i made a study about this…. with 3 leagues for EU, you’ll have 9 team in a league….

with 9 team in a league you will have a total of 12 unique match up where no team will face one another more than once, and we’ll have 3 match ups every week that will last four weeks….

ANET says they will make 12-team leagues for NA, so i’m not sure how ANET is going to implement it, if the requirement is “no team will meet another team more than once”

each team will play 4 times… no team meet another team more than once….

so 9-team league is good.

DH/NSP can have a fair match up by double-teaming CD.

There’s no need to limit Champion Boxes to 20 per day. What they should do is implement diminishing returns on individual Champions so that subsequent kills will give inferior versions of Champ bags until they stop dropping altogether (around kill #3 or 4, perhaps). That will encourage people to move on to different maps rather than just staying in the same map for hours and hours.

So what you’re saying is make it even worse than only 20 a day. 3-4 champs drop their usual boxes then its garbage after that? ya good luck with that.

I think you’ve misinterpreted my post.

The OP’s suggestion was to limit Champion Bags to a flat 20 per account per day. My suggestion would let you hit the Frostgorge Champs 3 – 4 times, then hit the Orr Champs 3 – 4 times. Repeat for Southsun, Fireheart Rise, Sparkfly Fen, all the way down to maps like Queensdale and Wayfarer’s. The diminishing returns is PER CHAMPION. It would thus encourage people to move on to different maps rather than just sitting in Frostgorge all the time.

what’s wrong with people preferring to stay at one map ? they can farm just anywhere, it just happen that people have common preference of Frostgorge….

not necessarily.. it actually made certain items previously very expensive cheaper now…. take charged lodestone for example…..previously 3.5g, now hover just above 2g…..

yeah, Scarlet events and the Frostgorge champtrains are affecting CD as well when we were fight T2/T3 servers 3 weeks in a row…..

CD still have some SEA/Oceanic players left, but not as many as it used to be… most of them went to TC…..

yup getting the same……

no need nerf. they are good as they are. as for the overflow issue, people should try to make effort to initiate champtrains on their servers, no need to guest to the already stacked servers. it only take few people to do that.

most CDzen are casual WvW player, mostly farmer, and would think of anything related to farming….. including tower lords.

well, i bought 9 stack of ectoes long ago back when it was 19s, tried to sell it when it went to 27 for a brief before it went down again to 18s, so i had my ectoes selling price locked at 27s.. recently it went up and sold for that price…

i could have made more now had i not sold them at 27s, but well, some you win, some you lose, in the end i still make profit….

I’ve heard the frostgorge zerg gets 7 or 9g/hour, I forget which, and that’ll even get you a bunch of gear and boxes meaning a better chance at finding a precursor yourself.

Or an ascended weapon box. If you get one of those you might reconsider wanting that legendary altogether if it’s the same stats and you can throw any skin you want on it.

i have to agree with the champs farming probably give you more, with a chance for expensive skinned weapons…

gathering can be very boring after a while..

800g is an unrealistic amount of gold in this game. I don’t think I’ve acquired that much gold within 6 or 700 hours of playtime. The maximum amount of gold all together I’ve had in this game is probably something around 300-350, and I grind hard core when I play.

I did truly quit btw, I quit months ago after the mystic toilet ate all my gold, and I just reinstalled and then uninstalled the game a few hours ago for the 2nd time after I checked out this update to see that it was nothing but fail. The Mf thing was a good idea, that’s about it.

i’ve gathered 1000+gold just by doing that….

monthly got reset. good for those who completed them already. bad for those nearly completed them.

for those completed, you can do it again and gain more points…. completed mine on the 1st day of the month. it was super easy with the Invasion events…..

i’m working on my legendary right now. got my precursor already, and at the stage of preparing all the Gifts. farming everyday now to get all the mats. yeah.. this is Grind Wars 2.

will the existing precursor be upgraded to ascended ? they are precursor for legendaries after all…..

i just want to know whether this is intended and not a mistake by ANET. +25% movement speed, permanent, is a very good rune bonus indeed. i want to know whether ANET will later nerf it to something else like +20% swiftness duration…. it is considerably a very expensive run, and i don’ want to buy now only later to find out ANET nerf it….

yeah. it has been said time and time again that the current ranks are due to WvW population, and not very much about skill.

big blob of 60 players can run over 10 skilled players anytime. looks like anet still don’t get it…..

question for ANET : in the new league system, will server A meet server B more than once ?

in Runes of Magic they have this kind of thing purchasable at cash shop. the difference is that item would make the weapon/armor unbinded altogether, back to its original state e.g. “soulbind on equip” so that you can sell it.

so it is not impossible that ANET would implement the same idea if that would generate income more income for them…..

what anet should change to the world vs world is make new battleground with many many maps but cater much much less player per map probably around 15 player per side , so that people can fight with skill rather than mindless-skill-1-spamming zerg…..

there’s also another issue related to transferring : guild upgrades. if only they are maintained/available on every server a guild is on, then probably, just probably people would transfer to lower tier servers….

i still don’t get it why guild upgrades are not independent of servers a guild is on….

i really doubt ANET ever take WvW participation/coverage into the calculation. they simply match the strong server with the weak ones, they don’t care. for them it is the players on the servers fault for not participating…

i’ve suggested this time and time again but hell, no action taken : reduce the number of players per world per map to balance out the coverage issue…

see how it goes, you never try you never know…..

I can’t comment at this time as we haven’t finalized anything. In addition, you should look at it this way, if people flee lower league servers to get into the top leagues, it opens the opportunity for people to move to those lower leagues and finish 1st or 2nd, rather than being in the top league and finishing 6th or 7th. The rewards for finishing 2nd in the Bronze League will be markedly better than the rewards for finishing 6th in the Gold league.

ahah, in that case i would suspect servers from the top league would purposely lose weeks prior to the update, in a hope that they will get into the lower league, so that they can win in the lower league, rather than losing every weeks in the top league…

have your team thought about that ?

ecto price has gone up and down in few updates, i’llstart with the price since the beginning of the introduction of world boss rares….

1. introduction of world boss rares – ecto price went down to around 18s

2.then the world boss rares limited to per boss per day per account – ecto went up a bit to 27, but not for long, it went down again to around 18s….

3. then ANET decided that you could salvage ectos to get crystaline dusts – created demand for ectos since dusts price was so high at that time, so ecto’s price went up again to around 27s, but not for long as market stabilize and more and more people salvaging ectos for dusts reducing demand for it and lowering dust price, thus lowering demand for ectos, it went down again to around 18s

4. then recently ANET says they will introduce ascended weapon that would require ectos to create, so people went panic buy and start stocking up ectos, thus increase their price to almost 40s..

they will probably remove the jugs/drips/drops from being distributed in the next update…..
