yes to both. always do it when you can complete it (after a big attack etc) but if you have to cancel it then cancel it

its a huge burst of damage but its a net loss if you are 30/0/0/10/30. only use it to last hit when you arnt chaining mobs or on a boss. while levelling use it whenever since youre not getting that bonus damage on adrenaline

What content are you unable to accomplish without this as yet unavailable weapon?

I keep hearing all this whining about gating you off from max level gear but what exactly are you going to be able to do with it that you arnt able to do now? Kill Lupi in 12 seconds instead of 15? Its just another thing for casuals to get in a huff about

made a ranger at launch havent touched it in over a year but don’t want to delete it.

was going through my travel bag today and found my design notepad full of GW2 dungeon designs. There was a pang of regret in thinking about things, but the spark and desire is still there to keep designing and building. When I get back from this vacation with the family (Oregon coast), I’ll be eager to find somewhere willing to pay me to do it. I’m glad this experience hasn’t broken my desire for it – I love it, and I can’t wait to get back into it. the encouragement from my friends has been very appreciated throughout this entire thing.

“Play how you want” should NOT mean “able to clear all content.”

today I saw a post by an ele complaining that in full pvt gear and a staff they were having trouble in the gauntlet and that it should be nerfed so they can get the liandri mini pet.

This attitude that no matter what you do you should get a trophy for trying makes this game an absolute joke. If everyone gets the same participation trophy why even try to play better? We need some harder content that not everyone can clear on first try in whatever spec/stat/gear combo they feel is best.

I am speechless. I will however leave you with the response of a guildmate as I was telling them of your guide.

you still take a greatsword with 30/0/0/10/30 but just swap for the 100b and swap back to your a+m. Any other build is simply not as effective.

a/m+gs should be your bread and butter weapons.

having a sword/shield/warhorn are all very situational but nice to have.

swap your knights for zerk. its better to learn good habits right away then lean on a crutch (toughness) and have to relearn those proper habits.

it used to be the signant build but I’m not sure if that’s still the optimal build after the nerf.

Putting points into power and precision is never a waste.

grab an axe+warhorn and a gs for offhand. Once you get your sig ult enjoy permanent swiftness.

9500+ achievements here last round of content was the first time i said forget it and didnt finish the achievements (but really, having to do each achievement twice? who thought up THAT gem?) and now we have a time gated 5 hour minimum to open up scarlet?

Its been a year and the last time we had real actual permanent content was in November with Lost Shore zone and Fractal dungeons. Its been 9 months without any “meat and potato” changes to the game. Living Story is snack content. While tasty and fun you cant live on snacks alone. This game has so much wasted potential and being the anniversary of the launch really starts to put a spotlight on its flaws.

MF was only a story mode mini dungeon that is retooled into a fractal. AR same story. SP same kitten story. FotM was the actual last “real” content we got and it was released last November

warriors are probably the most balanced class all around. It would be nice to see other classes become closer in balance to the warrior but I wouldn’t want them to change too much more.

rangers get exclusive pets for HOM’ing in GW1 which is why it was one of the first classes I made (6 level 80’s and my ranger is still level 16)

melee meta is greatsword for the burst but you can bring a longbow to stack groupwide might before pulls especially useful with multiple theives

grab a staff and follow the zerg closing the portals. tag mobs and leech exp. get 4-5 levels and a ton of loot in 30-45 minutes

I think you read that a little too quickly and came to an opinion before understanding what was being said.
Let me break this down a bit for ya…

“We aren’t terribly picky about what profession you are, but we do ask that you be able to survive through the fights while providing good DPS.”

We have run Arah with a Ranger and an Ele who could both handle themselves well and there was no problem getting the job done and fast, so therefore we would rather judge people on their ability to play rather than what profession they chose to master.

“We do like to be efficient and DPS bosses/mobs quickly, but we are very patient and know that not every run goes perfectly smooth (we’re all human).”

Question. What weapons and pets are the ranger and ele using?

hahaha i feel no sympathy for anyone who speculated on the “nerf.” It didn’t take much thought to figure out that most people DONT farm multiple world bosses on multiple alts per day by switching to alternate servers.

Why is this even a mechanic? Playing a 4v5 with either team at the player disadvantage isn’t fun.

Yea i’m really worried about that happening to me. when i finish a fractal or dungeon and i reequip my twilight i get messages like “o_O you had twilight this whole time? why didnt you use it?”

yea its sad that i cant use the fruit of several hundred hours of play because the stats dont mesh with my build and im afraid of changing even the sigil

With the new patch fixing transmuted stats on legendaries I was wondering if i could safely transmute zerker stats to my Twilight if i intend to get Eternity down the road or if i just keep using it to stand around lions arch and switch to my “real” greatsword when i run dungeons.
