I had to pause for a second before I responded so as to not come off as a kitten. Who’s going to pay for these people? It would take more than one if the site was the least bit popular. Secondly it would have to be a really good expert. So okay let’s hire some photoshop experts and increase the price of gems to pay for the extra cost. Is that something you are willing to see happen because someone wasn’t nice to their guild?

EDIT: But yeah, this could backfire coz there might be trolling that can go on. Better if actually A.NET do it for they know and control everything that goes on. But I doubt that will happen. I always believe in a diplomatic talk and if it fails, moving on and just be careful next time. But for sure the idea will help a lot, policing the community and giving a good “background check” for guild leaders.

Another thing to solve this is if you TAKE things from Guild Stash, you won’t be able to leave the guild for 1 week.

That wouldn’t necessarily stop what happened to the OP. So the guy loots the bank, turns off guild chat or representation, joins another guild since you can be in more than one at a time or whatever and goes about his business.

at least you can remember his gamer tag and deal with him using his tag accordingly.

I would like to think that if you let them into the guild to start with and allow access to the guild bank then you should have already made note of his gamer tag.

And as for the social media thing I have seen mentioned a few times related to this topic, that is opening a whole other can of worms and is somewhat hypocritical. I mean if you allow someone into your guild with an open bank and they take the items and you start cyber stalking/bullying them you may be setting yourself up for your own problems. Plus so many people in this thread keep talking about how important it is to be nice to each other and be a good member of society. Doesn’t that include two wrongs don’t make a right?

but allowing him not to leave as soon as he takes everything from the stash makes a room for diplomacy. You can still talk to him by noting his tag and his whereabouts. this also prevents from making a mistake pinpointing who took what say if another member decides to leave for whatever reason the guild the same time that the looting and leaving happened.

the shaming is just a deterrent. a warning. that if you misbehave, there will be consequences.

So what happens if you join a guild and take an item they offered then the guild starts giving you a hard time, within ToS, and you want to leave? You are stuck.

just return the item that you took? it’s that easy.

Guild Stash management is wholly the responsibility of the players, ANet has stated their stance on it in the past. If you gave someone access to the guild stash and they took everything, they’ve technically not broken any rules since you -did- give them access to it.

Also those guilds in all tiers who claim to be skilled (for those in lower tiers) and hate zerginess (for those in higher tiers) could move to us in Kaineng and hangout in Maguuma borderlands and watch out for PYRO, D|ERP, WaR or iLL guild zergs. Test your skill, post a video of yours.

I don’t know the hate with the word “zerg”. In a borderlands on a full night, three servers will always almost have the equal number of players. So even its zergy, it is still a fair and balanced fight. A commander handling a mega zerg will require more of his skill of macro management, as well as micro management. He could divide his megazerg into multiple micro zergs to defend or to take key points. Coordinate attacks or whatnot. Or whatever.

A skilled zerg will defeat an unskilled zerg. A skilled micro-zerg might defeat an unskilled zerg but certainly a skilled zerg will defeat a skilled micro-zerg.

One solution to this is to keep track of the gamer tags of those who withdrew from your guild bank even that person already left.

Current top 4 only played 13 games in his entire career.

I hope for him to be rank 1 and get the record of gaining the most rank with the fewest games played.

A.NET should “snoop” on the Top 20’s most used characters and get their classes, post their traits and builds on an official A.NET build database so noobs like me and you could use them.

When both of the players are using the most optimized build there is, it will boil down to who uses the build perfectly or flawlessly.

Just a thought though.

Rev, why expect something grand like GvG and HoH when they have no time changing a single character in the software..

You didn’t specify how far in the future. Thousands of gold WILL in fact last you through your “future” updates. Unless you just buy everything you see.

items could be as high as 500g a piece and currently, some legendaries are basically 3 foefires essence. imagine if the BiS future armor or weapons cost 1 currently valued foefires essence.

GvG builds were mostly balanced. GvG IWAY was untouched by Izzy’s balance back then so it was in its full potential (the fact that Sweetie Animal Girl [cute], a GvG IWAY guild skyrocketed to top 3 so fast). All offense. So it was expected that Ian’s guild was geared to vs balanced but they steamrolled us. So Ian Boyd’s strats worked.

you can get the berserk back piece @ fractals waiting area. or even better get the cavalier’s back piece in balth temple in straits of devastation. it is power/toughness/+crit dmg, which is like the fusion of berserk and knights without precision.

Sorry I forgot to put the engis. They should be included inside eles, mesmers, and thieves for additional inner core defense.

I was mentored by Ian Boyd, Guild Wars 1’s master strategist and now I’m applying his teachings to the epic battles of WvWvW. We all know that WvWvW is the pinnacle of Guild Wars 2 PvP for the preparations and the execution of battles here are in its optimum. It’s not controlled environment. It’s not 5vs5. It’s not e-sports. It’s e-war.

So war tactics here are applicable.

Here you will be introduced to a couple of Zerg versus Zerg battle tactics that are beyond “Stacking on a Commander” and doing mobile damage base on where the commander is. Be warned that these tactics may not yet battle tested but I’m pretty sure, being trained by Ian Boyd, these will ensure you victory.

I- Group Tactics

Tactic #1: Tank+AoE+Finish

This is the Basic Attack that I noticed for WvWvW

Tanks serve as placeholder for the AoE to unload and the Finishers to finish. Simple and done. This is the classic offense and this works well versus a common zerg.

But when the zerg is composed of battle tested groups, we need new tactics

Tactic#2: Tailing the Dragon

Successfully doing this means that your group has a mobile defense and can mitigate damage by moving. Going ouroboros is just a bonus, if you can kill the zerg by munching its tail first, then the head will lose power.

Tactic #3: Breaking the Bread

Cutting the middle will ensure that they will ball up, then you can immobilize the zerg then unload with AoE+finishers

Tactic #4: Chaos then Finish (aka IWAY Stylè)

I learned this from GW1. Just cause chaos and finish them with your dps.

Tactic #5: Basic Battle Formation

This is in theory the most defensive battle position so far.

TIP: Get the same classes on a single party to know their position in the battlefield.

EDIT: Bunker Engis should be within the core with Mesmers/Eles and Thieves

Tactic #6: AmoebaDeflection

Allow buffer for the enemy zerg to come then engulf.

So that’s all for the group tactics. By zerg, it can also mean your group of 10 or 15.

II- Map Tactics

Tactic #1: 3-2-1 Spike supply camps on Enemy Borderlands

Group of 3 position themselves undetected in 6 supply camps. Then on TS/Vent 3-2-1 spike the taking of all supply camps at once. This will ensure maximum havoc and by then you can individually and tactically take towers.
