How can this bug not show up in the testing is beyond me, but I’m glad they are fixing it.
I got the same experience as Namu, the normal one even with the two of us took longer to kill than the veteran. And they were not event ones, they seem to be normal ones roaming around pearl way outside the resort.
Never, gw is an anti mount game.
Heavy armor is not very well done, I am still running around in my heritage armor because that one is for me the best of the worst.
There is also one in the thriftshop but I am not sure if I want to use that.
Go outside, do something else, play another game if this is not to your liking. Do we really need to state the obvious here?
Option 10 ok, but never ever touch the healing skill. Exactly for the reasons given by Runiir.
Group up then, it is suppose to be a group area. Yesterday I was just doing the JP and did not team up so getting there was slower. From then on I was with a group of another guild and we swept the place clean.
Dont buy them, they also drop. Problem fixed.
Going to download and play well. I said the same thing about neverwinter, and I haven’t been on that since day 1…
I really tried to like neverwinter. The cutscenes alone stand way above the GW2 scenes. But I just could not get used to standing still to attack anymore. Gw2 ruined this for me
I have not done any fractals because no-one would take people like me. Only experienced fractals players can come :/
So I dont know if agony is anything like spectral agony in gw1, it sounds like it you also had to infuse your chars to avoid the damage of this. And this was in not in dungeons but in open(being instanced though) parts of the game.
I would not mind such a change, an area can be avoided if you cant get infused items .
Just a query for GW1 players: did they have an RMT system in place with GW1, where players can convert cash->gold and then back?
If they have, then complaints here hold stronger, since GW1 seems a better prototype in the cash shop that they have compared to GW2, in the point where players can convert in-game cash then buy item directly for a skin.
OTOH, if they haven’t, then IMO it was designed so that the ingame RMT doesn’t instantly spike and become unavailable to the players who are unable to spend cash on virtual transactions.
Just my 0.02c.
No GW1 was just costumes, stuff like that. All “cool” weapons were drops though, very very limited drops.
Life is hard for some.
QA could use some more people the last couple of months. Not to moan but I have seen so many things in the game that a good QA could have seen so kitten quick if they even played the game instead of checking if things work.
I’m not very good in Jumping puzzles but I’ll try it anyway. Gives me a reason to see if I can get any better in them.
Anet has had much experience with hardcore players. Not that gw1 was made for those players but hard content got nerfed and nerfed because people were asking for it. hardcore crowd will always be smaller than the casual or “normal” players.
Same for the harder to get items, casual is more money. And I dont think its a bad thing, HC players are among the most annoying people online.
Camo dye, both sand, forrest and snow would be something nice to have in PVE.
They have special powers.
The npc just should say in an anoying voice that it’s already in your inventory. And then insult you.
I think I deleted my pictures also, My beta toon was a necro and I tried a minion build, but the minions looked pathetic. (still do) so no need to keep them I guess.
Droprate very low? I’d say that perhaps you were unlucky or I was just lucky.
I hope we can “fix” it up during the gw2 period to transfer more GW1 items/weapons to gw2. I would love to see revamped/restyled versions of gw1 stuff. A good looking BDS, storm daggers, silverwing bow, gw1 minis. stuff like that.
Try other games, there are so many now. It cant be that gw2 is the only game you like playing?
If conditions are that much of a problem for you, just use soldier runes and shouts. They’re utilities most people use anyway and it’ll give you condition removal for days. That plus mending will keep conditions off you quite easily.
Keep conditions off? After removing the conditions they are back on the second you remove them.
I would go for the less damage 100b if that means I can move during it.
They seem to do the exact opposite of what the players want.
I’ve been reaching the opposite conclusion from you. IMO they are doing what players I know want.
Whack in temporary content and break Orr. Not sure many players would have had that top of their wanted list in all honesty..
Each pillar of the game has major, major fundamental issues at the moment. ANET is doing little to nothing to address these and is instead papering over the cracks with temporary content and shinies. Which in fairness seems to be distracting a few players.
I don’t think Orr was “broken” unintetionally. I think Orr was broken as it was, because people just stayed there all the time and did nothing else. That wasn’t good for the game anyway. It certainly ruined Orr for me when I first got there. I don’t want to be in a mob of a zillion people trying to tag as many things as I can to get event credit. It’s not my scene. And it’s very likely not the scene Anet envisioned.
Anet is making changes to get less people to do these events. If that’s working, Anet has been successful in that attempt.
Orr shouldn’t be the only part of this game people do. By taking away its profitability, Anet is making a positive change in the game over all…even if some people are unhappy with it, and even if some people leave over it.
I do not agree. I don’t understand the Orr dwellers either, but it’s something they enjoy or want to do. Why take that away from them when they probably just leave the game because they feel mistreated?
And how fun is a one shotting chicken when you have no way to see who it’s target is, so dodging or acting upon it is impossible. Not to mention the champ wrath that just kills the whole shelter group :/
2 very fun dungeons in gw1 had a player base of 12, was great fun. But in the end of gw1 a harder time to find people to do it with you.
But those dungeons were great fun.
This was done in Diablo 3, and was very unpleasant. You had to have atleast ** amount of magic find or gtfo.
There are too many GWAMM around so i wont display that one I think.
I would love to see some nostalgic jumping puzzles. Hinting towards gw1’s most popular dungeons, maybe even the weapon skins that went with those famous dungeons.
Shards of orr, slavers exile, bogroot growths, stuff like that.
It kinda makes no sense that LA has 3 puzzles and the major cities have none.
Oh and an dragonless Cantha could also work very well here. And I do not mean kuuna, but the elder dragons. They do not make the best foes these dragons.
For elona the boss could be Palawa joko ofcourse, no other would come close imo.
Well there needs to be something other than culture armour or cooking for your karma. What else to do with it? The idea of karma in the game is great, I’m sure they are going to do more with it.
Both look like kitten compared to the concept art. The could be so kitten good, but instead they hire some people who cannot seem to get it right.
It seems more like they are watching how the sales are doing and could even cancel the expansion if this does not improve. It’s not the cashcow they wanted it to be.
I do not even notice it now. So a bit darker would be very much ok.
I actually would be less interested in GW2 if Cantha was added. It would be worse if living world content was focused there for an amount of time.
That makes no sense…. Why would you be less interested in a bigger game with a fresh expansion.
Tried it in Lions arch and same here, it happens almost all the time for me.
Still broken, chest open when I got there and the plate does nothing. This was on Desolation EU server.
How hard can it be to fix this… really.
well with living content, they can add small pieces each time, but if anything goes that way, will be Tyria->elona and maybe factions then, but i guess theres no expansions on the next 2-3 years.
Game needs 1st to envolve on pve / spvp / wvw , needs to be more “living” and proly a bit of sanbox (wich would be great for those RP’s).
Elona does make more sense for the first expansion, the dragon went to the crystal desert and right beside it is palawa joko which makes a way better end foe than any dragon imo.
A few more shots taken today at Penitent Camp event. Please fix this as this is beyond ridiculous. As you can see we were with only ~15 people there…
Thanks!!
It’s insane, same happens on all server I tried guesting. Orr is even less crowded because of this april 30th patch.
We need the Asian culture. It is something that will fascinate many and the story in Cantha is awesome
Well to be fair, I don’t want it for the supposed asian setting. I just want to see the forrest and the jade sea(and the dungeons that come with it). The starter island and the city can be changed for all I care.
We looked into this specific spot and it looks like some of our bosses aren’t scaling properly. We’ve got our QA team investigating to figure out what’s going on here, it’s limited to relatively few spots.
Well to be honest, your QA team sucks, get some fresh people who play the game perhaps.
Anet you’re doing a great job at getting people to dislike this game. Does anyone at your office even play the kitten thing?
How much fun is it to see the whole shelter camp get whiped and cant do a kitten thing about it.
The GS looks fun, I hope it’s not everlasting legendary crafting.
Pretty good idea, they would need to fix the orr events for this I think. I dont know if it’s just my server but I have never seen so many deaths in shelters camp and penitent. Something is hitting a lot more than they are suppose to or I missed some part of the update were it states that some skills now kill everyone in sight, without visuals to dodge.
Normally I do not like to listen to music when gaming. I usualy have skype on with a friend. But this weekend I played solo and had ministry – in case you didnt feel like showing up and ministry – Sphinctour pretty much on repeat..
Karka and reef drakes are just too annoying to bother with, and unless you’re wearing a full MF set, they’re not worth your time either. Even with a full MF set, they’re not worth your time because 80% of the time they don’t drop anything or drop grey trophy clam meat.
Why bother initiating with something that has that poor of a risk/reward ratio?
Karka Island 2013: Nuke it from orbit.
So less karkas and more other enemies are fine? There should not be any risen either, too many of them elsewhere.
I do not need a good reason to be against mounts, they are just stupid imo.
Plinx still bugged. Come on this is getting ridicolous all these stalled events all over the maps. Fix your game..
