Go hammer if you do wvw, I have not seen any other type last weekend.

So how long is this search still out? It must be one hell of a bug.

I’m having 100 times more fun in wvwvw than in any part of the pve. Even though it’s zerg fest most of the time. But this weeks matchup for my server so far has been great.
For me wvw is the endgame, i’m not even going to finish the sp part after doing that just once.

So far I have not seen any small groups from blacktide. Too bad.

So nintendo minigame is endgame for you? Sorry but I did not buy an MMO for minigames.

Well weapon swap should be different than weapon sets I agree. I am not saying I know the answers =)
But it feels kinda stupid for my d/d ele to defend a keep in wvwvw and not being able to switch unless I walk almost the opposite of the battle. If that even works.
And to be honest i do not care if it makes people stronger fighters, it makes everyone more powerfull and might even make it a bit more diverse.

Pfft don’t you know a large chunk of gamers and mmo players go through games like a fat kid goes through cake these days? Its a fact. People in general go through video games much faster these days. MMOs take a bit longer. This doesn’t surprise me. There’s not many games out there were most of the initial population sticks with after a while.

Short attention span kids. I would not want to call them gamers.

Nope, no-one doing the frostgorge train, i asked many times. And no-one in fow wvw that I know of.

Woops, no-one remembers or perhaps there is no need for it. Not one is getting into that situation where you go, it would be nice if I could access my other weapon set now.

I agree whole-heartedly. It may take a little while for people to realize “Zerging the center is bad for PTT”. However once they figure that part out and leave it to smaller groups to fight for, it’ll be wondrous.

And even if the zerg does decide to try and fight in that center, they will be forced to split. Smaller fights, even 10-20 vs 10-20 is a massive improvement in engagement scales in t1.

If zerging the center gives good rewards people will do it regardless of ppt. Maybe not on tier 1, but on every other server with people who do not care about ppt.

So far, all it seems to provide is stat boosts for a fairly large time commitment.

Sure you could zerg it up and spend 10 minutes grabbing buffs. Meanwhile the smart server next door is taking yo cookies from bay.

Imagine the zerg that’s already got your bay (and the rest of your BL) with even more stats! That’s what we’re really going to see.

Don’t know what tier that is. However in T1, the winning server still cannot keep control of EVERY point of every map. Zergs may roam through there every once in a while to get the buffs if necessary, however when there are actual things that cost PPT that need to be taken, these things will be largely ignored.

Maybe not in the top tiers, but in the lower tiers people will just be punished more :/ Not all of them but some will be affected, and who knows there might be more. I hope not.

This made me chuckle, thanks for the laugh! I agree though. Other more major events may be less like this though. They do put a lot of work into the LS and it’s good quality material, for its purpose.
Instead they should focus on changing the content that is already permanently there, the things that players enjoy to do and expand on those. Then agian, so many people agreeing and disagreeing in here.

There were so many people on desolation the server lag was unbearable. Melandru and Grenth are one big lagfest.

I would like to thank FoW and Arbor for this week, even though it was unfair as hell. You guys where outnumbered most of the time and we where bored. Satisfaction for none of us. Let’s all hope for some balanced matchup next week and good luck to all of you.

Yeah it’s easy to label someone a whiner when all he is is kitten ed about the poor server matchups. Makes sense to call me a whiner I guess, but then again I also was complaining/whining about this when we(fow) did the same to vabbi and wsr. It was not fun for me to be outnumber them, and it’s also no fun being outnumbered.
All I want is fair server matchups, and if that comes over as whining so be it :/

WvW was never intended to be an entirely independent game mode, get over yourselves. Most people who wvw also pve. The notifications help them and don’t hurt you.

Hi there, are we ever going to get weapon sets like in gw1? Of course there has to be some rebalancing because switching with some weapon swap runes are a bit too much with this.
I find it hard to believe that people doing pvp or wvw are not sometimes in a situation that requires a totally different set of weapon(s). But in combat you cannot switch(what genius came up with this btw?)
It would allow d/d ele’s to do something else besides picking their nose while they are in a keep trying to defend and almost nothing can be done.

Unfortunately, despite the supposed intention of the wvw dev, in order to get decent loot you have to go to pve.

That probaly why they want to lure us out, to play more pve and say, well this wvw isnt played by anyone, let’s shut it down. We could use that last programmer working on it on some more gemstore items.

After my daily I just join some farm group and get some money.
It’s also nice to get into conversations about farming groups and people running in front of the groups. Nice and polite

See some warrior roaming vids on the wvw part of the forum. They are not auto attack evis spamming . If I try that against them I would be dead meat.

So the worhtless part of it is just that you bought them for MF and not the other stats. Well after a few days/weeks of essence they will have their usefullness back?

Is this different from the really rare ones in GW1? People would kill their mother for a mini kanaxai in gw1 as far as I remember.
Or for the mini frog, which was the rarest of all.

may be introducing new maps can bring more people into wvw.

New maps would be nice, a better reward than farming in pve can also work. But the downside could be it would attract the wrong kind of people to wvw.

It is not an easy task for Anet to try and fix wvwvw and to make it better, I hope they are trying though.

Irony is that I stopped doing wvw against vabbi and wsr(i’m on fow) because we just walked all over them in the end. No fun and I could imagine what it must be like to be on the receiving end. And right now we are on the receiving end and it’s no fun to be outnumbered by such large numbers.

Mine has gone from 3/4 to 1/4 aswell

I had 4/4 and almost 5/4. Got reset to 2/4 and i could not give a kitten. Before the end of the week I will have 5/4 again by just playing the game.
I cannot be kitten ed off about something like this. :/

I guess some people have more time to waste than others.

Could be, the last monthly was pretty easy because of the invasions. But the new one with the veteran kill even easier.
