but plants and the Great Tree are there. Is it just a matter of requesting the emotes then?
As I understand OP’s perspective, it’s the possibility of some sort of lore-related reaction from paying homage/saluting/worshipping at these shrines that is being requested here. Shrine/statue-emote interactions already exist at rare points through Central Tyria, and it would be nice to see more.
Not really… my point is that kryta is bigger than divinity’s reach. Yet there is no intact shrines except for in DR. I don’t care about what is in the cities. The cities are packed with it and need nothing more. I care about what is in the countryside. my suggestion is simply that the Krytan maps are made to contain some of the Human culture that have been completely neglected in this game, but was there as a subtle layer in All of the first guild wars.
The emotes/Salutes/Whatever are just a minor detail that I don’t really give a dime about, but some people find it amusing to get a reaction from doing stuff.
Heck, for all i care it might as well just write on your screen “You feel the gods gaze upon you” and then nothing else happens. Though I don’t care about the boons and what’s not, it would still make sense to use it, since it’s already implemented.
EDIT: As it is now, the human maps are generic around maps with NO cultural depth and NO feeling that connect them to their race. I find this sad and i think adding some flavour to the maps could improve the experience from being in them, a lot.

Attachment1: Having to crowl under the inventory to find some food to refresh (nobody saw that you made it last 30 mins on purpose, so that we always waste 5 mins of it, nope nobody saw it) is a pain in the kitten . Fear not, introducing a never seen before feature, i give you this wonderfull brand new invention: THE SHORTCUT
How about sorting your inventory? I usually put my food to the bottom so i only need to scroll down and use it. Things that i need very often (weapons, feathers etc) are at the top and loot somewhere in the middle of both. 2nd and 3rd equip is right above the food. Its not that hard to sort things. Just avoid the compact option :S
you don’t have to avoid the compact option. Just get invisible bags for permanent inventory items. :P
There is already a highlight around your own tile in the squad panel.
No.
Is this anything like your party being a lighter blue than the squad blue?
It’s a hardly visible white frame. It’s visible when you’re using the large squad window but in the small one, it’s hardly possible to see.
however is kicking someone right before the boss is dead reportable.
i belive it should be
If it means that much to you, you can try. But frankly, if I were you, I’d just get over it. I mean really, you’ve waisted another 20 minute at least being upset about it and writing on the forums. 20 minutes is simply not worth all that work, effort and bad feeling, now is it?
Grab another 20 minutes, and do the boss again with other people. Enjoy it, have fun, and forget the jerks who kicked you. just block those you didn’t enjoy playing with and move on.
That’s what I’d do anyway
what should i have stacked on boss and let glenna die? it would of be a waste of 20 minutes. still it was a waste of 20 mins for me cause i was kicked
People insulting you and being rude towards you, is reportable. People being bad at what they’re doing or not knowing the mechanics, is not reportable.
In addition, and I’m sorry to break this to you, but If you did whatever you wanted in a raid, instead of doing what your commander told you to do, regardless of mechanics, you did more wrong than any of them.
they were too far away and glenna was starting to get stacks from not having anyone near her. he wouldn’t listen when i said that she was going to die so i went and stood near her. cause seekers still spawn at last fight.cause he told everyone too stack on boss at door so they could kill warg
That part is not reportable though…
All races except Sylvari: Subrace – Rissen
Since the demise of Zaithan, the mightiest amongst his forces might have gained self control. These beings might have been good people in their life and in their unlife, they might be willing to fight for the living. And their elite specs could involve heavy use of riffles.
How is elite specs related to new races? xD
No. why would you think this is reportable behavior?
Because he were treated with exceeding rudeness?
OK, technically, there is a nearly invisible line above and below our toons (see the attached screenshot I just took), I had to zoom the picture to over 200% to even realize there was anything there.
Can we get this changed to actually show in game? 1920×1080 is pretty standard, and those lines are basically non-existent at that resolution.
Agreed. in large squad that frame is hardly visible. I would give a few other suggestions though:
This would mean that
This could work… However, I’d say only for dragons that have been slain. Atm I can see three sub races come into play this way:
Sylvari: Subrace – Mordrem Guard
Since the mordrem are left without a leader, some of the Mordrem guard might rejoin the Sylvari, having regained their own mind.
All races except Sylvari: Subrace – Rissen
Since the demise of Zaithan, the mightiest amongst his forces might have gained self control. These beings might have been good people in their life and in their unlife, they might be willing to fight for the living.
All races: Blighted
Beings that raised from victims bound to a blighting tree, might gain awareness of what they are and what their originals were. Such creatures could possibly form a wish to become more than draconic minions, just like the Sylvari are more than that.
EDIT: I could never see a destroyer as playable. However, whatever have happened to the flame legion, it is clear that they have been influenced by primordus. So I could see his corruption do things to people.
Are we really talking about worship or just respecting a foreign custom? I can see a charr politely kneeling to a human god shrine to get some boon, without feeling any particular worship for the god, just as a human might salute a charr deity if that was the custom.
When in Rome…
I think that the only ones who would ever worship the Human gods are Humans and possibly Norn (Since Norn admit to the gods being greater spirits).
To everyone else, it would be a polite gesture rather than a worship.
The mechanics of the game also have the effect that if you press and Hold the skill, it function as auto cast. You’ll have to press the key once and then leave it be, for it to not cast again. On the thief this means that if you hold the skill’s button for longer than the skills casting time, it’ll cast again.
It’s not a bug, it was in the update notes with one of the last few updates.

Kneeling in front of a shrine = sign of worship. Thus the god would bless you, regardless of which race you belong to…
Let me get this right, you want my Charr characters to kneel before deities? Much less possibly human ones?
No. I want humans to kneel before human shrines. Charr can go salute their statues of their hero’s instead…
What would Asura and Sylvari do then? Are there going to be different shrines for all the races on each map or will each race only able to get a buff while on its racial maps? What about shared maps, such as Maguuma for both Asura and Sylvari? If only racial maps then what about non core maps (where buffs would be more wanted than the core maps).
If you’re going to split it up by race and each race can only get buffs from their race’s then it quickly becomes either too restrictive or too unwieldy.
I never said that it shouldn’t work for other races…
Menadena.7482: stated a Lorewise issue with a Charr being willing to kneel to the human gods, which makes perfect sense. That does not mean that it should not work for him to do so…
And no, Sylvari are as a race atheists and asura, though admitting to the existance of the human gods, does not build shrines… they are scientists. they build labs…“No. I want humans to kneel before human shrines. Charr can go salute their statues of their hero’s instead…”
Well, this says that humans and Charr would have their own separate shrines. Human shrines in human lands and hero statues in Charr lands, so it implies separation. Seems kind of strange for a human to salute a Charr hero who may have killed or enslaved humans during the time of the searing to get a blessing….
So how does it work for Sylvari and Asura then? They don’t get to have any boosts? Someone playing on a Sylvari or Asura with a friend who has a human, Charr or Norn character and one can get a boost and the other can’t? Or does a Sylvari, an atheist, kneel at a human god shrine and that god give him a boost?
Edit: how do Charr hero statues give a boon anyway? God statues do because they’e gods and gods can do that. Who or what is giving the boon with a Charr statue? Does the Charr hero have godlike power of boon giving because the Charr made a statue of him? Would any statue of any Charr work? How famous or important would the Charr need to be to give a boon upon a salute?
Charr already have theirs and i was responding to what Menadena.7482 said. quit taking what i say out of context please?
For a response to the rest of what you just said: Go to Victory Cenotaph in plains of ashford and use /salute in front of the statue with an asura or sylvari. there you have your answer.
Let me get this right, you want my Charr characters to kneel before deities? Much less possibly human ones?

(Also just an FYI for your original post – Krytans, even in formal settings, use modern English. A sentence like “I write to thee this letter,” would be as outdated to them as it is to us.)
You sure ain’t used to dealing with royalty or nobility. It’s not the least out dated.
It’s just not used amongst, or when speaking to, normal people. In the royal chivalry (part of the life guard) we were taught to speak that way because that is how you do when speaking to royals or higher ranking officers.
Honestly, what the other races have is completely irrelevant to my OP.
I never said the exact system from gw1… >.> The point was to get more Flavour for the Human places, and possibly eliminating that unconfirmed hypothesis you just aired.
I read through the entire lore manual that was released with gw2, and don’t remember them mention that the gods have withdrawn further. I’d really like to see where you get that from? (I will start reading it again to confirm, cos I don’t trust my memory now xD)
Obviously the gods will lose power in the world when they loose followers and believers, that is no excuse to let their places of worship decay, now is it?
I mean really, places that should have shrines would, of the top of my head, include:
And none of these places have even the hint, of there being any human gods, while All of them should have it… That is, unless the humans turned their backs on the gods, which we clearly didn’t since our racial skills indicate that we do pray to them, AND they do answer our prayers…
Huh..? There’s already a lot of shrines and statues that gives you boons when you kneel o.o .. also, have you tried dancing in front of statue of abaddon inside the durmand priory basement?
Point is: There should be at least one at every Krytan village or outpost…
Right now there’s One in Harati Hinterlands. And I’ve heard rumours that the Grenth statue in Lornars pass have that effect too, but it doesn’t work for me when I try it.
In the open world, that’s the only two places of worship to the human gods that have any effect as far as I know… Please, do enlighten me on more?
(and yes, but that is locked inside story instances and thus, does not contribute to the open world flavour effects)
I have heard of this issue before. It was a huge issue just when windows 10 came out.
The option “Windowed Fullscreen” should solve it, as far as I know, it was made for that very purpose.
I could see that coming… for 5000gems/tool… which would be a decent price considering what you get for your money…
I don’t get it… I thought you had to double tap jumping to glide until my old man told me how this problem annoys him… at first I didn’t believe him…
I’ve never held down my jumping button for long enough to get into this issue and it must be incredibly hard to do jumping puzzles if you do…
I can see both pros and cons to making a toggle on/off, but hey, I wont complain if they do make it.
If I were you (whoever have this issue) I would do a lot of puzzles, until it stops being annoying…
So, where would you guys want to see temples and shrines?
After a conversation with a friend about having the Mesmer use a trident on land, I got a few ideas to alter an old suggestion I made an age go. Since I couldn’t find the thread, and did not want to Necropost anyway, i am reposting the suggestion here.
Mesmer: Elite Demonologist
The Mesmer already study chaos magic. The next and deeper step, would naturally lead to summoning demons rather than illusions.
Land Trident Proficiency
Allows the use of a tident on land, and grant the Mesmer word spells.
Word spells have a range of 600 and affect up to 5 targets within range
Specialization
Minor traits
Major trait’s
Skills:
Healing Concealment – Demon lights: Gain x health. Summon a Margonite which heal allies and remove conditions.
Concealment – Demonic Concealment: Summon a Margonite at your location and teleport to a random location. For 5 seconds you become a Margonite.
Concealment – Demons blur: Gain distortion for 5 seconds.
Concealment – Vanish: Teleport to a random location and gain stealth for 5 seconds.
Concealment – Toxic blur: For 5 seconds you emit a poison cloud. Leaving a trail of poison after you. The trail count as a poison field.
Elite Concealment – Chaotic hex: for 5 seconds, any skill or attack used on the demonologist, is used on the user instead.
Margonites
Margonites have more HP than Phantasms. They can always use:
OBS! The demons does not have to be margonites. I chose them, because i adore their looks and think they’d fit right in with the Mesmer. In addition i’m thinking that if Rytlock can summon a Margonite inside himself, why should a demonologist not be able to summon them outside for a limited duration?

And Tridents are functioning exactly like staffs underwater…
You did xD.
I agree they have some similarities, I just disagree they are exactly the same. Hrm I don’t really play guardian, I wasn’t aware that their trident 1 was the wave style attack. The 2 is pretty close. The 3 from staff adds a buff instead of just AE damage. The 4 are pretty different and the 5s are both control type effects, but the use is different.
If you mean more over all, the staff and trident have the same overall function, support focused with a bit of damage I would agree. I just don’t think having the same function is equal to playing the same.
Having more options like land spears, tridents, and spear guns would add new aways to do different jobs for each prof. As well as add a little bit of use for the underwater weapons which are sorely overlooked.
Touché ;P
I did mean overall functionality. :P and that I still think is exactly the same.
I do not think that adding more weapons with the same functionality would have any benefit at all.
But hey, we are slightly out of the topics core, if we continue in this like we’re going to get this thread closed. Lets continue another place.
Ahh I just figured he meant the weapon type based on it’s graphic look xD, and this is a thread about land spears so I figured spears should be the focal point
They aren’t exactly the same, some are even more different depending on your professions.
Which trident works the same way as the ranger staff, guardians staff, and especially thief staff?
There are some similarities for the others, but I wouldn’t say they function “exactly” the same.
The guardian staff and trident and the druids staff are much alike. The thief and reverent staffs are more like spears. The druid staff is a lot like the guardian staff.
The way I see it, they should just add the trident skins to the staff skins. Many of them are the same, anyway. ^^-
And who ever said “exactly”?
Leadership improvement suggestion
Sometimes, being a commander in PVE can be real hard to be the commander. It’s a lot more stressful than just following along and doing as you’re told or just following along and doing whatever you want. This suggestion should only apply to PVE content and the rewards should be strictly PVE minded.
Commanders Shop Items
The commanders shop should contain special bonuses that, when the commander use them, give the commander and his entire squad, a special bonus.
Tridents and Spearguns are effectively Staves and Rifles respectively. So, no.
I’d say yes~. It would be awesome to get some actual use out of these weapons, and there are lots of skins for them allready in game.
I’m not sure what you are basing the fact that trident/spear are effectively staves on. If you mean in real life, a spear or trident has different uses then a staff. If you mean in game then it’s even more different, there is currently only ONE class that uses a staff in the sense that it is a melee weapon. So unless implying that spear/tridents are weapons used to shoot beams, rainbows, fire, or light waves I think the spear and/or tridents could be very different.
Spear guns vs riffles, maybe make them a shorter range more controlly weapon.
He were talking about riffles and tridents, not spears o.O And Tridents are functioning exactly like staffs underwater… The in game function would thus already be there.
However I think that Surface tridents could server a different purpose than the staffs and underwater tridents.

I liked the expansion packs in GW1 because they let you really focus on a whole different story… a lot of the criticism of HoT was that it wasn’t welcoming for new players in the slightest. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? I’d like to see something similar to nightfall where the focus is intense story telling
HoT was never meant to be for new players. Why would High level endgame content, be welcoming to new players?
Exactly. That was HoT’s failure.
I would like that too. I’d love to have both Cantha and Elona back.
However, GW2 is not the same kind of game as GW1. It’s not possible to do it in the same way unless they double their team size with each standalone game release…They don’t need to do it the same way as gw1 campaigns (as a mergable standalone). Having a branching out expansion that is not centered on hardcore minority is still an option.
You’re allowed to want a low level only kinda game… But most of the player base wanted high level endgame content, which, HoT was designed to give them. I Fail to see any kind of mistake in that. If anyone is mistaken, it is the players who think they can go straight from noob to endgame, and then complain that they get their butts wooped. o.O
I had a Warrior elite spec idea to tie in with Tengu
It would be called “Samurai,” and it would wield Naginatas. It’s utility skills would be meditations, and the new Focus bursts would be stronger and faster than regular bursts but require 5 bars instead of 3.
Unfortunately, video games have a thing for ignoring how almost everybody used polearms back in the day. Swords were a fashion statement and a sidearm that would be used when the polearm was no longer usable.
Your names are completely out of sync with the gw2 universe though. Even on Cantha they didn’t use the japanese names. A Samurai, is basically just another word for a soldier.
But I’ve kind of always wished GW2 had controller support.
I just prefer a controller vs KB/M
I cant remember which programs i used for it, but you can set up an X-box controller to do just that :P
Or you can go to PvP dueling servers, or guild hall arenas, or into Obsidian sanctum….
That would not give the option to challenge people in an open field for insulting his god. It wouldn’t let random PVE players watch the match, as would be the purpose :P
Or am I just completely off there?
I’m not dead sure what you’re asking for.
The part " a lot of the criticism of HoT was that it wasn’t welcoming for new players in the slightest." Are you asking for the game to have everyone make new characters and level to max in order to do the expansion so that new people won’t be left out? Cuz that’s not really fair to the vets. The new people now have a level 80 boost to use or not as they wish. That’s a better solution than forcing everyone to select a new main and relevel.
As to the story. The game is not really set up to go off in a completely new story lines since they are in the middle of a story right now with the dragons and the effect of unbound magic on the world. However expanding on old story lines during this would be a way to bring in new/old material as they go along.
In gw1, there were three complete stand alone games. Prophesies, Factions and Nightfall. You did not need the one to play the other. They each had their own separate story that played out on their own continents.
Players from other continents came into the games story midway (past the low level stuff) and took part in the story on equal terms with everyone else. They did not need to start all over to take part in the new story.
I believe this is what he is asking for?
I don’t mind the idea of challenging others to duels, but the the bobble would be a problem. Imagine someone issuing a challenge during an event that demands positioning and things like that…
The challengers should only be vulnerable to each other, and that should be plenty to avoid interference…
EDIT: The bubble could be okay in certain places, such as the pvp lobby or inside cities. But with a restriction that it cannot be made within a certain range of NPC’s.
I’d rather they make the broom and carpet into gliders. That’d be way more fitting.
I see neither need nor function in mounts in this game at all..
I liked the expansion packs in GW1 because they let you really focus on a whole different story… a lot of the criticism of HoT was that it wasn’t welcoming for new players in the slightest. However, GW2 is not the same kind of game as GW1. It’s not possible to do it in the same way unless they double their team size with each standalone game release…
I’ll throw my 5 cent of a brainstorm in this idea:
Warrior Elite Specialization: Knight
Spearskills
Skill 1 – Impale: Standard attack deals damage and cause vulnerability.
Skill 2 – Lancing strike: Deals massive damage and cause vulnerability.
Skill 3 – Phalanx volley: Attack 5 times and gain 2 seconds of Might for each attack.
Skill 4 – Defender: Gain protection and retaliation for 3 seconds.
Skill 5 – Present Spear: Channel for 5 seconds, Gain 1 stack of stability for 5 seconds, block one attack. If an attack was blocked, attacker takes damage.
Vows: The warrior gain vow skills. Each vow has a passive effect and cannot be activated. (all vows have Range 900 and affect Up to 5 targets, including the knight himself)
Guardian Elite Specialization: Paragon
Spearskills
Skill 1 – Barbed spear: Standard attack that cause 1 stack of bleeding for 2 seconds.
Skill 2 – Blazing spear: Attack that cause 3 stacks of burning for 2 seconds.
Skill 3 – Symbol of Flames: A symbol that cause burning to enemies, puls 5 times over 5 seconds.
I do not agree that the spear should be limited to a shield combo only, since this was never the case in GW1.
Chants: Chants are cast instantly and can be cast simultaneously with other skills. They affect up to 5 allies within range. The allies gain a status effect which, when a trigger occur, does Something.
It’s just sad that the gigantic and awesome lore this game has to offer might be hold back like this. I wonder if any sort of survey with a pre-paid feature would ArenaNet consider this; If they would know a chunk of this cost would be covered by players of the new race. Some sort of kickstarter funding thing. (Even though of course the costs are immense and not covered by having 1,000 x €50)
Shut up A-net and take our money! All of em… i’ll pay with the souls of forum posters if that’ll help too! oh.. wait.. skip that.. but even if you have to employ another hundred workers, to create this, and do it via kick starter project, I think it would be worth it! If you cant make the donations needed, at least you wont loose anything from trying!
Since it is a buy to play kind of game, it would make sense to treat each expansion with the same care as a stand alone game. Thus put the budget into it! Even if we have to pay though kick starter I’m all for it!
I understood exactly what you were asking for. Well, almost exactly. I didn’t realize you were asking for actual boons, I thought you were asking that there be more flavor locations in the world since humans worship six gods that at one time were manifest and we know there are shrines to them, so why don’t we see those shrines the way we see norn spirit shrines?
I also predicted (to myself, so I cannot prove this) that it would be sent to Community Creations due to being very creative writing.
As to the suggestion itself, I’m all for more detail in the world, more things scattered about because they would be there in an “actual” Tyria even though they have no game mechanic advantage. More infrastructure, if you will. It makes the world feel so much more complete.
I added the “boons” to the actual suggestion ^^’ that’s why it weren’t there in the original post
And this is exactly what I meant. A huge bunch of the lore is stuffed away in the gods, and the gods, well… those we never really see except for inside of DR, which is just sad.
(And TY, it saves my day to know I’m not completely incomprehensible ^^’)
Well I’m not going to argue with you about it. Just a suggestion for your future suggestions.
ik… sry… it just hit a soft spot ^^’
Personally I couldn’t really tell what you were trying to say either. It looked like some RP on the forum to me. For suggestions, if you want the busy Anet staff to read and consider them it’s probably best to be as clear and concise as possible.
From my perspective, I was being Very clear… >.> From my perspective, there were NOTHING to misunderstand and NOTHING that was hard to get… So yeah… Obviously…
…Was it really that hard to decrypt that? T.T
Oh, is that what you were asking for. I couldn’t make heads nor tails out of your previous post.
Yeah. Shrines we could kneel at and get boosts would be cool. However since the lore says the gods have left Tyria to itself I don’t see how it would work. Either they’re around and they can give boosts or they’re not around and they can’t.
The gods left according to the lore, way before the events of gw1 during the exodus of the gods… We have racial skills that call their power as it is. that they gods left only means that they left In Person.
Edit: Thus, after the events of gw1, the only thing that makes the gods be less essential, is that we have abandoned them, not the other way around. :P
So, because of the creative way that i wrote my last topic, it was removed from this section of the forum to the community creations part of the forum… To my great amusement.
Therefore, here’s plain old boring boring edition: Some of the old magic from gw, feels rather sad to miss out on in GW2. It wasn’t about the stat boosts, it wasn’t about the buildings. In gw, when you used /kneel in front of a shrine, an emissary of the god would show itself to you. it was all about the lore, and in gw2, there’s but a small remnant of it renaming.
This only happens when you kneel in front of the Dwayna statue in Martyr’s tomb, and the grenth statue in the personal story.
It would be awesome if we could get some road shrines in Kryta with the same effect and the option to pay an offering to the god. The offering boon don’t have to be something splendid, a speed boost would be plenty for all I care. But having some of the lore bound mechanics back would be superb.
What do you think?
Guild halls are useless, so unless they make them more useful it looks like a waste of development resources. You spend maybe 1min a day there to mine the resources then never touch it again for the day.
That may be how You see it, but some of us enjoy spending time there hanging out with guildies :P
Your Majesty, our beloved queen
I am Lady Yoko of the order of Balthazr, from the noble house of Senshi, of Canthan decent. Since my first mother, joined the cause of the shining blade to fight against the white mantle, and was knighted for assisting Queen Samla in her battles with the mantle, my family have served the Kryta.
I write to thee this letter, with a humble plea. Four years have passed since the demise of Zaithan and the retaking of orr. Four years have passed and yet, her former glory stand in ruin, and behold, she is not alone.
From the tomb of the Matyr to the temple of Ages, The places of worship all throughout Kryta lies all but in ruins. No roadside shrines remind the travelers of the glory and the blessings of the gods.
Beloved Majesty, we have all but forsaken them. We are not the Charr. We have gods to show our faith, and they will give us direction. We have temples and shrines built and maintained within the city of divinity’s reach. We have the craftsmanship to restore the former glory of the gods within the borders of our nation.
Therefore Your Majesty, I plea for a delegation of craftsmen. First I would reconstruct the tomb of the martyr into a temple to the goddess Kormir. She who hold the power that first gave magic to the world, for a time is nigh at hand in which we will need her wisdom.
Following this, I would see it fit to restore and construct shrines on the roads all throughout Kryta and Orr and rebuild the temples of the gods and the city of Arah.
Once upon a time, the god Abaddon, let magic loose upon the world. On the plea of the King it was sealed away in stone, by the blood of the king and the hand of the gods.
In these days, the seal on the bloodstone is breaking. Dragons are slain, and thus magic are yet again freely let loose upon the world. Lest we find a solution Your Majesty, I fear lest the threat of slaying the dragons might be greater than keeping them alive. Behold a solution is at our very hand for it have been done before. Either, we must plea with the gods to seal the magic yet again, in stone. Or we must plea with them, to grant this overflowing magic to a divine order, an order of magical keepers. Though slightly different, the power of Abaddon were given to Spearmarshal Kormir of the Sunspears, the same could be done, through the blessing of the gods, in a smaller scale, with the overflowing magic we see in the world today.
Both these solutions would however, demand the gods to look upon the world. We are letting their sacred places fall into decay. We need to restore that which have been lost. We need to show the gods our sanctity, reverence and love for them.
We need to call upon the goddess Kormir, to guide us through this magical crisis.
We need to call upon the goddess Melandru, to destroy the bond the Sylvari’s draconic origin. They could be her children, and through our prayers and reverence towards Her, we may end this heedless racism towards them. We need the Sylvari in the struggle against the remaining dragons. Should we slay kralkatorrik, the dragon of the crystal dessert, we will also need them to defend against the undead threat of Palawa Joko, the Scourge of Vabbi.
We need to call upon the god Balthazar, for guidance through the war against the dragons and the centaurs.
We need to call upon the goddess of Lyssa, to see through the deception of our enemies.
We need to call upon the god Grenth, for the souls of the fallen.
We need to call upon the goddess Dwayna, for her soothing touch, to heal the lands of Orr.
Beloved Majesty, I plea that thou will grant the resources and manpower, to rebuild and reconstruct, to the glory of the gods, at the very least, within the borders of our own lands.
Sincerely,
Lady Yoko, and the house Senshi.
For the highlight on the squad: great idea.
For the food in inventory: That… is a quite decent idea o.O but please… make that 5 slots… not 1 xD
-a Fortress Deldrimor, for those who do not know it’s a dwarf architecture
or
-a Ark Floating Kodan, with decor “ice” and “snow” that would complement a palette of opposition decor choices with the style “desert” of canion
or
-a Outpost Tengu, an Asian style will delight the eyes of manga fans and is quite the game-play of the game with the city Tengu next to the Lion Arch is still inaccessible ^. ^
Two of your suggestions would be perfect for a Jormag slaying expansion! ^^-
The Tengu hall… I still hope for a new playable race. I still hope that the area next to LA will become a Tengu starting area.
Though it is hard for me to see it fit into an expansion theme at all, I would not be opposed to the alternative of having the area as a guild hall.
With the upcoming expansion I would personally love to see:
The maximum rank for an agent of whispers in gw1: “Holy Lightbringer” – Just saying that gives me the chills, gewsh!
It is in practice an order dedicated to fight the Nightfall… I mean, really…
I want to know how this sounds evil to anyone… xD
