I salvaged 250 ectos and got 478 Piles of Crystalline Dust now. Plus a few stacks of luck essence. Worth it.

I got DC in Dry Top a few times now. It seems it’s not only WvW. I guess GW2 servers are unstable today. Soemthing is leaking.

The HoT maps feels alive and there is always something happening. The zones are just too good and fun. Then Ember Bay was released and I was like “what..” and thought that ArenaNet went backwards instead of forward. The core tyria zones are ok but they lack the active and alive feeling HoT maps give.
Bloodstone Fen was good because it still felt like a HoT map and not a step backward. They actually brought new skills to gliding which was great.

Ember Bay is the wrong direction to take and for me is not a fun map to play in. If I compare Ember Bay to any map that already exist I would say it’s like Southsun Cove. Southsun Cove is not very fun and it feels empty and dead. No thanks. Wrong direction there Anet.

Bloodstone Fen was a fun zone to play in. Ember Bay isn’t. Learn from your mistakes.
The whole HoT expansion content was good but not perfect.

Imagine the next expansion with what Bloodstone Fen have and the little things in Ember Bay that is good and that would be the ultimate expansion. The good things in Ember Bay is repeatable hearts and the thermal propulsion.

There should be achievements for raiding just like there is achievements for the other types of content. It would also be easier to keep track on what bosses you need to kill. Easy to forget and kill them 2x or more.

The achievements should reward ascended/legendary crafting meterials.

Elementalist needs a new support skill!

Dome of Earth: The Elementalist uses the minerals in the earth to create a protective dome which negates all attacks, while the outside is like a mirror you become invisible in the environment and can’t be seen by enemies.

I would love this skill in WvW. Invisible + invulnerable .

Lol that story was short. Most of it was listening to NPCs and running all over that island. You didn’t do much really. You collected a few items and activated 4 machines.

I hope next update gives us a little more to do. Maybe a group instance with some bosses and loot tied to the map? why not.

You can use lvl up books to lvl your character. Collect 80 and then give them to a new character and BAM, lvl 80.

Racials in open world pve and WvW would be ok. Absolutely not in SPvP, raids or fotm.

There are too many new players, bad players and players that leave so we are 4vs5 or even 3vs5. It’s not fun when you play ranked. You need to fix this asap ArenaNet.

How? A qualification test! unless you can’t complete the test you can’t join ranked. If you’re a bad player or if you leave games you can not play ranked for the entire season.

The trebuchet is good as it is right now. It can be very powerful if you know how to use it and if you can protect it from incoming enemies.

WvWvW needs an overhaul. The biggest problem with WvW now is the boring zergfest. Why do people zerg? zerging is a simple and effective way to play WvW, but it’s not the most fun way to do it, and certainly not the most effective.

How can we encourage smaller groups and split groups for more fun gameplay?

- WvW is a warzone of conquest and glory.
- Small objectives that has an impact on the war.
- Infiltration
- Scouting
- Stealing resources
- Ambushes
- Environmental events and consequences
- WvW specific skills
- The more objectives completed on your map the more and the better rewards. (encourage players to not just go in a big zerg to cap castles etc)

What if 2-3 players infiltrated a castle and put a few bombs in there and 10 min later the bombs explode unless someone disarms them. (WvW specific skills)
The castle’s walls will go down, opening it up for the enemies to conquer it.

Things like this is needed in WvW. More strategy. More tactic. More everything.

Play ESO (Elder Scrolls Online) if you want tanking. Best tanking in any mmorpg. It doesn’t matter what class you are, you can tank as any class, with the right gear, stats and skills.

Sorcerer tank? Yes, no problem!
Nightblade tank? Yes, no problem!
Dragonknight tank? Yes, no problem!
Templar tank? Yes, no problem!

And you can tank as any class in GW2, but you can’t taunt or keep aggro like in other mmorpgs with the holy trinity formula. You sure can mitigate damage though as any of the classes.

It would be interesting with a Daredvil tank build that focuses on evading and dodging.

Raids should not be about killing as fast as possible. It should require you to perform in a way that benefits the members of the raid. i’d say the key word is synergy.

As of now the raid wings require synergy, but is on a kitten timer, which makes it so bad I want to puke.

The timer is just a bad excuse for ArenaNet’s laziness. They should improve creating difficult content without something like adding a timer that requires the raid to have maximized dps.

IF the raid had a stage which the dps in the raid needed to do something specifically that only dps can do, then that would be fine. THOUGH, the whole raid (boss) fight should not be defined by how fast the dps can decrease the boss’s HP bar through the whole fight.

Umm well I disagree, I think the new Episode had a lot more actual story content than previous episodes did in just one episode. The way it was presented was better, as well. But ultimately I think the update cadence is what it is because they’re actively developing the 2nd expansion, otherwise we would probably be seeing more episodes, quickly.

Ok that’s disappointing to hear. Not a lot of content for each episode, but however if there are new zones for every episode then that’s pretty good.
The new content update was mostly farming as usual. Not much story even if the story was good quality.

The only problem with HoT expansion at launch was the rewards. They fixed that now though in the latest update. The content in HoT is really good though.

I hope they don’t remove vertical designed maps. It works very well and makes the maps feel more real and alive. Exciting way to adventure. A flat map would be very boring now after HoT.

This time gated kitten on Ascended armor and weapons is a kittening joke. Seriously improve it so it can be crafted in 2-3 days per armor piece/weapon, not 1-2 weeks per piece. Now it’s either be lucky to get a drop (with the wrong stats) or craft the weapon/armor and wait 1-2 weeks for ONE kittening lousy little piece.

Ascended is pretty much needed in fotm because you need AR.

It’s nothing hard or time consuming about Ascended. The only thing it is is a long boring wait until you can craft the next mithrillium and then you wait again and again and again until you can craft ONE ascended kittening weapon.

Put a timer on the actual weapon and armor piece instead.

Example:

Ascended weapons have a timer and will reset after 72 hours after being crafted.
Ascended armor have a timer and will reset after 24 hours after being crafted. (Armor has more pieces than a weapon, so it’s only logical to have a shorter reset time)

This is much better than the current system. Now you have to wait 9 times to craft something until you have the actual thing you need. With this new system you can craft what you need in the same day, within 24 hours and then you wait a few days until the next.

Hi I have a question about LoM. Is it possible to craft LoM from every possible crafting discipline or is the limit of 1 per day across all the crafting disciplines. If it is across all crafting disciplines I think they should change it so they are seperate.

If I have Weaponsmith, Armoursmith, Huntsman, Artificer I think it should be possible to craft 4 per day. If I only had weaponsmith it would be only 1 per day.

This would make it alot more worth to level up crafting and to be an end-game crafter. I think the best way to reward players is by the time and effort they put into something, and if you level up so many crafting disciplines then you should have access to more.

I think Tempest is most versatile among the elite specs. Just play the elite spec you like the most and don’t think about which is “best”.

If I were you I would build different elite specs for different game modes. It takes time but when you have built them it much easier to have fun in certain game mode then if you only have one elite spec for the entire game.

I’m a Swedish person raiding. I’m playing as a condi engineer and have been doing first boss for 2 weeks. Have only got it to 4%, but need a more organized squad to kill it.

It’s because they nerfed the content. Everyone is rushing through because of the nerfs. Once easy content is completed no one will come back to it, it’s a borefest. If ArenaNet didn’t nerf the content, then people would have stayed for the challenge. Challenges puts pressure on the player. If it’s too easy, especially when something is easy to gain, then people won’t feel the pressure and then they won’t come back to feel it.

ArenaNet said they would make us feel that pressure. Feel the challenge. Not doing that anymore after the nerfs.

How much more are ArenaNet going to nerf? How much will they destroy their new expansion, and how much will they ruin for the future of Guild wars 2.
A few people on the forum and reddit is all it takes for them to change their minds. 400 HP for an elite specialization was good and nice progression as end game content. Now they decreased to 250. That’s not the only nerf though. They also made nerfs to the mastery system and story. Now you can progress without some of the masteries.

ArenaNet have to stop doing this to their game. They have to stop listening to some players that brings the game down. If HoT was casual content only and not end game, then I would have understood. HoT is end game though, it’s beyond lvl 80 and it needs good and rewarding progression. Without end game progression Guild Wars 2 will have no future and it will be nothing more than a shallow human being filled with botox.

I’m not sure where this supposed hardcore presence came from, when has this game even been touted as hardcore. Yes it has challenging elements to it you may partake in if you wish, however none of those are a requirement to complete any main story or living story aspect of the game Infact you don’t even have to do those if you don’t want to.

I totally get why people are upset over the 400 HP needed for the Elite spec and placing weird barriers around them but those barriers you needed to get anyway to complete the story so does it really matter that it’s now 250 you still have to do the masteries regardless which is more grindy then killing a few champions most of which are easy as hell and people are asking for them all day and night that I’ve noticed.

The people that are whinging about it being reduced and somehow feeling like they are super important because they did it when it was “harder” you are the problem with the game. Yah you did 15 more HP’s then others… whoopdie dooooooo.

Have you ever played a game before. Ever played Zelda, ever played any of those old RPGs or even new ones? It’s supposed to be challenging. There is supposed to be progression. If you jsut get what you want as fast as you can then there is little or no progression. Do you want a game without progression, do you want everything handed to you like a spoiled kid?

Of kittening course there always will be a meta. What ArenaNet needs to do is to change the meta so it’s not zerker only. The point with raids was to require different stat combinations and more supportive/defensive skills.

By looking at the raid this weekend, you really needed a lot of dps, and not so much healing and defensive abillities. There was a squad that were 8 dps, 1 healer and 1 hybrid defensive/dps. And they completed it the first day. Give them 1 week and they can complete it with 10 dps.

Why do you scale healing power different for different classes and skills? Shouldn’t skills scale 100% of healing power. If not, 5% scale of healing power for Druid skills is too little. Need at least 50-75% of healing power. Not less.

I’ve played my Ele as my main for years. Being a squishy target that does huge DPS is the fun of the class. I agree with funeralfun.9135, This is not fun and flies in the face of what makes an Ele fun to play!

I do a lot of dps when I play Tempest. You are probably doing it wrong. The most damage you get from tempest is fire and wind. I prefer Scepter + Warhorn, but Dagger + Warhorn is ok. You don’t even have to use warhorn..

Tempest is a good specialization and it’s fun to play. It’s a lot more fun than core Elementalist. Maybe you are playing Elementalist wrong.. and maybe you are using berserk or assassin stats.

Not in BW3 when everything got nerfed. I think it got killed in BW2 though. Not many people will use berserk stats in that challenging content.

Are you serious? I use celestial gear and I kill mobs in a few seconds. Beta 1 and 2 were harder and challenging. This is a joke. Faceroll boring piece of kitten.

If the drop was not intended in BW3, why the hell did they lower the difficulty?
