Heading back to your home instance feels like a chore currently. An inventory item or some other method to travel directly home would be a nice quality of life improvement.

I’d support newbie WvWers, read as no more than x ranks attained or y objectives taken accountwide, having such a low cost traitline to ease their transition into the game mode. Have the WvW Instructor introduce them to the concept of WXP by guiding them through placing their first points and explaining how to get more. New players are so easily turned off by a few bad experiences.

That said, this traitline absolutely has to disappear by the time a player gets their feet. An experienced player does not need this kind of advantage.

Details of the benefits provided and the grace period during which a player can retain them are, of course, up for debate.

Dear ASH and friends group in DR BL, it’s hilarious how efficiently you crush our militia, but could you please play a little more nicely? I think these guys are fresh off the bus for the most part.

I’m simply saying that SM is notorious for not awarding capture credit. If it awards no credit then it will not contribute to your achievement. Or are you saying you are getting credit for the castle cap but not ticking up for the season one tally?

Welcome to the fold. Despite the QQ fest I’m sure you’ll become a server asset with time and dedication. Don’t get discouraged.

SM credit has always been dodgy. You can get get credit for destroying gates and walls, credit for countless player and guard kills, credit for slaying the lord…. all of that and still fail to get capture credit when standing in the circle. The problem is also prevalent with keeps and exists with decreasing frequency as you go down through towers, camps etc.

Not new, and it has to be a known issue.

A zerker bow ranger nestled safe and warm within a medium sized group will be able to nuke people with impunity. Granted I only seem to run into them when my group is badly outnumbered, but they tend to sow death before you realize their threat.

Holding a camp against increasing waves of enemies is a favorite pastime. If you feel you acquitted yourself well, feel free to post a mention. There is no need, however, to characterize a server by a pug zerg that wanted their camp back.

Consider an ascended drop outside your normal playstyle as encouragement to branch out a bit.

Thing is there are stat combo’s that just dont work. Im not with the zerk or get out crowd. Personally i use a few different combo’s. But that being said i’ve spent close to 1100 hours of game play refining my play style. By this point i know what works with my build and what does not. As many have pointed out ill take an exotic with proper stats over an ascended that has useless stats any day. The exotic will out perform the ascended. Honestly a rare likely would.

Fair enough, ultimately it’s your copy of the game to play how you please. I suppose I just get irked at the endless tirade of complaints. An ascended weapon drop would be seen as a tremendous windfall by most players while OP found it a disappointment. He’s free to suggest other mechanics for weapon/stat selection but I feel that the option to select weapon type is already quite generous.

If you have zero interest in WvW than I guess berserker is the crowd favorite. A sad state of affairs but that’s a whole ‘nother can of worms. I’ll take my bias and go somewhere that it applies.

Narrow hold of SE tower on Devona’s border just now against BS and Main. A tense fight that was a few landed skills away from being a completely different result.

If the dulfy page was a faithful representation of the livestream, there will be a rare chance of getting these chests from any lord/claimer as well as from rank chests. I hear you though, getting even a rare in WvW is something to write home about.

No it’s not. The stat ‘budget’ already exceeds the stat totals of other sets.

I don’t understand how these complaints keep coming. Making a time gated exotic set with relatively hard to get materials just for the magic find is absurd. And for what reason? Because it made you less of a burden in a party? Barely.

Anyway removal of MF from these sets change nothing to the combat usefulness of the set. It keeps a balanced stat total.

Basically this. Celestial exists to cater to those that are either unwilling to specialize or to those that craft builds that can take advantage of all stats. The magic find was a secondary gain.

Purely from badges, no. We will be getting Ascended back items into WvW and accessories are already there. We’ve been focused on the Ascended items more generally and not specifically in WvW right now. However, we will make sure WvW is at parity with the rest of the game in terms of Ascended gear.

I’m glad to hear that an avenue to attain Ascended back items through WvW play will be added, but it’s worth noting that such an avenue does not exist for accessories yet either. Amulets and rings have a substantial portion of their respective laurel costs replaced with badges. This implementation is surely appreciated but it is worth noting that accessories were excluded; their cost when purchased from a WvW merchant is identical to the cost from a PvE merchant. No portion of the cost for an Ascended accessory is replaced with WvW currencies.

I greatly appreciate the increased attention that WvW has been receiving but I feel compelled to nitpick this point.

On a more serious note I’m curious how much firsthand experience informs balances changes in WvW. The encounters you have as a roamer will probably skew your impressions of balance in different ways than they would for a character nestled in the heart of a zerg.

Devona’s Rest takes an early lead. Doubling the score of our nearest competitor I think it’s safe to say the other servers should sit this one out.

Does anyone happen to know if any ANet have dabbled in roaming? I’d say something to the effect of “The day I see an ANet tag roaming, I’ll eat my hat,” but Devon will call me on it and arrange for it to happen.

Well it isn’t an exploit. You aren’t glitching into walls or doors. All those players were doing was using a leap to go over the gate itself. If you want to get a whole group in Ele’s can drop their lighting hammers so anyone can do it.

Walls and gates exist to bar entry to enemy players until they are breached. I’m not sure how you consider circumventing those defences as anything other than an exploit. They’ve been repairing these oversights one by one. I can’t imagine they intended Jerrifer’s to be an exception to the rules elsewhere.

The mesmer portal at least requires a breach to have been made in the first place and can be employed against any structure. You can argue about whether or not it was intended but I think most will agree it has become an interesting facet of play.

Would love to have you guys on Borlis Pass with us again. We are currently matched up with Maguma and Dragonbrand and it’s Zerg city.

We don’t usually fight those guys though as they are much higher ranked than us and we are normally able to keep most of our upgraded towers and keeps overnight with the guys we got.

BP don’t have any ambitions to get to T1 and are quite happy being around the rank 9-10-11 mark, where there are no crazy map queues and few 60 man blobs.

Oh, probably. I know some games will let you configure row after row of hotbars and I’m assuming they are trying to avoid that in GW2.

Had a strange episode before the patch hit. Traveled to FCBL to find myself in a spawn listed as Devona’s while my party spawned at Kaineng… yes, Kaineng. I wander over to them to try and sort it out and see that they are red and hostile. No idea how it happened and I doubt it can be reproduced, but it was a fun chance to duel.
