If I compare it to GW1 and other games not east comparable to gw2(like diablo3) I feel weak. My warrior in gw1 does not die and does not need to run and or dodge. My warrior in d3 has so much sustain that I can stand and take anything.
It’s the only thing that bothers me in gw2, you feel kinda weak compared to other games.
But there is not much to do with that, too much sustain like lifesteal or life on hit would make it a monster.

Atleast the other LS have some kind of connection to the whole GW2. Remotly but it’s there.
This on the other hand is a gimmick and you will like it or can’t stand it like myself. It was fine as a joke but to make this into a LS part is wrong in my eyes.

Ascended weapons DO drop. You get a box that lets you CHOOSE a weapon out of a stat set. If that isn’t generous, please tell me what is. They could have just as easily made ascended weapons only attainable by crafting.

I had 4/4 and almost 5/4. Got reset to 2/4 and i could not give a kitten. Before the end of the week I will have 5/4 again by just playing the game.
I cannot be kitten ed off about something like this. :/

27 days left, come on give them a break. It’s not the end of the world here. They are easy to get anyway.

Pets in gw1 were useless, unless you had many of them and a necro in the party. They are just as useless in pve and wvw.
I would like to see a dev play with a ranger in lets say wvw on a busy server.
It just needs a lot of damage reduction to stay alive, it’s a hard thing to do without making the pet too strong. :/

I hope the kitten farming is over with todays patch so people can get back into wvw a little. And just fow players ofcourse, drakkar can keep on farming =)

In other games the text colour is different, makes it more clear than this.

I can still find my old post on guild guru 2 about this being one of the few armors I was really looking forward to. It would fit my human necro pefectly.

I’m willing to bet someday when people get really good at him, less than 80 people will be able to pull it off, that tends to be how anything works in an MMO. It’s balanced for 80 average players though though and scales up into the hundreds because we want to make epic, large scale encounters available to players out in the open world. Teh descriptions of the fight mention a ton of aoe going on. Does this mean my ranger pet is going to be dead 3 seconds into this fight and leave me doing a fraction of my dps?

After being stomped on by another server, or stomping the lower tier servers ourselves it makes me wonder why there are siege weapons for attackers in Borderlands.
If people attack your borderlands it is usually because they outnumber the rest of the server by far. So the zerg comes in, takes garrison and places 10 or more arrow carts on it. I wonder if that is fair. The outnumbered server has no advantage in their own borderlands. I think it must have some kind of better defense in your own borderlands.
I am not sure about siege golems, they are not as bad as the OP arrow carts right now.
Do you think that your own borderlands should be a bit more protected?

Well there needs to be some kind of update for WvW. Yesterday I did one hour of pve, got me almost 50 champ related boxes and many more.
Few hours on our wvw server against a much stronger server and it cost me around 30 silver instead of earning anything.

It’s not hard, it’s impossible. These server line up makes people quit playing wvw.

No, it only makes the pve players quit. No real loss there.

I didnt see you there yesterday when they had multiple zergs and walking over everything. Thats fun in your book? That was the main reason I stopped playing when vabbi and wsr had to deal with FoW doing just that. It’s no fun being uitnumbered by 10-1.

Yeah, wouldn’t hold my breath on a response from Anet if I were you. Not a single Anet employee has commented on any of the PvP-only skins issue in over a year of it being discussed on the forum.

I suppose there’s a minuscule chance they could use them for ascended armor skins when they come out, but I highly doubt it.

I would not mind that, just make it available in wvw or pve.

I think all have it, atleast all in Desolation LA.

It’s not hard, it’s impossible. These server line up makes people quit playing wvw.

Lol my home server(FoW) is getting utterly destroyed against our new line up. There must be quite some players on I think drakkar. Whole EB is theirs, and all borderlands too.
Time to quit.

It makes people login every day so the managers can tell their managers, oh look at these nice figures of users that have logged on last week. Nothing more.

Also I cannot remember the community wanting to change tequatl so we can fight it only on the busiest servers, or wanted the change to the dragons.
All I remember is that dragons make terrible foes and I even want to say as I need less of them, not more.

@OP Bad idea. ANET is already saying we can get the mats in WvW. So either get ascended or don’t.

There is nothing wrong with getting the mats in wvw, just do not allow the ascended gear to be used in wvw. It’s not that hard.

We all know that crafting these items is a way to have people spent more time in the game. Make some of the best items only available through rare material and voila you have a timesink in your game.
And they can also drop? Well I’d like to believe that but how many people do you know that got such a rare drop as a precursor? I have almost 1000 hours I think on my toons and I have not seen 1 exotic drop. All my items come from the trade post :/

Loot runs or boss runs, that is were I expect to get my gear. crafting is nice, but the best items in the game should never be crafted imo.

So is the pax update today?

If you’re going to try to cater to different player demographs, it’s a case of trying to find a balance in putting out content for them demographs. Unfortunately, there’s never enough hours in the day to put out content for all groups.

Without going into too much, PvE could use some fundamental improvements to mechanics and behind the scenes (AI, for example), WvW could use some new maps, SPvP could use some game-modes.

In other words, Anet could use some new dev’s =) Back to the original topic, who would want to burn themselves on this game :/

Well this is great, you know I bought the game knowing and promised there would be expansion. Not living story and opening the rest of the continent by small parts. There is not a single positive thing I can think of doing it that way.

Management failure, who would have thought. Well this is not just Anet, managers are failing all over the world in every business. Useless bunch of people.

When it started to work I did a couple of events right after another. It was fun, i still do one a day or something but only if I like the map it is on.

I dont know I was not playing gw2 at the time.

I hope not, it’s bad enough that my chests are still not going to give me anything good, from voting tickets, to queens entry tickets and now to mario coins. Great.
