how about you troll and have 0/0/0/0/0 traits and no sigils or runes? and if you manage to get top player with that set-up, you’re indeed skilled.
LOL. accounts are free-trial accounts all along!
Lol how the hell did i miss this thread.
I don’t know but don’t you recall that time when our amoeba deflection broke bread with your dragons tail?
Did they move like water, as wise man said?
it’s bruce lee-speak man. learn from the best.
Because GW2’s conquest doesn’t have a potential flaw of GvG, doesn’t mean that it isn’t riddled with flaws of its own.
Conquest could be expanded and adapt elements from WvW to be a more fun and robust game. and you don’t need to import the EXACT GW1 PvP elements to make that happen.
Because you won’t ever see this in GW1 PvP
And yes I know the play styles are very different between the implementation of GW1 PvP into GW2 and GW2’s current PvP – But I can promise you – If GW1 PvP was implemented – I don’t think there would be a huge crowd rushing back to GW2 original PvP once GvG/HoH/RA is implemented.
But it would be a bad idea.
1.) Anything to revitalize GW1 sales will be moot since they basically copypasta-ed what will potentially be the reason to buy or return to GW1. Bad business decision.
2.) If conquest fails as an e-sport and be superceded by GW1 copypasta, that means that their product failed. For GW2 was marketed with Conquest as its main bundle.
3.) Incoming playerbase will be frustrated for they will think that competing in a game with players that basically knows the mechanics for 5 years is not fair.
4.) E-sports are easy to follow and easy to get into. There are countries where they can set basketball courts in the roads and alleys and they set up their own league. Conquest is easy to setup, easy to follow, easy to get into. GW1 PvP require prolly a year(?) to be at least decent. and what sucks is that you will be competing with people who played for more than 5 years. It’s not noob friendly.
5.) If GvG/HA/RA is still good, there should be people winning HoH up to now. Where are they now? In GW2. or in other games. People want new things, fresh.
6.) Notice the people who wants the old things to come back – the few old players. Business is business. Notice the most active threads in these forums and what are they talking about. a.net for sure will prioritize them more for they are the paying patrons who pay gems because of this new skins. But who would play GvG if they monetize GvG for the kitten of it, like paying 5 gems to play 2 GvGs and kitten.
anyone can provide me a link of some good gw1 pvp ?
And within the first 3 minutes you can see what made GW1 so much better in terms of PvP. Lum is trying to kill WM W B, and they are doing this as a team effort, with everyone having a specific role, while WM is using their team to protect W B with blinds, interrupts, heals und protection spells.
What would happen in GW2 if 3 people focus one enemy? Just hope you have a teleport ready to get out of that, otherwise you will die. Once a player runs out of personal defense, they will get focused down in a second, because teamsupport is near nonexistant.
GW2 needs more strong teamsupport, which don’t also act as self support.
In this case, support isn’t just healing or protection.
Support can also come in form of offensive support, like hard and soft CC, damage amplifying buffs or removal of protective boons on the enemy.
Killing and surviving in GW1 was a team effort.
Moreover, LuM’s defense had melee hate, since they know that WM will run 4 wars, which remained to be their team setup after they run 8 gale warriors on their smurf. They had distortion on their monks. But guess who won?
NOTE: this is not even the best WM vs LuM fight. I think this was best of some number of fights. (3?) The best one was they were completely build countered and yet WM still managed to win.

Gvg had a freedom that no other pvp game ever had, there was basically only one rule: kill the lord.
Anything else was irrelevant and didn’t mathematically contribute to be victory.
You could take half of the enemy team out by repeatedly killing them, it didn’t make you closer to victory in the way the current point system does.
GvG was really unique in that regard, you had so many ways to approach a match and play it because there was no best way to win.
Conquest tunnels you into capping and holding tactics. It has great synergies with a point system, which the devs wanted because of esport blabla- but it’s nowhere as deep as GvG.
I don’t mind it too much though. What’s really bothering me is the absolute mess of team fights and the lack of deep interaction between team members.
These majors issues are inherent to gw2 design IMO since the game was built upon 2 paradigms – among other:
- you should be able to play solo
- the game has to be understandable by anyone who watches it (esport blabla again) and therefore much emphasis needs to be put on the visual effects.Only time will tell if such constraints are impossible to overcome or not to have a fun and competitive pvp game.
when victory depends on killing an npc, all effort and perfect skill synergies with your teammates goes down into a flushing toilet if your lord is killed.
we have had matches where we cannot even kill kitten. we waited while our enemy waited in the flagstand. one of our warriors snicked and waited in an area undetected for VoD. VoD came and they decided to rush our lord in our base and our solo warrior Killed the guild lord. Too late for them.
Another is that we can’t kill kitten again and many of us at almost 60 dp. VoD came and they expected us to go to flagstand since they assumed that we were GvG noobs who only know how to Tombs. But we all ganked the guild lord and won. They were [Te] and this was when GvG IWAY was long nerfed (we still try to run it)
Another is that we were slightly low in morale. VoD came and we rushed the lord. We
blocked the path and we won. This is vs [EW] (but they had 2 guests)
On the other note, we were on ZPZG’s base and we were winning. But we tried to fall back because of a tactical decision. One of our warriors was attacking the lord while most of us fell back. We were yelling at him to fall back. We were winning. But we fell back. Most of our team got trebbed and they used that to advance. That warrior guild mate was right all along. They won.
See, your individual skills won’t be showcased with this type of lucky wins. They won’t matter.
Conquest will showcase your skill usage since winning doesn’t depend on killing an npc. Since killing and capping will accrue your points. No such thing as lucky wins. Also since an spectator will see how you’ll use your skills, you will be judged by that.

because the game lacks teamplay, anything more than 3 players can be objectively considered a zerg. also, it is exactly the mechanics of teamplay & tactics that were what made gvg what it was. you can’t just take gw2 and expect to achieve the same thing by increasing team size. what kind of logic is that
gw1 team is 8 man for almost 8 years. so anything exceeding over that was never tested (though there was a party bug that was also patched that enabled to join gvgs on an 8+ party).
gw2 has different mechanics – character wise, game play wise. your reference of zerg is wvwvw, which i can understand. but if we confine 2 teams of 20-15 players on a big map with secondary and tertiary objectives and having a point system, you will see different tactics. you will encounter a 5 vs 5 skirmish on capping an area to gain points. or see 2 man team breaking the gates of the tower. or the other 5 team capping another area and skirmishing to gain some points or whatever. The other 8 roaming or whatever. or you can see a 20 man zerg sticking together and losing because they are inefficient on doing other objectives. then the teams will try to formulate efficient ways to gain points.
it’s like legacy of foefire, but larger and more massive and more fun. make it 1000 points.
it’s like mini-WvW but with less zerg.
And it’s Guild versus Guild. Because it’s 2 guilds fighting.
just replace world with guild. wvw = gvg.
EDIT: this reminds me of alliance battles. it was a good format but it was added later on way before GvG. if alliance battles came first and it was the game mode that is ladderized, this will be GW1 gvg.
(edited by alcopaul.2156)
anyone can provide me a link of some good gw1 pvp ?
that is ZvZ
imagine the map _is so big that the 20 man zerg will be split to 2 or 3. for there are secondary objectives as i said and it’s point system. and the size could be limited to 15. it’s not death match so different tactics will be developed.
And guilds can go up to 500 members. So ratio and proportion, you would want many people to participate on your guild wars.
it won’t be z versus z.
im presenting you a GvG mode using the current game. Not copy pastaing an old game to the game.
Definitely make an exclusive battle ground for 2 teams for like this to happen with secondary and tertiary objectives of Taking a Tower (aka killing the guild lord) and controling certain areas (aka taking flagstands). With 500-500 point system still. With equalized gear such as in sPvP.
It’s simple. Sure you still cannot test your reflexes like power blocking or dshotting infuse health but it’s ok.

Following discussions online, in both this community and other game communities, there seem to be two identifying features of popularity: ease of following the match (visuals) and rivalry between those that are playing (drama). I will touch upon the first part here.
Good post but im interested about the drama. Maybe i have to wait for the consistent top teams to emerge.
No. Remember the infusion upgrades that give you additional gold find? or additional karma gain?
I wish the Maguuma forum warriors will be as active when they do T2.
guys this is better than subscription fees. and pearl weapons look cool.
Keep Fused Weapons as Rare (the rarest as ever) as possible for it is the only pride of those who don’t/can’t afford to get a Legendary or even a 500g weapon. We could not make money out of it anyway (so they can’t be used to manipulate the market). We will just rely on the thought that it can’t be gotten anymore. Think of the rare minipets of GW1 where limited amount was just issued to event winners.
Please A.NET
Over time, legendaries will be ubiquitous and Fused will remain at a fixed number.
And Still can’t be used to manipulate the market..
As they say, “the best things in life has no monetary equivalent.”
A.NET, come on! lol.

Just wanted to clarify some things regarding the Strike Force video.
-It was originally recorded in late December of 2012.
-The Strike Force meta was composed of a heavy hammer frontline (guardians/warriors) with a backline force of mesmers and necromancers. The video is being compared to a more modern meta that Red Guard runs which is more balanced.
-During this time veil/culling bombs were popular.
-At the time buffing/stacking/combos fields was relatively new to NA T1.
Basically, you’re comparing tactics/metas from two different periods. Cheers all.
thanks man. i thought it was recent for it was only uploaded in March , ’13.
idk man. but you’re saying that you copypasta gw1 pvp on to gw2? basically gw1 on better graphics?
i smell an agenda. and im certain that those who still play gw1 will carry over their “skillz” to guild wars 2 to faceroll those who are just starting the game. That being guild wars 2, the circle will debase the 5v5 tPvP and hailing the 8v8 the pinnacle of the game. This will be akin to equating 5v5 tPvP to Tombs and only skilled players play 8v8.
Well, that’s giving advantage or favoring players. Sure the fast learners and the skilled players will follow suit but i don’t know, gw1 is an old formula. a legacy game which has been abandoned by many and was destroyed by so called skill balances.
what’s wrong with gw1 as is if you still want its mechanics wholely? I know. the spectators. they’re gone.
or prolly the graphics. i bet you want to play a big boned busty Norn thief ganking the Guild Lord.
(edited by alcopaul.2156)
It was nerfed because it required very little skill in relation to success compared to a balanced guild being successful with a much higher level of skill.
You should know by now that is the rule of balancing. If everyone mastered IWAY and that is all that was played and all that won – How much fun would that be?
I guess more fun because almost anyone can run it. but tactics will evolve from it for sure. and it will evolve to somewhat what WM has run vs LuM “4 warriors, 2 rangers, 2 monks” so back to balanced again. (sorry my definition of balanced if you have 2 monks protecting your kitten
That’s 1.
More theory crafting will ensue from the community to find counters.
Balanced won’t certainly die. Remember, Izzy won’t nerf a balanced build.
The only solution that i was thinking was to Buffing Guild Lord’s defenses, (which they added way later in game. ) and not nerf the whole build. and give it 1-2 months for people to theory craft.
The amount of QQ from guild-hall.net was pouring floods. Relying on and influencing the skill balancer to give you the advantage is always bad.
(edited by alcopaul.2156)
Back on topic – It seems your affiliation with an IWAY gimmick and lack of success with anything balance or truly skill based – It supports my original claim that you never fully excelled at a high level in the skillful play portion of the game -
We were a gimmick guild, farming rank and forcing a Tombs build into GvG play. We just wanted to see our guild name in status all the time and to see our guild in higher ranks of the GvG ladder. That’s all. We don’t care and gauge skill levels of our players by the inch as long as you’re delivering results. Sure we wanted to win. But we were pwned by Izzy. You cannot evolve your tactics if you are halted preemptively. Balanced play require different set of skill to master and the game balancer wanted balanced play to exist longer. But in our guild, we were trying to still discover how to beat the good teams with IWAY. We beat some. Lost some too because we were trying to face them in flagstand and we’re fielding Tombs team who are used in Underworld matches. Flagstand matches and splits usually get us coz in IWAY you need to be in full team. But [cute] perfected it, ignoring flagstand battles and using massive offense to wipe guild lord enemy defense splits and to go directly for the guild lord, for the aim is to kill the guild lord.
And our build got nerfed?
How do you evolve from something that is made inferior? You auto-lose. iway was glass cannon and if you made the offense as strong as balance’s offense, then the balanced will have an advantage – damage mitigation. IWAY has almost no damage mitigation. It was not an even match. IWAY had its time. It had potential. Izzy was impatient. He finally nerfed it because the older batches in your circle were crying and they were in also in Izzy’s close circle of feedback-ers.
But yeah, ill give you that some of us stopped basically when IWAY was nerfed. (But for sure many ex-members evolved and joined post ‘06 guilds). We were one trick ponies but we’re still discovering grand ways on how to play the build in GvG till [cute] optimized it. But I’m sure you would not say that if the build was not totally killed or people started developing counters by themselves and not relying to the balancer’s nerf bat. The situation will be different.

i relogged after couple of months break then i got a fused ticket from 3 black lion keys that i got from pve and at first i was wondering wtf was this ticket. i nearly deleted it but i decided to go to gw2 wiki. then i exchanged it to a GS and equipped it to my low level toon. Then i decided to delete that toon but good thing is that i transmuted the GS to an account bound white item. I didn’t care at first. i nearly deleted the rarest weapon skin in game with my character! now it’s sitting comfy with my Zerker Warrior. Woot.

Sorry if I’m sounding like a Vietnam veteran sharing our exploits to an Iraq war veteran but I’m just setting it straight that we didn’t faced r2000 guilds, that we were notorious and our name still ring a tune in guild wars 1 circles (of course you would here negative feed backs but that’s what we were used to get even when were starting so were used to that.)
Props to all who shamelessly carried the MATH tag [Your Math Teacher, Your Math Teachers, Your Math Teachers Reloaded, Your Math Professor] members where ever you are.
(edited by alcopaul.2156)
You are in the minority. If that copy cat guild can ever be a successful GW1 guild, I’ll give them props.
We were notorious at one point, farming rank like Chinese farmers till Izzy decide to say, “stahp it” when [cute] facerolled everyone to r3. (but it didn’t deter IWAY players.[cute] disbanded when it was nerfed but it was still played post nerf in GvG by our guild until we started to feel frustrated until we tried balanced but we failed lol. but it was still played in ‘08-’09 exclusively in HoH(MATH Reloaded) coz they wanted Phoenix or possibly a dragon idk)
and look
http://www.guildwars.com/community/guildweek/gotw-2006-10-17-yourmathteacher.php
(we were pushing this GoTW since December ‘05-January ’06 because that was the time when the guild was so hot. And I received a response 8-9 months after requesting info from us from A.NET that we will be featured. This was months and months after GvG
IWAY was nerfed. We wondered. Maybe we made an impact? Prolly. Mind you, they even hired a technical writer to feature us lol.)
they don’t give Guild of the Week anymore. So it’s technically rarer than a gold trim.
this is the old interview of the Chill is Cute from [cute] when he was still in MATH
http://gwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Columns.Detail&id=52 (you have to copy paste from text coz ampersand will resolve to “amp”)
he formed [cute] with 2 MATH members, few from VIKI and few from Prav. [idk if those guilds ring a tune to you since you started later]
(edited by alcopaul.2156)
Note – Team Paradigm took their name from a GvG guild that I ran back in GW1 in 2008. Still never understood their fanaticism with my guild.
I’ve played my share of GW1 gvgs and most of the time we won even at 60 dp because we kittening killed an NPC.
r2000 GvGs don’t count. Again you are showing that you are really unfamiliar with high level play in GW1.
But one thing that made GW1 GvG a poignant mark on my gaming memory. War Machine [WM] versus Lamer’s Ultimate Majority [LuM]. Everyother matches don’t even compare.
These were good matches. Sadly it occured a little bit before I started PvP.
But sorry, IWAY GvG pretty much at its peak before you started PvP.
[MATH] was placing at r30s at its peak. (http://www.gw-memorial.net/builds/teams/2005/51/ [notice). We were forcing a Tombs build to work in GvG settings. Sweetie Animal Girl [cute], which is also an exclusively IWAY GvG guild, perfected its tactics, composed of better players, few from MATH, skyrocketed and peaked at r3 basically facerolling everyone, even iQ but a few of the Koreans, .
Yeah, we’re competing against the early birds – fast learners and skilled players. MATH started GvGing about late November ‘05, coz we wanted not only for people to see the guildname in the the status (which at one point had the NA, Eu and Asia coverage) but also in guild ladder. For sure, we’re not facing r2000s.
INFO: The Taiwanese team that EviL faced when the GWWC was held in Taiwan ran IWAY, one of them was from MATH too.
I would give it to you that the game evolved since 2005. And you’ve been in the scene longer and had quality matches. But fact is fact. looks like I started PvPing longer than you do and had the chance to vs Korean teams. Yeah, we VSed the early waves of Koreans, which are getting our kitten handed into us, basically the top players when most of post 2005 players were starting to get the hang of it and the only Euro players that are good are Esoteric Warriors and the Valandor.

We all know that ranged damage is at advantage against melee.
This pretty much tells us all we need to know about your GvG “tactics”.
GvG, or indeed WvW in general, is all about properly timing and executing a melee engagement. Range bring, erm, static field? That’s about it. I don’t count utilities as “range”.
While that is an impressive wipe, I’m fairly sure if they tried to pull that against any respectable EU guild they’d get their faces rolled. I mean, the concept of stacking might seemed alien to them, and their opponents were using zerker food.
Strike Force is a respectable NA guild on Tier 1. They found out that the concept of stacking is pretty bad. As evidenced by the video.

Just look at that RG video you linked. Because you seem kinda new to this, I’ll just fill you in that RG are considered one of, if not the best open-field-WvW guild in the game. And their tactics are very much along the lines of using range to control and debuff the enemy until they judge the moment is right for a melee wrecking ball which engages, downs what it can, and then moves back out to rebuff/heal, and repeat.
I did see that. As I’ve said, they also controlled their terrain.
I pointed out what’s wrong on the Strike Force video. Their enemy sent their melee first, and they wiped.
But it does not take away my assessment that ranged are still in advantage for the incoming melee can be controlled.
How about making those traps a Ranger skill so ranger will have another use?
I haven’t admitted neither JQ or BG has EU presence. JQ’s is very weak yes, but BG has managed 500 PPT at EU slot multiple times last week. So we’ll see.
that’s ND and MW, plus some of the MERC (MERC has some international players playing) doing extra hours…i pray to the Spirit of the Wilds for their health everyday.
the new T1 will be like this
NA prime time
SoR: god-tier
BG: good
JQ: decent (good if PvE scrubs show up, and the guilds can stop kittening about each others)EU prime time
SoR: good
BG: decent ( good if BG SEA doing overtime)
JQ: bad (decent if JQ SEA doing overtime)Oceanic prime time
SoR: decent
BG: god-tier
JQ: GoodSEA prime time
JQ: god-tier (sorry fellow BG, i still do think JQ has the best SEA time)
BG: good
SoR: decent ( they are actually doing a solid job holding what they have during that time)
I thought SEA and Oceanic count as one region? did you just separate the hawaiians and pacific islanders from the asians?
You are overcomplicating your attack and underestimating your enemies both of which will get you wiped over and over again.
60% of what i said i can see in this video. maybe you are seeing them as something else I had the time to youtube your guild and found this. thanks.

Use invisibilities and portal. Study the enemies movement. if they don’t curve, curve, if they curve, stay still and curve. Dance with the dragon. it’s not imperative you unload immediately. This is not an ambush. They are also prepared to wipe your team so they know too the counter. Attack by not attacking then attack when there is an opportunity and go to defensive move again. This is like Muhammad Ali. Dance like a butterfly and occasionally sting like a bee. But when you sting, make it sure that you sting hard.
Dancing with the Air
1.) Use a fake approach, then deploy your invisible mesmer 1.
2.) make your team invisible via multiple veils (Don’t waste your veil, do veils when they are approximately 3 inches from you) and keep distance from the approaching enemy. Make sure that you maintain the shortest distance between the portal and your team. The enemy might placed frost traps to watch your movement.
3.) Mesmer most probably in their backlines atm while you are being invisible.
4.) Portal and obliterate the backline. Then get mesmer 2 to place portal again in their backlines for they will resolve their lines.
5.) Repeat 2.
Tailing the Dragon
1.) Use the whole terrain
2.) Use blocks and stuns to kitten their movement, do not yet unload
3.) This is the time when you stack. Stacking while tailing the dragon
4.) When the tail is open, become water and eat it.
5.) when they resolve, there will come to a point that they will be jelled in a stack. This is the time when you unload AoEs, watch out for this opportunity.
Formations
We have all heard the infamous V formation. Well, I will try to tell you about all possible formations and their potential
1.) The V formation – This is what i call the amoeba formation. For 2 branches of tanks will confine a group and will leave a buffer for AoEs and kitten.
2.) The inverted V formation – The arrowhead formation. This is quite risky for you leave your squishies in the back branched but is good if you are Tank->Stun->AoE-> Finish type.
3.) The dash formation – This has lots of potential for it will spread out our enemy and their AoE will just be wasted on a part of the horizontal line. This dash formation could metamorphose and go to a V formation or could stack whenever is needed.
4.) The Q formation – Get in a circle. and leave a line of mesmers casting multiple veils and portals to take the movement advantage. Walking is good. Flying is better. Teleportation is the best.
Ranged and Melee
We all know that ranged damage is at advantage against melee. But back in the days of my GW1 experience, The only way to infiltrate the backline of a balanced team or a healing ball ranged team is to make chaos in their lines by deploying 2 trapper tanks and then finish them off with a wave of ultraelectromagnificent IWAY warriors while the whole party is healed by a remotely located necros. In this game, this can be replicated by deploying first your d/d PBAoE tanky eles or anything good at tanking at first wave, and 2nd wave the somehwat tanky by overly dps warriors. NOTE: you don’t have to move all at once. Do it in waves, assisted by your thieves possibly for they can penetrate between the lines. Make your thieves position themselves AWAY from your group, watching the attack opportunity after the first wave of tanky eles assisted by your ranged casters which are assisted by your CCs so no one could touch them. And if you see that they are all spread out, deploy the 2nd wave and here is where your thieves come and do their thing.
So that’s all for now. More to come.
(edited by alcopaul.2156)
Sup again.
Ian Boyd the Second here again and I’m back to bring you something about a part and parcel of the WvWvW scene – the GvGs.
I’ve watched a few GvG videos (Specifically from Strike Force, EMP and WaR LegenD). I was scouring a GvG video of War Machine and i finally got one
And my GvG experience in my belt – I played one GvG for 5 rounds. That’s all.
But it won’t stop me from formulating the best tactics ever. Them videos and experience and with Ian Boyd’s mentoring is all I need to formulate new tactics, fresh.
First thing is first. GvG in WvWvW is last man standing, team wipe or team survive. No secondary objectives. Just in your face pwning. It’s like your favorite fast food. It’s fastly delivered and you have to eat it fast or it will eat you fast.
In one video that I watched, I saw a team facerolled by AoE because they stack. In the other video that I watched, the battle is so messy and there was no formations nor lines. In another video that I watched I heard a French commander intensely commanding his French troops to pwn the enemy. And in the final video that I watched, I saw War Machine losing round 1.
Well, what’s wrong?
Maybe War Machine losing? But round 1 only. Must be a warm up or give away game.
First, getting into a stack or ball and forcing your way to the backline. The problem with this is that there are skills in game called AoEs and PBAoEs wherein a ball/stack counts as 1 person, how ever many you are in it and the damage outweighs any healing or mitigation when it is concentrated. There are boon corruptors which will strip stability and will stun, dmg, CC and finish you in no time. So stacking is a bad idea, but not all the time.
Wise man said, “Be like water. For it will make room for any ramming ball and water still be water, undamaged. And that ramming ball will rust because it is surrounded by water.”
If you see an offensive ground charging you, be like water. Catch the ball, buffer their survivors and finish them.
One trick ponies will always lose. Expecting to yield a different result using one tactic everytime facing the same enemy is impossible. Balling/stacking wont work when your enemy knows a counter.
So spreading, buffering or being like water will work. But this will resort with having lines.
So when a team is observed having aoes, feedback, or whatever ranged skills, they mean that they have a glassy part. Use movement and the terrain to catch the tail of the dragon. infiltrate their backline. avoid their front. and now be like air.
Wise man said, "In water cycle, a heated water will transform to water vapor, will go up to the skies and when the time is up, will become rain water again.

The sPvP scene isn’t competitive. It isn’t entertaining. Someone mentioned that GW2 sPvP made them excited and GW1 GvG bored them after 5 minutes? Are you serious?
Yes im serious.
Watching GW1 PvP this days after 8 years, is like still using your Nokia 5110 as your cell phone this time of the year. The game mechanics is old. it is not dynamic. it’s point and click. And the CCs are archaic. They say it’s complicated but i don’t see the complication. Maybe it’s just rigid, well it’s rigid because everything is rigid. Yeah you dshotted or powerblocked infuse health. Sure your skilled. But you’re indeed skilled if you did this on a dialup connection.
I’m the one of the many (i hope) that appreciates the more dynamic and more tactical gameplay of GW2. And this is coming from someone who don’t play tPvP. I watched Team Paradigm and the shoutcasts and I appreciated their skill level and the skill level of their enemies even. it’s fast paced. unpredictable. And concise. No kittenty things such as tie breaker or killing an NPC to win. It’s easy to watch. Easy to follow. Just like every other sports but scrabble. Moreover, The game doesn’t depend on killing an NPC.
I’ve played my share of GW1 gvgs and most of the time we won even at 60 dp because we kittening killed an NPC.
But one thing that made GW1 GvG a poignant mark on my gaming memory. War Machine [WM] versus Lamer’s Ultimate Majority [LuM]. Everyother matches don’t even compare.

Another question:
If i transmuted my non infused Fractal Capacitor to Mad Memories, will i still be able to infuse it?
i don’t know the discontent but when i watch teams like team paradigm on a shoutcast, my heart melts from the inside and turns into beer that goes through my bloodstream and making me think on my chair, “kitten YEAH!”
and i log on gw1 and watch observer mode and i can’t even stand 5 minutes.
