According to every subforum their particular profession is the worst off in the game :/
The cash shop doing 180 million a year? Get real.
Also in the original gw1 they started almost right away with the expansion, factions was there in a years time or so after the game’s release. -It makes no sense to hve a full gaming company capable of doing complete new games to fiddle around with the living story part alone imo.
Dropped items should never be account or soulbound. Makes no sense at all to have this in a game. Items from the gemshop is the only good reason I can think of for account bound items.
Ah romanians, lots of them are starting to show up in my country.
Look at my sig for reasons why
MF can work, but arent you basicly gimping your team by running a weaker gear?
Well this topic sure got more interesting after reading the “latest” news about their idea of expansions.
Ok so no raising the cap, how about alternative effects/damage whenthe max is reached. Bleed turns into gush, stuff like that. Why are there so many conditions skills if they do not even work well together, this is still an MMO right.
99% of the time I do not even use my elite on some of my chars, that’s how bad they feel. The only one on constant use is the one most if not all warriors use.
Who came up with the idea of all these transforms anyway, sooo bad,.
No expansion will make it a dead game within half a year or less. No amount of living story can give you the effect what a new expansion does.
Can I have your crystal ball please?
Why, because as far as I can tell, instead of getting content all in one big blob (expansion), it’s evolving and coming to us in stages. Is that so difficult to envision? o.o
It’s being repaired right now

Basicly you want stuff that’s normally in complete expansions. For neverwinter they are just releasing things that did not make it in the full game, and make it look like free stuff. Nice for marketing but it does not say anything about the state of the game.
Anet said in another post that the quartz can be picked with any type of pick.
Many of us think it would be in the dominion of winds, between LA and caledon. It would make sense but the naming also could be a coincidence.
I dont mind if people use the portal, but I also found it weird when I found out some JP can be done with this portal skill.
And for more loading screens because they are awesome a nice person at guild guru extracted them from the dat file and made a downloadable file:
http://www.guildwars2guru.com/topic/84052-loading-screens-compilation/
:)
You are complaining that there are too many items you get for free in this game? Well no, I dont mind that at all.
No item hunt, even GW1 had more of this than gw2. And in gw1 it was limited compared to other games.
Many great maps full of nothing, and it almost make me wonder why this is the case. Because I love going through the game and see it all. Just not enough to do I guess.
Culling, in busy fights I cannot even see the champion/boss so I have no idea what to do and just spam skills. And normally this work just fine :/
question…will the mystic forge take 4 of the exact same rare? or do they all have to be different?
Not sure, but i read that you can throw in any item as long as it is above a certain average lvl. So I am not sure if you get a higher chance of dusk if you throw in 4 GS, or 4 bows for the precursor shortbow.
I have seen people throw in 4 different types and get nothing so I am doubting.
EDITED with Proof for the Doubters of my luck
Doubters do not deserve your time. Oh and if I were you i would get some lottery tickets now =)
I have not played all classes yet
well they have to get rid of the camera-issues before adding very tense forests. Try doing the skill-point in the borderlands near the windmill where a lot of spiders attack you. It’s quite difficult to see anything relevant during battle when you’re playing a profession who needs to look down due to aoe-placing.
Lol, that’s your definition of a forest??? Its an orchard! Barely big enough to be called trees, its freakin bushes.
Compare with Hellion forest. I have no problem with my max size Norn.
I love that area, well the map without the branded part
I mean… In most of other MMO’s it’s all about achievement. Developers gives you new ways to acquire more powerful items and then you can use those items to overcome certain challenges and receive even more powerful gear or other rewards like unique skins or mounts.
On other hand in guild wars 2… You just farm gold or look for better ways to farm gold (it’s the easiest way to earn all of the game rewards). Or participate in the new events with no particular objective. Just for doubtful fun? I mean… Are all those mini games worth playing? I have a lot more fun playing on my smartphone 1$ games.
There is not even a slight feeling of achievement here.
I think by removing the item hunt, and they probably did it with good reasons, is the main part of people leaving?
Even in relatively boring game diablo 3 there are still people playing lots because of the item hunt. And maybe that leads to elitetis behaviour but I do not care about that. There should always be better items, even by a margin that makes people go after them. Visuals on the legendaries are nice, better random stats makes them worth more.
Grats, what items did you throw in the toilet if you dont mind asking.
I will agree that the bosses can take a long time to kill…. when you are the only one alive in your party.
hahah kitten , that ranger owned every complainer here. Very nice to see that a ranger did this.
Her voice was so much better in gw2 than the annoying one she did in Diablo 3.
High damage and/or high toughness, I think I read that in some guide about gw2.
They are not my taste, but since I see people running around in them they do please some players. Fine by me.
These complainers must not have done the hard mode dungeons in GW1. In the beginning groups there were utterly destroyed in seconds if you did not pay a little attention.
Making the tickets tradable if a much better solution instead of guaranteed drops. It makes farming worth the time and money and people who do not like it can just throw gold to buy the tickets.
I don’t like the way that some drops are soul or even account bound. Hate that stuff.
PRetty good idea, I have only good experience from the Diablo 3 forums. No trolling anymore and if you do not want to show your gear for any reason put in in your chest/inventory before you logout.
As far as I know Anet have never said they would add new legendary skins.
And for something more recent,
We still plan to do both new legendary weapons, as well as a clear path (on top of the current random chance) to gain precursors which players can see their progress and understand how much work they have left to do to gain it.
Wow! Thank you so much for linking these… I have a renewed hope now, we need a dark legendary staff for necromancers!!
The only staff I will need for my Necro:

’Have you ever played a game where you felt you or your faction dominated so hard that it wasn’t fun any more, or where you gave up because you felt the hardcore players meant there was no point?"
Well Diablo 3 was terrible with dubed gold, real money traders, botters and right now stupidly rich people. up front I was in favour of the in game tradepost of that game. Right now I am completly against it.
If they think it’s fun, and I doubt that, I see no problem with it.
Anet can nerf the loot but I seriously hate loot nerfs, so let them do their game and I will play like I like it.
Best looking, man that is hard. I like almost all of it. From Metrica to plains.
So I would say all of it except Orr, and that’s also the worst looking part of it. I hate the looks of orr and the boring monotonous foes there. The only thing I loved about Orr was farming the events before the nerf stick touched it
No. It’s devalue them.
They should be craftable, and extremely expensive.
Craftable, not expansive.
They should consume time not gold cause everyone will just go for easy grind. It’s better to make it similar to laurels system. More like log in daily to get something/do something not grind your way through CoF P1 or flipping to be the one who have it all without really playing the game (cause farming is not playing it’s offensive to normal playing the game).
It should be challenging as well. At least a bit. Like you need to do some hard dungeon like Molten Factory and get some 3 parts from there and get some laurels and in living story time you can get some part always in daily to make an item. In the end you can add few crafting materials in normal quantity – like 10 or 25 of them instead 250 all the way…You have no idea what it took to craft obby in GW1 right? Legendary are a cheap joke in comparison.
I doubt that, I got several obby’s, But I dont feel like doing all that stuff for a legendary :/
No.. rng is part of MMO or even (A)RPG genre. Guaranteed drops would suck big time.
? Looks like there are some replies from other topics in here :/
I like the art for the new release.
Ok, but make it ffa instead of teams.
this or even 4 out of 5.
Weapong switching for two handen to two single items could use some love.
Like Rune said in gw1 was a bit better then it is now in gw2.
Rapier looks like a perfect fitting weapon for Mesmers.
I was expecting foes to spawn from the effigies, I dont know how this buring them is tied to the story.
I was surprised that is was/is not possible yet when I started playing. Good idea.
Based on responses I’m not sure some of you read my post past the first paragraph….I’m agreeing with you, thus the:
“The one thing that’s really missing is the rewards to help make playing in these locations more even exciting and rewarding than they are now.”
And no, we’re not putting in a new currency, we have plenty of those
Most are a bit cynical here
But one solution would be to revert the changes that made orr so empty. And from there you can do the more exciting and rewarding stuff
Is that the garden of ilya in Malchors leap maybe?
Only reason why I’m still here is because my friends whom I met through farming. We have our own little farming group.
Otherwise I would be out of here
What other game would or do you play then? If there are any oc.
Daily’s and my ALT chars. I have only 3 chars to lvl 80 and am busy with mesmer and guardian.
I support Cantha and Elona
Oh yeah, people talk about cantha, but in the end it was elona that had one of the most played high end pve areas.
