“So in war, the way is to avoid what is strong and to strike at what is weak.” – Sun Tzu
“Knowing is half the battle. The other half is violence, because, you know, war. I’m just saying kids, when you go to war, you kill people. And that’s why I started a day care.” – Cobra Commander
I think we will survive the loss of GODS.
Well, bye!
haha! I will not most definitely be tossing up my commander icon and leading more zergs on the FA BL now that I know I have opportunities to redeem some of that gear I lost to you back in the day! Those Evil Empire vs losk/fate/(forget the other guild) CPK matches were intense. ULTD Guardians are going to hate me now that I will be targeting them specifically………
funny that we’re on opposite sides again after that brief stint of owning n00b horde in WoW.
on a different note, I can tell you none of the 2v1 talk is true. The closest it EVER gets is when we’re on a map and it becomes “The enemy of my enemy is my friend… for now”. ever since the collapse of the EE and the backstabbing that went on there, I don’t trust alliances.
It isnt as much as EE collapsed as we dont do much wvw together anymore. Were mostly at the moment running dungeons/trying to get our groups into competitive spvp.
Sorry! EE was a reference to Medievia / Daedalus. It stood for Evil Empire, which was an alliance of clans which got together to take out the 3 larger clans already existing. Once the other 3 clans started to slowly wittle down, EE collapsed and turned on itself. In that game, that meant people killed you and then took your gear.
sup cuxuit checking in
i thought cleon just got drunk and kicked everyone
then again i got kicked out of ee b/c I was 13 and dumb as woah back then
oh holy god i’m old
Baffles me.
We don’t like you. End of story.
cool.
Anyway why shouldn’t YB help TC win? The rankings are winner-neutral. YB gains points as long as either FA or TC are close to them in points (whether ahead or behind). Meanwhile it doesn’t help TC any to go after YB because they have to beat YB by orders of magnitude to just not lose points. For their #1st place finish last week they won a whopping negative 14 points, while FA won negative 12 points for #2nd, and YB won 24 points for 3rd.
One has [GODS] and one has [Gods]. Case sensitivity is complicated.
It’s too bad you guys aren’t having fun.
Well bye.
Getting a little tired of Fort Aspenwood taking our supply camps when we’re busy trying to fight off a group of Blackgate that significantly outnumbers us though… and one of our commanders has developed an almost unhealthy hatred of FA…. yeah, actually, most of us have. It’s like a mosquito flying around and biting you every few minutes. When you finally kill it, you can’t help but feel happy…catching and crushing those FA groups really is extra satisfying now.
c u in two weeks~
7:30 est saturday
ft aspenwood no queues for ebg or any borderlands.
yesterday at this time it was about a 2 hr queue.
With the exception of Grenth where I’ve memorized the spawns in perfect dance dance revolution fashion, I’ve been avoiding them in Orr. I generally find that going after dynamic events is extremely counter productive to, well, getting stuff.
Battle of whose prime time… has more time zones in it?
it would be cool if people threw that info out there because ::badges::
I’m super glad this rotation rid FA of some ridiculously annoying people.
The downside of long matches is that you end up with 30 to 46 hours at the end of the match where victory is mathematically assured for one team or defeat is mathematically guaranteed for another. Unfortunately, this trash time always falls on Friday and Saturday. I suspect this is also the time with the most concurrency. I know you guys are big on not giving preference to one group or another, but I think it’s reasonable to assume from your own server metrics that the vast majority of the world is not taking off most of Tuesday and Wednesday. If matches started on Thursday or Friday, at least trash time wouldn’t take place at peak concurrency.
